"So not only is Dean dead but is Connor dead and Elena is the one that killed him?" I repeated back into my phone.

"Unfortunately, yes. I need to find another hunter to replace Connor, but I have more pressing matters now." Nik said over the phone.

"What's that?" I asked curiously.

"I need to stop Elena from killing herself." I raised my brows in shock.

"Why would she do that? I know she hates being a vampire but not enough to end it."

"Remember how I told you I killed the original Brotherhood of The Five?"

"I do." I answered.

"I had hallucinations of The Five. I was tormented in my dreams and my every-waking moment. The hallucinations made me want to kill myself only problem is, I'm immortal." I was lost for words hearing that.

"They're that bad? How'd you stop them?" I asked.

"I didn't. For fifty-two years, four months, and nine days I endured the hallucinations until one day it just stopped. That was the only time in my life that I felt time." Nik admitted. Elena wouldn't last fifty-two years of hallucinations.

"In that case, good luck with that. Elena is not that strong minded." I stated.

"Why don't you come with me to pick Elena up?" Nik asked.

"Can't. Megan is having me help set up for the Occult Exhibit at the school." I answered. I looked around the room that was currently being set up for the exhibit.

"Why would you care about that?" I could hear the confusion in his voice.

"Because the main attraction to the exhibit is about Silas." I answered.

"Still no response from Callista, then I take it?" Nik guessed.

"None, but someone did view the post. Something tells me that was her. I just need more information on Silas to catch her interest. Such as telling her we're waking him up. I'm hoping for something here where I can take a picture and send it. Then see if she takes me up on my bluff or not." I explained.

I watched as Professor Shane walked in with a box full of stuff. Megan told me about him and he was the one to talk to.

"You better hope you find something of interest in that exhibit then. This might be your only shot to get her attention." Nik stated.

"Well the person that's going to help me with that, just walked in. I'll talk to you later." I said and hung up the phone. I put my phone in my pocket and walked over to Professor Shane.

"You need some help with that?" I asked. He had a box and a large rock on it.

"All this stuff is pretty heavy, you sure?" He asked. I grabbed the box from him and easily lifted it.

Shane's eyes widened and he looked impressed, "Not heavy to you, apparently. You lifted that like it was a featherweight." I chuckled.

"Where do you need this at?" I asked.

"Oh! Right over here." He said and walked in front of me. I followed him where the podium and overhead light was at.

He grabbed the rock off the box and put it on a pedestal by the podium. "You can set that box right here." He gestured by the podium.

I set down the box and stood back up. "Thanks for the help again. I'm Atticus Shane but please call me Shane." He introduced and held out his hand.

"Allye Hale. Allye is just fine." I mimicked him and shook his hand.

"Hale?" Shane asked, surprised and he stopped from shaking my hand. He looked around us first before leaning in.

"As in one of the longest family bloodlines of Werewolves?" He whispered.

I narrowed my eyes at him, "How do you know that?" I asked. Shane lit up like a kid on Christmas morning.

"Are you kidding? Your family is basically royalty to other werewolves out there. Your family showed up as early as the 5th Century in any historic records. This is such a trip, meeting an actual Hale Werewolf." Shane said enthusiastically.

"It's not just me here in Mystic Falls anymore. My brother and sister are here too." Shane grinned.

"I would love to meet them at some point. Um, if there is anything you need from me. Just let me know." I smirked at that.

"Actually. There is. It's about Silas." Shane lost his grin and grew serious.

"What about him?" I took out my phone and pulled up the picture of the painting.

"You know about this legend?" I asked and showed him the painting.

He looked at me, stunned. "This is the painting to the Legend of the First Werewolf. Where'd you find this? I thought it was lost to history." He asked.

"It was found in Rome, Italy. I just came back from there. I'm trying to contact Callista herself. Silas is the witch that made her an Original Werewolf. I need more info on him to get her attention." Shane grew his smile back.

"I think I can help you with that." He looked around the room before grabbing the rock again. "Follow me." He said and walked towards the door to the adjacent classroom.

He opened the door and let me walk in first. He followed and shut to the door before locking it.

"I'm not trying to be weird. Just don't need anybody being nosy is all." Shane assured and walked over to the teacher's desk. He set the rock down.

"What have you tried so far to get Callista's attention? She's a two thousand year old werewolf. It's going to take a lot to grab her attention.

I pulled up the post on my phone and showed him. Shane leaned forward and read the post.

"That's a good start, but you definitely need more. What angle are you trying to go for?" He asked.

"I need her to believe that I'm planning on waking Silas from his stone prison. I need her to believe my bluff and come seeking me out." Silas chuckled.

"You came to the right person then. I have researched every legend and every aspect of Silas. If there's anyone that can make Callista believe Silas is being awakened it's me." Shane assured.

"Okay. Tell me what to type and any pictures to send." I said.

"Tell her that you have a contact that has Silas' headstone and knows how to lift the spell placed on Silas' tomb with an expression witch at the ready." I raised an eyebrow at him. That was very specific...a little too specific.

"Anything else?" I asked after finishing writing the draft.

"You want Callista to come looking for you right? Take a picture of the headstone but make sure you include something that has Mystic Falls High name in the same shot. That will tell Callista that you want her to find you. She'll be too intrigued not to take the bait." Shane advised.

I pulled up my camera and walked around the headstone. I lined up the shot with the Mystic Falls Timberwolves flag in the background. I took the picture and showed it to Shane.

He nodded, "That'll work. Can I ask you, how did you know to use the dark web to contact Callista?" He asked curiously.

"My boyfriend, you could say helped with that." I said with a smirk and submitted the update to the post with the picture of the headstone.

Shane raised his eyebrows in surprise, "Sounds to me your boyfriend is pretty well versed in how to get in contact with some serious supernatural beings." He narrowed his eyes at me, "Can I get a name?"

I smirked at that. If he knew me out of all supernatural beings, I'm pretty sure he's heard of the Originals. "Klaus Mikaelson." Shane stood there stunned with his eyes wide and his jaw slightly dropped.

"You're telling me that not only did I meet a Hale Werewolf but also the girlfriend to the Original Hybrid himself? Allye Hale, you have truly turned my world upside down right now. If I told this to my occult studies group they would not believe me right now." He said in amazement and was pacing in front of me.

He suddenly stopped and looked at me, "That's why you're wanting Callista to find you. To make you an Original Werewolf like her. You want to be immortal, don't you?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders and put my hands up, "You got me. I plan on living forever with my mate." He put his hands on his head.

"You need to stop before my mind is literally blown out of my skull. Not just a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship with Klaus but you're each other's mates. Both of you are bonded for life and in his case that is a very long life. You might get to be the first normal werewolf in history to turn into an Original Werewolf." I tilted my head in confusion and interest at that.

"What do you mean?" I asked, confused.

"There's another story about Callista. After Silas did the spell to make Callista the Original Werewolf. She was so enraged that Silas made her become a werewolf that she denounced him and left him. The next day is when Silas became immortal and Qetsiyah killed his one true love and imprisoned Silas in his stone prison he's in today. When Callista found out what Qetsiyah did to Silas, she killed Qetsiyah. Callista was then all alone and since she's immortal she couldn't die. Callista lived a very lonely existence until the 5th century when she found her mate. However, her mate was human and this was before the existence of vampires. Callista found a witch that was willing to try and cure her of her Lycanthropy and become human again." My eyes widened at that.

"I know that story. A werewolf tried to cure Lycanthropy with magic but it just made a new species of werewolf. One that was more man than beast." I stated.

Shane nodded, "And that werewolf was none other than Callista herself. She couldn't bear the thought that she would watch her mate grow old and die in front of her. She wanted to become human again since she couldn't make her mate immortal with her. Unfortunately this was before the common knowledge that Silas was locked away in his tomb with a cure to immortality. Callista was forced to face her greatest fear and watch slowly as old age took away her mate." My heart felt for Callista. That must have been difficult to watch.

"Wow." Was all I said.

"I know, sad right? But now you know what I meant. You are in the same predicament that Callista once was in the 5th century. If there is any werewolf that she will turn into one like her, it's you." Shane assured.

"So there is a way I can turn into an Original Werewolf then?" Shane nodded.

"Of course. Callista probably has several witches at her disposal that know Artemis' Blessing and can use it to turn you into the same kind of werewolf she is. If you do in fact meet Callista and become an Original Werewolf. I would love nothing more than to interview you on the experience." Shane stated.

"If it works." I corrected him.

Shane smirked and shook his head, "No. When it works. Trust me. Callista will find you. Now if you excuse me, I need to get back to the exhibit. It was fun meeting you Allye Hale." Shane grabbed the headstone and went back through the door we came from.

I heard a ding come from my phone that signaled I received a notification. I swiped down from the top of my phone to pull up my notifications. My breath caught in my throat as I read, "You have my attention, Triskelion. I look forward to meeting you." It worked. I looked through the window of the classroom door. I watched as Shane presented his exhibit. He knew exactly what to say. Something is off about him.

Now I just need to hope that Callista finds out why I named the account username as Triskelion. It's the Hale Pack's symbol and should be easy to trace back to me.

I walked out the other door of the classroom that led to the hallway. I grinned as I dialed Nik's number.

He picked up after the second ring "Calling back so soon?" I could hear music and chatter in the background.

"Where are you?" I asked as I walked out the double doors of the school.

"I'm at the Mystic Grill. Why?" He asked curiously.

"I have good news that I need to share in person. Not over the phone." I stated. I made my way to the school parking lot.

"Then I'll eagerly wait for you to arrive, love." I hung up the phone and took out my car keys from my pocket. Things are starting to look up.

I walked into the Grill and my eyes landed on Nik at the bar. He grinned seeing me and waved me over. I walked up to the bar and took a seat next to him. He already had a glass of red wine in front of him. As soon as I sat down, the bartender pushed a glass of scotch on the rocks in front of me.

"Someone knows my favorite drink order now." I said smiling and picked up the glass.

Nik returned my smile, "I'm getting to know a lot of your favorite things, love. Now, what did you want to tell me?" He asked and leaned his arms on the bar.

I set down my drink and pulled out my phone. I went to the forum post and held up my phone to Nik. Nik took my phone from me and held it up.

The edges of his mouth curved into a smirk, "You got her. Callista is coming to you." I held a proudful smile and took another drink of my scotch.

"And according to the person that helped me, Callista is more likely to help me than any other werewolf." Nik tilted his head out of curiosity.

"How so?" Nik asked and took a sip of his wine.

"You know the story of how the two separate species of werewolf came to be?" I asked.

Nik gave a nod, "A werewolf tried to cure Lycanthropy with magic." He answered.

"That werewolf was Callista. She tried to cure herself of her immortality because she mated on a human. This was during the 5th century and vampires didn't exist yet. Nor was the common knowledge that Silas' tomb held the cure to immortality. Callista was forced to watch her mate die of old age. We're in the same scenario she was once in fifteen hundred years ago." Nik grew a solemn look on his face and took another sip of wine.

"I don't wish to know how she felt. I can't imagine my life without you anymore, Allye." Nik said and placed his hand on mine that laid on top of the bar table.

"And that's why I'm sure she'll help us. She won't want to see history repeat itself." I assured and placed my free hand on top of Nik's.

"Isn't there a PDA rule in here?" I deadpanned and turned my head seeing Caroline.

"That's funny coming from you." I mused and smirked at her. Nik and I let go of each other's hands. Caroline came next to me and leaned on the bar.

"Caroline. To what do we owe the pleasure?" Nik asked, clearly annoyed.

"I want you to give Elena back." Caroline answered.

Nik chuckled and shook his head, "They sent you to sweet talk me. Sorry but I'm not into blondes." Nik said with an amused smile.

"Actually, I'm asking Allye." I furrowed my brows and shifted my eyes to look at Caroline.

"Me?" I asked in disbelief and pointed at myself.

"Do you see any other Allye Hale's in here?" Caroline said sarcastically.

"It is still a no, Caroline." Nik warned.

"Why not?" Caroline asked.

"She needs my help." Nik stated simply.

Caroline scoffed and rolled her eyes. I let out a sigh and leaned back in the barstool, "It's not details you need, Care. It's bad and Elena is way too weak minded to handle what's going on in her head right now. Besides, don't you have Tyler and Hayley drama right now?" I asked.

Caroline narrowed her eyes at me, "That's none of you business, actually."

"I can kick his ass if you'd like? It'd be like old times for me." I offered with a grin.

"Old times?" She asked curiously.

"I saw the Lockwood's every summer as a kid. I basically grew up with him. I was ten years old and a brand new werewolf that didn't know how to control my anger yet. Tyler pissed me off on the wrong day and he ate mud that day." Caroline covered her mouth. She removed her hand to show a huge smile and laughed.

"He's never told me that story." Caroline said.

I grinned, "Gee, I wonder why?" I joked and took another sip of my scotch.

Nik was next to me, his head down and laughing silently to himself. "If you tell him I told you that. He will kill me. He made me pinky promise him to never tell anyone that he got his butt whooped by a girl." Caroline rolled her eyes at the last part.

"I won't tell him or make fun of him." Caroline said

"I will gladly do both." Nik piped in with a large grin on his face.

I gave Nik a look and lightly slapped his shoulder. I heard the sound of the barstool next to me move. I looked to Caroline and she was now sitting and ordering a drink.

I gave her a look and she noticed, "I have decided to drink with you. I want to hear more childhood stories about Tyler."

I grimaced and shook my head, "I tell you any more and I'll have an angry Hybrid on my ass." I told her.

"I think I'm answering for Klaus when I say Tyler won't get near you. So spill." I glanced over at Nik and he winked at me while taking a sip of his wine.

I let out a sigh, "Fine."

"Tyler use to have a crush on Cora?" Caroline said in shock. Her jaw was even dropped.

I nodded my head, "Cora and Ty are the same age. I was eleven and they were ten at the time. It was puppy love as the adults called it. Cora liked him too, but the next summer after I turned twelve was when the fire happened." Caroline gave a look like she was thinking.

"You just told me your little sister that you thought died in the fire, is still alive. Tyler doesn't know that. Cora's still in town right?" I said nothing but nodded.

"Yeah, her and Derek are still living in the summer house my family owns. The place I use to live in." I answered.

"I might have to stage a reunion." Caroline mused and narrowed her eyes as she though. Caroline's phone went off, catching her attention.

"You already have a Hayley problem. Don't add my little sister into the mix." I warned Caroline.

I went to take another sip of my drink when I felt panic come from Caroline. I clenched my jaw and gave a hard stare to Caroline.

"I knew you were being way too nice to me. Your heart rate increased reading that text just now." I said in a low tone.

This grabbed Nik's attention who immediately looked at Caroline.

"Why are you really here, Caroline?" Nik snidely asked.

Caroline bit her lip before continuing, "I came here to distract you both so that Stefan could go to your house and break Elena out. Which he did, and don't get mad, but then he lost her." Nik stood up abruptly and almost knocked over the barstool.

He only took three steps, "Klaus." Caroline called and stood up as well.

Nik stopped and turned to Caroline with a glare, "Caroline, you are only alive right now because Allye views you as a close friend. If you start talking again, I will kill you." Nik threatened.

"They figured out how to stop the hallucinations." Caroline answered.

This got Nik's attention, "You have ten seconds to tell me."

"The next potential hunter needs to kill a vampire. The potential hunter is somebody that could see the tattoo." Nik and I shared a look.

"Jeremy. He saw Connor's tattoo." I said out loud.

Caroline nodded, "That's not all. Stefan doesn't want to turn an innocent person into a vampire for Jeremy to kill. He wants a Hybrid."

Nik took one step to Caroline. Anger radiated off of him, "Now why should I let another hunter kill another one of my hybrids?" He asked dangerously.

"Because the one that let Stefan get to Elena is secretly unsired to you and plans to skip town now." Nik stepped closer to Caroline and looked into her eyes.

"If you do not answer me this next question honestly. I will compel it out of you. Which one of my hybrid's attempted this plan of treason?" Nik demanded.

"Chris." Nik then turned his head to me.

"You're the Werewolf Politics expert. What's the punishment for a pack member committing treason against the Alpha?" Nik asked seriously.

"Death." I answered. Chris just signed his death warrant. Treason meant endangering the entire pack. The Alphas job is to protect the pack and at all cost.

Nik now looked back at Caroline, "Where are they?" He demanded again.

"At the Lockwood Mansion. Stefan is heading there now with Jeremy." Nik turned around and began to walk.

"Let's go, love." I said nothing and followed right behind Nik. Leaving Caroline at the bar alone.

Nik walked ahead of me and neared the front door of the Lockwood Mansion. Before Nik could open the door himself, it opened from the inside.

"Going somewhere?" Nik questioned as he walked into the house. I walked in after him to see Tyler, Hayley, and Chris with a bag over his shoulder.

Using his vampire speed, Nik grabbed Chris by his throat and held him up to the banister.

"When I said don't let her out of your sight, what did you think I meant?" Nik sneered through his teeth.

"It's not his fault, it's mine. I was distracting you. It's my fault she got away!" Tyler defended Chris.

"Then maybe you should be the one to die for it." Nik threatened.

"No one has to die!" Hayley yelled.

"You don't get a say in this pack!" I yelled back and stood in front of her. My eyes glowed red as I glared at Hayley.

"Chris committed treason against the pack. If you were actually part of a pack you would know that treason means death." I explained to Hayley.

"What?" Tyler exclaimed, looking at me with panic in his eyes.

"You think you're so tough because you're the Alpha? You're nothing but Klaus' little bitch." Hayley taunted.

A snarl escaped my mouth and shot my hand out. Hayley was too slow to grab my hand. I gripped my hand around her throat and let my claws dig into her skin. I began to squeeze and lifted her up until her feet barely reached the floor.

"I was not made or chosen to be an Alpha like your pathetic species. I was born an Alpha. A True Alpha. True Alpha's are much more powerful than your normal run of the mill Alpha. I will not be talked down to by an Omega. Do you know what happens to Omegas that challenge an Alpha and lose?" I paused and Hayley could not answer me. She made choking sounds and desperately grabbed at my wrist.

"Allye, stop!" Tyler yelled. He tried to walk to me but Nik stepped in his path.

"No answer? Then allow me to enlighten you. An Omega does not get to challenge an Alpha, lose and then walk away with their life. The Omega is killed by the Alpha so they don't return to challenge the Alpha again. So I'll ask you this now, Hayley. Are you challenging my rank as Alpha? Because if you are, you already lost this fight and your life. Now answer me because your life depends on it. Are you challenging me?" I asked with a dangerous tone in my voice.

"N-N-No." Hayley managed to say through my tight grip around her neck. I let go and dropped Hayley to the ground. Hayley began coughing and held her throat. Blood flowed through the puncture wounds my claws left.

I knelt down so I was level to her, "Let me be clear about this. You will do well not to stick your nose in pack matters again. Next time you won't get away with just a sore neck. Understand?" I growled the last sentence out.

Hayley said nothing but nodded her head. She was nothing more than an Omega with her tail between her legs now. Submitting to anything the Alpha said.

I stood up and looked at Chris who was breathing heavily and fear on his face. Nik looked back to Chris.

"You know what's coming next, mate." Nik said and his eyes glowed golden and dark veins appeared under his eyes.

Chris tried to make a run for the door. Stefan came through the door and staked Chris in his chest. Chris fell to the ground. Jeremy then came in with a hatchet.

"Jeremy?" Tyler said, confused. He then looked at Stefan, "What the hell, man?!"

"I'm sorry." Stefan apologized.

He looked at Jeremy and nodded to him. Jeremy threw the hatchet over his shoulder before bringing it back down and severed Chris' head.

Tyler looked in shock and Hayley screamed in anguish. Jeremy looked at his right hand and was fixated on it. Seeing something that we could not.

I wiped my mouth off with a towel after brushing my teeth. I turned my head to the right to look into the bedroom. Nik was sitting on the bed with the laptop from earlier on his lap.

We had gotten back from the Lockwood Mansion. Jeremy's mark grew and Stefan took him back home after that. Nik and I left without another word to Tyler or Hayley. I didn't miss the look Tyler gave me. He hated me now.

"You've been quiet since we got back." I spoke up and walked out of the bathroom.

"I'm just plotting on how to get my point across to Stefan. He clearly didn't understand when I said no one else was supposed to know of the cure. He blabbed it out to his brother and teenagers." Nik said with venom in his tone.

"Speaking of that, did you find Rebekah?" I asked as I walked over to my side of the bed.

"Her coffin is gone. Someone hid her and I highly doubt it was Connor. Not many people know about the coffins." He looked up at me as I got into bed, "My guess is Stefan." He said with a tight lip smile.

"Sounds like he's holding her as a bargaining chip." I stated and got under the comforter and sheets.

"More than likely." Nik said and turned his attention back to the laptop.

"What are you looking at that is so interesting?" I jokingly said and leaned over to look at the screen. The screen on the laptop showed the forum page.

"The forum page?" I asked, confused.

"I saw your update and your source intrigued me. I'm browsing any forums involving Silas." Nik answered.

That brought me back to Professor Shane. That guy had a definite creep vibe. He also knew more than he was letting on.

"My source is a total creep." I gave an off hand comment. Nik raised an eyebrow at me.

"How so?" He asked.

I looked at the corner of my eye as I thought about what to say. "Honestly, just talking to him. He knows more than he's letting on. He's also huge into occult studies. Enough so that he already knew who I was when I introduced myself." Nik frowned at that.

"That is odd. How did he know you?" Nik asked, and closed the laptop. Completely focused on me now.

"All he mentioned was that the Hale bloodline is practically royalty among werewolves. He knew the first records of my ancestors started in the 5th Century. He didn't give any other information of how he knew me. Total creep." I summarized.

"It's often the creepy ones that have all the answers." Nik stated. I'd have to agree with that.

I nodded my head and yawned as I stretched. "Well I'm going to sleep. You have fun looking more into Silas." I tiredly said.

I leaned over and turned off the lamp on the nightstand. I shifted down the bed and laid my head on my pillow. I heard the sound of something being set down. The light on Nik's side also went out.

I then felt the bed shift and an arm snaking around my waist. I got pulled into Nik's bare chest and our legs intertwined under the sheets. I felt Nik kiss the top of my head, "Goodnight, love." He softly said.

I smiled and leaned against him more, "Night." I answered and closed my eyes as I listened to Nik's heart beat.

Well, she did it. Allye got Callista's attention with the help from Shane. We find out a bit more about Callista. She was in the same predicament as Allye and Klaus. One mate being immortal and the other mortal. Allye finally puts Hayley in her place. Reminding her she has no role in the pack of Hybrids that she was seemed to insert herself in. As you guys can tell Hayley and Allye do not get along and won't for the seeable future to come.
