Missed One
In the downtown area, a man named Jack Slate. He works at the Nile- a company with everything, and a consumer can receive the item in about twelve hours. He is walking to the bank to deposit some funds for his single cruise worldwide. He is walking down the street singing a song. "I want this shit forever and ever." The next thing he notices, there is water on the ground.
It was a sunny day at Kadic Academy. The birds and flying Pokemon are all around, and there is a lake in the courtyard. "A lake?" Odd asks as he walks around in rain boots. "I heard that when it rained last night, the river overflowed," Ulrich says. "That is not possible." "It is," Allison explains. "One: Global Warming is real and part of the reason. Two: when it rains a lot, like hurricane rain, bodies of water nearby can overflow into the streets. Sometimes the bodies of water go back to normal, or they create this." Dawn looks around. "I don't remember the shit monster but was it like this?" "Yes, however, this is all freshwater," Jeremy says. Aelita laughs. "At least the school is clean." The drinking water, not so much. "Why is it brown?" Brock asks. "The storm. I don't think it is drinkable," Yumi says. Ash J and Sissi walk by, and Ash J tries to refill his water bottle. "What the fuck? Why is it brown?" Sissi shirks. "Gross!" She freaks out and bumps into Yumi, who bumps her back, and Sissi crashes into Ash J, who spills his water on her. "Hey, you fucking asshole!" "Excuse me! You bumped into me!" Ash J says. He picks up his bottle and looks at it. "I want to see something." Ash J asks Ms. Hertz if she can check out the water sample. She does, but she gets called away for a faculty meeting because of the rising water levels on campus. "Whoa, I wanted to ask Ms. Hertz something, but she left like there is a fire," Ash says. "She got called into a meeting. But I want to see what is in the water," Ash J says. Brock and Yumi hook up the microscope to the projector to see the results up close. When they turn it all, they are all shocked.
jack looks around and sees the rising water. "Why is there so much water?" Jack looks around and notices that some of the water is brown and moving. "The tides are coming in fast." Jack sees that some people are getting swept away. Then, he notices that there are static and that the waves have arms. "Arms? What is happening?" Jack tries to escape, but the components of water "grab" everything. Jack manages to swim up and stay on top of a building but, he is out of breath. "What is happening?" jack turns around and sees a monster with the Eye of XANA. "A water monster? With an unusual tattoo!" The water monster turns into waves and knocks Jack down.
"What are there electromagnetic waves in the water?" Ash J asks. Brock takes a close look and sees tiny Eyes of XANA on it. He walks over to Yumi. "Yumi, take a look," Brock says quietly. "Why? It is maybe dirt, rust, and other minerals," Yumi responds. Brock shakes his head, so Yumi goes and looks at Brock and winks at him, and signals to Ash to "This is weird. Why are there symbols on the samples?" Ash J asks. "Maybe its periodic symbol is printed on it?" Sissi asks. Both Ash and Ash J look at her with a "You're kidding, right?" facial expression. Ash looks at the samples and looks at Yumi and Brock, and they both nod. "I mean-what! It's moving!" Ash J says. Brock texts Allison. "Brock says that XANA is attacking by using the water." "I haven't had any alerts," Jeremy says. Jeremy looks further. "Son of a bitch!" "What?" Aelita asks as she looks at Jeremy's laptop. "There is a new replica, and XANA has been busy. We can talk more at the factory," Jeremy says. Allison responds to Brock. However, Brock is busy because the sample became more prominent, creating a giant wave. "What is the world?" Sissi asks. "We should run!" Ash says. The wave knocks them down to the ground, but Brock gets up. "We have to leave and close the door behind us," he shouts. They all do that and leave for the gym, a fall-out shelter. Elsewhere, the others arrive at the factory. "Okay, here is the deal. XANA has a lab in an abandoned area in Belgium by the coast. The factory there used to work with water and steam. XANA activated a line that connects to the North Sea," Jeremy starts. "The North Sea connects to the English Channel," Odd says. "Yes, and that is where the water is coming from. Most of the water from the sea od the lakes all merge from the English Channel that XANA is pumping water from." "What is the goal?" Dawn asks. "To get rid of us. Also, we are on a time crunch," Aelita says. "Why?" Ulrich asks. "Because we have two hours to get to the replica and destroy the supercomputer before the water levels rise too high." "Also, because the water is turning into crashing waves," Dawn says as she shows everyone her phone. Tobias records a video of himself, Nicholas, and Jane running from the waves that crash into them. "I'm okay, but I need a surfboard," Tobias says. "Get in here. This is not a joke!" Jim shouts. "No pressure!" Odd says. "Okay, let's get to Sector Five! I am sending Dawn and Ulrich to the lab in Belgium. Everyone else, be on guard," Jeremy says. At the gym, water is leaking from the windows. "We have to board the windows," Ash says. "We can use the sports equipment," Brock says. Everyone helps out. "What happened to Ms. Hertz?" Ash J asks. "Didn't you hear?" Moxie asks. "Hear what?" "The faculty were in their meeting when a wave crashed through the windows. They have to go to the ER." "What! Does Sissi know?" "I think so, but she can't leave. The waves are out of control." "Speaking of waves, where is your sister?" "I don't know. I'll call her." Ash overhears this and comes over. "Allison and the others are in another building with some other adults. I know that their cell phones may not be working with the water and everything." "Okay," Ash J says; however, he doesn't buy it and starts to become worried for his twin sister.
Jack swims up and ends up by Pail Dove, an ice cream shop. He stands up and starts to cough up water. "I need to record this weather phenomenon," Jack says. He takes out his phone. The water levels are increasing, and the waves are intensifying. Jack starts to record when a wave knocks his cell phone down. He starts to cough when the waves knock him down. Jack starts to sink, but he can grab his phone and use a sinking car to push himself up.
Dawn and Ulrich are racing through the lab in Belgium on the replica, which is the Mountian Sector. The lab has canals through the whole area plus Flying Mantas. "Jeremy, is Aelita close to the tower?" Ulrich asks as he uses his weapon to defeat a Manta that flies over his head. "Not yet. William split himself into two. XANA tried that before," Jeremy says. "Ulrich, watch out," Dawn says as she uses both her Poi Sticks to split a manta into Aelita is trying to deactivate the tower, but William 1 is after her with Odd in pursuit. "Laser Arrow!" Odd shouts as William 1 blocks him. "XANA always wins!" William shouts. "No, he doesn't. Maybe twelve to out 10,000!" Allison puts up a shield around the ship by the Skid as she tackles two Krabs. "This is why Krab is cooked alive in cooking!" Allison shouts as she defeats a Krab with her plasma stick. As Dawn does battle with a Manta in Belgium, Ulrich is about to reach the supercomputer when camouflage Manta attacks him. "AAH!" "Ulrich!" Dawn shouts. Jeremy checks things out. "Ulrich is okay, but Dawn, you have to finish the mission!" "Great! I have two flying shits and an environmental disaster maker to deal with!" Dawn says. "Good luck. I can't send you anyone else." Dawn smirks. At the gym, the students notice water leaking from the windows. "We need something from the windows," Brock says. "Maybe putty. That stuff we used to play with as kids. There is a whole bunch of it in the back," Ash J says. "That can work. Let's hurry!" Ash says. The students all race to seal the cracks from the windows. "We need some for the back doors," Rocky says. Sissi complains about the putty in her hair. "My hair!" She shrieks. "Sissi, right now, we need not drown!" Yumi says. "Fine! But you are not the boss!" "But," Moxie chimes in."It will come out of you don't fucking pay attention!" Sissi is about to crack the window. But, the gym's front door flies open, and water rushes into the gym and knocks Jim to the ground. "Oh my gosh, Jim!" Yumi shouts. "Quick, to the bleachers!" Brock shouts. The water levels rise as the anxiety increases. "We need to do CPR on Jim, quick," Moxie calls. "I hope they get to the bottom of this," Yumi says. Ash J looks at her.
Jack is on top of the car and gasps for air. "I need the evidence," he says as he presses the record button. As Jack records, the waves crash into him, and he loses consciousness. Both Odd and Allison lose their life points on the replica but can complete their missions. Aelita deactivates the replica tower as Dawn defeats the last Manta. "Dawn, you have five minutes left until the teleportation closes," Jeremy says. "Way to put the pressure!" Dawn says as she defeats the Manta. "Okay, time to destroy this motherfucker!" Dawn uses her Poi Sticks to destroy the supercomputer. "I'm bringing you back; then I will do an RTTP," Jeremy says.
The day restarts, and the courtyard is water-free. The Warriors regroup at the snack machine. "I'm glad Jim is okay," Aelita says. "Me too. Brock had to do CPR," Yumi says. "I mean, I was trained to be a Pokemon Doctor; I still have my tricks," Brock says. "Well, you saved his life," Dawn says as she gives Brock a quick peck on the cheek. "The best part was putting telling stories to each other. For example, your brother tells me that you two make singing videos," Ash says. Allison is glued to a newspaper. "A man named Jack Slate was found dead in his home. He died in his sleep, but he appears to have water in his lungs," Allison reads. Jeremy grabs the paper. "Hey," Allison shouts. "Shh. We'll talk after school," Jeremy says. Everyone looks at him. Later at the Hermitage, Jeremy speaks. "I remember looking at the news, and there was a lot of water damage there." "So?" Odd asks. "I think this Jack Slate might not have made it." Everyone looks at him. "But we did an RTTP," Ash says. "But it doesn't bring back the dead," Ulrich says. "So that means," Dawn says. "Nothing! We tried, but sometimes people outside of school... look, we have to move on," Yumi says. Allison looks at the group, and Jeremy holds her hands. "We went as fast as we could, and we beat the two-hour time frame we had. This is XANA's fault, not ours," Jeremy says to reassure Allison. "Okay," Allison says. Elsewhere, someone, a scientist, picks up Jack's phone, sees a video of the attack, and puts the phone in his pocket.
Whoa! XANA's attack cost a stranger his life. Plus, who picked up his phone. Also, will our heroes be able to get past the "Missed One?" Only time will tell.
