No Love Lost, Only Love Gained
Following the Killer Cheerleader Sleepover events, Dawn has been scrambling over what she thinks of Odd. She asked around, and she heard a thing or two about Odd. If Dawn had spoken to Allison, she would have told her best friend to talk to Odd. However, she didn't, so she is taken it out on Odd. Odd has taken a liken to Dawn, but now, he has started to get annoyed. Meanwhile, Jeremy and Aelita are testing some codes for the Sector Five virtualization process at the Factory. Yumi and Ulrich are arm wrestling while Brock is doing homework. Allison and ash tried out new features on Allison's phone when Allison decides to record Odd and Dawn's ridiculous argument. After leaving the Factory, Dawn and Odd are still at it. "Enough!" Allison said. "Look, I don't know nor care what is this fucking shit is all about. How about you two go on a date." "You must have lost your mind! No way!" Dawn said. "I agree with the blueberry! No!" Odd said. "Okay, you leave me no choice," Allison said. Allison pulls out her phone and shows everyone the video.
Odd, you are the scrawniest player that I have ever met! How rude! You wouldn't know a good guy if he was standing right next to you! Please! I'll bet you can't go on one simple romantic date in the park even if the president pays you. I'll do it for free with you! I'll like to see you try! Bring it on! I'll prove, and your crazy accusations wrong all the way! And I won't be the overbearing bitch like all the other girls in this hell hole of a school!
Odd and Dawn were blown away. "That doesn't prove anything!" Odd said. "That proves that you both agreed to go on a date to settle this feud that nobody knows how it started," Yumi said. "Well, I still don't want to be added to Odd's list," Dawn said. "Then don't say it's a date," Aelita said. Dawn and odd look puzzled. "It could be like a trial run. Just to prove each other wrong. This is not a romantic outing, so Odd cannot say he went out with Dawn." Allison said. Odd and Dawn have their backs facing each other with their arms folded. "Come on. Maybe this could ease the tension." Ulrich said. Dawn and Odd reluctantly agree. Later that night, Dawn glares at Allison. "Dawn, I thought you had a soft spot for Odd." "I do. I don't. I am weirded out on his track record." "Did you talk to him?" Dawn looks at Allison. "So, no!" "Look, don't you have something to do?" "I do; tomorrow, Ash and I are going to find more information on my family photos and Aelita." "Great. Did you tell your brother?" "I did. He asked around. Everyone thinks Odd and Aelita are cousins, which is not true. Also, Franz Hopper's real name is Waldo Shaeffer." "I remember your mother telling you and your siblings that. And how your uncles called him 'Walnut' when your mom was in high school." "Yep. Now, I need one more piece of information." "And, I need to not puke because of my non-date!" Dawn lays back and sighs.
The next day, Odd waits for Dawn in the park with a basket. "Odd, this is for the sake of the group. Act, well, not like you, and the feud can be over," Ulrich said. "You know, Good Buddy, if I came up with this plan for you and Yumi, would you do it?" Odd asks. "No!" "Then why me?" "Well, why are you doing it?" Odd blinks and spots Dawn. "Look, she is coming, go!" "Okay, Good Buddy! Have fun!" "Have fun! Yeah, fucking right!" Dawn walks over to Odd. "What is with the basket?" "Aelita gave it to me. She and Jeremy went on a picnic last year when Aelita started Kadic." "How cute! Jeremy and Aelita talking about school and Lyoko with Jeremy acting shy." "Yeah, nerd love!" Dawn laughs as Odd smiles, and his heart pounds. "Let's go!" Odd said. Meanwhile, Allison and Ash are about to look into her possible connection to Aelita when Jim orders everyone to leave the dorms. "There is a possible mouse infestation, and the building is getting sprayed, and-" all of the students started to scream. "Well, want to go to the park? Aelita and Jeremy might be at the Factory and going there for no reason might send the wrong message," Ash said. "Sure, maybe we can find another idea later," Allison said. At the park, Odd lays out an orange blanket on the grass. " Orange is one of my favorite colors," Dawn said. "I know," Odd said. Dawn takes a peek at the basket. There are watermelon slices, a bottle of sparkle juice, two plastic glasses, sandwiches, and a small cheesecake. Odd is trying to kiss up. This won't work. Dawn thought. "Also, take off your shoes," Odd said. "What! I heard some things," Dawn said. "I am wearing new black socks. Also, I have no idea what you are talking about. "Okay? Why the shoes?" "To get comfortable." Dawn obliges. The pair ate, and talk, and laugh. Then Odd sees Allison and Ash nearby. "Look who it is? The field mice!" Dawn gives a dull smile. Ash twirls Allison around and kisses her. Then he puts a flower in her hair and swings her around. Allison taps his nose and kisses it. Then she tags him, and Ash chases her. Odd smiles but looks to see Dawn looking sad. A tear rolls down Dawn's cheek as she eats a slice of watermelon. "Dawn?" Dawn looks up. "Yes," What is it?" "Are you okay?" "Yeah. Just pass me another sandwich," Dawn said. Dawn couldn't even take a bite. "I saw the way you looked at Ash and Allison," Odd starts. "Odd, fuck off!" Dawn said. Odd tickles one of Dawn's toes to snap her out of it. "Hey!" Dawn said. "Oh, does that tickle?" "Yes!" "I'm sorry!" Odd tickles her toes again."Stop!" Dawn said. Odd laughs as he pins Dawn down. Dawn laughs as her heart starts to pound. "Get off!" "Not until you tell me what is wrong," Odd said as she starts to wiggle his fingers. "Fine!" They get up. "Well, I am a little jealous of Allison and Ash's relationship," Dawn starts. "Go on," Odd said. "Well, they went through some trials thanks to Ash's rival. Even with all of that, they are better than ever. It's not fair that I don't have that!" Odd looks worried. "Wait! This makes me a bad friend. There is way more to what I am saying." "I'm not judging! I feel the same way with my friends. I know that they are in 'situation-ships' I want what they have with someone." "Exactly! Especially since I got dumped by my boyfriend before school started." Odd looks at Dawn. "What?" "Yeah, which only adds to my feelings." "Can you explain?" Dawn explains everything. "That's why you didn't see Aelita. Well, I'm sorry. Your ex is an ass!" "Odd!" "He is. If you two were friends for years, he should have treated you right. You're smart, cute, a good friend, and deserve respect." Dawn blushes. "Thanks." "Also, at least talk to you in person. You said that you saw him before, right?" "Right." "Exactly. At least talk to you. I wouldn't do that to a girl. I would at least talk to her. However, I wouldn't-" Odd stops himself. "I mean, he didn't even want to go to the end-of-year dance. And he was having all of these doubts," Dawn starts. Odd holds her hands and their hearts start to beat in unison. "Look, if Kenny can't see what a girl you are, then let him go." Dawn can't believe what she heard. The next thing she knows, Odd kisses her, and she kisses him back.
Meanwhile, Jeremy calls everyone to the factory. "XANA is attacking the Core of Lyoko." "Great, we can handle it while the odd couple enjoys their non-date," Ulrich said. "I know. Plus, this week alone, XANA attacked the core three times, and it has always been Odd and Dawn to deal with it. No wonder they were getting on each other's nerves," Brock said. At the moment, XANA activates a tower. Back at the park, Dawn and Odd continue to kiss. Am I on the rebound or something? Why do I feel this way about Odd? I have never connected this way with anyone before. Do I feel sorry for Dawn, or do I like her? A few minutes later, a ranger walks up to the pair and coughs. Dawn and Odd look up and gasps for air. When Dawn gets up, the ranger pushes her down. "Hey!" Odd shouts. Dawn looks up and sees the eye of XANA in the ranger's eyes. "XANA!" Dawn said. The pair tries to run, but the ranger shocks them out cold and drags them into the garden shed. A few moments later, Jeremy decides to call the "lovers." "I'll call them. Maybe they survive the date," Aelita said. Everyone gets a text message. "I don't think they are going to answer," Yumi said. She reads the message.
I have your friends in the park. I tried this before; the stakes are higher now! If you want to see them alive, you know what to do.

"Kisses, XANA. What the fuck is this, Pretty Little Liars?" Allison asks. "What does that mean? You know what to do?" Brock asks. "I have to delete the Mountian Sector; that is where the tower is activated," Aelita said. "You can't. Maybe I can find Dawn and Odd," Ash said. "You will need help. I'm in," Brock said. "Yumi and I can go to the Core. The Core needs protection," Ulrich said. "Allison, are you able to protect Aelita by yourself?" Jeremy asks. "Yes!" Allison said. So Jeremy sends the four to Lyoko and Yumi, and Ulrich got the edge of the Sector and took the transporter to Sector Five. Allison flies, and Aelita takes the Overboard down the path. Meanwhile, Ash and Brock look for Odd and Dawn. Dawn wakes up to find Odd looking for a way out. "He jammed the door. Maybe the windows," Odd said. Dawn tries the window, but there is a supercharge. "Great. We're trapped!" Dawn said. Odd approaches Dawn. "What is your problem with me?" "Problem?" "Yeah. Why did you go from being my friend to wanted to burn me at stake?" "Okay, maybe I heard about your dating life and how you dated two girls at the same time. Allison was right; I should have talked to you." "You should have. Look, I was young and stupid (a few months ago but whatever). I was wrong about it. Were they still mad?" "Yeah." "Whatever!" "I'm sorry." "Me too!" The ranger comes back and attacks the duo. Dawn grabs a shovel and hits the ranger. When the ranger grabs the shovel, Odd uses a power drill to attack him. On Lyoko, XANA has sent flying Mantas. They block the path. Allison scans the area until she sees a way to clear the path. "Aelita, when I say so, run!" "Okay?" Aelita said. "You sound like my mother. My father loves to come up with crazy ideas that work, and she always has hesitation." "Really? I wonder if I get that from my mother, Anthea." Allison is stuck on that, and she takes that in. Allison's ability is Manipulation. She can manipulate the environment. Allison uses her hands to change the Mountian sector's landscape and add more fog to confuse the Mantas. She also makes the ground smooth so Aelita can slide straight to the activated tower. However, XANA has stepped up its game by sending more monsters to the Core and making the ranger more powerful since it is clear that Aelita is not going to the Way Tower. Dawn spots a safe window to open, so she gets on Odd's shoulders to open it when the ranger wakes up mad as hell. Two more rangers attack Ash and Brock while on Lyoko; Allison's plan was working until The Scyphozoa arrives. It corners Aelita at the tower, but Allisons makes two plasma balls and hits it. So Aelita heads for the tower. Yumi and Ulrich manage to save the Core, and Ash and Brock tied up the two rangers. At the shed, however, the ranger grabs Odd and Dawn and starts to shock them but falls. Odd gets a phone call from Jeremy. "Hey, Einstein... a return to the past... I have to do this date all over again..." "Hey!" Dawn said, "Fine." Odd hangs up. "Well, the media got a hold of a video of the ranger taking us hostage." "So not what?" Odd just grabs Dawn's face and kisses her while the return to the past happens.
Later at school, everyone wants to know what happened on "Parks and Recreations." No, they want to know about the "Trial Date." "Tell them," Odd said. So Dawn tells everyone about her break-up and how she has been feeling. "I'm sorry!" Allison said. "No. You have been a great friend. I am the heartbreak kid," Dawn said. "And I am a jerk. You were going through a break-up, and I was-" Aelita starts. "It's okay! Please. I am okay," Dawn said. "I am curious, what was his reason?" Ulrich asks. "He said that he is going to school in Siberia and can't handle a long-distance relationship." "That is the oldest excuse in the book," Jeremy said. "What do you mean?" Dawn asks. "It means that Kenny is an asshole, and you should forget about him!" Yumi said. After eating, Dawn pulls Allison aside. "More happened." "I knew it. Spill," Allison said. Dawn and Odd swore to never talk about the kiss. "I'll tell you later. Did you find anything?" "I did. Aelita's mother's name is Anthea." "Anthea?" "Yep and Aelita have a picture of her mom, and it looks like the ones in my photo album." "So Aelita is-" "My first cousin!" Allison said.
Whoa! So Dawn and Odd kissed! At least before the RTTP. After, they did, and one of Odd's recent ex-girlfriends witnesses it. However, Aelita is Allison and Ash J's cousin! Whoa, how will she react? How will their friends react? Only time will tell! Only time will tell, especially since Aelita is feeling lost since recovering her memory.
