I drove up behind the Lockwood's property and put the SUV into park. The adrenaline wore off a little way into the drive back. I've been awake now for over twenty-four hours and I feel like death right now. That is how exhausted I am.

I turned off the SUV and opened the car door. I got out and made my way to the back. I opened the hatch and it let swing open, revealing the coffin in the back.

"Welcome back, love." I turned around to see Tyler standing there but with Nik's soul currently inhabiting it.

"No offense, but I'm not going to run into your arms and kiss you until you're back in there." I said and pointed to the coffin. Referring to his actual body.

"That's fine by me. I prefer that actually." Tyler/Nik said with a smile. I grabbed the bar of the back of the coffin and yanked it forward.

"Your body or not, you're still a hybrid. Give me a hand with this." I told him as I pulled back the coffin.

Tyler/Nik went to the right and helped pull until it was out of the back of the SUV. I carefully went to the back of the coffin and Tyler/Nik to the front since the cellar entrance is a tight squeeze.

We walked down the steps of the cellar and set the coffin at the back. We set the coffin down. Tyler/Nik walked around and opened the lid. He stared at his singed body.

"We really did get lucky, didn't we?" He said and looked at me.

"Yes we did. Skin should heal up once there's blood back in you." I stated.

"I see his body survived the flames." I turned around to see Bonnie.

I let out a tight smile, "Yes it did. Now, if you could finish this plan up and put him," I said pointing at Tyler/Nik, "Back into his actual body. We'll be on our way." I said, smirking.

Bonnie shook her head, "I can't right now." I raised an eyebrow at that.

"Bonnie." I started dangerously. She held her hands up, "Let me explain before you bite my head off." She said quickly.

"I have to help Elena before she has to feed." I let out a scoff.

"You've got to be kidding me. She had vampire blood in her system when she died?" I said in disbelief.

"She went to the hospital and Dr. Fell gave her some of Damon's blood that she had on hand to save her from a brain bleed. Rebekah caused Matt to go off Wickery Bridge. Stefan saved Matt in time but Elena chose to die then. She doesn't want to be a vampire. I'm trying to figure out a way to stop the transition." I rolled my eyes.

"And why the hell should we have to wait for you to do a fool's errand? There is no third option once a vampire is in transition. Elena either feeds or she dies. If she already accepted death, why not just finish it?" I took a step forward and Bonnie stepped back.

Bonnie looked at me with disgust, "What happened to you Allye? The Allye I use to know fought tooth and claw to keep Elena safe."

I stepped dangerously close to Bonnie with my eyes glowing their crimson red, "That was before she became the reason why the Salvatore Brothers are trying to kill my mate. We're better off with Elena dead."

"If Elena's dead then that means Klaus can't make anymore hybrids." I scoffed.

"We have three liters of her blood. We only wanted a pint before any of this happened. You have until an hour before sundown to do your fool's errand. Then you will put Nik's soul back in his body. No excuses. I am not playing games, Bonnie. Do we understand each other?" I asked lowly.

"Crystal clear." Bonnie said and turned around to walk out of the cellar.

She stopped when Tyler/Nik flashed in front of her, "No one needs to know I'm in this body either, Bonnie. Nobody." Bonnie nodded and brushed past Tyler/Nik as she left.

Tyler/Nik watched Bonnie left then turned to me with a smirk on his face.

"Now I get why you said it was sexy seeing me get protective of you. It is quite the turn on." He said suggestively.

"Again, not happening while you're in Tyler's body." Tyler/Nik gave a frustrated sigh.

"That witch better hurry up then." I couldn't help but chuckle at his frustration.

Hours had already passed and we now had a stand for the coffin to lay on. Tyler/Nik was sitting on top of it while I leaned against the brick wall of the room with a deck of cards in my hand and playing solitaire.

I heard Tyler's phone go off again. I stopped what I was doing and watched as Tyler/Nik pulled the phone out of his pocket.

"Ah, you incessant woman!" He complained.

"Carol again?" Tyler/Nik showed me the phone screen that said "Mom" on the caller ID.

"Answer it. Tyler would never miss his mother's calls." Tyler/Nik let out a sigh before answering.

"Hey, mom. What's up?" I stifled a laugh hearing Nik try to pretend to be Tyler. He sent me a look my way for that.

"Tyler, thank god. Are- are you okay?" I heard Carol asked on the other line.

"Fine. Why? What's going on?" He asked.

"Pastor Young had me arrested this morning. The Council grilled me of yours and Allye's whereabouts." My ears perked hearing my name and it made Nik go into alert as well. Carol continued, "Tyler, don't tell me where you are, the less I know the better."

"Why do they want Allye's whereabouts from you?" He asked.

"Alaric told them Allye is close to you and me. I don't even know where Allye is to begin with. Hopefully she's far away from here. There were these Werewolf Hunters that called themselves Argent's looking for her." My eyes widen hearing that name.

I stood up and walked over to Tyler/Nik and took the phone.

"Carol, it's Allye. Tyler's safe with me. Where are these hunters?" I asked urgently.

"I-I don't know. They interrogated me this morning but let me go when they realized I knew nothing about where you were at."

"Carol, I need to know. The Argent's are the family that has hunted the Hale's for generations. If they are here, it means they are here to kill me. I need to find them before they find me,ambush me, and end up cutting me in half!" I yelled into the phone.

"They're working with The Council. They already took Caroline and other Vampires. The Council hired the Argent's to handle you and Megan. All I know is they're taking them in these vans and going somewhere."

"Caroline was taken?" I asked for confirmation.

"Yes." She answered.

"Then I can track them down by scent and don't worry about Tyler. I'm keeping him safe." I hung up the phone and tossed it back at Nik.

"Looks like I'm killing Argent's today." I said and headed for the stairs leading up.

Nik flashed in front of me, "You're not going alone. They're here for one reason and one reason only. To kill you. You saved my life. It's my turn to save yours."

I waited in the tree line of the forest. Two police cars, a black van, and a black jeep drove down the roads. My eyes glowed red as I saw the Argent symbol on the back of the jeep. I watched as Nik walked out in the road right in front of the police car.

I watched as he kicked the front of the police car. He vanished away just as the black van hit the front car and was launched in the air and landed on the roof. The other police car couldn't stop in time and also hit the first police car and flipped over several times. The jeep stopped in time and I saw four men climb out. All of them wearing the Argent family crest on their bullet proof vests.

"What the hell happened?" I heard one of them yell.

"I don't know. Stay alert! Something's out here." Another one of them said.

They drew their weapons and slowly walked forward. I shifted and ran down the hill, straight towards one of the men tailing the back.

I let out a roar as I tackled one of the men and bit down on his exposed neck and moved by head back. Taking part of his neck with it.

"Shit! It's Allye!" One of the men yelled and aimed a rifle, with I'm guessing wolfsbane bullets in them, at me.

Nik appeared and grabbed the barrel of the gun and aimed it down when he shot. "I don't think so, mate." He said with a smirk. He took the rifle out of his hand and hit him in the face with the butt of the gun.

He yelled in pain and fell onto the pavement. Nik then turned the gun around and shot the man in the neck. Killing him. "You've got to be kidding me. She's with a hybrid." One of the last standing Argent's stated.

I stood up and growled as I glared at the two remaining Argent's. Blood dripping off my chin from my earlier bite. My eyes glowing a bright crimson red as anger surged through me.

"So this is where've you been hiding, Hale." One of the Argent's said, keeping his gun pointed at me and the other had his crossbow trained on me.

"I haven't been hiding anywhere, Argent. I'm done running and hiding from your family." I said harshly and let out a low growl.

"Then you just signed your death certificate." The one with the crossbow said.

"No. You have." Nik said with a malicious smirk on Tyler's face. Never seen that look on Ty before.

Nik flashed over to them and had them both in choke holds and lifted them off the ground. He tightened his grip around their throats. This causes the two men to drop their weapons. They both tried to pry Tyler's hands off their throats but to no avail.

"So this is the famous Argent Family. I've heard all about you from Allye. How you've hunted her family since the 5th Century and it's been a hatred passed down from generation to generation. Quite the family feud. Now that I'm part of the Hale family. None of you Argent's are harming another Hale. Ever." Nik squeezed hard enough on their throats to close their airways. The men fought and Nik didn't let up on his grip until they went limp and their hearts stopped.

Nik let them drop to the ground while I headed over to the van that was laying on its side. I ripped the door off its hinges to reveal Caroline and Rebekah tied up with vervain rope.

"Allye?" Caroline said unsure.

"Hang on. Let me get the ropes off you." I said. I got into the van and easily broke the vervain ropes holding her.

I could feel Nik approach behind me and Caroline saw. "Tyler?!" She exclaimed in shock. I freed Caroline first and helped her up.

"Grab her and get away from here." I told Nik as he helped Caroline get out of the truck.

"You're alive? How are you alive?!" Caroline cried.

"I'll explain later." Nik said and flashed him and her away.

"Rebekah, you have enough strength to vamp us out of here?" I asked as I tore away her ropes next.

"Yes, but what's going on? Tyler should be dead." Rebekah said in disbelief.

"Remember that insurance plan I was telling you about? That's not Tyler." Rebekah's eyes widened as I tore away the last of the vervain ropes.

"The Body Jump spell." She said in realization, "That was your plan." I nodded and helped Rebekah get out of the van.

"We need to get out here now. I hear distant sirens which means backup is on the way." Rebekah put her hand on my shoulder and flashed us away from the scene.

Rebekah stopped us further into the forest. My eyes widen seeing Caroline kissing Tyler/Nik. She didn't know.

"Caroline, stop that's not Tyler!" I yelled out in a panic.

She stopped and looked at me and I grimaced. She was going to hate me.

"What do you mean?" She demanded.

I cleared my throat, "I should have told you sooner. I had Bonnie do a Body Jump spell on Nik...before he died." A look of realization hit her face.

"That's Klaus?!" She shrieked, pointing at Tyler.

"I find this highly amusing." Rebekah said grinning widely.

"Allye Cassandra Hale! I'm going to kick your butt!" She yelled at me and pointed her finger at me.

"Oh she included my middle name. She's pissed." I said with a grimace.

"I didn't know your middle name was Cassandra." Rebekah said surprised.

"Neither did I." Tyler/Nik added.

"Put Tyler back, Allye!" Caroline yelled.

"I would love to, Care! It's called Bonnie decided not to do it this morning. She's chasing some false hope that Elena's transition can be reversed."

Caroline huffed, "Where is Bonnie then?"

"I don't know but I can sniff her out." I told Caroline.

"Then lead the way. The sooner we do this the sooner I get my boyfriend back. Ugh. I'm gonna have to wash my mouth out with soap." I deadpanned at her.

"You do realize it's still Ty's body. Stop being dramatic." I said and walked off in a direction I smelled Bonnie's scent.

"I still theoretically kissed Klaus and no offense Allye but it was gross." I turned my head over my shoulder as I walked and gave Caroline a look.

"I'm a little bit upset, myself. Why did neither of you tell me? I mourned for you!" Rebekah exclaimed and smacked Tyler/Nik on the shoulder.

"Because unlike you and Elijah, Allye had an actual plan to save my life. Sister." Tyler/Nik said harshly.

"If Allye would have told us what she was planning in the first place; we would have helped her with her plan." Rebekah argued.

I let their bickering become background noise as I focused on Bonnie's scent. I instantly recognized where it led.

"You've gotta be kidding me. There again?" I muttered.

"You know where Bonnie's at?" Caroline asked.

"She's at that damn abandoned witch's house again. I should have expected that." I commented.

"Perfect. Allye, head back to the cellar. The rest of us will go to the witch's house and have Bonnie perform the spell." Tyler/Nik stated.

"Why only Allye?" Rebekah asked, confused.

He gave her a look, "That is none of your business, sister. Go." He said looking back at me.

I backed off and shifted to start werewolf running towards the Lockwood cellar.

I rushed down the stairs of the cellar with a blood bag in hand. I swiped it from the Salvatore house on the way back. I opened the coffin back up. I set the blood bag on top of the other half of the coffin.

My eyes glowed as I tore off the padlock in the middle of Nik's desiccated corpse. That caused the chains to become loose. I pulled the chains off of Nik and threw them on the floor behind me.

I took the blood bag and punctured a hole in it with my claw. I hovered the blood bag just above Nik's mouth. Blood already started to drop from the bag onto him.

"Come on, Bonnie. Finish the stupid spell." I muttered.

After a few seconds I started to notice the grayness of Nik's skin began to disappear. The burn wounds on him also began to heal. His soul is back!

I saw Nik's eyes open and he had enough strength to sit up and take the blood bag for himself. I felt instant relief knowing that he was completely back now.

I then suddenly felt my back meet the wall of the cellar and Nik's lips on mine. It took me a second to register what was going on before I started to kiss him back. I felt Nik place one hand behind my head and completely pinned my body up against the hard wall behind me. He had his other hand on my hip and I had my arms around his neck.

I pulled him closer to me and the kissing became more passionate. I didn't want to feel like almost losing him again. I felt Nik gently bite my lower lip and I let out a moan when he grinded his hips against mine.

Nik quickly took his jacket off and took off my shirt before taking off his that had a hole in the middle and his blood on it. Nik lifted me up and supported me under my thighs and pressed me back against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his midsection automatically. He trailed his mouth away from mine and down to my neck. I let out another moan when I felt his fangs scrape against the skin of my neck. The same place that Nik had marked me the first time.

Nik let out a growl and he pressed his body against mine harder. I felt one of his hands stop supporting my thighs. I heard the familiar sound of a zipper being undone.

"You really want to do it here?" I asked breathlessly. Nik stopped his attack on my neck and his blue eyes bore into my green ones.

"I've been wanting to do this since this morning. I don't care where we have sex right now." I could see and feel the lust and desire coming from him.

"Then where were we?" Nik let out a smirk as his eyes glowed golden and the veins under his eyes darkened. Nik put me down and captured me into another kiss and I could already feel his hands tugging at the edge of my jeans. This is the first time we're not having sex in a bedroom. Not going to lie, it's kind of hot.

I woke up to the sound of a car engine and road noise. I felt something draped over me. I opened my eyes to see I was in the backseat of Nik's SUV and I had a blanket covering me. I looked out the car window and saw the night sky drive by.

That's right, now I remember. After we had our fun in the cellar. We got dressed again and got into the car to head back to the mansion. Only thing though is I was in the passenger seat when we left. I didn't realize I fell asleep. Then again, I've almost been awake for two straight days.

I used my arms to prop up my upper half. Nik was driving in silence but he must have heard me get up. His eyes shifted to the rearview mirror to look at me.

"Go back to sleep, love. You've been awake for too long. You need your rest." I frowned, hearing an edge to his voice and I could feel that he's angry.

"What's wrong Nik? You're mad." I stated.

Nik's jaw tense and his knuckles turned white as he gripped the steering wheel. He remained silent however.

"Nik. What happened while I was asleep?" I asked again in a firmer tone.

"Rebekah happened. She destroyed the last of Elena's human blood." Horror set in for me hearing those words.

"What? Why would she do that?" I asked in shock.

"I was putting away the blood bags while I let you sleep in the running car. Rebekah came in and saw me. She was still upset about not telling her I was alive. She grew even more upset seeing the blood bags. She started on a rant saying I don't need anymore hybrids. Then she did what Rebekah always does when she gets emotional. She acts on impulse. She destroyed the first blood bag by throwing it, and before I could stop her from destroying the other two. She popped them like bloody balloons. I snapped her neck and stormed out." Nik recalled the story.

"What are we going to do now?" I softly asked.

"I don't know, but I refuse to give up. I don't plan on losing you." Nik stated.

"Nik, the only immortal spell we know of can only be done by a witch that is dead now." I said solemnly.

I saw Nik shake his head, "I refuse to believe there is only one spell for immortality. I'll find something. I promise you." I down casted my eyes. At least one of us has hope right now.

"Let me worry about this. You've done plenty these past couple of days. We're heading to Beacon Hills first like you wanted. Now please, love. Go back to sleep. I don't need you passing out on me later." Nik said with a gentler tone.

I laid back down on the backseat and pulled the blanket back over my shoulders. After everything I did to bring back Nik and thinking we had a win. Turns out it was really a loss.
