Poppy and her friends emerged from NightStar's backpack and greeted Nikita with a hug. She gave them an equally big hug and NightStar joined in. Nikita was really happy to see her favorite group of trolls, so she gave them all the biggest hugs she could ever offer. Not only that, but all the trolls from the different tribes came as well. NightStar was able to convince them to leave their homes to save themselves.
"Poppy! I'm so happy to see you!" She said. "We're happy to see you too!" Poppy said. "Wow! You two did a really great job building this huge ship." Branch said. "Well, I couldn't have done it without NightStar's help." Nikita said. "Oh, it was nothing really." NightStar said.
Nikita and NightStar helped the rest of the passengers get onto the ark as the storm got closer. Soon it started to rain heavily and the land was slowly becoming flooded. It has begun: the geostorm is here. The remaining passengers quickly ran onto the boat as fast as possible. Everyone was pushing each other out of the way, hoping to get on the ark without getting completely wet. Nikita ran towards the stairs to help anyone she could find.
"Hey! Settle down! There's enough room for everyone on the S.S. Onward!" She shouted.
Suddenly, Nikita was pushed by some desperate fool and landed on someone else. That person got up and reached out his hand to help her.
"Oh god! I'm so sorry about this." Nikita said. "Well, I didn't think you're the clumsy type." The person said.
Nikita looked up and saw Kaldur'ahm a.k.a Aqualad staring back at her. She grabbed his hand and got up. Nikita blushed as soon as they were both face to face with each other. She's always had feelings for Aqualad, but she never told him how she felt. Nikita even wondered if Kaldur had any feelings for her at all. Aqualad has always thought of Nikita as a close friend or even a sister, but she wanted to tell him that she loved him.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to push you down. These passengers, right?" Nikita said, still blushing. "That's alright, people get riled up when disaster strikes." Aqualad said. "Yeah. Well I...I guess I'll go check to see if there's any remaining stragglers." Nikita said. "Good luck, then. I gotta go check on my team." Aqualad said. "See you soon."
As Aqualad boards the ark, NightStar joins up with Nikita. She noticed her best friend gazing at the young superhero.
"Kaldur'ahm is kinda cute, isn't he?" She asked. "You must really like him a lot."
Nikita regained her senses and nudged NightStar with great embarrassment.
"What? No! I don't like him like that. He and I are just friends, really close friends." She said, embarrassed. "Really? Cause you always blush and stutter every time you get close to him. You can't even have a normal conversation with him." NightStar said.
"Oh yeah? Well you act like that towards Darnell too." Nikita said, smirking. "Nikki! Shush! Prince D and I are just friends. Besides, He's Quincy's and Essence's son and Cooper's twin brother. He's a prince and totally out of my league." NightStar said.
"But you're a princess and I think you'd make a cute couple." Nikita said. "So would you and Kaldur." NightStar said. "Aww...thanks." Nikita said. "Don't mention it." NightStar.
As the last of the passengers board the ark, the two girls get ready to board as well. Nikita and NightStar watched as the Snack Pack guided all the troll tribes onto the ark. Poppy and Branch were all the way behind guiding any stragglers that might need help. Nikita and NightStar approached the two trolls.
"How's everything going, Poppy?" Nikita said. "We're doing great!" Poppy said. "Yup! Soon we'll have everyone onboard." Branch said. "Hey! Where's Cooper?" NightStar wondered. "He said he was going to wait for his family." Poppy said.
NightStar looked up and saw Cooper's family at the top of the ship. She didn't see Cooper anywhere near them.
"He's not with any of the other Funk Trolls." She said, worryingly. "Where is he?!"
Nikita went to comfort her worried friend. She knew how much Cooper meant to her.
"I'll go find him, don't worry." She said. "I'm going too." NightStar said.
The two friends left the ship to search for their Funk Troll friend. They hoped that he hadn't gone too far. Cooper knew about the evacuation, so he should be close by. Nikita and NightStar looked high and low, but Cooper was nowhere in sight.
"He's not anywhere!" NightStar said worryingly. "Now I know how his parents felt when they lost him." Nikita said.
The rain poured harder and the water was rising quicker than ever.
"We can't give up! We need to search harder." Nikita said.
Suddenly, they heard laughter nearby. NightStar beamed with glee. Nikita also smiled with hope.
"I recognize that laughter." She said. "Me too." Nikita said. "It's Cooper!" They shouted in unison.
They ran towards the source of the laughter. They stopped to find Cooper playing in the rain. He was swimming in the rising water without any concern for his safety at all.
"Cooper!" The girls shouted. "Hey, guys! Look at all this water." Cooper said. "You're supposed to be on the ark. The geostorm is here!" Nikita said. "Oh! I forgot. I'm sorry, I was having so much fun that I wasn't thinking straight." Cooper said sadly. "That's ok, Cooper. I'm just glad you're safe." NightStar said.
The skies turned completely dark and thunderstorms started to roar loudly.
"We better hurry back to the ship before they take off without us." Nikita said. "Yeah, the sooner the better." NightStar said. "I'm with you guys." Cooper said.
The young Funk Troll jumped onto NightStar's back as she held onto Nikita. The young sea monster transformed into her aquatic form as she carries them all back towards the S.S. Onward. Nikita swam as fast as she could, but the extra weight was slowing her down.
"I...I can't swim fast enough!" She said exhausted. "Maybe I can help with that." NightStar said.
She casts a spell on herself, causing purplish, dark blue wings to grow from her back.
"Now we can get there faster." NightStar said.
The three friends quickly made their way towards the ark much faster than before. They were able to get to the ship on time as it was starting to move from all that water. Everyone onboard could hear the rain pouring hard and felt the ark moving with the water. They were afraid that they might go overboard and that the S.S. Onward would not hold together for the geostorm. Nikita and her two friends raced back to the ark as quick as possible before the ship could leave without them.
