A/N: Hello, my beautiful readers! If I haven't replied to your review for chapter 2, it's because I was busy procrastinating and preparing for my exam that's not-so-surprisingly today.

This is chapter 3. Go read. Give a lovely review, so when I come back from my exam, at least I get a mood lift from the review :)

3.

"Hey girls!" Julia chirped as she stood in front of a table of four girls. Elena just waved at them.

"Hi… Julia…" A blue-haired got up slowly with a not-so-sincere apologetic look on her face. "I don't think we can accommodate your nerdy friend here," She not-so-subtly pointed towards Elena.

Julia looked from Elena to the girl, "What's wrong with Elena, Ming Ming?"

"Nothing, except the fact that she crossed the line."

Elena's eyes narrowed at Ming Ming's words. She took a step forward, "And when did I do that, Ming Ming?" The blunette flinched at the cold tone Elena used to address her. Ming Ming looked like someone who could easily be scared.

"When you decided to get close to Kai Hiwatari." Ming Ming then turned to Julia, "You do know that Lucy had specifically made this known to everyone here that Kai is hers. And no one messes with her."

"Oh I didn't know you guys were also the followers of Lucy." Julia sneered at them and grabbed Elena, "I'm never leaving my best friend just 'cause some daddy's girl has issues. Let's go El." They walked away from the table.

"I'm sorry, Julia. I didn't intend to come between you and your friends."

Julia looked at her with an expression Elena couldn't put a name to. It was sympathetic but adoring. No one's ever looked at her like that. Except maybe her mother, but she didn't remember much of it obviously. "Oh babe, it's not your fault. To be honest, I never liked that group of girls anyway. They're the wannabes."

Elena nodded, "Okay". She looked around and found them a table at the corner of the room.

"Who's Lucy, by the way?" Elena bit into her chicken sandwich. Or something that was just labelled chicken. It tasted so not chicken.

"Look over there," Julia pointed towards the table in the middle of the room. "The pink haired is Lucy Rexene. Her father is the mayor of the town, been for 10 years now, so everyone does what she wants."

Elena's eyes widened as she recognised her from earlier. "Jules, she's the one who poured the chemical on my shirt."

"And apparently she's the one who pushed you a few minutes ago." Both the girls looked up to see Kai and Tala sitting in front of them, Tala being the one who spoke. "Hello ladies." He flirtatiously winked at Julia.

"God, why are you everywhere today?" Julia exclaimed exasperatedly. "Don't you have you soccer team to sit with?"

"Sorry, we saw you guys sitting here alone. So,"

"Its okay, Kai. You can definitely be here. It this carrot-head who's being a stalker." Julia pointed her fork at Tala who looked quite offended. Elena snickered behind her hand.

She looked towards the centre table, at Lucy laughing with her friends. Elena was in Lucy's position back in Germany too, with her family of rich moguls and what not. But she came to America for a change of scenery, not be down played by the school's popular kids.

"Ugh, this slushy is the worst." Tala scrunched his nose at the orange shake in his hand. Julia laughed at his misery,

"Your charm can't buy you good taste; can it now?"

"I got good taste in girls though." He winked at her, and Julia rolled her eyes.

Kai ignored the two, and looked at Elena who giving Lucy the stink eye, "Why are you looking at Lucy like that?"

"Oh you'll see." She flashed him a dangerous smirk, and then turned to Tala, "You wanna throw the slushy?"

"Uh, yeah," Tala nodded despite the confusion.

"I'll do it." Without letting the redhead respond, she grabbed the plastic cup out of his hand and starting walking towards the table in the middle of the room.

Her friends, as well as some other students, looked at her curiously as she stopped behind Lucy. Elena smirked once again.

What happened next was too quick for anyone to comprehend, especially Lucy. Elena opened the lid of the slushy cup and without a second thought, poured the sticky cold liquid over the oblivious girl.

"AAHHH!" Lucy stood up immediately, trying to remove the sticky liquid from hair and clothes. "You…" She glared at Elena, looking ready to pounce at her.

"Oops, clumsy me." Elena repeated Lucy's words from before with an unapologetic face. Not waiting for a reaction, she walked out of the room.

Elena groaned as Julia dragged her out of Nellie's Books. "Today isn't the day to become nerdy, El."

"So what is today, drag-Elena-around-until-her-legs-fall-out Day?" She bit back sassily.

Julia rolled her eyes, "Alright, just this once. I'm in dire need of some Forever 21. Since you missed my last birthday, you're gifting me from there."

"I did send your gift." Elena deadpanned at her friend's excuse.

"Does it look like I care?" The German sighed in exasperation, seeing Julia mindlessly sashay away, mumbling something along the lines of "perks of having a rich bestie".

"I swear Jules; this should be the last store." Elena said, catching up to the excited brunette.

"Okay!" Julia perked up while browsing through the racks of denim pants. She took out a totally tattered in the front pant, the full clothing on the back.

"Hot, but wax demanding." Elena pointed out.

Julia shrugged and hung it on her arm, "I'll do a chocolate wax just to wear these bombs."

Elena shook her head and was about to say something when she notice something. Or better say someones.

"Jules…" She shook Julia's arms, grabbing her attention from cropped hoodies.

"What?" Elena pointed towards the two crouching figures barely hidden behind the rows of flannel shirts. "Aren't they…?" Julia said, as she squinted to look closely.

"Let's find out." Elena motioned Julia to follow her.

The two girls walked towards them. Julia patted their backs to gain their attention. The boys, startled, stood up so quickly that one of them hit his head from the hanging bar.

"Ow…" Kai muttered as he rubbed the spot. Elena giggled at that and Julia looked at her in shock.

'What?' Elena asked her. They had known each for long enough to communicate with their eyes.

Julia just smirked in reply. Elena rolled her eyes, not bothering with whatever her best friend was thinking. Knowing her, she had properly some cooked up theory that Elena will definitely face later.

"What are you guys doing?" Elena did find the two boys quite weird, but she didn't peg them to sneak around shops.

Tala quickly grabbed both of them, dragging them to crouch with him and Kai. "Someone here decided to come to the mall after modelling for a super famous brand." He narrowed his eyes at Kai.

Kai sighed exasperatedly and explained to the confused girls, "I modelled for this year's autumn clothing line of Hiwatari's."

"Why would you model for Hiwatari's? Are you a teen model?" Elena looked at him with confusion.

"No. He's just a doting son who just had to go on show off him amazing features on the front cover of teen mags." Tala grumbled.

"Stop being grumpy." Kai reprimanded.

"I'm sorry but I came to the mall to eat some nachos, waste time, like a normal teenager." The redhead bit back with heavy sarcasm, "But what I get is a dozen of your screaming fans. I think my ears are still ringing from their shrieks."

Elena gave him a bemused look as Tala tried to rub the sound out of his ear. Then she turned to Kai, "So you're saying that the next time I come to shop at Hiwatari's, I'll see your face plastered all over?" Elena gave him a bemused look.

"No, you'll see his face plastered all over Seattle tomorrow." Tala rolled his eyes dramatically.

"Okay…" Elena sat down comfortably, "What are we gonna do now?"

"Yeah, I can't sit properly here." Julia shifted her leg underneath her, trying to find a comfortable position without having any wardrobe malfunction due to her skirt.

"We need to transfer Mr Model here to his car without his fans noticing him." Tala informed them.

Kai, who was scrolling through his twitter feed at the moment, spoke "They call themselves KFC."

"What?!" The other three looked at him weirdly. Why was he even on his phone at this moment?

He looked up at the confused faces and then showed them his phone, "KFC, short for Kai's Fan Club."

And the three instantly started laughing.

"OMFG!" Julia breathed, sobering up a bit.

"And probably you're their chicken legs!" Tala snickered at the glaring boy.

"Stop laughing, you doofuses, and find a way to get me outta here."

"Alright diva, I've got an idea." Elena patted the apparently annoyed Kai.

"This is the dumbest idea ever." Kai muttered and pulled his hood down.

"I didn't see any idea coming from you, smartass." Elena snapped, as the duo walked past the horde of girls searching for the overnight model.

"Whatever. I don't see this hoodie hiding my face."

"Well, if you keep being such a pessimi- Kiss me!" She said abruptly. This was the most impulsive decision she has taken so far; moving to halfway across the country sounded much logical at that moment.

"Wha-?" Kai looked at her in bewilderment. Elena didn't blame him. It was quite an abrupt demand.

"Some of your fans are looking suspiciously at us," She grabbed his jaw when he tried to turn around to look at them. "Don't turn." Elena hissed at him.

"But why do you want to kiss me?" He hissed back at her. 'Because you're so hot, duh!' Elena thought.

"PDA makes people uncomfortable. They'll stop looking this way if we kissed."

"And how do you know it would work?" He raised a perfectly slanted eyebrow at her. Gods, everything was perfect about him.

"Haven't you watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier?" Saying this, she quickly kissed him square on his mouth.

Kai froze at the bold movement and couldn't comprehend anything until she started to pull back. Thinking on his feet, literally, he grabbed her head and pulled her into another kiss. Easily lost in each other's lips, they somehow forgot that this was just an act.

Elena gasped as Kai pulled back slowly, "Whoa," She looked dazedly at the smirking Kai.

"Was that enough to make them uncomfortable?" He asked smugly. He was one cocky bastard, Elena concluded.

"Huh?" She looked past his shoulder and saw the girls already walking away, "Yeah, let's go."

"Stop bugging me!" Elena shouted in frustration, and slumped on the blue couch in the living room.

"Well, sue me for being curious." Julia bit back sarcastically.

"Whoa, girls!" Riley entered the room and sat beside Elena, "What caused the drift in your friendship river?" They shook her head as Riley started snickering at her own pun.

"She kissed a guy!" Julia pointed an accusing finger at Elena.

"So…? Why's that got you worked up?" Riley popped a handful of popcorn into her mouth. "Wait; is that guy your boyfriend or something?" The brunette asked, grinning.

"No!" Julia groaned and sat on the other side of Riley, "The thing is that she's going on about 'not liking' him."

"Because I don't." Elena reasoned.

"Then why'd you kiss him, Elena?" Riley asked her.

"Well, I had to make his fans look away, so he could get out of there."

"But from my point of view, it seemed way more than just a distraction. You were ravishing his lips. It was disgusting." Julia teased her.

"I don't care whatever you think, I don't have any feelings for him." Elena had just met the guy, she couldn't believe Julia thought she would fall for someone in a day. Elena would admit that Kai's a fine looking guy, but that was just physical attraction. There was nothing emotional between them.

"Okay, we get it." Riley calmed down both of them. "Troy's at her parents', and I don't have any plans for tonight. So, let's watch a rom-com."

"Why can't we go to Miranda's party?" Tala asked while stuffing his face with a chilli hamburger.

"My brother's coming home." Kai had his eyes trained on his laptop, trying to finish his history essay.

"And?" Tala urged.

"My folks are out of town. Someone has to be here when he comes." Kai rubbed his eyes' corner as they started to stretch from the screen radiation.

"I don't get it. He lives just a couple blocks away. Why-"

Ding Dong

"Just eat your damn burger." Kai pushed the electronic off his lap onto the coffee table and ran up the stairs to get to the entrance.

"Hey lil' bro!" Kai received the said greeting the moment his butler opened the door.

"Hi, Troy."

A/N: Didn't see that coming, did ya? Okay first of all, let's clear the doubt that might be bubbling in your heads:

-Yes, I made Kai a temporary model. 'Coz how else was I gonna say he's insanely famous by just being a rich businessman's son? I couldn't. Yeah, he was popular in school but that's it. High School popularity remains in high school. And there's no way he could have a group of fangirls, as written in the previous version.
