"We arrived back at camp and I made myself comfortable in the Poseidon cabin. I was admiring my locket when I heard a knock at the door. Jared poked his head in before I could respond.
"Mind if I join you?" He asked. I nodded and gestured for him to sit beside me on the bed.
"So," I said awkwardly.
"So," He smiled, turning to face me.
"Have you really been hung up on me for the past eight years?" I smirked.
"Of course that's the only thing you got out of this whole ordeal," Jared sighed.
"Its just the most satisfying part," I shrugged.
"Alright, well, Pearl Jackson. I have been completely and utterly in love with you since the moment I found out what love was. I have spent the past eight years praying to the Gods and giving them offering in the hopes that they would let me find you. There is no one else for me."
"Well, I love you too. Even when I didn't remember you existed, I always felt like there was a part of my life that was missing. Now I know that missing piece was you."
"So, what now?" Jared asked.
"Now we get to be happy and live the life that we couldn't before," I smiled.
"I'll be happy as long as we're together."
"As long as we're together."
And together they were. They lived a long and loving life. It wasn't perfect, but it brought them joy. They were happy and they were together and that was all that mattered. No one could take that from them because they knew that even if they were separated they would always find each other again. They never asked to be Demigods. Life may have been easier if they had been born mortal but they never wished for that because they knew that they were only who they were because of their experiences.
You might not like the cards you were dealt, but every story can have a happy ending as long as you never give up.

Sorry about the radio silence! I got so busy with life that I honestly forgot! I also started to rewrite the story, but I decided this one deserved a happy ending too! Thanks for sticking with me to the end of the line!
