"Whoa." Alaric said looking at the wall.

"Told ya." I replied, looking at it too.

"Alright, alright. Enough with the small talk. Tell me what it is." Damon demanded impatiently.

We both shot Damon a look before Alaric answered.

"From what I can tell, it tells a story. A very ancient story." Alaric started.

"And Mason said this was the Lockwood's secret about the Originals. Could this be their story?" I asked Alaric.

Alaric shrugged and looked at me, "Possibly. They have been around for over a thousand years. That would fit the time frame of when mankind drew pictures to tell a story instead of writing words." Alaric said and started to move his flashlight.

"Look over here." Alaric said.

I walked over and saw what looked like to be names on the wall.

"What is that?" I asked confused.

"I've seen this in text books. It's Runic, a Viking script. From the looks of it, these are names." Alaric answered.

"Can you translate them?" I asked.

"I can try. Just give me a minute." Alaric informed.

I nodded and looked around at more of the drawings. I stopped when I saw certain drawings that interested me.

"Hey Ric, what does this look like to you?" I asked.

Alaric looked at my direction and shown the light on the wall.

"Tell me if I'm wrong. This," I said and pointed to a circle made of moons, "Is the moon cycle and below it is a man… and a wolf."

"Werewolf." Alaric muttered.

"So it might be the Lockwood's pictionary diary?" Damon said sarcastically.

"No, the Lockwood's have been here for a long time but not that long. Not enough to put the drawings on the wall." I shot down the idea.

"Oh my god." I turned my head hearing Alaric.

"What?" I asked confused.

"I just translated the names." Alaric pointed to the first one.

"This one says Niklaus." My eyes widen.

"That's Klaus' full name." I muttered in shock.

"It gets better. This one," Alaric pointed to one above it "Says Elijah and the one below it says Rebekah."

"Three of the Originals. I guess that means the other names here are the rest of the family." I guessed.

"Oh come on, this has to be fake. Klaus must have done this to mess with us." Damon scoffed.

"I don't think so." Alaric retorted.

"Prove me wrong then." Damon said crossing his arms.

"This name at the top," Alaric said pointing at it with the flashlight, "Says Mikael." Damon and I glanced at each other.

"Wait a second. Mikael as in the Vampire Hunter, Mikael? That one?" I asked in disbelief.

"We don't know any other Mikaels that Klaus is afraid of." Alaric pointed out.

"So, if these names on the wall are of the Original Family then that means...oh my god." I muttered with my eyes wide.

"Hello, Papa Original." Damon said smirking.

"This makes no sense." I pondered out loud as I stared at the name etched onto the wall.

"What?" Damon asked pointedly.

"I mean, if Mikael is the Original Families father, then why the hell does he want his children dead? I spent an entire summer with Klaus and I've never seen him scared. When we mentioned the name Mikael to him a couple days ago, I felt and saw genuine fear in him. Why?" I asked as I paced around the cave in thought.

"Calm down, wolfie. All we need to care about is Mikael hates Klaus, Mikael kills Klaus. We don't need the reason." Damon said with a tight lip smile.

"I've learned what I need to." Damon said and he turned around and left. Leaving just me and Ric in the cave.

"Why do you want to know?" Ric asked, breaking the silence.

"Because I can't imagine a father killing his own children. If only Elijah was undaggered. I could ask him for the story." I said, sighing.

"Elijah's not but…" Ric trailed off.

"Rebekah? I met her for a total of 5 minutes. I'm not exactly her BFF." Ric gave me a knowing look.

"I hate it when you're right." I muttered with a deadpan look.

"Glad I could help, Al." Ric said grinning.

"Yeah, yeah. Get back to your story translating. I'll get it from Rebekah." I said and walked out of the cave.

I made my way out of the cave and climbed out of the hole from the Lockwood Cellar. I walked up the steps and out into the forest. I looked at my cell phone. Finally. Signal. I pulled up my contacts and tapped on my newest one: Rebekah.

After a couple of rings, Rebekah answered.

"Allye Hale. I'm surprised you're calling me."

"I was hoping you could fill me in on something?" I asked.

"Fill you in on what, exactly?" She was suspicious.

"Why does your father, or should I say Mikael, want you and your siblings dead?" Silence on the other end.

"What do you know about Mikael?" There's the hostility.

"I know Damon found him desiccated in a tomb."

"You're lying."

"Actually, I'm not. There's a reason why Klaus left town without a word to anyone, including you. Think I'm lying now?"

"Meet me at the Salvatore Boarding House in an hour. I'll "fill you in" as you so put it." I looked at my screen to see she ended the call. Now, I can get some answers.

I made my way towards the Boarding house and walked up the front steps. I took a deep breath and walked inside. I saw Rebekah standing in front of us holding a champagne glass in her hands.

"About time you got here." Rebekah scolded and shot me a glare.

"And I highly doubt Damon let you into his vintage wine." I shot back, referring to the glass in her hands.

Rebekah let out a small smirk, "Touché, I knew there was a reason why I liked you."

"All right girls, have at it!" I furrowed my brows in confusion until I saw a line of six girls walk in. All wearing different dresses.

"Okay, now twirl please." The girls did just that.

I let out a whistle, "You compelled your own private runway show. I'll admit, it's not bad." Rebekah smiled

"I need a Homecoming dress. So, what do you think? Pick one." I looked from girl to girl.

"Hm, I kind of like the green one." Rebekah nodded.

"I'm in favor of the red one myself, but the green one is cute. I'll save that one for a rainy day." Rebekah then turned to the girls, "Go away. Remember nothing." She compelled and the girls left.

She then turned me with a smile, "Now that that's over with. Shall we get to what you really came here for?"

"You want to know why my father has hunted us for centuries?" She poured some more wine and then gestured the bottle to me.

"It doesn't make sense to me, why would a father hunt down his own children. His flesh and blood?" I asked as I grabbed a glass and held it out for Rebekah.

"My father has never been the loving type." She answered and poured the wine into my glass.

"A thousand years ago, this town was just a small village. My father moved us here after the plague started in the old world. They lost their first born to it. Ayana was the one that helped guide my family here. Our neighbors accepted us and made us feel welcome. They had powers though. Once a month under a full moon they would turn from man to beast." I raised my brows at that.

"The villagers were all Werewolves?" Rebekah nodded her head. She walked over the couch and sat down. I went to the couch opposite of her and sat down.

"For a long time, there was peace. My parents had more children through the peaceful time. Finn, Elijah, Niklaus, Kol, me, and Henrik. We would seek protection of the caves below while our neighbors turned into beasts. Mother used to say, "there must be a balance". Then, that's when it happened." Rebekah swallowed thickly. I waited patiently for her to start again.

"Niklaus and our youngest brother, Henrik, snuck out one full moon to catch a glimpse of the men turning into beasts. It didn't go as planned, Henrik was attacked by one of them. Nik rushed him to the village but it was too late. Henrik was dead." That's how Klaus' sibling died. He mentioned that before the summer.

"I'm sorry for your loss. I know first hand how it feels to lose a sibling or siblings in my case." Rebekah just stared at me.

"What were their names?" She asked quietly.

I cleared my throat, keeping my emotions in check, "Laura and Cora. Laura was the oldest out of us and Cora was the youngest. It's just me and my brother, Derek, now."

"Can we go back to the story? Not the biggest fan talking about my dead sisters." I pleaded with Rebekah.

"My parents became fearful of losing another child. They wanted to protect us from dying. The witch, Ayana, refused to do it. It went against nature. My mother had to find a way herself." Ok...now I felt dumb. I let out a scoff.

"Wow. Okay. Took me a while to connect that the Original Witch I've heard about is your mother. Kind of obvious when you say it out loud." I grimaced.

"My father wanted to be better than our neighbors. Where they were fast, we had to be faster, stronger, and couldn't die. My mother eventually found a spell that would do just that. That night, we were given wine laced with blood. My father then drove his sword through our hearts." I could feel the anger radiate off from Rebekah.

"He wasn't gentle about it either!" Rebekah took a breath to calm down then continued, "When we woke up our father had us feed to complete the transition. Nature fought back. The sun burned us, the plants that grew around the white oak tree burned us, our neighbors who had opened their homes to us could now keep us out and the tree that gave us life could also take it away. We burned the white oak tree so no weapon could be used to kill us. There was one thing that my parents didn't expect. The bloodlust."

"So, all of you were forced to become Vampires. Rebekah, that's horrible. None of you had a choice. Your parents stripped that away from all of you." I stated.

"They did it to protect us. My mother was only thinking of her children." Rebekah stood up from her spot and glared daggers at me.

"Okay, I'm sorry. They had their hearts in the right place. Happy?" I asked. Rebekah stared at me for a second before slowly sitting back down.

"So how does this tie to your father wanting to kill you?" I asked Rebekah, confused.

"When Nik killed his first human, he triggered his Werewolf gene. My father was never a wolf himself." My eyes widened as the realization hit.

"Klaus is your half-brother." I whispered out.

"My father was enraged when he found out Nik wasn't his son. My mother sealed Nik's Werewolf side to appease my father but it didn't work. He went on a rampage that night and killed every wolf in the village including Nik's biological father. My father then went home and drove his sword through my mother's heart in front of Nik. He said "Since you've broken my heart, I'll break yours". We've been running from Mikael ever since." I let out a breath as I felt my anger rise.

I stood up and squeezed the glass in my hand until it broke. Rebekah looked at me in alarm.

"What's gotten into you?" My eyes glowed red as I looked at Rebekah.

"Let me get this straight. Not only did your parents force vampirism onto you and your siblings, but your mother also sealed away your brother's powers because of her sin." I said pacing around.

"A child doesn't get to choose their parents! Your mother was the one that was unfaithful. That falls on her, not Klaus! He was innocent in all of this and your mother sealed away part of who he is!" I yelled.

"Don't you dare say another word about my mother, or-"

"You'll what?! Kill me? Go ahead! Something tells me if you do that, Klaus will put that dagger back in your heart and you won't see the outside world for centuries." I glowered at her. I turned my back and stormed out of the boarding house. I had heard enough.

"So let me see if I understand this. Vampirism was originally meant to be a form of protection. Esther, the Original's mother, turned them into the first Vampires. The only weapon that could kill them, the White Oak Tree was burnt down a thousand years ago. Mikael ended up killing Esther when he found out she had cheated on him. And now he's hunting down his children because in his eyes, they're an abomination." Megan recited.

I was currently retelling what I heard to Alaric, Elena, Megan, and Bonnie back in the cave.

"That pretty much sums it up, but this is what I've been wondering. Rebekah said she had more brothers than just Klaus and Elijah. We know Henrik is dead, but she mentioned Finn and Kol. Those are two we haven't met yet." I stated.

"So the question is, where are the other two Originals?" Alaric questioned.

"Actually," I started as a memory from Chicago flooded back in, "I know where they are." I answered.

"You do?" Megan asked, raising her brows.

I nodded, "Back in Chicago, Klaus took us to a Warehouse and in that Warehouse were five coffins. Apparently, wherever he goes the coffins go with him. Anyway, he told us that Elijah and Rebekah were in two of them, so I'm guessing Finn and Kol are in the other two but then, who's in the fifth?" I questioned.

"That's a good question. All of Klaus' siblings are accounted for." Bonnie agreed.

"Hey guys, we might have to save the mystery of the fifth coffin for a later time. Elena, did you say Rebekah said that Mikael kill her mother?" Alaric asked, looking at some of the symbols on the cave.

"Yeah…" Elena said slowly.

"Well if I'm reading this right, Rebekah's info is wrong. According to this, Mikael didn't kill the Witch. The Witch was killed by the Hybrid." My eyes widen at that. Klaus had killed his own mother?

"Oh my god...Rebekah doesn't know the real story." Elena whispered in revelation.

"Klaus must have told his siblings a different story. I know Klaus, and I know he has abandonment issues. If his siblings knew that he was the one that killed their mother a thousand years ago…" I trailed off.

"They would have left him." Megan finished and I nodded in agreement.

Elena shook her head, "I need to tell Rebekah the truth. It was her mother. She deserves to know the real reason how she was killed." With that Elena left the cave.

I was sitting at my dining room table, looking over the last few pictures. I still couldn't get it out of my head that Klaus had killed his own mother.

A knock at the door sounded, breaking my concentration. I walked over and opened the door to see Stefan.

I rose an eyebrow, "Stefan? Elena told me you were-"

"Chained up? Well I was, until Damon freed me for some "quality" time. Are you going to invite me in?" He asked, looking at me expectantly.

I sighed and open the door wider, "Yeah, come on in." Stefan walked in and I closed the door behind him.

"I'm guessing someone has already filled you in on us discovering the Original's story?" I asked.

Stefan nodded as he turned around to face me, "They did, but that's not why I'm here." I tilted my head in confusion.

"We found Mikael." My eyes widen hearing the Vampire Hunter's name.

"You're kidding, so Katherine pulled through?" Stefan nodded.

"Speaking of Katherine, I got a call from her. Turns out our Vampire Hunter only drinks the blood of Vampires which is why she was MIA for awhile. But, that's not why I'm here. I have a plan that's different from my brother's and he doesn't know about it, and I'm going to need your help." I crossed my arms and my look turned serious.

"I'm listening." Damon's plan was to kill Klaus for good, but after a recent heartfelt conversation with my dead sister. I found that I'm not very keen on that idea.

"I want nothing more but my freedom back that Klaus took from me and I know how you two bonded over the summer. Right now, you're not exactly his favorite person in the world. What's the best way to instantly earn back his trust?" My brows furrowed in confusion.

Stefan noticed my confusion and answered, "His trust will be restored in us if we kill Mikael, for good." I was taken aback by this.

"Kill an Original? You do know there's only one weapon that could do that and it was burnt down a thousand years ago." I informed.

"Mikael has been chasing Klaus for a thousand years, and every time he gets close, he runs. Now why would Klaus run away if there was no more White Oaks around?" Stefan questioned and this time I knew the answer.

"Because Mikael is the last person on earth with the weapon to kill an Original. One that he's been saving for Klaus and Klaus only." Stefan nodded.

"Tomorrow morning, we're planning on luring Klaus back to Mystic Falls with fake news of Mikael being dead. We can question Mikael if he can really kill Klaus. That will confirm our suspicions of him having the stake. When the time comes for Mikael to kill Klaus…" Stefan trailed off.

"Take Mikael by surprise, steal the White Oak Stake and kill him instead." Stefan nodded once again.

"Klaus' trust will instantly by restored in us. Granting me freedom, and you would be back in his good graces."

"So, are you in?" Stefan asked, holding out his hand.

"I'm in." I agreed and shook his hand.

It's getting closer to Allye and Klaus' reunion. Allye joins Stefan's side in making sure Klaus lives and Mikael dies instead. Something Allye is all the more happy to do now knowing Klaus' background with his estranged family.
