Goblin

2002

He slowly stood up, extending his arms in hopes to embrace Parker. The boy never moves from the spot he stood in. The Goblin could see the hesitation in those blue eyes, now exposed due to the damaged mask.

"I been like a father to you," Goblin pleads. "Be a son to me now."

C'mon you little weakling. Just one little step and your pathetic life is over. The boy who supposedly possess the ability of precognition, was obvious to the glider floating behind him. Waiting to impale him at any moment.

"I have a father." Parker states. "His name is Ben Parker."

Parker's statement had caused a turmoil of rage and disappointment within the green armed suited man. His face shifted from the persona of Normal Osborn to the menacing Green Goblin. It made no difference now. He was going to kill the Spider-Man once and for all.

"God speed, Spider-Man."

Parker's eyes gasp and widen as now the boy sensed his glider was about to end his life. However, Goblin wasn't expect for Parker to leap himself out of the glider's path as it flew straight into him.

"Oh."

2024

The moment he felt the blades penetrate his lower abdomen was as quick as pulling off the band-aid. He felt as if some unworldly force was pulling him deep and deep into the abyss of darkness until he was on concrete ground.

"What's going on? Where am I?" He questions to himself. He looks over his surroundings, realizing that he's in some dark alley. Maybe this is Hell for him. Maybe this is how it was when you died, the pain doesn't last and it's almost like falling asleep.

His perks up at the sounds of footsteps approaching in his direction. Goblin peaks from behind the garage can.

A young red haired woman was walking all alone yet cautiously. At first, the Goblin mistook the woman for Mary Jane Watson but upon further inspection that this wasn't the Spider-Man's forbidden love. This woman was much older, maybe in her 40's with greenish/hazel eyes. And her red hair was darker shade, perhaps burgundy.

"Is someone there?" He uses his 'Norman' voice. She may not be Mary Jane but there was some about her that drew him in. An unexplained feeling.

The woman stops in her tracks, clearly trying not to appear frighten. "Are you hurt? Can I help you?"

"No," He honestly didn't feel like keeping up with the Norman persona. He was in a mood for a different kind of game.

"Keep your distance." She warns him.

The Goblin lets out a chuckle. It was clear that she didn't have any items to defend herself and even if she did...

"You're lying. But I must say your red hair is beautiful." He stood up from the shadows, watching her reaction. "But I want to play a game. You can be little red riding hood and I'll be the big bad wolf. I'll give you a head start."

She took off running, not caring that she dropped her bag in the process.

He chases after her ten seconds later but the woman didn't get too far from him. Actually he ended up finding her at a dead end. When the woman realizes that she had no where to go, she pathetically screamed for help.

"Why grandma, what big eyes you have?" He taunts as he stalks towards her.

She slowly slides down against the wall.

"The better to see you with, my dear."

A pair of 7 in knives unsheathe themselves from his arm. He watches as her eyes stare directly at the knives, glinting in the moon. She was breathing heavily.

"Why what big knives you have?"

He traces her cheek with the tip of the blade, adding a bit of pressure to break the skin. The woman didn't even react to it.

"All the better to kill you with!"

But suddenly she vanishes. The Goblin ends up stabbing into the brick wall where she once was.

Peter-2

The sounds of whimpering is what brought him into the alley. Someone needed his help. It was similar universal need of help when it got here but yet it was not from the same person. Peter cautiously makes his way into the alley.

The first thing he notices was long dark burgundy hair crouching against the wall. Soft frighten whimpering. Arms in a defensive position. Peter came to the conclusion that someone had attacked the woman. He slowly approach her, waiting for his spider-sense to alert him of any danger. Luckily, whatever danger that was around is gone. At least for now.

"Hey, are you okay?"

The woman lowers her arms slowly.

Frighten green hazel eyes stares into his blue ones. There was a sense of familiarity the longer he stares into her eyes. It was like he known her from somewhere but can't explain it. Peter notices a small trail of blood on the woman's cheek.

"You're bleeding." He reaches into his jacket pocket and pulls out balled up napkins and gently pressed it against her cheek. She never stop looking at him. It was like she was in a dream-like state.

"Have we met before?"

"I-I don't think we have," Peter tells her. "Did often walk alone in dark alleyways?" Peter recalls not long ago when Mary Jane had thought it was a good idea to take a detour through an alley late at night. The murderous rage he felt when he saw those men surrounding her. He pushes those thoughts out of his mind as quick as they came. Not something he wanted to think about.

She looks down, trying to think of something to say. "People recognized me so I ran to get away."

"I don't understand. Why would people recognize you?"

"Have you been living under rock these past weeks?" The woman questions. "Spider-Man's secret identity revealed to be high-schooler Peter Parker. Then people found out I was his teacher and neighbor and so they been on my ass as well."

Peter was in shock but didn't show it. So people in this universe now knows who Spider-Man is.

"Oh." He removes his hand from her cheek, letting the blood stained napkins fall onto the ground. "I'm sorry you have to deal with that."

She shrugs. "I mean it does suck but I'm more worried about Peter. He been thought so much. Poor kid had to repeat 11th grade after being blipped for five years-" Her cell phone vibrates in her pocket and she quickly pulls it out to answer it.

"Hello? Ned? Ned. Ned. Please-slow down." Her brows furrow in confusion. "Wait? Screw up the universe? Okay. Okay. Yes, I know where the Sanctum Sanctorum." She hangs up the phone, rolling her eyes.

"You have children?" Peter asks her.

She shakes her head. "Students. I'm one of those teachers they considered 'cool'. Or the one adult who understands them. Listen I need to go but thanks for fixing up my face." She gives him a small smile. "Hopefully I'm not scarred beyond recognition."

He couldn't help but to smile back. Her smiling was...comforting. Soothing. "I never got your name."

"Charlie Conner but I'm sure you already knew that from the all the news reports."

"Um, sure yeah." He lied.

"Guess I'll see you around, tiger."

She makes her way towards the bus stop as the next bus was approaching the stop. He never took his eyes off her as she boarded the bus and watch as it departed, driving away until it was out of his vision.

Peter glances back to the stop where he found her. He knows for sure that she wasn't in that spot originally up until he heard her whimpering.

He knows that she is from this universe and yet...

He knows for sure that someone else had tried to attack and possibly kill Charlie.

He knows he had to find her again.
