Chapter 4: you'll feel my depth

Hinata coughed up blood as sasuke landed a swift kick in her torso. They have been sparring for just half an hour and all he was doing was dodging but when the first offence occurred she flew off to crash at a tree. Her back would have pretty nice bruises now along with a few broken ribs.

Another thing she noticed was the more she tried to power up and boost her attacks the double her chakra was depleting. She was ignoring this for so long but now she is facing Sasuke all her nerves were working overtime.

The intensity his eyes held, the gracious his motions were, the deadly his aura spiralling in the air, it rivalled the war situation. In the war she had comrades to hold onto here one mistake and she's just a tale to tell. It felt different, it vulnerable but it felt prideful to be trusted. He wasn't holding back and asking her to do petty exercises. she was pushing her limits and how viciously he was making her do so.

Her eight trigrams rotation deflected a hundred kunais at once but she never felt more siphoned before. Her twin lion fists were sucking her chakra like lemonade but the hell to that.

She was taking strikes after strikes in combact, even when Taijutsu was supposed to be her specialty! She can survive a few more broken bones.

"It's no use Hyuga"

"What do you mean! You said you'll help me train. Don't back off now"

"I'm not talking about that. "

"Then what? "

"Your chakra flow it's very irregular. The hyugas are supposed to have fluent chakra flow, with a byakugan advanced like yours it's only fair there's something more to it"

"Right.i never said that before but when I try to power up my chakra depletion doubles. That is why I never use power ups in a battle. It's futile"

"It's very reckless of you to ignore such points. Right now that is your biggest flaw"

"So what do I do now? "

"Hyugas are supposed to be fluent in chakra flow. Figure it out"

"We can sense our chakra but how do you see your own body without cutting your head "

"Figure it out"

"Jerk" She muttered under her breathe and rolled her eyes. Her byakugan activated , a few miles ahead she might have just saw her loophole. "Alright follow me" She crouched down to Sprint from branches to branches to meet her loophole but all she felt was shriek pain in her ankles "ow ow ow ow" She rolled on the ground just to regret it , apparently her ankles were not the only thing broken.

"Rusted ankles hyuga? " Sasuke smirked at her. How this twee women even thought about ANBU was beyond him.

"You're the moisture uchiha" She rolled her eyes. She could have complained more but Sasuke somehow reach her ankle and twisted it again eliciting a epic battle cry of curses from her.

"You'll live hyuga" She was about to kick him in the guts but jumped in glee instead. Her ankles were now moveable abd albeit her ribs were hurting he was right she can live. Out of excitement she patted his head in tippy toes. Ascertaining her actions she went bright red and sprinted into the trees. No she'll never hear the end of it. Damn it.

Sasuke was speechless. How many years had it been since someone has patted his head? He, the blood curdling Sasuke Uchiha who has killed God knows how many and whose name was Enough to make sure class s criminals are send licking their candies was patted in head by a faint prone shy girl and that too because he cracked more of her limbs? The odd part was he liked it. Disbanding the weird thoughts ge stealthily followed the now centre of his attention girl to wherever she was going . She halted after a few miles.

"Nejiiiii niiiisannnnnn" She shouted at soon as she landed on the ground.

"Hinata sama! " He exclaimed back with a genuine smile. Team guy was at their practicing grounds surprised by the sudden outburst of a tattered and muddy hinata.

"Ah hinata sama i see the spring time of youth shining in you"

"What's up Hinata"

"Uh hey guys! Niisan I need your help"

"Of course hinata sama"

"Hai ni San. Please activate your byakugan and tell me about my chakra flow when I attack"

"B-but Hinata-"

"Please niisan" For some reasons her hands were together in front of her chest and the expression was kinda cute. Sasuke on the hand was on the trees waiting for the perfect time to show himself . He was not the one for hesitant greetings and protocols. Neji here was anything but rebellious to his cousin for anything . He did take a hundred needles than deny her.

"Alright, Byakugan" Veins were cracking around his temples as he noted the chakra flow of his cousin. He could see bits and bits of different color of chakra than her original . Once she powered up and started attacking the trees there was burst of chakra in her and suddenly all of it was dissolving around her. He gasped at what he saw .

"Hinata sama"

"Neji nii what did you see? " Her pain in the ribs was still there and movements were making it worse.

"It's very peculiar hinata sama. First you have bits of different chakra signatures in you then when you attack in a motion you're spilling your chakra around. But now your chakra has restored pretty fast"

"Just like I expected" Sasuke landed gracefully on his feet beside hinata. Neji heaved a sigh while Lee and tenten were struggling to suppress a shiver at his sudden arrival.

"So what did you figure out Sasuke" Now team guy had his eyes widened at how their sweet and reserved Hinata daringly and without a care calling the former s class criminal like her long lost friend . It was respectful how unlike them she was not shivering rather than feeling confident and safe.

"You have a trait of restoring your chakra faster than others. In that case you take in chakra from nature which explains the different bits of chakra signature. But since it's not your chakra and you evidently don't have any sort of control on it. whenever you power up your body takes to use that outside chakra and since it's not yours you end up using double of your own chakra. " Sasuke said.

"Uchiha you might have a point"

"When I state things there's no might. It is" He said as emotionless as ever .

"What a confident bastard" Neji glared at him

"Hn"

"Ignoring the pride fight, what do I do? If this continues I'll be helpless in fights"

"Hinata sama.. "

" Say Sasuke you have some plan don't you? "

"Hyuga. If I were you I would have trained harder and made my body get used to it and somehow through the that I could have found a loophole"

"Trial and error eh, Sasuke? " For once team guy felt their throat getting dry hearing the words from hinata.

"I don't have a book written about it" Hinata roller her eyes.

"Hinata sama I can go into the records of hyugas to find some clue"

"Arigatou niisan"

"Hinata sama I can train with you. we can start right now by 500 pushups. Stamina and strength" Lee flashed his teeths to her with a thumbs up.

"No" Sasuke denied. He was getting really angry about the whole nose poking situation. They did their part why can't butt off now.

"S-stamina? " Hinata mused. It isn't a bad idea really. The morning 50 laps of the ground can be converted to something else. She was motivated and dedicated to anyhow find a solution. She had to get strong.

"No" Sasuke debunked again.

"Lee kun are you free in the morning? "

"Hai. I normally start training the first thing in morning"

"Great. Would run around Konoha with me eveyday at the first sunshine? "

"Of course Hinata sama. I'll be glad"

"Arigatou. Tomorrow dawn at konoha gate then? "

"Hai. The spirit of youth"

"Hinata sam you don't have to take it too hard. "

"Nejii ni San I'll be fine. "

"Hyuga are you ignoring me? " Sasuke growled. He really didn't liked this. She was under him then why go to someone else.

"Look , we start our training at 6. I get my warm up done before that. We get more time to train and figure out this" Hinata pleaded him. She swear all that outward nature came with the excitement. In normal times she wouldn't dare to be like that. Even after the events they had been through, Sasuke was Sasuke.

He was terrorizing, barbarous, diabolic and if provoked enough could be extremely sadistic and psychotic. She knew she was volunteering playing with hellish fire she could get burns or be forever desensitised in them. It wasn't his fault he had to be like that. He had his fair share of tragedy. But for her, after following the sun for so many years only to get burnt by it she had a new found conviction to get soothe by the darkness.

Sasuke was confused. At first this women gives him pleading looks and then those freaking unspoken unnamed emotions. What was that? Admiration? Empathy? Longing? Craving? Or... Love? He was taken aback by his own thought. How could a fragile little kitten would fall in love with a wounded lion? If anything she should have known how sinister and demonic he can be and how the wounded could be the most dangerous.

He wasn't blind the women was gorgeous and he was physically attracted to her. He had been keeping an eye on her since the time his blood red eyes caught her sight in the war. One day she would be the uchiha matriarch. By politics or by threatening he was going to do that. But why love? Why does she see him that way? For years he had been surrounded by cowering eyes and shivering bodies. The looks this women was giving was different.

It wasn't the 'love to change you' look it was the 'accept you in your darkness' look. How can someone be like that? He wanted to protect her from the darkness of him and those eyes said they wanted to dive in it. Why? Damn it why?

"Sasuke I'll be there in training ground" She muttered and leaped into the trees. She couldn't. Staying for a moment and having a peek in those eyes could be the most vulnerably intimate she had felt. She was going to fall in love with him. Who is she kidding? She had it bad the first time he intertwined her bloody hands with his. That moment he gained so much trust that she was ready to fall immobilized in his arms.

She fell in love once so many things she let go. But here at this point a look in those dark eyes showed her the depth of falling in love. Was she primed to do that again? And this time mind you it's the fallen angel himself.

She halted her tracks when she reached the grounds. Shortly after Sasuke reached as well.

"Sasuke, we can start training tomorrow again. I'll take my leave now. Thank you for today" She muttered and started walking away. He wasn't dense he understood she was witnessed the same turmoil as his. And all the more reasons to let her out of sight. Assigned bodyguard or not. He surreptitiously followed her, masking his chakra right behind her neck. Blind spot of those beautiful yet cold, icy lavender orbs. This was his way to ensure even her blind spot was not left unprotected.

Driving her thoughts and a mysterious sense of security away she sneaked in the hospital to Sakura. She was going to ask her to heal her bones and keep her mouth shut of her coming. She had been a regular visitor to the hospital anyways. She would understand, she would tell her she was training.

Reaching the location Sakura was terrified of her condition. Hinata couldn't blame her, shinobi or not for someone to have broken bones and deranged breathings for consecutive days was not normal in any case. But she was glad she agreed she could keep a secret. If not she'll Ask sasuke to erase her memories. Yeah that could be done. Healing her bones she trudged down the streets of konoha.

Her eyes fell on the ramen shop. Hungry wasn't even the word to describe with. For those who didn't know she has a huge appetite. But since she was all that ladylike crap she would keep that part of her shut in the darkest corners in the hyuga compound. She took a seat in the stand and ordered a extra large bowl of ramen. Hot bowl of broth and noodle with filling meat was what she needed after a tsunami of emotions, not a blonde loud mouth.

Yes, naruto came and took another seat beside her. If she could she would simply rolled her eyes and left the place but hunger was her restricted chains. She sighed she was helpless here . Thankfully teuchi gave her order and she was as concentrated in eating as she could while using the infamous byakugan.

"Hey hinata! " Naruto greeted her and put his arm around her shoulder. He expected her to get red and start fidgeting. She didn't.

"Hello naruto" She didn't even bothered to look at his face. She simply shrugged.

Somewhere in the shadows Sasuke had his jaw clenched and knuckles turning white.

Amused by her actions in the pit of the stomach he started missing the old one who would have even fainted by now. His order came up and he hesitantly took his arm off her. Halfway through the meal she didn't even looked at him.

"Hey you know where Sakura chan is ? " He asked. He really needed any topic to make her talk.

"Hospital" She answered not even wavering an eye at him.

"Ya know I miss her! I haven't talked to her in a while. We are dating finally. Always having surrounded by so many fangirls and they confessing to me was some point really hurtful. But finally someone who has seen me from a failure has loved me. I'm so glad. You know... "

Hinata took a deep breathe and slammed her fists at the table . She even heard a light cracking noise and the bounce of the bowls of ramen spilling the broth. She stood up opened her eyes with veins protruding around it and glared at the blonde boy who was amused. "Uzumaki Naruto don't fucking drag about your pathetic pity dickshit relationship to me. You say someone who has accepted you as a failure huh? You're a fucking piece of shit blind to say that. For what when we were? 5.I admired you and cheered for you longed for you and admired you for who you were. I didn't care you had a demon inside you and you were a loser . I only wished you for your success. Twice fucking twice I jeopardized my life for you. I confessed to you as my last wish before dying. And just so you know I didn't expect you to come fucking running to me and confess your eternal love. All I wanted was for you to accept it. And what you did? You put me with those fangirls. You know what I'll say this you were never worth me. I have always regarded you as a strong fighter but always adorned the type of person you were. Now I'll say this loud and clear, for me you are only a strong fighter. To the hell with your personality. Damnit. "

She put on some thick notes on the table and walked away. Head high and chest puffed.

Sasuke who was somewhat allergic to physical affections -to any kind of affections honestly had a sudden urge to kiss her senseless.

Neji who witnessed it a few feets away had his mouth agape making sure it was the same cousin who he vowed to protect.

Tenten unlike neji had a hard time processing what happened.

Lee on the other hand started doing handstill pushups chanting something about ' spring time ' and 'youth'.

Akamaru had to bite Kiba and Shino to bring them back to this world.

Teuchi and Ayame felt sorry for their best customer but were happy about the notes.

All while Naruto had a hundred lanes of emotions running through his mind. Sub consciously he took her half eaten bowl and started sipping the hot broth not even flinching on the burnt tongue lips and crushed heart.

It isn't any sort of character bashing and you know that. It's just my way of putting it in one way. I absolutely love the way Naruhina occured but it's fun and exciting how adventurous and versatile you can become with sasuhina. I love you guys and so I love your reviews so much as well.
