Smoke explodes through the room, I'M BACK! DID YA MISS ME! So real talk this chapter took a lot of time to make, I had a few ways I could have done the ending and it took me awhile to write the way I wanted to. I think I'm happy with this. By the way, this chapter is gonna be a bit messed up. It's time to set up some character progression baby, and what better way than doing that then tragedy? ALSO some news, so remember that store I run? We closed for the winter so I should have time to write, expect fairly quick updates. I also have started streaming on Twitch to so feel free to check me out there as well, I'll post that on my profile. I am still looking for a beta reader by the way so if you want to be a soundboard for me to bounce ideas off of send me a PM. Anywho lets get to the story

No one is born equal. Oshiro Goro knew this, have a weak quirk? Bam! Congratulations! You get to spend the rest of your life in the bliss of retail. At least it's better than having a villainous quirk, or god forbid a quirk that has a bad side effect.

Oshiro wasn't born to be a hero, he had two deadbeat parents with three other children. I mean anyone in that scenario obviously would grow up to be a deadbeat or a criminal. Oshiro decided to be a criminal. As soon as he could he joined the local gang. At first he was just another peon, keeping lookout, shaking down people in an alley. You name it he did it.

Then finally he was recognized! The boss got a job that was perfect for him, some pervert wanted a kid nabbed without anyone noticing the abduction. His quirk would be perfect for the job, while not particularly powerful it had its uses. Anybody he touches with all five fingers he can stop them from making noise, be it talking or even the sounds they make by hitting against something. It would be dead silent as long as he had a grip on them. So a kidnapping in the dead of night he could do!

~evil never sleeps~

No one is born equal. The ghost reborn knew this, he had a small time job and died a meaningless death to only be reborn as the silent follower of a kid. Then after a mistake he got locked away in the prison of shadows. How long he was locked away he did not know, time flew by weirdly in this world. He tried to count the time once only to lose track somehow, hours turning into days into minutes into nanoseconds into centuries. He has forgotten so much in the time he was here. What was his name?

The lightning struck the ground with a tremendous force, rock and stone flying everywhere making a crater. As I arrived at it I gazed into the hole, and to my shock I found something. At the bottom of the crater stood a door, a large dark colored door with a glimmering golden door knob. I slid down the crater to arrive before the door, staring up at it with a slightly nervous expression. 'It could be a way out.' I thought to myself with a frown. I glanced at the knob before reaching forward to open it. I turned the knob slightly before the resistance kicked in. 'Locked.' I thought with a frown turning away from it and taking a few steps back and sitting down.

I stared at the door as I thought about what to do, this was the first thing I saw in this empty world. It had to mean something, either a way out or something! That's when I heard it, a soft knocking coming from the door. It wasn't anything too loud, just a nice steady knock.

Knock, knock, knock, knock. No real rhyme or reason, just a steady beat, almost like a clock.

'I'm still here Izuku.'

~tick tock tick tock knock knock~

No one is born equal. Hisashi Midoriya knew this, as a quirk specialist that worked for the UNHA he had to do a lot of traveling. Working for the United Nations Hero Association was a stressful job, he would have to go from country to country doing research on dangerous quirks to better help kids learn how to not destroy the world with their powers.

Be it little Gregory, with his quirk Sun Forge. Tomasso with Black Heart. Shun, Drain. Every child was special and had their own problems to solve. While he made the world to every child he helped he could not help but feel guilty for not being able to spend time with his own. Sure he would get to see him once or twice a year, and he made sure to send more than enough money home to make sure Izuku and Inko could live comfortably while he worked.

He glanced up at the calendar on his desk, three more weeks until the 28th and he got to go back home for a weekend. What should he get Izuku as a gift?

Maybe a new All Might collector poster. He should ask Jin, he always had a good idea to give.

~absence, invisible, nevermore~

No one is born equal. Toshinori Yagi knew this. Born as a child with no quirk he faced minor discrimination, back in his youth quirks were not as wide spread so at least a few kids in every class didnt have a quirk. He stuck to himself mostly, nobody wanted to hang out with the kid obsessed with becoming a hero who had no shot. Why go for runs or to the gym when you can hang out with friends, eat junk food and play some video games. Every day he would work himself to the bone, trying to become stronger to make up for his lack of a quirk. Sadly no amount of work could match a quirk he would find out.

Thankfully while no one is born equal some are born with luck, an angel descended before him and gifted him power. A power known as One for All. The mighty power of legends that would make him a god amongst men. But not even gods are immortal, and they can find that just because you have limitless power your loved ones do not.

He avenged the angel though, even if it cost him more than he would have liked, he was satisfied that the devil was slain.

~lies, ignorance, mourning, acceptance~

No one is born equal. Kyudai Garaki knew this as he finished his work for the day. He finished writing up the report at his desk before calling for his driver to take him back to the hospital from the quirk clinic he came to help.

Back at the hospital as he walked down the hospital past the various nurses and other doctors he got to the elevator. Putting in his special key the elevator quickly descended down to his secret lab below the hospital.

Walking past numerous large tubs full of bubbling green liquid he would glance at each display to make sure all of the various experiments were as he left them.

Finally getting to the last tube in the line he glanced up at the floating body inside, a wrinkled and bald head with no eyes, facing back to him. An oxygen mask covering the lower face as the body floated in the tube.

A god does not die, they are immortal.

~hidden, recovering, regaining, acceptance~

No one is born equal. Inko Midoriya knew this. Being born with a weak quirk she went through life as a wallflower. Never really standing out at all, until she met the love of her life, Hisashi. They met in college and after a brief courting period they quickly moved in together after graduating. A year later they were married and had a baby on the way. Little Izuku was born. Hisashi had to travel a lot for work, more and more these days it seemed but she was happy. She had her little bundle of joy, and while her bed grew cold at night without her husband she learned to adapt.

Izuku became the light of her life, everything she did she did for him. He could do no wrong and she would do her best to support him. That day was a stressful day after his quirk came in but that was what every mother had to deal with, right? Doctor Tsubasa assured her that accidents happen, and no harm would be done from the accident. While Izuku couldn't get his quirk to work again for the next few tests afterwards, that was also normal. He most likely strained himself and he could come back if it didn't reactivate in a few days.

She got Izuku home, made his favorite meal and decided as tomorrow was the last school day of the week he could stay home with her and relax. If by next week he was still having trouble with his quirk activating then they would go back to Doctor Tsubasa.

Sadly even though he tried most of the day he couldn't get it to reactivate so he went to school on Monday, hopefully it would activate at school.

Her little angel came home that day with a few bruises and burns, while it caused her to panic. He explained he got them working with Bakugo Katsuki, who wanted to help him get his quirk to work.

She made him promise not to try and force it so much and she told herself she would call Matsuri in the morning to try and temper Katsuki's excitable nature. She then called the clinic to schedule a new appointment for after school the next day.

As she lay in bed drifting to sleep that night, she was slightly worried for tomorrow but she knew she needed to sleep to make sure she could help her young son.

She would not get the chance, as a hand grasped over her mouth she stared up into the dark, she screamed but no noise emerged. She thrashed trying to get the hand off of her before a sudden pain blossomed in her chest. Her eyes fluttered weakly as she stared up at the man as he pulled the knife up from her chest, it dripping with blood before it came back down again.

She could smell smoke she thought through the pain.

~the door opens~

I am a bad bad man. I killed someone, did I have to do that. Ehhhh~~~~ yes and no, I could not decide if I wanted to kill Inko off or not so I decided to pull the trigger, or thrust the knife in this case I guess. Inko tends to grind my gears and as a character I am not usually a fan of her, frankly she does more work for me better as dead. ALSO I may have slipped in another character who will be showing up later as a side note, well I mean every character mentioned in this chapter, will show up in other chapters but some more than others and one a heck more. Anywho enjoy this sadness chapter, I like cliffhangers.

Bye~~~~~
