chapter 7: Don't complaint

Tsunade's left eye was dangerously twitching, the trouble kinda dangerously twitching. This was one of the rare days when she wanted to drown in a glass of water than oh-so-god-gifted sake. She'd never been the sensory type but her eye twitching can be a different story. Somehow it was a siren that Orochimaru will hiss again. She cringed at the thought of snake sanin. Anything, anything but not him. He was already getting monitored under Yamato and that should be it.

Had she been still the hokage , there already would be a list of ANBU troop ready to investigate. In the era of peace pin pointing the trouble was a real pain. She sighed , plopped on her porch chairs and was ready to have a sweet morning until someone somehow bothers. If Kakashi appears somewhere around then the trouble is insanely serious , ANBU appears then it is confidential but not really catastrophic, Shizune or summon then hospital issues, Naruto appears then she would give him his periodic dose of sense by a nice punch, Neji or Hinata then the seal issue, if Sakura... Eh, Sakura?

She glanced at the pink haired women nervously walking towards her house. Sakura is her best student but her coming uninvited is not a daily occurrence. She spend most of their time together grooming her to takeover her position of head medical, sulk over Sasuke and hang out with Naruto. It was weird for Tsunade when she heard about them both dating. Naruto asking out Sakura in his childhood days was treated like a joke now. He would always pass it like that, everyone knew he wanted the village acknowledgment and pretty girl with pink hair wasn't a bad start.

What creeped Tsunade was their keeping secret from everyone, specifically Hinata. They thought she would be heart broken and devastated so they deal with it later. It was really sore and stupid excuse , still it was their decision. And the fifth knew better than to mingle in hormonal teenage drama. It was just a coincidence while beating Naruto that he spilled the tea or even she would be unaware.

Hinata was a genuinely sweet and warm hearted girl who throughout the years only wanted the idiot knucklehead to be happy and accomplish his dream. That was all she wanted and to prove it she was even ready to toss her life for him twice. For someone this pure intentioned she deserved a proper closure. Playing with her hope was a sick joke to mess with. Hinata is someone who has a great deal of potential but the sense of care always overpowered her need to utilize the gift. That was okay really, if given a chance she won't hesitate to make her, her apprentice. Her excellent chakra control was something made for medics. She would have reached heights in this stream but damn the Clans and their asshole rules.

Medic was considered as a disgrace and waste to the holy Byakugan eyes whatsoever. She was glad that the women was different from the clan and agreed to learn medical jutsu and oh boy did she excel it! Albeit Her deal with bones was quite a tackle. She hated breaking and mending bones. It was too ruthless for her. First time Tsunade heard it she had a pretty good laughter later understanding her situation , she banished her from anything concerned with bones. She was happy and so was her teacher.

"Tsunade sama! " Sakura called standing in front of her now spacing out sensei.

"What's up Sakura ? " She asked Quirking her brows. Her eye was again reflexing.

"I.. It's about Hinata"

"Hinata? Is she alright? "

"She's been training a little too hard"

"Ah training you say? I know about it. What's wrong with training? "

"For starters she's been breaking her bones every day since 2 weeks" Tsunade's eye widened. Bones breaking? What kind of training was she doing.

"What? She's at hospital right? Bones are troubled parts"

"Nuh uh. Evey evening she would come to mend her bones , not even flinch at the approach and then go away. Note every evening"

"Sakura don't kid around me. "

"I'm not. Other than broken bones every time she would have numerous cuts and bruises. She is herself a able medic and from what I know that most Of wounds she would heal before seeing me"

"WHAT? Gentle fist barely requires such injuries. You sure no internal organs are damaged? Who the fuck is training her?"

"Hai Tsunade sama. No internal injuries no chakra instability. And about your last question.. " Sakura trailed off and took a breathe. Tsunade's left eye was itching frantically. "... I'm afraid the answer is Sasuke"

Tsunade abruptly stood up and knocked the chairs around. Her eye was now flapping and her whole body was stiff. "No way. Don't tell me that damned avenger has done it again"

"And that's may not be the whole story.."

"There's more? " Tsunade felt a heart stroke coming .

"Apparently they are in love with each other" Sakura whispered back fidgeting her hands and trying to hold on the tears.

"What. The. Fuck. Sakura ? How dare he hostage Hinata! I'll personally break his bones. Now! " Tsunade roared while stomping in her porch.

"No wait Tsunade sama he is not holding her hostage" Sakura tried to calm her sensei down.

"Explain" She roared back.

"Well it started yesterday... "Sakura explained everything. From accepting the feelings to him attending to kill her. All while she was struggling to hold her tears back. Tsunade however was listening very calmly. It was the calm before storm.

" Does kakashi knows what's happening? " Sakura shook her head . Her eyes pearly from the glistening tears.

"I.. I wanted to talk with him. Yesterday night while returning I got caught up in an emergency and then.. I was so emotionally and physically worn out I passed out. Today I got informed hokage was out verifying the barriers. The location cannot be disclosed. So.. "

"I understand. " She took a deep breath messaging her temples. "As much I hate to admit , it is Sasuke we are talking about. No one can do nothing about it unless they have a death wish"

Sakura winced at her sensei's statement. She was not someone to give in so easily. " Tsunade sama he will hurt her! How can you give up so easily?"

"Sakura I can talk with her. I can not force her. Besides knowing Hiashi I wonder if there's another war coming at hand"

"But-"

"Sakura. She's a young women. She knows her decisions. If something is happening she'll leave some hints. True I'm not trusting not considering uchiha but the fact I cannot do anything with the vicious mutilator still prevails. "

"How? How can you be like this? You cannot be Tsunade"

"Sakura I trust her. That's it. I'll go talk with Kakashi no pervert and Hiashi. And training you said? Where are they training? "

"Uchiha compound"

"Great. Just great. Go to the den to talk with the lion" She sighed. "I need sake. I'll talk to Kakashi when he returns"

"But-"

"Take a day off. You need to figure out your thoughts"

"I'm fine" Sakura whimpered back.

"Sakura" Tsunade held her shoulders and gave her a soft smile. " Everyone deserves love. You need to let go"

Sakura was wracking mess of sobs. No no no no. It was her love! Her first love! The one for which she did everything! How could she let go? Is this some kind of joke? She won't give up. She nodded at her sensei and ran back to her apartment. She was really drained mentally and emotionally. She needs to figure out stuff.

I need sake. Tsunade circled her temples tapping her feet. She trudged back to her house. Just when she thought she would relax. Hyuga and Uchiha, tranquility and catastrophic , kindness and ruthlessness, yin and yang. She exhaled rather loudly. Nothing she could do about it.

She knew it the day she witnessed him obsessively smirking at her. And to say it was months back at the hospital. The time when he was being monitored and treated. He tortured each and every medic who tried to go near him. Only when Hinata would come to work at hospital few times a month he would behave. Even back then she tried to keep her blocks away from him. She barely succeeded In her domain.

He would sneak anyways and keep an eye on her. Of course she kept it a secret. She was hoping it was some sort of curiosity that would pass through time. No she was wrong. The time passed but the curiosity evolved into something else. But love? It was a questionable assumption.

The baka Naruto should have actually given her a chance. That was her plan. Naruto and hinata. They would fit perfectly, balancing each other. She was positive the blonde has some irrational feelings towards the heiress. They were seemingly close from the war. Then Sakura started dating him. She needn't be a genius to guess that it all started with a heart break. Somewhere somehow something happened and now the result is calamitous!

She always knew the Uchihas to be egoistic and proprietorial. She assumed it was a trait carried on by generations along with the tunnel like vision of Sharingan. It provoked them to keep each and every thing they belong in absolute purity and acquisition. For a individual like Sasuke who lost his whole clan through a abstract decision and has been through several phases one of which was living with the inhumane vivid Orochimaru she knew his heights of raptorial claiming would be a whole different league. He'd go slaughtering people like pigs if anyone tried to be a obstacle in his way. Even Naruto wouldn't be excused and the fact that he was the his woman's first love would do nothing but to fuel the fire.

She was convinced that all those emotions would have been suppressed being with Sakura. Her own obsession would simply cancel out his outbursts. Though ever time he disgustingly scowled at her affection she was so sure there would no such feelings at all. Then one day while surveying the hospital security she caught the photage of uchiha attentively observing a ward through his slight open doors. Upon a little investigation she got to know that was where Hinata Hyuga was appointed for her job. First she dismissed it as a coincidence. Then after many many times she caught him staring at her and behaving through the days she had a roller coaster of emotions within. But again the fact she couldn't do anything. He was highly unstable and a flick of wrist , she'd be dead. It was the ugly truth. That made her worry about the shy maiden. Later months nothing happened so let it slide.

Might as well recheck my theory. She thought will absent mindedly walking halfway to the uchiha compound. The other corner of the village. She nodded to all the greetings and vowing in her way through townspeople. Truth be thought she was a little nervous regarding this thing. After all she was about to walk in the lion's den who's probably reigning with his lioness. God dammit.

She masked her chakra and walked stealthily through the streets to the compound. She'll just sneak a bit and then talk only if necessary. Right now she is in no position to oppose their relationship. She can't give the bloodline excuse nor the clan rivalry nor anything, it's none of your business about other's love life unless you're the hokage and probably a pervert too. The said person was not available so she'll just have a look behind the shadows. Yep that's it only a look. Hopefully he doesn't do anything to anger her or the if not anything she is going to crumble the pieces of the damned district.

22 DAYS OF KNOWING SASUKE UCHIHA:

Sasuke and hinata were sparring as usual only hinata had her eyes and ears covered in chakra sealing bandages. Sasuke knew she was too reliable on her eyes which is not fit for a shinobi - byakugan or not. Her other senses were dull. Her availability of the crude nature chakra ignited her senses. And even with both of her vital sensory organs sealed she was keeping up pretty good. Her skin was reacting to evey single move he made. Sure she was not able to use gentle fist very specifically still attacks like kaiten were still in use. It's a miracle how she could use those techniques without her eyes, then again she is hinata. She could do anything with only that nail biting smile of hers.

It was silly how her little actions made the demons inside him grumble and crumble ,itching to run amok. It was fine really. It just went to show how devoted he was to her and Sasuke's devotion can be sometimes oh so deadly. Such that it could kill people, she'd blood, destroy villages and break bones of his own lover. Sometimes he felt a little tug at how rough he could be with her... Does it matter? She is his and he posses such privilege to do such things. It's never like he is killing her just pain. Pure pain and scream. The way he went through all of it, it'd be only fair to make her go through it as well.

"Kuso" He silently cursed. His Offminded state was perfect for her to send a horde of water needles. Some cut his arms and shoulders. Her now ability to use ninjutsu was such a troublesome thing.

"Day dreaming again sasukekun? " Hinata giggled while mocking the voice. He frowned and started playing slashes with his sword. She was quite and concentrating around to catch the wave signals of his sword swinging but he knew better how bad she could be while teasing. Yesterday after the whole emo Sakura episode he imagined her to be mad and angry with him, to his surprise only thing she's doing is teasing him. Who knew getting teased would be so irritable? It was fun otherwise.

At a sudden moment he sized up a bit. Glancing very slyly he spotted a busty blonde on a tree branch few yards away from them. She did try to mask her chakra. Try was a good word since he noticed anyway. He didn't stop though he kept the sparring. His partner's lack of reaction made him wonder whether she knew the information or not. She was not halting her movements so he kept the intense sparring going on.

Day 6. Sasuke was waiting atop of one of the trees a few blocks away from hyuga district. She was late today. An half hour or so. Yesterday was her last day of that seal. She was worn out completely. But relieved it was done. As he predicted the amount was overwhelming and time to time she would have a power outburst. A huge chakra spiral or enormous lions would blast away trees and gigantic boulders like little candies. She was having a hard time holding them in. She would learn by time was what assured them both.

Up until that the week went in a similar way. Morning warm up with Lee, spar with him and then the seal. Only after 40% it took her more time to get her consciousness back. He would already have lunch brought out for them . Again a spar and then head home. Hinata at best tried to avoid him other than at spars. She was embarrassed about the kiss and Sasuke being the most talkative person he is didn't speak a word about it. He enjoyed her Awkwardness and red cheeks around him. It was amusing how red she could get if he got a little closer. He was giving her enough time to think about possibilities but in a few days he would say something about it before she ends up in worst possibilities.

Hinata jogged around her compound and hurriedly ran jumped from roof to roof towards the konoha gate. She spotted the green dressed man doing pushups and landed beside him.

"G-gomen nasai l-lee kun. I-i was so t-tired yesterday s-so I slept a l-little more. " She bowed slightly embarrassed about her insincerity.

"Don't worry Hinata. You've been straining a lot. You must take a break to enjoy the springtime of youth! " Lee gave her a thumbs and flashed his smile. Hinata giggled at his enthusiasm and nodded.

"And here I was worried I offended you"

"Of course not. You can never offend someone! "

"Oh? Is that so? "

"Hai hinata. You're always so full of warmth and Kindness. Anyone would be an idiot to get offended by you. "

"Oh Lee kun you're exaggerating. Thank you "

"Anytime hinata. And oh hinata? "

"H-hai" They were already jogging up and she turned to him.

"Did you meet Naruto? " Hinata froze at his question. The memories of her uncalled outbreak flashing through her mind. Oh no!

"N-naruto kun? "

"Hai. He was looking for you. Maybe it's something important. He was disappointed that you would not talk to him"

"Eh? Ano..I-its n-not like that! I was really b-busy past these days! " She stuttered back hands at her chest. Her heart was beating loudly at what could he has to say. There can be a lot...

"Ne ne I know. Don't worry about it. You should talk to him sooner or later" Hinata lowered her head "h-hai"

"Cmon we're behind schedule today. We have to catch up! "

"Hai! " She cheered back and started running after him.

Sasuke had his jaw clenched and his knuckles turning white. He was furious at Naruto for looking for her, at Lee for letting Hinata know this and mostly at Hinata for fucking agreeing with the bullshit of an idiot! How could she? She was supposed to curse him and let him be. Not agree to meet him. He kissed her and she is his. He was oddly angry and agitated at everything now. Carefully very carefully he guarded all around radius of the women determined to avoid a blonde at any cost.

Hinata put a little more chakra her feet and started catching up wit Lee. She didn't wanted to think about it. After her regular 5laps which was done in time, thanks to the chakra she is holding. She halted at the training grounds waiting for Sasuke.

Out of now Sasuke started to attack her. Luckily she dodged them and started the spar. He was very angry at something and she knew it.

"What the hell is wrong with you? " She yelled while dodging those fireballs.

"You'll be wearing weights from today. First sand ones"

"Alright I'll do it. Why are hell are you angry anyway? "

"Hn"

Hinata was intrigued but the spar was going on. She was balancing her chakra flow and still attacking. In sub conscious she'll sometimes use a elemental ninjustu but to hell with that. Her attacks were too weak in the elemental department. Her muscles were painfully screaming at her. Chakra usage sure had a lot of toll on her body. She was tired and would be passed out any moment. She halted and signalled sasuke to stop as well. Sasuke being sasuke he didn't stop. His attacks were still going on. She was confused now. What the fuck?

"Stop! Sasuke "

"... "

"SASUKE! "

"... " He didn't reply. No answer only attacks. Now she was furious. The feline in her chest roared and that was it. She grabbed his arms locked it's chakra points and held him in place. However avoiding his sharingan.

"HALT IS SAID! I'M DONE" She commanded him and let him go. She unlocked the chakra points and went away from the ground.

She was hungry, thirsty, she skipped anything to eat at morning, her muscles were sore and her brain was dizzy. She wanted something soupy and Slurpry. With meat and warm aroma. Ramen! She trudged her way to the stand and took a seat. Not wasting any time she ordered a large bowl. Impatiently she tapped her fingers waiting for her order. When a pair of arms engulfed her in a bear hug.

Her eyes widened at the orange color and blonde hair. She totally forgot he would be here as well. Kami Sama only thing she wanted was a hot bowl of ramen! What that too much to ask for?

"Hinata chan" Naruto whispered in her ears sending shivers down her spine. Quickly she maintained her composure.

"D-do you want something n-naruto kun? " She inwardly cursed herself for the stutter. She was so confident she was over it. Now what.

"I'm sorry for everything I did. I know it is next impossible to forgive me, but will you please try it once for me? I don't want to lose you hinata chan. Please you're so precious to me. I was an idiot for all those things I did. Give a chance please? " Hinata was froze at her seat while Naruto was tightening his hug. His warm breath brushing lightly over her neck. Making her go nuts!

"I-i-i... " She took a deep breath. After all it wasn't hinata to hold a vendetta against anyone. "It's okay Naruto kun. I shouldn't have reacted like that either. And don't worry I won't go anywhere" She smiled genuinely and Naruto tightened the hug once more before letting her go. He gave her his goofy grin and placed his order.

"Ne hinata chan what are you upto nowadays? " He asked while reaching for the bowl of ramen.

"Training" Hinata was already chewing the stew.

"By yourself? "

"Something like that"

"Beats me. I sensed your and Lee's chakra together and then it's like you vanished somewhere. "

"Oh? "

"Hai. Hey why don't you let me train you? I mean after Lee you're by yourself right?I'm sure I can help you" Hinata choked on her broth hearing those words.

"N-no need for it naruto kun. You should concentrate on hokage grooming"

"Nah no trouble really. All kakashi sensei does is read that perverted book. Besides I want to make up a lot of things with you. " He displayed one of his cheeky grins which few months ago would have made her heart sprout wings, but right now she has a issue to deal with.

"Ne naruto kun? You don't have to. We're completely on good terms. Friends just like before. "

"Friends... "

"Hai. And maybe one day I'll ask you to spar with me"

"Really hinata chan? I'd love to. "

"H-hai" She dug into her food and eat up before he brings on that topic again. The last thing she wanted was two most destructive best friends and worst rival trying to train her. She was having enough with one already.

Sasuke was burning to kill. How dare they! His nails were digging his palms and his jaw might come loose at the pressure he was inflicting. A women is supposed to shoo away men when she belongs to someone else. And this is Sasuke uchiha's woman we're talking about. The only women he has ever to kiss and the only women who has fucking made him go insane. How dare they. Just some nerve they got to mess with him.

Hinata ate her ramen and was about to place some coins when Naruto caught her right wrist.

"Lunch's on me. Last time I messed up"

"You don't have to.. "

"I want to"

"Ano... Alright then"

"Hai."

"Well then see you around"

"Of course hinata chan! " He cheered back and left her wrist so gently when her wrist started to wriggle. She nodded trying to not think too much of his weird behavior and darted back to the training grounds.

Sasuke noticed her hesitant behavior and was somewhat smug. He followed her back to the grounds and gave her q hit in the back. After a few moments the hinata which flew back from the hit was substituted to a log.

"Kuso" He cursed and his sharingan started to find her. He dodged a lion fist. Looking around it was Hinata. She was confused and determined. Not getting bothered by it he drew his katana and started hitting. Many of it missed while many of it started making cuts. She frowned and did a huge kaiten to keep him away for some time.

The spar went for hours. Mainly one of them dodging but nothing too notable. Sasuke frowned and Getting hold of the situation he unlocked his susanoo. Hinata gulped . What the fuck? His attacks were absolute and were blindly destroying acres after acres. Hinata's eye was starting to get dry from continuous use. Sasuke slashed the huge sword towards hinata. Hinata performed her 'Shugohakke Rokujūyon Shō' ;Protective Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms and was able to refrain his gash for quite some time before jumping to a safe distance. She was helpless against the huge monster and it was not a secret.

Taking a deep breath she called out 'Hakke Sōjishi Hōgeki' ;Eight Trigrams Twin Lion Surging Shot and tried attacking Sasuke was in the middle of it. Of course it was no use, a whip of his arm and she hit the ground like a rag dog. She could have swore her ribs cracked again. Struggling to get up she took her positions while her feet were ready to give up. Sasuke had blood dripping down his eyes. He dissipated the susanoo and glanced at the troubling women in front of him. He started hitting with combat. Hinata stood up her ankle was churning her up. She was sure it was a ankle strain, a bad one.

That was the time she broke her right wrist. A single hit from Sasuke and she rolled on the floor crying and screaming. It was also the time Sasuke felt something in his heart wither in frail. He took small and shaky steps towards her.

"NOOOO! STAY AWAY! I CAN STILL FIGHT YOU! I'M NOT WEAK" she shouted her eyes streaming hot tears down her cheeks. She was not sure what she was saying but something, hidden memories and feelings came back to her.

Sasuke winced at her shrill cries. He knew this instances. It was when you get a nasty deja vu of things you never wanted to happen in the first place. It was also a sign she was allowing herself to fight against the subconscious invisible hesitant chains. She was getting stronger. "It's done for today"

"WHY? DON'T PITY ME! I CAN STILL FIGHT"

"You will. Tomorrow. Same time. "

"NO! NOW! I'LL FIGHT UNTIL I STOP BREATHING"

"someday"

"WHY? " She broke into fit of agonizing cries. "WHY AM I SO WEAK? WHY PEOPLE KEEP UNDERESTIMATING ME? WHAT WRONG DID I DO? IS IT A SIN TO BE KIND? IS IT A SIN TO PROTECT YOUR LITTLE SISTER? IS IT A SIN TO LOVE SOMEONE? IS IT A SIN TO BE ME?...ME? JUST HINATA? WON'T PEOPLE ACCEPT ME UNTIL I BECOME A HEIRESS OR SOMEONE LIKE SAKURA AND INO? "

"Tomorrow same time. Don't slack on nonsense"

Her sobs and cry froze. He was right. It was nonsense. He was trying to help her get stronger. She was in no position to complaint. She didn't wanted him to go away from her as well. No she'll get stronger. She'll prove herself worthy to be for him.. For everything.

She stood up with wobbly feet and tormenting movements. Gathering as much chakra as she could she leaped from trees to trees to roof and sneakily into sakura's room. She was there.

Sakura was beyond shocked at the woman's conditions. Dirt , sweat and blood was everywhere and her ankle and right arm was swollen very bad. She blinked a few times to recognize it was the same epitome of gracefulness. She rushed to her side and checked up on her. Ignoring the cuts and blood loss, she had a broken bone and sprained ankle. How was she still conscious was beyond her. She treated her immediately. She was so silent and lost in her thoughts she doubted it was a stone statue or something. Nothing not even a hiss.

"Hey hinata are you okay? "

"H-hai. Arigatou. "

"Don't mention. What happened anyway? "

"Training, slipped"

"Oh Hinata you're so silly. I have healed all I could. But I'll suggest you take it's easy for a week. "

"I'll see"

"Take care hinata. It's a good thing you're chakra somehow is untampered."

"Hn" She glanced at the emotionless woman once again. She didn't say anything. It was all confusing. "I'll take my leave. Arigatou for the help. I hope you'll keep it within you"

"Of course. I understand"

Hinata nodded and left the place. Feeling her joints flex and not kill her. She had a lot of things going on her mind. A lot.

Sasuke sighed. Woman and troubles. But this one is a mystery. Maybe he'll try to hurt less and talk more. Then on a second thought, nah he's good. It's so thrilling.

"Halt" He held her shoulders gently and took her bandages off. She opened her eyes and stared at him. What a piece of perfect! "Lunch? "

"Ramen? " Sasuke scowled at her. She laughed at him. "Alright. Rice ball and tomatoes it is"

He looked away feeling somewhat a warmth spread through him.

"And oh Sasuke? "

"Hn? "

"I wonder what Tsunade sama is upto."

"Hn" He smirked at her. Women, trouble and mysteries.
