We Be Burning
Ash sits in the park and takes in the wind and the leaves. He looks to his left and sees a group of Seedot hanging from a tree. Ash sighs and looks through his phone and sees photos of his friends and zooms in on Jeremy. "Man, it sucks. It has been four days and nothing! Also, I am supposed to live my life while Jeremy is in a fucking coma! Like shit, I don't want to go on this double date with Allison's twin brother and his girlfriend." Ash lays down on the grass and looks up at the sky. "Today, I don't know how to feel. But, maybe-" Before Ash can finish, Brock arrives to finish some homework. "Ash! Prepping for your double date?" Brock teases. "Please! I don't want to think about it," Ash teases. Brock laughs. Brock thinks about Aelita and his love life as he flips through the pages as he does his homework. He went with Aelita and Yumi to visit Jeremy. Jeremy looked peaceful, but it was sad for Brock to see one friend in a coma and another friend crying. "Aelita cries a lot. I don't blame her." Brock thinks about his relationship with Leona. Leona was Dawn's best friend from her hometown. They had a messing breakup, to put it nicely. Leona cheated on Brock with a fellow student and was caught during the end of the year trip. "I hope Aelita has better luck than me," Brock said.
Aelita and Yumi eat lunch outside as a nurse check on Jeremy. "Thanks for coming with me," Aelita said. "No problem," Yumi said. "Plus, since XANA tried to get to Jeremy twice already, he needs a bodyguard." "I know. Did you notice that Brock has been down lately?" "I did. I know that his previous relationship ended badly and that he has been thinking about it. Maybe with Jeremy in a coma, Brock has been reflecting on his love life." "And you haven't?" Yumi blushes. "I mean, not really. We need to focus on Lyoko and Jeremy's recovery." "I see. So you have been thinking about Ulrich," Aelita hints. "No! Not really. Maybe. I mean, we are friends, and that is all." "For now." "Let's focus on you and Jeremy." "Or talk about the double date from hell, as Ash puts it." "It won't be that bad. The couples will go to a movie and eat pizza and come back to school. Ash will be fine. What is his deal?" "Allison's twin brother, Ash J. He tends to be overprotected and may try to embarrass Ash or mess up his date. Allison is only doing this because Moxie begged her brother, and he begged her to convince Ash." "Well, the boys and bond over what it takes to keep their girlfriends happy." Yumi and Aelita laugh. After lunch, Aelita takes out her laptop and gets to work. "Is that the program for direct virtualization into Sector Five?" Yumi asks. "Yes. I am trying to help Jeremy out. I am really close as well." Aelita said. Yumi nods and stands outside the door as a guard.
Later in the afternoon, Allison and Ash are at the mall waiting for Ash J and Moxie. "Ash, it will b okay. We are watching The Speed and the Suspense 6. Then we are going for pizza," Allison said. "Sure. Until your brother becomes an asshole," Ash said. "Really, I thought you were the asshole, "Ash J said. "Please. We are trying to have a good time," Moxie said. "For real," Allison said. The boys rolled their eyes. Meanwhile, Rocky visits Jeremy. "Room for one more?" Rocky asks. "Sure," Aelita said. "I need Jeremy to be better becasue I can't crack jokes on you two if one of you is sick," Rocky said. Aelita smiles. Back at the mall, the girls buy the snacks for the movie. "How's Jeremy?" Moxie asks. "Fine. No change, but the doctor thinks he will wake up soon," Allison said. The boys have an arm-wrestling match. "You seemed to have lost your touch," Ash J said. "Really, the match seems longer than usual. So it seems that you have lost your touch," Ash said. "Boys, the movie is about to start. Save the energy for pizza," Allison said. As the movie progresses, Allison rests her head on Ash's shoulders. Ash J looks over and turns to look at Moxie, who squeezes his hand during a chase scene. Ash J gives Moxie a peck on the cheek, and they both blush. Back at school, Brock listens to music as he thinks about love. Brock closes his eyes and remembers all over his crushes, flirts, whatever happened with Professor Ivy, and his relationship with Leona. "I know that I am young, but I still wish I had something." Brock looks through his phone and sees a photo of Ash, Dawn, Allison, Ash J, Kenny, and Leona at the fair last spring. "Sometimes I want to delete the picture, but other times, I want to cut Leona out." Brock also thinks about his parents. His dad was losing many battles as a gym leader, so his mother left because she was embarrassed. Then his father left because he felt like a failure. Brock took over the gym and the household. The rest is history. "I think I will meet the one soon," Brock said. While at the hospital, Aelita gets an alert. "XANA!"
After the movie, the couples have pizza outside. Allison feeds Ash his slice of pizza. "Blah," Ash J said. "Can you feed me?" Moxie asks. "Sure," Ash J said. Moments later, Ash looks with the corner of his eye and sees two pixelized Arcanine. "Allison, do you see that?" Ash asks. "I do; what do we do?" "I'll call Aelita." Ash leaves the table to call Aelita. "Is everything okay?" Moxie asks. "Yeah, he is checking in on Aelita," Allison said. "Aelita, I saw some Arcanine that XANA might have possessed," Ash said. "I saw that there was an activated tower. I am heading there now. Yumi might need backup if the Arcanine comes to the hospital," Aelita said. "You mean when the Pokemon attack. Okay, see you soon." "Hey, it's time to go back to school," Allison said. "Great, Allison, can you meet Yumi at the hospital?" Ash asks. "Sure," Allison said. Allison whispers to Ash. "XANA?" "XANA." As Allison heads to the hospital, Ash, Ash J, and Moxie head back to school. Ash makes a detour and heads for the Factory. "Hey, where did her go?" Ash J asks. "Who knows. You know Ash, Allison, and their friends tend to leave a take-off," Moxie said. "So true." At the Factory, Odd, Dawn, Ash, and Brock wait for Aelita. "Okay, who is going to handle the Supercomputer?" Odd asks. "I will," Dawn said. "Really?" Odd asks. "Yeah, I can handle it. It is time for a lady to handle the ropes," Dawn said. "Okay, we'll be downstairs," Brock said. Dawn wiggles her fingers. "Let's do this," she said. Meanwhile, Allison runs to the hospital and is hit with Tackle. "Ouch, again!" Allison said. She is face to face with an Arcanine. "Are you looking for Jeremy? Well, I think you are more of a Poke Food Pokemon." The Arcanine growls and uses Flamethrower, but Allison hides. Yumi comes face to face with another Arcanine, and it uses Roar.
Once Aelita gets to the Factory, she sees that Dawn is in the chair. "Everyone is waiting for you," Dawn said. "I can see that! Where's Allison?" Aelita asks. "She is going to help Yumi deal with the Arcanine." "I see." Once on Lyoko, the group heads for the tower, only to be stopped by a Mega size Megatank. "Why is that so huge?" Brock asks. "XANA gave it vitamins,' Odd said. "Not the time," Ash said. The Megatank rolls down the path and shakes everything. "Whoa! XANA had time to think!" Aelita said. "There is a screen on the left with some writing," Dawn said. "What does it say?" "Holy shit! XANA used energy from Sector Five to create the Mega Megatank. Plus, it gave the Arcanine some boosters." "Boosters? That doesn't sound good!" Odd said. The Megatank attacks and cracks several mountains and causes an avalanche. "Watch out!" Dawn shouts. She looks through Jeremy's handbook. "I think I can get one vehicle." "Do what you have to do," Aelita said. The group dodges the falling rocks and tries to land an attack on the Megatank. The monster keeps closing itself and launching lasers at the Warriors. Dawn manages to send the Overwing to Lyoko. "I see it," Ash said. "We need to get Aelita to it," Odd said. "Odd, you can climb mountains, literally. I think you can get to the Overwing and bring it to Aelita," Brock said. "I'll try," Odd said. Odd climbs on some rocks to get to the Overwing. The ground around Aelita starts to crack, so Ash uses his powers to move Aelita to a safer location. Brock uses one of his arrows to it the Megatank. It hits the eye as Odd grabs the Overwing and scoops up Aelita. As they make their way to the tower, Brock hears something. "I hear Hornets," Brock said. "I see them, and they are heading for Odd and Aelita," Dawn said. A hornet hits the Overwing and sends Aelita and Odd flying. "Wait, why is the Megatank still here?" Ash asks. The Megatank has two eyes, and when Brock hits it, it turns blue. "This is some creepy shit!" Brock said. The Megatank starts to shoot ice and creates an ice prison for Ash and Brock. Aelita wakes up and sees the Schypozoa near her. Odd runs in from of her, but Hornets surround him. Allison finds some ice at the hospital and throws it at Arcanine when it uses Fire Fang, and the two moves create smoke. Allison then uses water to soak Arcanine to slow it down. Yumi finds a stick and uses it to block Arcanine's Bite, but it uses Fire Fang instead and burns it. Yumi runs, and Arcanine uses Extreme Speed to attack Yumi. Yumi gets up and throws dirt in its face, then employs more soil to attack Arcanine. Allison catches her, but Arcanine sneaks in the back. "Since Officer Jenny sometimes uses Arcanine, nobody is asking questions," Allison said. Allison enters the hospital and walks towards Jeremy's room. Arcanine is about to use a Flamethrower to burn the door down when Allison throws a bottle of Stun Spur at it. The Pokemon is unable to move. Yumi is near the park where Arcanine chased her and found a Wartortle. "Can you help me? Please?" Wartotle walks away, but when it sees the Arcanine, it changes its mind. "I see, you like a challenge. Me too!" Yumi said. "Use Watergun!" Wartortle used Watergun to attack Arcanine. Arcanine uses Leer, but Wartortle hides in its shell. "Use Hydro Pump!" Yumi commands. Wartortle uses it from its shell. A few minutes later, both Arcanine Pokemon do not move. "Did they deactivate the tower already?" Allison asks. Then both Arcanine starts to glow. "Blaze!" Allison said. Then they have a yellow glow with yellow eyes. "Umm, I know when Brock talks about Blaze, it is not like the Demon from Lucky Street vibe," Yumi said. One Arcanine uses Hyper Beam, while the other uses Giga Impact. Allison runs down the stairs as fast as she can, and she is chased while Wartotle uses Bubble as a shield while Yumi takes it and runs.
The Schypozoa and hornets surround Aelita and Odd. Odd tries to attack one, but they use sludge to trap them. "This won't work. We need another plan," Aelita said. Meanwhile, Ash and Brock break free of the ice prison and try to defeat the Megatank. "It again an upgrade!" Ash said. "Yep. XANA is showing off some new skills!" Brock said. "Great, soon, it will create a giant volcano!" Ash said; Ash jumped at a rock to see if he could see the other eye. "It is right underneath the first one." "You need to have a clean shot. It will head towards Aelita and Odd as soon as it has an opening. Anything I can do?" Dawn asks. "Magic!" Brock said. "Doesn't apply to this but maybe roll it over the edge." "That's it. I have an idea," Ash said. "You do? I'm worried!" Dawn said. "No need to!" "That's when I worry the most," Brock said. Odd stares at the monsters. Aelita attacks a hornet, but it strikes her back. "Ouch!" "Does Ash or Brock have a plan!" Odd shouts. "Ash does!" Dawn said. "What is it?" "I don't know." "That's a horrible plan!" Aelita said. Before Dawn can answer, she sees another Arcanine with green mist around it. It uses Take Down on Dawn. "Fuck! Two can play that game!" Dawn runs towards Arcanine and moves out of the way, and it hits the wall. The Schypozoa tries to grab Aelita when Ash throws his sword at it and cuts all tentacles off. Then Brock runs in from of the Megatank, and the ice beams hit most of the hornets. Odd and Aelita hit the rest, and Aelita starts to run. Brock moves out of the way, and the Megatank squashes the Schypazoa and falls into the digital sea. At the hospital, Allison found a rod that happens to be fireproof and blocks Arcanine's Bite. It growls at her and tries to scratch her. Allison pushes it into a puddle of water and runs. Arcanine jumps on her and tries to use a Flamethrower. "Eat shit!" Allison shouts as she throws dirt on it. Yumi has Wartortle use Rapid Spin. Arcanine uses Fire Spin to counter the move. Fire Spin proves to be powerful as Wartortle flies into Yumi's arms. "Are you okay?" "Wartortle!" Wartortle wants to get battling. So Arcanine turns up the heat with Flare Blitz. Wartortle and Yumi run. Aelita manages to enter the tower just as Dawn is dodging attacks from the Arcanine. She ends up with a scratch on her arm. Aelita enters the code, and all of the Arcanine stop what they are doing. Instead, they end up licking Dawn, Allison, and Yumi. "Hey, I know you love to be friendly," Allison said. "Well, Wartortle, you have a friend," Yumi said. "Wartortle!" Wartortle agrees."Well, do you want to great my friends!" Dawn said. Arcanine happily accepts.
Later that evening, Odd tends to Dawn's wounds. He smiles at her, and she blushes. Allison smiles as Ash cleans her face. "Thank you," Allison said. "I am returning the favor," Ash said. Ulrich tends to Yumi and speaks to her. "Why don't you come to Lyoko next time?" "I have more free time. I'll keep watch at the hospital," Yumi said. Brock smiles as he reflects on today. "I am glad that I have friends around. That means love will come my way soon!" Brock said. "That's the spirit," Aelita said. Dawn gets a text message from a student named Brian. "Who is Brian?" Odd asks. "My partner for our history project," Dawn said. Brian ends the message with a heart emoji. "A heart?" Odd asks. "I don't know, and why does it bother you? I heard that Tiny and you are having lunch tomorrow. Do you think that I might crash your date? No need to worry about that," Dawn said. Odd fumes when he sees the emoji.
Well, Arcanine and a Mega Megatank! XANA has sent another challenge that the Lyoko Warriors have conquered. Speaking of conquering, "How was the date?" Aelita asks. "It was great. I had fun," Ash said. Allison gets a message from Ash J. "My brother said that he will send you your half of the bill." "What the fuck? I paid my share!" Ash said. "Well, talk to my brother. I paid for my pizza as well." "Wait, bill? Did you go over budget?" Ulrich asks. "I don't know!" Ash said. Well, at least Ash survived. However, it looks like a boy likes Dawn, and his name is not Odd Della Robbia. How will Odd react? That is for next time!
