Jeremy's Coma: Kiss from a Rose
Aelita rushes through the schoolyard and heads for the main entrance when Mr. Delmas and Jim stop her. "Ms. Stones, where are you going?" Mr. Delmas asks. "Jeremy!" Aelita exclaims. "Ms. Stones, you have class!" "But, I have to get to Jeremy!" Aelita exclaims. She tries to leave, but Jim blocks her. "Aelita! Don't you hear Mr. Delmas!" Jim shouts. At the same time, Allison walks by and sees the commotion. "Ms. Stones, you have about thirty seconds until-" Jim shouts as Allison runs up. "Whoa! Hold on," Allison said. "Allison, you too?" Mr. Delmas asks. "Look. Jeremy is special to Aelita, and you know how love can make you do crazy things." "I understand, but Aelita needs to go to class!" Jim shouts. "Let me see. If Aelita calms down and goes to class, she is allowed to visit Jeremy at the hospital," Mr. Delmas said. Aelita nods. "Thanks, you, and I'm sorry." "Good. Now got to class." Allison drags Aelita to class. Throughout the day, Aelita thinks about Jeremy. "It has only been a day, and I'm losing it!" Aelita says to herself. "Aelita, do you have something to say?" the history teacher asks. "Lonely that her other half is gone!" Sissi teases. Aelita growls. "What's wrong? Can't take without Einstien, Mrs. Einstien?" Sissi teases. Aelita jumps out of her chair. "The hell with you and your hellish attitude!" "You wanna talk attitude, bitch!" Sissi answers back. Dawn intervenes. "Hey, teacher!" Aelita and Sissi look at the history teacher. "Sorry, sir," the girls said. "I am giving you both a pass due to the situation at hand. Also, Ms. Delmas!" Sissi gulps. "We all know that Jeremy is going through a medical crisis. So bringing it up like that is wrong." "Sorry, sir," Sissi said. Odd flips the pages in his textbook. "Yeah, a medical crisis caused by XANA."
During a free period, the gang meets up. "Allison, you found Jeremy. What the fuck happened again?" Yumi asks. "I told you. I went early in the morning, around 5:30, to Jeremy's room to get my math book. When I entered his room, I found him slumped on his bed, pale, and with a slow breathe," Allison said. "And the mole was gone, right?" Ulrich asks. "What mole?" Ash asks. "Jeremy had this growing mole on his right hand," Allison said. "I know that Jeremy had gotten hit during a XANA attack, but he thought it was a bruise," Brock said. "It was not. I had a feeling it was more than a mole," Allison said. "Then, when Jim arrived, you said there was a message that was from XANA," Ash said. "Yeah, it said Sabotage is the Key to Success. Then the Eye of XANA flashes on the screen," Allison said. Aelita sighs. "I checked the Supercomputer, and I noticed that there was XANA-related activity. So I think that XANA activated a tower to finish off Jeremy then deactivated." "Well, what do we do now?" Yumi asks. "We have to keep fighting XANA. There is only the mountain Sector left, and now that we have one less Warrior at hand, XANA will take advantage of that," Aelita said. "Yeah, we have to put our feelings aside and keep going. XANA is known for playing on our feelings. Remember the 'kissing episode?'" Yumi mentioned. "Okay, so for now, we need to keep vigilantly at all times and-" Ulrich starts, but Allison cuts him off. "First, I am going to take Aelita to visit Jeremy. Does any else want to come?" "I will," Ash said. "Good. Everyone else can keep watch. If anything, you can call, and we'll be right over," Allison said. "Okay," Dawn said. "I have a question that is unrelated to this," Ulrich said. "Yes?" Allison asks. "About that double date?" "Right. According to my brother, Mother Nature visited Moxie. So she wanted to reschedule for this week." "What? Mother Nature? Odd asks. "Yes. You know, we can say it. Moxie had her period, numskull," Dawn said. "Oh, why do girls speak in code. No wonder I am still single." "No, that's not it," Brock teases. Everyone laughs.
Later that day, Aelita, Allison. and Ash went to the hospital to see Jeremy. "Sure. Just be quiet," the nurse said. They enter his room, and Aelita hugs him. "Jeremy! Please wake up." "Is this how I looked when Team Galatic-" Allison started. "Yeah. But seeing Aelita so heartbroken is so sad," Ash said. "They have been through a lot. They're like Plusle and Mimun." "At the same time, they kind of remind me of us." Allison looks at Ash. "Us?" "Yeah, in a nerd love type of way." Allison smiles. Meanwhile, Brock tries to access Jeremy's computer. "I wonder if there is something we can do?" "I don't think so. I don't understand how Jeremy figures this out, but we have to do as Aelita says," Ulrich said. Odd and Dawn arrive with drinks from Starlight Coins. "Come on; we have to wait and see. Jeremy's coma may be a XANA doing, but there is not an activated tower to deal with. So, let's chill and wait," Odd said. Yumi enters and flops herself on Brock's bed. "I can't take it. I wish we could do something!" Yumi said. Dawn hands Yumi a Miracle Latte with extra hazelnut syrup. "Yumi, this is something that is out of our control. However, we can focus on what we can control, like dealing with XANA attacks." Yumi sits up. "I mean sure but will it- holy fuck! Where did you get this? The Latte is fucking good." "See, I told you that it will work," Dawn says to Odd. Meanwhile, the nurse tells the trio that it is time to leave the hospital. "Wait, can I have a minute, please?" Aelita asks. "Sure," the nurse said. "We'll leave you alone," Allison said. "We will?" Ash asks. Allison nods, and they leave. Aelita kisses Jeremy on the forehead. "Please wake up. I miss you." Aelita places Mr. Puck in Jeremy's hand and leaves. Once outside, Aelita sighs. "Does love hurt?" "Yes!" Ash said. They all laugh until they hear growling. They turn around and see two Furfou. "What are those?" Aelita asks. "Furfous," Allison asks. "Fur fucks?" "No. Furfou! Listen," Ash takes out his phone and scans Furfou. Furfrou, the Poodle Pokémon. Furfrou was assigned the task of protecting kings who ruled the Kalos region in ancient times. "I see. What's it doing here?" Aelita asks. The heart trims Furfou Tackles Aelita. "Ouch!" Allison goes to help her, and the normal Furfou Tackles her and hits a pole. "Ouch!" Ash goes to help them when both Furfous attack him with Bite, but he uses a stick to block them. "Why did they attack us? Are we in their territory?" Aelita asks. At that moment, the heart trim Furfou starts to pixel. "XANA!" Ash shouts as he is pushed back. The normal Furfou tries to enter the hospital, but Ash pushes it to the ground. "Aelita, we need to go to the Factory," Allison said. "Right! I'll call the others on the way," Aelita said. "I'll stay. Send help if you can. I think the goal is to attack Jeremy!" Ash exclaims.
On the way, Aelita calls Odd. "Odd! Where are you and the others?" "In Jeremy's room. Why?" "Can you check for the activated Tower?" "Tower? What Tower?" Odd asks. At that moment, the alert goes off. "The Tower is south by southeast," Brock said. "Great because we are being attacked by-" Aelita stops to scream. A diamond Furfou attacks them, but Allison throws a stone at it. "Sorry. Furfous. What was that one?" "A diamond trim Furfou," Allison said. "That makes three." "Three Furfous!" Odd exclaims. "We need to head for Lyoko," Ulrich said. "Wait! Ash needs help. We think at least one will try to attack Jeremy!" Allison exclaims. "Okay, I'll help him," Yumi said. "Okay, then Brock, do you think you can manage the lab?" Ulrich asks. "What me?" Brock exclaims. "Yeah, you were trying to figure out Jeremy's computer anyway," Dawn said. "But, I can't!" "Brock," Aelita shouts from the phone. "Do you see a black binder? that has everything you'll need." Brock sees it. "Okay. I can read it but, I'll try!" "I know that you can send us safely to the Mountian Sector," Allison said through the phone. "How did you know that was the Sector?" Odd asks. "It's the only one that's fucking left!" "Oh," Odd said. "Good. So-" Before Ulrich finishes, XANA attacks the core! "No fucking way!" Dawn shouts. "Nevermind. Odd, and I can take care of the Core. Dawn can head for the Tower until Allison and Aelita can get there while Yumi helps Ash," Ulrich said. "I like it when you take charge," Yumi said with a smile. Ulrich blushes. "Okay, let's move!" Odd said. At the hospital, Ash battles the heart trim and normal Furfous. He doesn't see the diamond trim Furfou, and it tries to walk through the door, but Yumi throughs a rock at hit. "Hey, I thought you would want a moving target!" It growls. In the lab, Brock manages to send Odd, Ulrich, and Dawn to the Mountian Sector. "Okay, so far, I brought in the Overbike and Overboard," Brock said. "What about the Overwing?" Odd asks. "When Aelita and Allison arrive, they will need it," Dawn said. "And I can see the tower," Dawn said. "Well, enjoy the bike," Odd said. "Fuck no, I am not riding with your driving," Ulrich said. "You, Mr. Speeding and my bike, my rules. No fucking way!" Odd said. When Odd looks, Dawn leaves with the Overboard. "Well, enjoy the ride," Ulrich said. Odd whined. At the moment, Allison and Aelita made it to the elevator and were out of breath. "We made it. We had to deal with a diamond trim Furfou for a while. But I think we saw Yumi?" Allison asks. "Yep. Yumi went to help Ash," Brock said."Plus, I was able to bring the Overwing." "Where did XANA find these wild Furfou?" Aelita asks. "I think they are someone's Pokemon. Well, at least the heart and diamond trims." "My head hurts." "Well, does fighting XANA help?" "Yeah!" Aelita exclaims. On edge, Ulrich and Odd call out to Brock. "We're here!" "Okay, enter the code," Brock said. He did, and they're off. Now, Brock brought Aelita and Allison to Lyoko. When they got there: "Watch out for Krabs!" Dawn shouts. Four Krabs were by the tower. In Sector Five, the hard part was the Core. Twelve Creepers and Ten Mantas. "XANA is testing us," Odd said. "Well, if we can survive Ms. Hertz's exams, this is nothing," Ulrich said. "Agree! Attack!" Odd said. Dawn talks to the girls. "We need a plan. There are four Krabs and three of us." "True, but remember, Jeremy's life is at stake, and XANA knows it. We have to play our cards right," Allison said. "If the both of you can distract the Krabs, I can sneak to the tower. "What about the King of the Jellyfish?" Dawn asks. "Pray it has the night off." "Okay," Allison said. Dawn and Allison charge at the Krabs. "Catch us, losers," Allison shouts. "We like our crawfish with some spunk!" Dawn shouts. The Krabs chase them as Aelita waits until she has a chance. At the hospital, the heart trim Furfou manages to enter the hospital. Ash runs after it. The normal Furfou runs after him, but Yumi hits it. "Come play with us." Yumi manages two Furfou. The heart trim Furfou manages to reach Jeremy's room, but Ash throws some food on its head. The food soils the fur, but the Furfou growls. "Wow! XANA Furfou doesn't mind getting dirty," Ash said as he gulped. He looks around and sees something else. "Stun Spur Powder: to help patients relax in extreme measures. Works for me." Ash throws the powder, and it causes the Furfou to stand down. He runs. Yumi manages to find berries and makes a stuck patch for the normal and diamond Furfou. At the Core, Odd and Ulrich manage to defeat six monsters. Ulrich decides to jump on one Manta and ride it. "Bird's eye view of the Creepers!" Ulrich manages to jump and git two Creepers. Odd crawls around a Creeper and hits one while hitting a Manta. However, the first shield blew. "Shit! The first shield blow!" Odd said. "It's okay. You two are making great progress," Brock said. At the moment, the Creepers and Mantas combined to make a Back to the Mountian Sector, Dawn and Allison each defeat a Krab. Aelita decides to run. She runs towards the tower but fog. Fog! "The fog, I have to cover," Aelita said. When she does, she meets the Sypchozoa. She creates a cave for herself to hide in. Allison and Dawn can't see but are getting hit. "What happened?" Brock asks. "Fog. Where's Aelita?" Dawn asks. "She made a cover for herself because of the King of the Jellyfish." "Fuck! Let's hope on Earth; things are going better!"
When Ash reaches the stairs, the heart trim Furfou manages to follow him from another staircase, so they have to go up to the roof. On the roof, Ash tries to run back to the staircase, but he is bitten. "Fuck! Ouch!" The heart trim Furfou drags him, but Ash manages to grab it. They are near the edge of the roof. On the ground, the normal and diamond trim Furfous use Sand Attack. Yumi gets get, and the sand makes it easier to break free from the sticky patch. "I wish I brought Hipmontop. It is strong against Furfou. Yumi tries to run, but the Diamond Furfou knows Charge Beam, and Yumi gets shocked. She comes to and uses two sticks to block the Furfous from biting her arms. On Mountian Sector, Aelita is still in her cave. The Sypchozoa is using its tentacles to crack the cave. Allison flies over to help, but the Krab blocks her. Dawn goes under to hit the Krab, but it attacks her from the bottom, and Allison pushes her out the way. "We need a part 2 for the plan. We can barely see!" Allison said. "Manipulation!" Dawn said. She whispers a plan to Allison. "Good idea!" "Allison, Dawn, what are you doing?" Brock asks. "No need to worry!" Allison said. "That's when I worry the most!" At the Core, Ulrich and Odd deal with Giant Creeper and Giant Manta. "Okay, what's your plan?" Odd asks. "Hope they attack each other?" Ulrich exclaims. "Yes. Follow me!" Odd said. Brock gulps as he hears growling. "A star trim Furfou! No fucking way!" It attacks Brock and pushes him off the chair. Dawn triples herself, and she lets the fog do its thing. One copy goes to Aelita, breaks it out, and switches places with her while the other two deal with the krabs. Allison takes control of the fog and manipulates it for her liking. "Now!" She shouts. The fog is gone, and the Sypchozoa breaks the cave but sees Dawn's copy, which disappears as she cuts the arms of the jellyfish off. Dawn fuses her other copy, and She and Allison defeat the Krabs. At the Core, Odd jumps on the Manta while Ulrich taunts the Creeper. The monsters were trying to hit their Warriors, but at the last minute, Odd jumps down, and he grabs on to an edge as Ulrich Super Sprints away, and the monsters hit each other and lose all of their life points. "Yes! Brock, do we need to help the ladies? Brock?" Odd calls out. Brock is trying to tame a star-trim Furfou. Aelita reaches the tower and enters it. At the moment, Yumi is pinned to the ground, and the Furfuos start to drool over her and start to open their mouths with their sharp teeth. Ash's head is over the roof's edge as the heart-trim Furfou tries to bite him. Aelita reaches the top and enters Code: Lyoko, and all of the Pokemon stop and freak out. They are all dirty and run home. Ash rolls to his side and sighs. Yumi calls him. "Are you okay?" "Yeah. If we can survive tree root," Ash teases. Yumi laughs. At the lab, Brock is knocked out. "We might have to bring ourselves in," Aelita said. They all did, and they saw Yumi waking up Brock. "Brock, are you okay?" "At the last minute, it used Charm," Brock said. "Still a sucker for a pretty face," Ash teases. "Funny, did anyone see you at the hospital?" "Nope. So no RTTP." "Are you sure? It can-" Odd starts, but Aelita cuts him off. "No. That won't work. We have to wait it out." "Then we need someone to stand guard. Jeremy will attack Jeremy again," Dawn said. "I can tomorrow. I have a trip, then a free day," Yumi said. "Good. Let's go to bed," Ulrich said. "Wait. We have time for ice cream. We have to thank Brock for holding down the fort!" Allison said. "No," Brock said while blushing. "Yeah!" Aelita said.
At Pail Dove, they all sang Brock's praises. Aelita sits by the window and thinks about Jeremy. "If he wasn't in a fucking coma, we won't be here." Odd walks up to Aelita and hands her a Lunar Wing. "Where did you get this?" "It was on my pillow at my home. It keeps away nightmares. I figure you can use it." Aelita smiles, and she hugs Odd. Soo, they all hug her as well.
What a day! First, Jeremy's in a coma! Second, everyone proves their worth. The problem is XANA. It will step it up as well. Let's see what happens to our heroes. Let's hope Jeremy wakes up soon.
