Attack of the Tiny Soldiers

Over the past few weeks, our heroes have dealt with their fair share of XANA attacks while juggling school life. Life has thrown in a few more curveballs when it seems they have things under control. "I forgot that the cheerleaders have to help with the "DJ Winter Mixer" here at Kadic," Dawn moans. "That sounds fun," Odd says. "Well, Allison can't help, so I have to work with Sissi alone." "Come on, maybe you can recruit Alice to help you," Ulrich says. "That is a great idea. I'll text her." "Wait, why can't Allison help?" Aelita asks. "Well, at the beginning of the year, Allison and Ash signed up to experiment with some first-year students. Now, Ms. Hertz picked them to do it today," Brock says. "That doesn't sound bad. What do they have to do?" Odd asks. "I'm guessing Ms. Hertz picked the experiment?" Ulrich teases. "Yep. So it is boring and a shit show," Brock says. "Alice said yes. I am going to meet her now. However, if an AI wants to attack, please let me know," Dawn says. The group laughs. "With your luck, we might get a day off," Aelita says. Over at the science building, Allison and Ash are prepping for their experiment. Or, should we say Ms. Hertz's shit show of a complicated assignment. "There is no way I am doing this," Ash stresses. "It's an organic compound experiment. It's easy for us, but there is no way a sixth grader is going to understand this," Allison says. Allison looks at her. "You mean easy for you. I didn't know it was an organic compound. I mean, just because it is pesticide-free, down;t make it easy." "No Ash, an organic compound
are chemical compounds that contain the carbon-hydrogen bond." Ash raises an eyebrow. "See! Like how the fuck was I supposed to know?" "It's okay. It is simple, and if nobody asks stupid ass question, we can get through this," Allison says. However, moments later, Ash's "cousins" arrive to greet the couple. "I heard that you two are going to lead us in an experiment," Lesteria says. "Yes. And?" Ash asks. "We will be good. Promise!" Leya says as she bats her eyes. "Sure. As long as you both uncross your fingers. We will believe you," Allison says. Lesteria snaps her fingers. "Shoot. I guess we have to behave." "Well, you also have Hiroki, Johnny, and their crew," Leya says. "Excuse me?" Allison asks. "Look, there they are. See you soon!" And off the twins went. Ash shakes his head. "We're doomed!"

Now, some clarifications are needed. Lesteria and Leya are not Ash's cousins. There are from the future. The future? The future. A few months ago in October, Lesteria came to this time period using a Space-Time Key that her mother, Allison, has. She came becasue an evil organization had taken over her hometown and had placed everyone in a coma—everyone except Lesteria, her twin sister Leya, and their older sister, Keisha. Lesteria took the key and traveled to the past to ask for her parents, Allison and Ash, to save her hometown. She knew to ask them becasue she heard stories of the many adventures her parents and their friends have gone on. There was a catch; she could tell them who she was. That meant she had to change her age. In the future, and thanks to the pandemic, young children will have a much greater cognitive development. So, Lesteria changed her age from two to five. That got messes, but it all worked out. Now, Lesteria and her twin sister Leya are in this time period to learn about an artifact that is a legend. However, it occurs in this time period, and it is happening now. But this time, to enroll at Kadic, they had to change their age from three to eleven. So they will be here for a while. So they were the twins who cheered Dawn up in the previous chapter. Wow, that was a mouth full. Over at the lab, Jeremy is testing a new program for the skid. "If my calculation is correct, Aelita should be able to crack any code to the replicas from the skid manually." While Jeremy is testing out the skid, Aelita stops by. "Hi, Jeremy." "Hi, Aelita." "Any luck?" "in a minute, we shall see," Jeremy says. Meanwhile, Sissi is barking orders to Dawn and Alice about the dance. "The center should have the disco ball. And the stage should have the DJ equipment!" "Fuck my life," Alice says. "Same," Dawn says. Brock, Odd, and Urich arrive to help."Three strong gentlemen, at your service," Odd announces. "I only see two, Odd. Where is the third?" Sissi teases. "Ha! Laugh it up!" Odd yells. "Come on, you can move these over there," Alice says. Meanwhile, Allison and Ash tried to get the experiment started, but the students purposefully hid materials and manipulated the substances. "Hey," Nick says. "You fixed everything too fast." "Listen, kid," Ash shouts. "Easy," Allison says in a calm voice. "if you want a difficult time here, be my guest. Or you can shove it and watch the experiment." The class is taken aback by this. "Or we revolt!" Hiroki says. "Sure. Then we can tell your sister, brother, grandmother, teacher, and parents that you all were jerks and get extra homework or lack video games. plus, since some of you live here, do you want to deal with us outside of school while we're in a bad mood!" Allison shouts. The class is quiet. "Now, let's get started. We will pass around a diamond. Which is not an organic compound but relates to the experiment," Ash says. All of the students touch the diamond. "Where are Lesteria and Leya?" Johnny asks. "They are talking to Ms. Hertz," Allison says. Moments later, the twins arrive and take their seats. "The program works. Now, you can crack the codes as well," Jeremy says. "Yes. I knew it. The data we got from the last replica worked to our advantage," Aelita says. She gave Jeremy a peck on the cheek, which caused Jeremy to blush. "Last time, our friends ambushed us," Jeremy says while laughing. Moments later, XANA activated a tower. "A tower!" Jeremy shouts. "In the Mountian Sector?" Aelita asks. "Yep. Call the others. Let's hope we can get to the tower before XANA attacks on Earth," Jeremy says. Aelita calls the party crew while Jeremy calls the science duo. "XANA? Okay. Sissi and Odd are at each other's throats," Brock says. "You dropped it on my foot on purpose," Sissi shouts. "No. You tripped me!" Odd shouts. Brock whispers to Dawn and Ulrich. "Okay," they say. "Look. Sissi, why don't Odd get you some ice from the nurse for your foot," Dawn says. "Excuse me!" Odd says. "Yeah, we can get ice from nurse since she got them from the factory!" Ulrich says. "Oh. Fine!" Odd says. "Good. You all need to make sure he comes back," Sissi says. They leave. "Sissi, I'll doubt they'll come back," Alice says. "Huh?" Sissi says, puzzled. "Hey, Jeremy," Ash says. "Hey, are you guys done yet? There is an activated tower," Jeremy says. "Not yet." Allison looks around and notices all of the students except the twins look angry. "What is wrong with everyone?" Lesteria asks. "Who is on the phone?" Allison asks. "Jeremy," Ash says. Allison looks around again. "Tell Jeremy that we will be later." "Why?" At that moment, all of the students rose in unison. "You know. Tiny soldiers seem a lot more chaotic than were realized. So we'll see you soon," Ash says. "Ash?" Jeremy calls. "Tiny soldiers?" "Maybe the students were possed by XANA," Aelita says. "That might be a problem," Jeremy says. Lesteria and Leya walk to the front. "What is wrong?" Leya asks. "Nothing. Go get Ms. Hertz," Ash says. "Why?" Lesteria asks. "Ash, we need to leave," Allison says. At that moment, the students were going to attack them. So, Allison and Ash grabbed the twins and were forced to jump out the window.

The sixth graders chased Allison, Ash, Lesteria, and Leya in the park. Ash was about to create a diversion to stir the group away. "What is happening?" Lesteria asks. "Look. Go back to your room. We'll be fine," Allison says. "No. What are our classmates attacking you and Ash? That is weird," Leya asks. "Over there," Hiroki shouts. "We need to run!" Ash says. "Go back to your rooms." "Not until you tell us what is going on," Lesteria asks. "Stubborn!" Ash says. "We get it from our father!" Ash growls. "Let's go," Allison says. On Lyoko, XANA has given the Warriors more than enough work. "Odd, Bloc at noon," Ulrich says. Odd climbs on a rock and shoots at a Bloc. Yumi uses her fans to block William from getting to Aelita. "This ends now, William," Yumi shouts as she flips to kick William's weapon out of his hands. "XANA will win," William says. "Energy Field!" Aelita calls as she defeats two Blocs. Brock and Dawn are each dealing with two Blocs. "At this rate, we will lose our life points," Dawn says. "I know. Let's hope Ash and Allison are handling it," Brock says. Ulrich uses his weapon to defeat two Blocs. "Jeremy, we are losing over here." "I know. I will try to call Allison. She and Ash have the munchkins on their tails as well," Jeremy says. Allison, Ash, and the twins are hiding in a tree. "Why are we in a tree?" Lesteria asks. "You know if you two went back to the dorms, you would be safer," Ash says. The sixth graders started to shake the tree. "Attack!" Allison says. They threw berries and pinecones at the students and began to run once they got down. At the maintenance hole, Dawn and Brock came out of it. "I see, they are still here," Dawn says. "They are," Ash says. "Well, your court is at your service," Brock says. "Jeremy said that you can leave the twins with him and head for the scanners." "What?" Leya asks. "No problem," Allison says. Once in the lab, the twins began to question Jeremy. "what is this? Have we never heard of this? Why is Jeremy talking to a screen?" They ask. "I can see why Ash and Allison were warning me," Jeremy says. On Lyoko, Allison takes out two Blocs. Aelita struggles to hop on moving stones to reach the tower. Odd loses his life points, but Ash defeats the Bloc instead. Dawn and Brock set up a prank with berries and bubbles in the park. "Are you sure?" Dawn asks. "Yeah. We can't beat them up. That is going to be weird. They're tiny, and we can't be the assholes who beat up first-year students," Brock says. Johnny springs the trap, and the sixth-graders are covered in fruit and soap, which creates a slippery and sticky trap. On Lyoko, Yumi worries about her brother. "Was my brother hurt?" "I mean, he is one of the possessed, but we did not hurt your brother," Ash says. "Yeah. Why would they? Two fourteen-year-olds beating up a bunch of sixth-graders would be brutal on their reps," Odd says. "Plus, they can't do that in front of the munchkins," Jeremy says. "Munchkins?" Lesteria asks. "that's what you call us?" Leya asks. Aelita is close to the tower as Hiroki and Nick throw a rock at Dawn and Brock. Brock has a bloody lip, and Dawn has blood dripping from her head. "Aelita, hurry!" Dawn shouts. Aelita enters Code: Lyoko and all of the sixth-graders pass out.

The twin asks more questions in the lab as Yumi tends to Brock and Dawn's wounds. "This place looks like the observatory back home," Lesteria says. "It does?" Yumi asks. "Yeah. Jeremy and Aelita built the one at home," Leya says. "I see. Nobody helped us," Aelita said smugly. "Our parents told us that you guys didn't want help becasue everyone would have been in the way." "That sounds more like it!" Ulrich says. "Okay. Now, let's do this day over," Jeremy says as he activates the RTTP. This time, the party crew has two more members, Aelita and Jeremy, who help with all of the technology for the dance, and thus, Sissi does not trip Odd. Back at the Science Building, Allison and Ash are experimenting outside with the students wearing goggles. "Why is there a Donphan here?" Hiroki asks. "Well, he brought us some supplies for our experiment," Ash says as he mixes the hydrogen-peroxide and dish soap. "I mean, I thought Ms. Hertz picked the experiment," Lesteria asks. "We talked to her and, she agreed to this," Allison says as she mixes the yeast and water. "So back to the Donphan?" Leya asks. "It has smelly breath," Johnny says. "We added something to make this usable for our Donphan," Ash says. "But since you all think he has smelly breath, which he doesn't. Why not make some," Allison says. "TOOTHPASTE!" Allison and Ash shout as they mix their materials to create a foam explosion. "Whoa!" The sixth-graders shout as they touch the foam and pet the Donphan.

What a day! Breaking the fourth wall for a minute, the author of this story works in a preschool, so she is attacked by tiny toddlers all the time. Back to the story, the sixth-graders had a field day, and the party was in full swing. But, what is this? William comes out of the scanners. He walks over to the factory floor and finds tools and a torch. "for XANA!" William says.
