"Okay, let's say Mikael followed Elena in here. He tried to grab her, so he could use her as bait." Stefan started.
We were currently at the Boarding House discussing the plan to lure Klaus back to Mystic Falls. Even Rebekah was on board with the plan after Elena told her the truth.
"And you what? Vervained him?" Elena questioned.
"No, we vervained him!" Damon corrected and gestured to himself, Stefan and me, "This guy is an Original. It needs to sound realistic."
"Two Vampires and an Alpha Werewolf could have done it. It's believable." I agreed, backing up Damon's version.
"Okay, fine. We vervained him, and in the process we discovered that he had a dagger." Stefan led on.
"Which he planned to use on Rebekah, but instead…" Elena added.
"We drove it through his heart." Stefan finished.
"And what happens when he asks to see Mikael's body?" Elena questioned, realizing a bump in the plan.
"Good point! You, my brother, have been compelled to do what Klaus says. So the idea is to lure him back here and kill him...last thing we need is you getting tripped up and tongue-tied." Damon pointed out.
"I've been compelled but Allye hasn't. He'll listen to her better than me." Damon scoffed.
"After the way he attacked her the night he left. I don't think so, brother." Stefan and I exchanged glances, this was my reason why I was going behind Damon and Elena's backs in the first place.
"Klaus is smart. If we tell him that Mikael is dead, he'll want proof." Elena countered.
"Then I shall be dead." We turned to see Mikael walk in. The air thickened around us with his presence.
"What if he wants to see you in person?" Elena questioned.
"Well that means our plan is working. Klaus will absolutely want to see my body. You lure him here, and I will kill him." Now it was our turn to confirm our theory.
"With what? Those daggers won't work on him." Stefan argued.
"The only thing that could kill an Original was burned down a thousand years ago. Are you saying you somehow have a White Oak tree somewhere?" I asked, crossing my arms.
Mikael glanced at me, "You are correct about it being burned, but I am in possession of a stake made from that very said tree. The one that left these ashes." Mikael said, taking out his silver dagger and jar of the White Oak ash. Bingo, theory confirmed.
"Where is it?" Stefan pressed further as Mikael dipped the dagger.
"Not here. The knowing of its location is my insurance policy." But I bet he'll have it on him when he goes to attack Klaus.
"Against what?"
"You leaving this in my heart." Mikael replied, holding the dagger up. He then turned to Elena and I.
"A Vampire can't dagger an Original without dying. So...it falls to one of you." Elena folded her arms and looked at me.
"I'll take it. It is fitting after all, the Werewolf daggering the Original." I said as Mikael handed me the dagger.
Mikael's gaze hardened, "You're lucky I like that fire in your eyes, wolf. Otherwise I would have killed you already. I don't exactly like your kind." I couldn't help but smirk.
"Well you see, that's where you're wrong. I'm different from the Werewolves you know of." With that, I drove the dagger into Mikael's heart.
Mikael's skin then turned gray and he slumped onto the floor. I turned to Stefan and sighed with my smirk still on my face.
"Alright, Stefan. You saw it with your own eyes. Call Klaus." Stefan proceeded to pull out his phone and called Klaus.
After a few rings I heard Klaus' voice, "Portland is fantastic. Once you get over all the whiny music and healthy looking people it is literally a breeding ground for Werewolves." I held back a sigh. Portland was one of the areas on my map. A large Werewolf pack lived there.
"Your father is dead." Stefan said cutting straight to the point.
I heard a pause from Klaus' end before he spoke again, "What did you say to me?"
"Oh, my mistake. Not your actual father and not dead. Mikael. Daggered. What do you want me to do with the body?" Stefan questioned.
"Well, first I want you to explain to me exactly what happened." Here we go.
Stefan told our the story we made up and waited for Klaus' reply.
"I wanna see him. I want to see his rotting body for myself." It's a good thing we knew he wanted proof. Klaus is many things but he isn't dumb.
"Well, he is here. Come by whenever."
"If you are lying to me Stefan, your compulsion will expose you. So, answer with your life. Is what you are saying the truth?"
Stefan eyed me as he continued, "It's true. I saw it with my own eyes. Allye daggered Mikael."
"I want to talk to Rebekah."
"That's not a problem. She is right here." Rebekah walked into the room and grabbed the phone from Stefan.
Rebekah was in on the plan after finding out the truth about who killed her mother. She just hid until Mikael was daggered. I don't blame her. Her father has hunted her and her siblings for the last one thousand years.
"Hello Nik." Rebekah greeted.
"Rebekah, love. What's this I heard about Mikael's tragic run in with the dagger?"
"It's true. He's finally out of our lives for good. I miss you. I'm miserable here." Rebekah pleaded.
"I'll be home soon." Hook, line, and sinker. Klaus fell for it.
"Good. I'll see you then, brother." She hung up and handed the phone back, "He bought it. He's coming home."
"Now, was that easy or what?" Damon said bragging.
I rolled my eyes as I walked back over to Mikael's desiccated body.
"Let's just get this over with." Elena huffed as I pulled the dagger out of his chest.
"I'll take the dagger. Mikael might use it on Rebekah after he wakes up." My eyes narrowed hearing her sudden frantic heartbeat. She's nervous...why?
Just to see, I held out the dagger to her with the hilt of it facing outwards. Before she could grab it, I recoiled my arm and held it away from her.
Again, her heartbeat spiked. She's planning something. I gave her a stern gaze, "Make sure you hide this well. We don't need Mikael making any more trouble than he already has."
I didn't miss the sigh of relief Elena let out before nodding. This time I let her take the dagger out of my hand. One thing is for sure, Elena has her own agenda. Normally I would alert the others but Stefan and I had our agenda.
"What about this one?" I let out a groan as I leaned the back of my head over the chair.
Megan had dragged me dress shopping for her Homecoming dance tonight.
"You know, when you called me I was not expecting this." I informed, lifting my head.
Megan huffed and crossed her arms, "I follow your orders as Beta to the 'T'. The least you could do is help me pick out a dress."
My phone started to go off, "Fine, the blue one." I pulled out my phone and frowned see it was Klaus calling me.
"I need to take this." I walked out of the room and answered.
"I'm guessing you heard the news?" I said, continuing the act.
"I did, love. I just wanted to make sure you were alright. Stefan informed me you were the one to dagger Mikael. Did he hurt you?" He had concern laced in his voice. It made my heart skip a beat knowing that he actually cared.
"No, the Vervain made it a little hard to do that." Part of me hated lying to him again but I had to if this plan was going to work.
"I'm glad to know you're okay, love. Now, do you have any plans tonight?"
"Not that I know of."
"Then allow me to inform you that you are invited to a party I will be having at the Lockwood residence tonight."
"Party at the Lockwood's? How did you convince Carol of this? No wait, let me guess. Compulsion?"
I heard Klaus chuckle on the other end, "You know me so well, love. I'll see you tonight."
"I'll be there." I hung up and immediately dialed Stefan.
While I waited for Stefan to answer, I walked into the bathroom and turned on the faucet so Megan wouldn't overhear.
By the fifth ring, Stefan picked up, "Hey, I know where Klaus is going to be tonight."
I walked out into the backyard of the Lockwood Estate. My brows furrowed seeing teenagers in tuxes and dresses. Klaus never told me it was a formal party. I had just worn dark jeans, a V-neck red shirt, a black flannel, and ankle boots.
"Allye, what are you doing here?" I turned my head seeing Caroline, Bonnie, and Megan.
"I got invited to some party. What are you three doing here? I thought Homecoming was tonight?"
Caroline scoff, "Don't remind me. The gym was flooded and somehow, Tyler made this party like he planned it." That's when Caroline's brows furrowed.
"Wait, Allye...who invited you?"
I open my mouth to talk when I heard a familiar voice over the speakers, "Good evening everyone!" Caroline, Bonnie, and Megan turned to see Klaus on the stage.
"I wanna thank you for being here with me to celebrate. It's been a long time coming!" The crowd cheered as he got off the stage.
"That would be him." Caroline's jaw dropped.
"Klaus invited you?!" She shrieked.
I rolled my eyes, "It's just a party Caroline. And like everyone else at a party, I'm going to have fun." Caroline's eyes widen in disbelief before I walked off.
I walked over to the punch bowl where I noticed Stefan was standing, "So apparently Klaus canceled Homecoming huh?"
Stefan nodded, "Well it surprised me, but it doesn't change our plan. Mikael and Damon will come here, I'll head back to the boarding house in a while."
"I see the gang's all here." Stefan and I turned around hearing Klaus' voice.
"Quite the Homecoming you got here." Stefan said sarcastically.
"Could have given us a heads up. We're a bit underdressed for this." I gestured to all the teenagers in tuxes and dresses.
"Ah, no need to be so formal for this occasion. I've been planning my father's funeral for a thousand years. Granted, in no version of it were any of these people invited, but you get the idea." Klaus said as he walked to the punch bowl and poured himself a cup.
"So, what now? Stop running?" Stefan asked as he grabbed the cup.
Klaus took a drink, "Hm- now I reunite with my family."
"You mean the family that you daggered?" I said skeptically.
"None of that matters anymore. Mikael is gone. Bygones will be bygones." Klaus shrugged off. His attention was caught behind me.
I turned around and saw the Homecoming Queen. "Seems the Homecoming Queen still walks among the living, which leads me to believe Rebekah isn't here. Where is she?" He said looking at Stefan and I.
I furrowed my brows in confusion, she should be here. She was so excited for Homecoming.
"I don't know, she should be here." I said just as confused as Klaus.
"She's supposed to be with Matt." Stefan said pointing at Matt who was alone and no Rebekah.
"Oh come now, you two can be honest with me. Where is my sister?" Stefan and I gave Klaus an annoyed glare.
"We just said we don't know. Now would you like us to show you to your father?" Stefan exclaimed.
"Well, it wouldn't be a party without the guest of honor, would it? Bring him to me." Klaus said as he downed the rest of his drink and placed the cup on the table.
"Alright. Perhaps there's something in it for us? My freedom from your compulsion? Your trust for Allye?" Klaus's eyes flickered to mine hearing the last sentence.
"I would have you know my trust in the little wolf is already restored. As for your freedom, once Mikael is dead and his weapon is destroyed you can have 'll be my pleasure to give it back." Stefan eyed at me and I nodded to him. Assuring him I was still with the plan.
"Alright. I'll go grab the body." With that, Stefan walked off.
"Restore my trust in you?" Klaus asked in amusement as soon as Stefan left.
"I may, or may not have left out the part to him that I asked for forgiveness on what happened." I said shyly.
"Well why we wait for Stefan to return. Shall we head inside for a drink?" Klaus asked and gestured to the Lockwood Mansion.
"You know I can't get drunk, right?" I said as I started to walk.
"I'm well aware. We did spend the entire summer together." Klaus with that smile that made his dimples stand out. My heart skipped a beat with that smile.
I was now inside the Lockwood Mansion now alone. Klaus went off to talk to Tyler. He told me to wait for him to come back. I scanned the area and still didn't see Stefan. He should have been back from now. Though there are plenty of Hybrids everywhere. Klaus wasn't kidding when he said he was building up an army.
I froze when a sudden scent hit my nose. I turned my head and saw Damon walking in. Oh no...that's why Stefan's not here. Damon happened!
I started walking away to make sure Damon didn't see me. If Damon is here, then Mikael is here. I need to slip away from this party. Just as I turned a corner, I bumped into a familiar chest.
"Easy, love." Klaus said as he grabbed my arms before running into him, "Where are you off to a hurry to?"
"I need to get some fresh air." I answered.
Klaus rose an eyebrow, "Alright, I can come with y-" "No!" I said quickly.
Klaus furrowed his eyebrows at me, "Allye, what is going on?"
"You said you trust me, right?" I asked.
"What does that ha-" "Klaus, do you trust me?" I interrupted and repeated again.
Klaus made eye contact with me and after a moment of silence between the two of us. "Yes." He finally replied.
"Then please stay inside. No matter what happens. Stay. Indoors." I repeated and walked off to the back door. I could feel Klaus's gaze on me as I retreated.
I walked out the back door and pulled out my cell phone. I pulled up Stefan's name on my contacts and sent him a text.
'Please tell me you're awake. Assuming Damon snapped your neck?'
I waited for about a minute or two but still no response.
"Hello, Niklaus." My heart stopped hearing Mikael's voice coming from the front of the house.
"Shit." I said under my breath.
I felt my phone vibrate in my hand. I looked down at the screen to see Stefan's reply.
'Mikael fed from me. On my way back now.'
"Hello, Mikael. Why don't you come in? Oh, that's right. I forgot you can't." I heard Klaus say as I snuck up to the front of the house. I tucked my phone back in my pocket and peaked over the corner.
I saw Mikael standing at the front yard and Klaus did as I said and was staying inside.
"Or you can come outside if you want?" Mikael suggested.
"Or I could watch my hybrids tear you limb from limb." Klaus retorted.
On queue, Klaus's hybrids surrounded Mikael in a circle.
"They can't kill me." Mikael scoffed.
"True. But it'll make a hell of a party game. All I have to do is rub these two fingers together and they'll pounce." Klaus said and held up his right hand.
"The big bad wolf. You haven't changed. Still hiding behind your playthings like a coward. You only forget. They may be sired by you, but they're still part vampire and can still be compelled by me." Mikael said with a smirk.
In that instant, one of the hybrids brought out Elena...no that scent belongs to Katherine. But Klaus doesn't know that. Crap. Please, Klaus stay inside!
"Come out and face me or she dies." Mikael said as he grabbed Katherine.
"Go ahead. Kill her." Oh thank god, he thinks he's bluffing.
"If she dies, this lot will be the last of your abominations." Mikael threatened.
"I don't need them. I just need to be rid of you." Klaus retorted.
"To what end, Niklaus? So you can live forever, with no one at your side? Nobody cares about you anymore, boy! What do you have other than those whose loyalty you forced? No one. No one!" I let out a growl as my eyes glowed red. He just crossed a line.
"I'm calling your bluff, father. Kill her." Klaus repeated but his voice was shaky. What Mikael said hit a chord with him.
"Come outside and face me, you little coward. And I won't have to." Mikael egged on.
"My whole life you've underestimated me. If you kill her you lose your leverage. So go ahead. Go on. Kill her. Come on, old man. Kill her!" Klaus raged.
Mikael laughed, "Your impulse, Niklaus. It has and will forever be the one thing that keeps you from truly being great." Mikael then stabbed Katherine. I'll give Katherine that, she is a good actress. She fell to the ground and played dead.
Katherine got back up holding two grenades in her hands.
"Katherine…" Mikael said in shock.
"Agh!" I snapped my head and saw Damon stabbed Klaus with the White Oak Stake in the stomach.
The grenades went off and I saw Stefan flash by me to where Damon and Klaus was. My turn.
I shifted into my full wolf form and let out a snarl as I sprinted for Mikael.
"What?" I heard Mikael say in surprise as I rushed at him. I lunged at him until my jaws were around his neck. I bit down and Mikael yelled out in pain as I pinned him on the ground. I snarled and tightened my grip as he used his hands to try and pry my jaws away from his neck.
I felt wind hit my whiskers and Klaus was now over Mikael with the stake in hand. Mikael had let go of my snout and was now trying to push Klaus's arms away as he held the stake inches from his heart. I added more pressure which made Mikael choke and that little bit of give gave Klaus enough time to drive the stake into Mikael's heart.
I let go of Mikael's neck and stepped back as Mikael's body burst into flames with him making gurgling screams. The fire died out and Mikael was now nothing but ash.
"What the hell did you two do?!" Damon yelled looking between Stefan and I.
"He's earned his freedom." Klaus said as he walked towards Stefan.
Stefan finally let go of Damon as Klaus approached him. Damon flashed off as soon as he did. "Thank you my friend. You no longer have to do as I say. You're free." With that, Stefan vanished as well.
Before Klaus could look back, I turned around and ran into the forest. I didn't need anyone seeing a wolf and freaking out. Since I'm in this form, I need to make it all the way home before changing back.
I kept running through the forest towards the direction of my house. I didn't mind this form too much. The power flowing through my veins, the rush of being at my strongest and fastest. Maybe I should use this form more often. I'll have to start keeping spare clothes in my car.
"Aroooooo!" I skidded to a stop hearing a wolf's howl. I paused and looked around. That wasn't a normal wolf's howl. It was a Werewolf. But it's not a full moon?
Out of curiosity to find out, I tilted my head back and let out my own howl. Answering the other wolf's howl. A moment passed by and I heard a rustle behind me.
I turned around and to my shock, a sandy blonde wolf with golden eyes stood there. Klaus?! In his wolf form?! He's only done that when he first broke the curse.
I flattened my ears and let out a whine and took a step back. I lowered my head as Klaus began walking over to me. Klaus stopped in front of me and sniffed my muzzle that still had Mikael's blood on it from my bite. Klaus then did something I didn't expect. He pressed his head against mine and nuzzled me. Was he thanking me?
I nuzzled his head back then stepped away. I gestured with my head to follow me. I then took off again with Klaus following beside me.
The two of us ran side by side as we bobbed and weaved through the trees and rocks.
My house came into view and I sped up to get there faster. I could change back and so could he. Thank god, I don't have neighbors or else they'd be calling someone seeing two wolves showing up.
I slowed down as I got to the back of my house. I came to a complete stop as I stopped on my back porch. I turn to Klaus and let out a whine for him to stay here. I walked up the steps to my porch and went through the back doggy door. I was gonna hear about that from Klaus after we changed back.
I went upstairs to my room and changed back. I quickly grabbed my pajamas on the bed and put them on. I then walked to Derek's old room and grabbed some spare clothes.
I headed back down the stairs and went to the back door. I opened up the door to see Klaus still in his wolf form on the porch.
"Come on in." I said and gestured inside. Klaus padded through the door and into the kitchen.
I put the spare clothes in front of his mouth.
"Bathroom is just around that corner." Klaus grabbed the clothes and walked around the corner.
I let out a sigh and walked to the kitchen sink and grabbed the wash cloth on it. I wet the cloth and went to the mirror by the back door and began taking off the now dried blood surrounding my mouth.
I heard footsteps approaching and saw Klaus enter the kitchen from the mirror.
"That was rather quite nice. Running with you like that." Klaus spoke up as he stared at me through the mirror.
"I thought you didn't like fully turning. You've told me before that you feel weak like that." I said as I finished wiping my mouth.
Klaus didn't answer me, he just watched as I went back to the sink and placed the now blood stained washcloth into the sink.
I turned my back to the sink and leaned against it. "Are you alright?" I asked softly.
"Why wouldn't I be? Mikael is dead, thanks to you and Stefan." Klaus said and gave me a grin but a sad one.
"I heard what he said to you…" Klaus bit his lip and turned his head away from me.
My heart broke seeing him like this. "Well, he was wrong." Klaus turned his head to me.
"You're not alone and I'm not leaving your side." I started, Klaus now fully turned towards me. Completely focused on what I was saying.
"You have me, I care about you Klaus. No, it's more than that. I love you, Klaus. It took me forever to realize it and I've felt it since you left. I know you think I'm just saying it now because of what happened, but I'm not. I love you, Niklaus Mikaelson." Klaus swallowed and his eyes were glistening from tears forming. Yet he said nothing.
I looked down as my heart ached. Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
"Say it again." I lifted my head up hearing Klaus's shaky voice.
"I love you, Klaus." He quickly strode to me and I was taken aback as he grabbed the sides of my head and kissed me fully on the lips. After the initial shock wore off, I kissed him back with just as much force he was giving. He moved his hands from my head to my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I felt myself get picked up and he sat me on the edge of the counter and pressed me as close as he could towards him. He trailed away from my mouth and started to attack my neck.
I softly gripped his hair in my hands which caused a growl to come from him and I felt his sharp teeth scrape against my neck. This in turn made me moan and I could hear and feel a deep growl in his chest.
"Bedroom. Upstairs." Were the only two words I could manage to say in the moment.
In an instant, Klaus flashed us to my bedroom and I felt my back make contact with the bed. Klaus ceased his attack on my neck and used his vamp speed to remove his and my shirt. He leaned forward and captured me in another heated kiss.
I felt a wave of power hit me and I pushed Klaus to roll onto his back. I broke the kiss and smirked as I stared at him with my eyes glowing red. Klaus returned my smirk with his own and his eyes glowing their golden color and his veins darkening under his eyes.
In a flash I felt myself be flipped onto my back again. This time Klaus pinned my wrists to the bed with his hands. "Two can play at the Alpha game, love." He said with a suggestive tone. This was going to be a long and fun night.
After twenty-six chapters, it has finally happened! Allye finally acts on her feelings and professes her love to Klaus. I'm not too comfortable writing lemon scenes hence why it's only a lime scene. We'll see where Klaus and Allye's relationship goes in the following chapters to come.
