Overworked
Our heroes have been through a lot over the past weeks. XANA is taking out Lyoko sector by Sector, its attacks have been more dangerous, and Jeremy was in a coma. Wait! Not a coma! He had the flu and was on bed rest for a week. The power of the RTTP does its work. With all that has been going on, our heroes seemed overwhelmed. "Class, this exam had a few surprises!" Mr. Fumet shouts as he passes the exams back. Ash looks at his grade and gulps. "I did better than I thought." Brock and Allison look at their grades. "92% is still an A," Brock said. "Tell that to Dawn!" Allison said. "92.5%! I could do better," Dawn said. "You could. I was surprised, and even Jeremy," Mr. Fumet said. Jeremy sighs as he sees his grade. Aelita and Odd look at Herve, who score slightly higher than Jeremy. "Usually, Jeremy is the brains," Sissi said. Ash J whispers to his sister. "Is everything okay? I mean, I understand Fairy Soldier business, but it seems your friends have more on their plates." "Everything is going to be fine," Allion said as she looked at Ulrich. He looks around and notices he hasn't got his test back-SLAM! Mr. Fumet slams the exam on Ulrich's desk. "Really! I knew you were bad but not this bad!" Ulrich covers his face. "This exam was practice for the midterm! Study like hell!" Mr. Fumet shouts. Yumi has a better day. "So many unexcused absences and lateness," Mr. Delas shouts. "But sir I-" Yumi starts, but she is interrupted by Mr. Delmas. "No excuses! One more lateness or absence, and it is exclusive for you, Ms. Ishyama!" Never mind, Yumi is having the worst day! After class, Ash J notices that his sister is tired. "How stress are you?" "I'm fine. The coursework is intense and with all of the midterms so slow close together," Allison explains. "Fine, lie to me. But have someone to help because whatever the reason for the stress doesn't appear to take a day off." Ash J leaves. Ulrich walks up to Allison. "He's right! XANA doesn't take a day off."
Later that night at the factory, the Warriors have a meeting. "Allison, are you awake?" Odd asks. Allison has his eyes closes as she rests her head on Ash's shoulders. "Allison?" Brock asks. "We can fill her in later," Aelita said. "I am not sleeping!" Allison said. "Then what did we say?" "That we have overloaded with school, Fairy Soldier missions, and XANA. None of the above are slowing down, and we need to recruit help." "I didn't say all of that!" Jeremy said. "But you're right. Our personal lives are suffering, and we need to do something." "I like what Allison said. We could recruit William. He has proven how well he fits into the group. Plus, we all agreed-" Aelita starts, but Yumi interrupts. "I didn't. I still think it is a no. William can't trust him! He is too much of a hothead!" Jeremy takes a breath. "How about we table this in the morning." "Okay," Dawn said. They all start to leave. "Are you coming?" Brock asks. "I'll stay and work on the Sector Five virtualization. I am close to it," Jeremy said. "Okay, but please make it to bed." Jeremy smiles and nods. Maybe an hour or two later, Jeremy falls asleep. During the night, XANA activates a tower. However, Jeremy sleeps through it. (This is not the time to be too tired!) Jeremy wakes up and looks around. "Shit, Brock is going to let me have it." However, Jeremy turns around and sees a specter attack him.
In the morning, Jeremy rushes to Aelita's aid. "Aelita, I found you!" "Jeremy, what's with all the excitement?" Aelita questions him. "My program for Sector Five virtualization. It works. I want to test it right now. Let's go!" Jeremy grabs Aelita's hand to take her to the factory. "Slow your rolls. We should tell the other first. Plus, remember our conversation yesterday?" Jeremy's puzzled. "I see you didn't take Brock's advice. We have school, and we can't take any more chances. Also, we have a physics exam today." "But, fine!" Thankfully the others agree with Aelita!" "No way! I need the grade," Ulrich said. "Me too. I had to cram with Ash and Brock because you were MIA," Odd said. "I have photography class and one more absence, and it is the end for me," Yumi said. "It's not a big deal," Jeremy said. "Excuse me. You were the one who was all 'it's due to die' yesterday!" Ash said. "Look, if you want to push this, we can go after the exam. Yumi can join us later," Allison said. "Fine! If you want that," Jeremy said. Brock and Dawn look at each other. "Jeremy seems weird," Brock said. "Yeah, like if that is Jeremy or something else," Dawn said. Dawn and Brock might be on the right track because Jeremy is climbing out of the river. Jeremy? Then who is talking to the heroes? The real Jeremy tries to call the others but. "No juice. Okay, I will go to the factory." In Ms. Hertz's class, Odd is freaking out. "Despite the all-night cram session, I am going to flunk." The clone takes the exam for Jeremy, Odd whispers to him. "Hey, can I see question four?" "I thought you studied?" The clone asks. "Come on," Odd said. "Mr. Della Robbia!" Ms. Hertz said. "I can help you." "Thanks a lot. Oh! The Principal's office?" "Correct1 You get the right every time!" Ms. Hertz said sarcastically. "Jeremy, have you finish the exam?" "Yes, mam," the clone said. "Good. Take your friend to the Principal!" The clone smiles. On the way there, Odd fumes. "Jeremy, what the fuck? Why didn't you let me copy?" "You should have studied harder!" Before Odd's come back, his phone rings. "Odd, I am so glad to hear you," Jeremy said. "The fuck? Who is this?" Odd asks. "Odd! XANA has activated a tower. A clone tried to drown me. However, I escaped. The coma wasn't bad enough. XANA tried to end my life quicker!" Jeremy said. "Huh? Who is this?" Odd asks. "Look into his eyes, Odd!" Odd looks into the eyes of the clone and sees the Eye of XANA. Odd gulps. "Who is it?" the clone asks. "You wouldn't believe me," Odd said as the clone zeroes in on Odd. "Odd?" Jeremy calls out. No response as Odd is knocked out. Meanwhile, Yumi and William are in the darkroom working on their photography assignment. "You know, Yumi, I have had dreams," William asks. "About what?" Yumi asks. "There was this man who works at a bomb place. He attacked us, and we had to battle him on the bridge. Also, he planted bombs everywhere, and Ulrich and I, along with some of your other friends, had to stop the bombs. It was cool, but it was real. I felt scared, but at the same time, we all managed to put aside our differences to save this place." Yumi looks at him. "Wow, such a dream." A few minutes later, Jeremy calls Yumi. "Yumi?" "Jeremy, what about your exam?" "That was not me but a clone. The clone tried to kill me but failed. I need you to bet the others because I fear the clone will come after me once this call is over," Jeremy said. "Jeremy, not again. I am not getting kicked out of school." William smiles. "You know, if you need to take care of something, you can leave from the window." "You would do that?" "Yeah, like in my dream, it feels like something I would do." Yumi nods. "Okay, Jeremy, I am on my way." Later Yumi finds Odd unconscious.
"We need to call the others," Yumi said. Odd nods. Yumi calls Aelita. Aelita calls Ulrich. "I need more time. I am at a good place in my exam," Ulrich said. "Okay, meet us there," Aelita said. Aelita gets up at the same time as Allison and whispers, "XANA," to her. Allison signals Ash, Brock, and Dawn. The boys leave while Dawn stays behind with Ulrich to finish. The four meet up with Yumi and Odd and head for the factory. Meanwhile, Jeremy's hypothesis comes true because the clone comes out of the elevator, attacks Jeremy, throws him down the elevator shaft, and takes him. Once the group arrives at the factory, the clone talks to them. "Thank goodness. The clone attacked me, but I managed to subdue it for now. We need to hurry." "Are you sure you're Jeremy?" Dawn asks. "Of course. Plus, I remember Brock's advice, and I did fell asleep o=in the factory, but I do have a pillow." Aelita chuckles. Once in the scanner room, Odd is unsure of something. "It feels weird." "Well, I trust him," Yumi said. "Call it women's intuition," Aelita said. "Ours says to brace ourselves," Allison said. Once on Lyoko, Ash asks a question. "Jeremy, can we have some transportation, please?" "Oh, Ash, I have plans!" The clone said. "Uh oh!" Brock said. "Nice one, you two gave Women's intuition a bad name," Dawn said. The clone does something. "Our avatars are bugged up," Brock said. "I'm fine," Aelita said. "I know why," Yumi said. The Scyphozoa and four Kankrelats came and surrounded Aelita. "Get away from her," Yumi shouts as she throws her fans, but they go through the monsters. Allison tries with her plasma balls but the same results. "We are not getting hit," Brock said. "But we can't attack either," Odd said. "Aelita, run!" Ash said. Aelita can't, but she tries to defend herself, but it is too late; the Scyphozoa grabs her. The clone laughs as Aelita runs for the way tower. Meanwhile, Jeremy can climb the emergency ladder and is en route to the lab. Dawn and Ulrich finish their exam and head for the factory. When they get there, the clone attacks them. "You know, the real Jeremy can fight; you fight like a motherfucker," Dawn said. The clone grabs her and throws her across the room, but Ulrich tackles it. Jeremy appears and tells Dawn to be on standby in the scanner room as he debugs the others. "Okay, Ulrich, are you okay?" Dawn asks. "Yeah. I can handle this motherfucker!" Ulrich said. The clone gowls. Once Jeremy fixes the avatars, the Warriors attack, with Dawn joining the party. "Dawn, you and Ash chase after Aelita," Yumi said. "Okay," Ash said. Allison makes two big plasma balls for the monsters. The monsters look at each other. "Yeah, not so fun now!" Allison teases. Odd shoots some laser arrows. Brock shoots some arrows as well. Afterward, they all follow suit to stop Aelita from entering Code XANA. Meanwhile, William is covering for Yumi. "William, Yumi. Hurry up!" Jim shouts. "Jim, we are working as fast as we can. The prints will be worth it!" William said. "Yumi, are you there?" Jim asks. "She is, but you know scholar students." "Yumi has a voice!" "Jim, William, and I are almost done!" Willam said in a Yumi-like impression.
As the fight goes on, Ulrich is tired and losing. "I will not give up, XANA!" Ulrich said. "You should!" The clone said. As more Kankrelats appear, Yumi follows Aelita alone. "Aelita, wake up!" Yumi shouts. "Leave me alone," Aelita attacks Yumi. Moments later, the others were defeated by the Kankrelats. "Yumi, did she stop her?" Allison asks. Yumi tries to recover from the attack, but Aelits enters the tower. "No!" Yumi shouts. "I couldn't catch her. We are going to lose the Mountian Sector." Jeremy is in shock as the clone laughs as it attacks Ulrich. Ash, Brock, Allison, Dawn, and Odd shake their heads. As Aelita puts Code: XANA, the Sector starts to disappear. "What did I do?" Aelita asks. "Run!" Yumi shouts as Jeremy brings them back. The clone laughs as it evaporates. Later, the group discusses the recent events. "Now XANA can attack the Core of Lyoko with no problem," Aelita said as she cried. "No need to worry," Dawn said as she hugged her. "No need to worry indeed," Jeremy said. "Huh?" Ulrich asks. "My results from this morning." "About the program?" Ash asks. "Yes. Long story short, we have direct access to Sector Five!" "Great. It will come in handy now that William will be a part of the group," Yumi said. The group looks at her. "Wait, a girl can change her mind!" Later, Jim barges into the darkroom. "William, where is YUMI?" "I', here and thanks to you, our prints are ruined! " Yumi said as Jim blushed.
Later that day, the group watches as Yumi talks to William. "How did your exam go?" Aelita asks. "Well, I think one of my best," Ulrich said. "So, the dream was real?" William asks. "Yes, and we think you will be a great addition to the group," Yumi said. "If he says yes, then Jeremy can do his duel team plan," Dawn said. "Which is?" Odd asks. "The group will be split into two. One group goes to Lyoko with Aelita while the other stays on Earth and does damage control then switch next vision." "Cool. That makes things easier," Odd said. William looks at the group, and they wave at him. "I'm in!"
William's in! Pop the coder becasue there is a new member. XANA doesn't stand a chance. However, XANA likes fresh meat; let's hope William doesn't get catch up in the excitement of Lyoko becasue the fight is not over yet!
