"So could you explain the whole ice breath thing and the shouting because that isn't normal," she asks curiously, I think on how to explain the thuum without revealing too much
"It's vocal magic from an ancient dialect they use words to channel their magic and that's it there's not too much to it and that's what your questioning, not the fact you came back from the dead and started fighting aliens" I reply politely there's a silence, that follows the end of my sentence it carries on for a few seconds.
"Good points but I am talking to a vampire assassin so it's better to just take it in stride," Bee said with the uncertainty in her voice "I suppose you have point there," I say to her.
I yawn and I hear bee and cataclysm gasp in shock cat looks at me with shock in one eye
"Wait shouldn't you be going to sleep right now I mean I can hold off on the driving lessons if you're tired," she says to me in an inquisitive tone I raise a spiked eyebrow at her widely caring tone and her comment I just shake my head at her request she nods but scans me
"Hmm I guess your brainwaves are normal at the moment and why are you so confused about people being worried about you had friends right" I glare at her for a second
"Only the ones I kept at arm's length and that's all you get about my relationships until I decided I can trust you" I retort quickly with some anger leaking through I sigh and rest my hands on the sides of the chair I sigh
"How long until we get there," I ask cat but static comes over the comes and I hear ghost
"We're heading back to the old skywatch in the cosmodrome the fallen have been guarding something there the speaker is asking guardians to look into it," ghost says, we land on the ground we start to walk up to our destination as we walk there a few Guardians on patrol and strange plants that look like metal we continue I look at our destination
"Stop for a second I want to get us hooked up so we can get our sparrows so we can go places faster" I hear cat say to us, we walk up to an old building with no doors and two open sides and there's a machine.
Cat appears next to me and floats up to the machine and starts working on something
"Hmm should be pretty easy to link up with it ghost I don't think I'll be able to link both our Guardians up so you'll have to do bee but that shouldn't be too hard," cat says whilst shooting blue beams I walk outside and look around
"And we're done I've got your sparrow we should be able to get to the skywatch quicker now I'll summon it now," cat says behind me I turn around and see a strange streamline looking machine with a seat on it and handles.
"How did you do that and what am I supposed to do ride it," I say to my ghost I look at her she giggles again and I glare at her she stops
"Look you get on you rotate your hands forward and it speeds up and goes and you lean left and right to turn I mean it shouldn't be that hard you learned how to use a gun faster than a lot of people," she says to I get on the sparrow I feel it move slightly as I get on
"This does not feel stable and second of all I'm a prodigy when it comes to all forms of combat don't compare me with somebody who has never been in a fight before," I say to her in a mixture of pride and worry.
I rotate my hands forward as cat says and I jolt forward I'm struggling with controlling the speed of this vehicle I see a building I'm about to crash into I turn just barely and start heading towards my objective and I hear ghost and bee on the comms talking but can't make out it do to focusing on not dying I see my objective insight, I also hear a loud bang and blue shot at the sparrow I'm ridding it sets ablaze from it
"This is not going to plan" I hear cat say I lose control of the sparrow and start spinning another shot lands on the vehicle it explodes I gritty my teeth in pain I tumble and bang my head I try to move and get up I struggle to even move my fingers I wheeze in pain as I managed to get on my hands and knees I cough up blood.
"What happened and dam it has been a while since I've been in this in much pain probably been since I became a pure-blood vampire In hammer fell before aludin showed up," I think to myself I try to stand up I use the wall to support my self and I see a fallen vandel I try to grab my sword but it uses the pommel of its sword to strike my hand I grunt in pain it pulls out a sidearm I try to knock it out of its hands but it strikes me to the ground I try to get back put I hear a click.
Suddenly everything is black I can't move or feel
"What happened where am I hello is anybody here" I try to call out but nothing comes out of my mouth I suddenly see this bright blue light and a pleasant warmness that comes over me.
I spring up and see the blue sky and I cough for air I look around to see the dirt I died and no dust I hear heavy footsteps above me and thundering gunshots with battle cries I get up and look around cat appears next scanning me
"What happened everything went black and I couldn't move," I say to her confusion in my voice clear I pat myself down cat stops scanning me and looks up at me "You died and it was a pain to bring you for the first time there's not usually that much dust you know," she says casually I take a deep breath and try to calm down and start to hum
"No I don't know look I've seen wired things such as giant world eating dragons a bow that can block out the sun hell I've been to other dimensions and none of that phased by the time I was sixteen but coming back from the dead is completely new and it going to take a lot of time to get used to," I say through panicked hums and I walk up the dirt slope mixed with stone and I
see bee there fighting some fallen I go invisible and walk by behind the fallen captain and vandel I pull out my sword and get sparks in my left hand and I shoot it at the captain it staggers and I stab it through the head the Vandell tries to slash me from the right I get my sword in a reverse grip and I step into his attack and slide my sword off its attacks I'm now behind it and I stab in its neck I pull my sword of its neck and look to bee
"Before you ask no I'm not okay and I'm just going to just deal with it later," I say to her she just walks up to me lays a hand on my shoulder and just nods in agreement.
"It's a lot to take the first time I had a somewhat similar experience in the crucible," bee said to me and I nod and walk away in embarrassment that I needed someone to calm me down I walk away into the ruined and decaying building there was glass and debris everywhere I turn a corner and I hear ghost speaking about how this links to the lunar colonies and I raise an eyebrow at that
"You had people living on the moon seems a bit far fetched although let's get back on track," I say trying to keep my composure. We walk into a room with a locked door and a keypad I look around the room is dark
"It looks the fallen didn't want anyone getting in or out," ghost says I look at him as he works
"Almost like the guarding something whatever it may be and it stinks," I say bee looks at me
"What makes you so sure I mean this could be them hiding resources we don't know," she says I nod the door opens we look at each other and we walk up the stairs our ghosts appear to give us a light we enter a dark room and we hear noise and I can hear movement
"Lots of motion up ahead guards up you two," cat says then a lot of white beings charge at us with claws and teeth I dodge to the right and slash one with my sword one jumps at me I walk backwards and block with my left and I strike with my left elbow driving down into its ribs and I kick its knee out and stab it the back of its head another charges me and knocks the grip of my sword I grab a dagger and it strikes I, dodge to the left and the other one grabs my arm with my dagger and bites me I grunt in pain the other one tries to rush me I wack its left with my tail then land a spinning hook to its head and I stomp on its foot it falls backwards and its ankle snaps then I pawm strike the other one bitting me in its face then I stab it in its jaw and I pull out my dagger I go to grab my sword but bee bumps into me and knocks me over I fall on the floor and two more try to jump on me I roll out the way and try to get up but I get shot in my side I fall over again they lunge again.
"Fiem!" I shout and become transparent and they phase through I get up and I use a bound sword to slice one I dodge the other attack and grabs its arm and jam the pommel in its throat and then I throw it and I accidentally hit bee and she misses her shot I shoot and an ice spike at one them so they don't hit her I then see a purple light charging I grab my bow and I shoot at it with an arrow and hit one then another one of white being charges me I dodge its attacks and stab an arrow in its elbow joint then I snap the arrow and stab its head I sigh and grab my duke and shoot the other purple light but I miss and it hit my stomach it burns the ebony plating but not permanently I see bee charge it and put it then shoot its stomach it flops over I start breathing heavily I look other to my sword and I see it still logged in the second one I killed and I
start to see a bloodied rose I shake my head
"Well that's over and you okay your brainwaves spiked like you were hallucinating" I hear cat say I grab the grip of my sword and pull it out
"I'm fine it was just the adrenaline besides that hallucination, it provided me with an idea for the name for my sword ill tell you later," I say to her I look to bee she motions to move forward I follow her and I go to speak but decide not to we walk up some stairs and into a much lighter room with more enemies bee charges forward into the battle I try to follow but more white beings attack I parry one and snap its neck and stab the other one its knee and head-butt it and then I pull my sword out and palm strike it InIts solar plexus and I hear it shatter I walk into the main room to see bee pinned by a blue blast
"It's wizard kill it and all the others will be cautious" I hear cat I click my fingers and five mistmen come out the ground and they charge in I transform into a bat and fly behind the wizard and throw my hands up in the air and active golden gun I shoot through a line of those white beings and then I shoot wizard and it disintegrates I then shoot one more white being and it dies. I walk towards bee and she's lying on the ground I offer her a hand she takes it I help her up I look at up her
"So is this a sign that you're starting to trust me" I look at her with a deadpan face and sigh
"No, I'm just being polite after all you are helping me acclimate into a new world, saving your ass is the least I can do," I say to her in a happy tone she laughs and we continue laughing.
"You two done with your bonding moment if so we should get to the tower," cat says to me.
"Wait so you two killed a fallen archon and a hive wizard well colour me impressed oh right Zavala said why don't you two take the rest of the day off he but he mainly wants people to get used to recognizing a new species as a non-threat"cayde says to us we nod
"Oh right take this," he says as he passes me a pouch I take and it's got some weight to it
"This is money I assume" he nods his head
"Well, I've got to do some paperwork so you two go enjoy yourselves" we nod and walk away.
"So now what," I say to bee she looks at me and shrugs I sigh and think what to do "We could and go get you two some more casual clothes don't you two scaring people constantly," ghost says and I nod to agree
"I can locate some women's clothing stores so you two aren't lost" we both agree and she does that and we walk down into the city.
As we walk down the street I hear mumbles
"Don't think about it too much they have seen an argonion before just don't pay attention to them?" I think to myself I sigh I continue waking to the clothing store and I hear a child talking to their mother and they stop
"Mommy look look it's the new people from outer space can we get a picture with them" I hear the child say the mother tries to calm their kid down I turn around to look at them and I walk towards the child
"Hello, little one what's your name," I say to them whilst holding out a hand for them "It's luke what's yours and I find your outfit really cool," he says I chuckle at the shy child "My name is pashila and thank you and like your outfit too so what brings you here," I say to luke.
"Oh it's my daddy's birthday soon so we're getting him a present what are you going to buy," he says to me.
"Hopefully something a bit more casual than armour and that's about it I'm afraid to say," I say to him he looks like he wants to ask a question but decides not to for some reason
"What do you want to ask," I ask luke he looks at me and shuffles his feet thinking what to say
"Could we take a picture together if it's not too much trouble" I look at him confused and I hear cat laughing at my confusion and sigh
" I would but I don't we have enough time to get a painting" he looks at me with laughs
"I don't a painting I mean a photograph of us you know one taken by a camera" I look at him with more confusion and I simple just nod and agree and he runs beside me and poses and I simply just kneel and smile and then there's a bright white light and I blink about and I get a hug from luke?
Luke looks up at me and gives me a look of thanks
" Thank you," he says to me and runs off with his mother and I look at them longingly and let out a quiet wine of jealousy and made sure bee didn't hear it.
"dam, you Astrid if you hadn't betrayed me and the others I would have had a family to belong to," I think to myself and bee looks at me.
"You're not as cold as make yourself out to be and that was surprisingly nice," bee says to me
"I may be a sadistic killer but I'm not heartless I believe that every child should get be a child and I donated millions so every child in Skyrim could get an education and enjoy themselves I even blackmailed jarls so every child no matter what race gets one," I say with sympathy and bee simply just stares at me with a happy look in her eye.
"I see you're not as nasty as you think anyways moving on," she says to me I just nod
"So is there, someone waiting for you back on your homeworld," she says to me I hide in my cloak and simply just continue walking
"No, I don't and the only reason I'm telling you this is that there is no reason to hide this from you got it and I know what I said back in my ship there is simply no relationship to comment on" she laughs at my embarrassment of just thinking about having a spouse she stops laughing
"You know your quite adorable when you're flustered and embarrassed like that and who knows perhaps we could end up being a couple" she flirts with me in an even more seductive tone than normal.
" is it needed to flirt with people who you aren't with" I demand from her as I glare at her
"No, but I find it fun teasing people and it's only a joke" I sigh as we walk into the clothing store and the employee is a bit shocked to see us
"Hello is there something I can help you two with," the employee asks politely "We're simply just looking for something more day to day if that's not too much trouble," I ask he shakes his head simply just points
"Casual clothing is at the back of the store if you two need anything please tell me and if you want to try anything before you purchase," He says nicely.
We thank him and walk to the back of the store where there are tops and pants and I see a black cropped shirt that shows the stomach
"You thinking about getting a crop top I have no idea what I'm going to get I might just get some bland tops and jeans," bee says to me
"Jeans what do they look like I'm also looking for something with a hood," I say to bee and she passes me a thick black top with a hood attached to it and some pants made out of fabric inspect them with the cropped shirt and I walk back to the employee.
" Would it be okay to try these items on if it's not too much trouble?" I say to him
"No, not at all mam but please be careful with jeans it would be unlucky for you to purchase them because you put a hole in them because of your tail," he says I simple just nod and walk into the changing room and change into the jeans and the cropped shirt and I wrap my tail around my waist and I walk out and I just hear bee whistle as she is holding her own set of clothing she was waiting to try on.
"Dam talk about muscular I thought your strength came from well you know," bee says committing on my rather cut and scared body
"It's a stupid idea to rely on just my supernatural powers besides how did you know these jeans would fit so well," I ask "Oh right ghost and cat have been comparing how different your biology is compared to humans so it was them," she says I sigh
"Next time ask or I will send you both to the plains of oblivion," I say deathly cold they
"Oh come on it's not like we were dissecting you besides it helped I'm more surprised you two found clothes this easily considering bee is seven-foot and your five-foot it could have been really hard to find these"
cat says to us I shake my head and sigh and look back to the employee and pass him the hoodie that bee picked out for me and I use magic to get my armour back on.
"How much for these," I ask as I pass him the clothing, he takes the clothing to the front desk
"That will be 75 glimmer, please," he says I pass him the glimmer and he puts them in the bag passes me the bag and I click my fingers and my clothing pops onto my body but the hoodie was still in the bag and I poke my tail through my jeans so it was more comfortable,
"Strange cayde says we have a meeting to go to," the cat says to me I was an eyebrow at this
"A last-minute meeting, of course, well I would have liked to see the city more," I say to her and walk off and thanking employee and tell bee where I'm off to I transform into a bat and fly up to the tower and I see the vanguard waiting for me in the main plaza I fly down and transform above them and land in front of them I look at them and they all raise an eyebrow at the dramatic entrance.
"We're glad you made it on such short notice please follow us" Zavala ask and we walk down into a meeting room that isn't the hall of guardians there are flags of each faction and I see a pink Exo in yellow robes and awoken in a black top and pants and a man in red and white clothing and finally a man in pure white robes with a white mask with black accents I sit down along with the vanguard
"Thank you for coming this is to discuss your True motives and your citizenship in the city you may call me the speaker," the now-named speaker says to me I simply nod
"It's no issue although this sort of meeting would have been better planned more in advance," I say to the speaker
"I still think this is a rash decision and for all, we know the darkness could have sent you to infiltrate the city and kill us all think of that," the pink Exo said I furrowed my brow and glared at her
"Hey my guardian isn't that much of a threat and besides if she was corrupted by the darkness wouldn't have imbued her with the light and sure she may be a bit temperamental but she isn't a bad person" cataclysm snapped at the pink Exo and she was about to say something before the one in red and white speaks up to defend the one yellow
"And are you not the same ghost that deleted important military intelligence that we barely manage to get back," he says to cat I simply just wag my tail in curiosity at that tidbit of info.
"Now let's not forget Lakshmi and executor hideo we once refugees as well now please could you please tell us what was your motives back on your homeworld the speaker says to me
"There personal but I can assure you they do not include harming anyone in your city if anything this entire situation has put me in a unique yet familiar position" I answer the speaker and I feel

"If it's okay with her I don't see why not," cayde says but Zavala looks deep in thought.
"But if we do go through with this we still need to find a way to get a flow of blood to feed you and how do we get that without crippling our hospitals," Zavala says.
"Well I will be fine for now I have my storage of blood that will last me a month but if you intend to use my medical data to help your people then don't drink or inject any of my blood or it will turn your people into vampires and certainly don't fancy becoming a blood matrain," I say to them and there's a silent agreement to what I say.
"Please if it's not too much trouble what is your homeworld like I believe this could be very valuable data to dead orbit" the awoken finely spoke I look at him and try to read what he is thinking.
"It's harsh and unfair and you can rarely be vulnerable the moment you are you get everything ripped from you," I say to the awoken he simply just nods the speaker raises an arm.
"Now then if all the questions are over I think it's time we put this to a vote to see if our new ally gets full citizenship in the city all in favour raise an arm" the vanguard and the awoken raise an arm but Lakshmi and executor Hideo do not and finally the speaker raises his arm to and this surprised me.
"Well then it seems pashila has been granted, full citizenship please try to follow our laws if you have any questions do not hesitate to ask and I will be asking you to keep your magic and any other vampiric urges under control," the speaker says I agree but the other two look at the speaker disapproving I go to leave
"Just because you have full citizenship does not mean you are free of my watch don't forget new monarchy has legal sway I could have your ghost killed and you arrested don't forget that," Hideo says to me I look at him and start laughing at him and his threat I flex my hand shadowy shackles appear and pull him to the wall I let a feral smile grow on my face
"Remember your place little man your threats don't scare me and if I ever so wished it I could kill every living being on this world with a simple click of my fingers and be the only living being left, and I'm fine with following your laws but do not threaten me do you understand me," I say as I feel my vampire lord form churns to come out I let him out the shackles I feel him glaring at me but before he speaks I turn and jam my claws in the wall next stone falls next to him and I flash my fangs at him and I glare at him
" don't go wasting this chance over petty threats I'm sure executer hideo means well and does threaten your and cataclysm's we'll beings," Zavala says I back away and leave.
