A/N: I know what Darude is, it's the band that made the song Sandstorm. It's a very good song ^_^ I also know what 'hard knocks' refers to. My character is uneducated though. But I in real life know these things. Just an fyi :)

Chapter 2

I slept very well that night, or, so I thought was one. It actually turned out to be two, according to Sparklez.

"What?!"

"Yeah, you must have really been exhausted."

I thought about it. "I mean, this bed is nice... I never slept in a bed. I only slept on cave floors. Maybe I slept for two nights because I was too comfy for the first time in my life."

"So you've lived a life of hard knocks, huh?"

"Am I supposed to know what that means?"

He sighed, "Never mind."

"You have a strange way of speaking..."

"JORDAN!" We both startle and look to the elevator.

"Zombie! ~takes out Ianite sword~~ Get behind me Sparky, I got him!"

"Whoa whoa whoa! Lucky, chill. He's friendly... for the most part. He's not a normal zombie."

I take a closer look. He's wearing a tux! "What kinda zombie wears a tux?"

"The kind that can kick your bum if you're not careful.", the zombie retorted.

I raise an eyebrow and scoff. "Oh yeah? You can't top this sword zombie boy. This is Ianite's sword. This is stuff of legends. I have been tasked with keeping it close to me, always keeping watch over it. I'm gladly watching over it, for her, for my lady."

"New kid, do you like Ianite?", zombie asked.

"That's exactly what I asked her two days ago. She denied it. I think she does.", Sparky said.

I blush lightly and glare at the both of them. "I said that she's pretty cool and that's what I'm sticking with. There's nothing more than that.", I vehemently argue.

"Sure. Whatever you say.", the both of them said. I continued to glare at them.

"Lucky, this is Tom. Tom, this is Lucky Fire."

"So this is Tom. You didn't tell me he was a zombie..."

"Sorry... I really should've. Good thing I stopped you from completely owning him when he came up."

I grinned, "I would have too. I may have been a traveller, but I can fight, especially with this sword. Wait, 'Jordan'?" I looked at Sparky.

"Yeah, that's another name I go by. I go by many names. Many, many names...", he said the last sentence wearily.

"Hmm... well, I'm calling you Sparky. Ever been called that one before?"

"Not to my memory, no."

"Then this is a new name. Sorry, but it's easier."

"Hey, I like it, so feel free."

"Good."

"Great new name, but Jordan, there's something fishy going on. You come too Lucky. This might need all 4 of us." We followed him to his island. There were two others there.

"There's 5... who is the fifth?"

"The caveman's Karl and the 5th guy with no eyes is Dec, the priest. He'll be leading us to our destination. You, me, Tom, and Karl will be the main people in this.", Sparky explained.

"Hmm... ok. I'm interested."

"Who's the new girl?", Karl asked.

"Lucky Fire. Get used to me, because I'm not leaving anytime soon."

"Darude much?"

"Ok, what is up with this word, 'darude'?"

"It's an inside joke, one that will never become clear to you apparently.", Karl said.

"Hmph, whatever. Let's just get on with this mission."

"Ok, here's the mission: there's an unusually high concentrated amount of zombies in a certain area. You need to clear them all and find out what this place is.", Dec said.

"Ok, we got briefed on the mission, let's go. Show us the way Priest.", I said.

"Eager, are we? Right then, follow me." Tom got in the boat with Dec, Karl got in a boat, then that left Sparky and me.

"I'm going by myself. Catch a ride with the caveman. I don't like being too close to other people."

"Suit yourself." Sparky got in Karl's boat and I got in one of my own. We all followed the Priest to another island far away. As we approached, this island seems... familiar...

"This island... I don't know why, but it seems familiar to me...", I mentioned out loud.

"Hmm, maybe this is where you came from?", Sparky speculated.

"Maybe... I don't have any memories of my early life, other than the world hates me and dealt me the worst hand it could. The earliest memory I have is when I was 13. I just found myself alone out of nowhere, I immediately ran away and that's when I became the traveller I've become."

"Whoa, that's rough.", the guys all said.

"Yeah, well, I've survived this long. I'm a survivor. But 16 years of travelling and seeing the world, heck, I've seen a lot of the world. I guess that's one good thing about this. I got to see the world, and I will still see the world when I leave."

"When will you leave?", Sparky asked.

"Dunno. I'll stick around a bit. Maybe a month. Normally I don't stay that long in one place, usually I stay a couple days, but I'm a bit interested in this area."

We got off the boats except for Dec and went forward onto the island. Yeah... a little bit of a zombie apocalypse here. Mostly zombie villagers, with the exception of a few being normal zombies... weird. Oh well, I bring out my Ianite sword anyway.

"Let's get these fools.", I said.

"You're brave.", Karl said.

"Yeah, I've dealt with many monsters in my time as traveller. I ain't scared of no monsters. Bring 'em on!" That exclamation caught the attention of the zombies. "Oops..."

"Nice one Fire, you brought their attention to us...", Tom said.

"Well I didn't mean to..." I sliced through a zombie as it got closer. I two hit it. Whoa, this sword it nuts. I like it. I grinned. I went forward into the fray, this sword has gotten me confident.

"Lucky, what are you doing?!", Sparky asked, slicing through another.

"I can do this, this sword is amazing. I wanna demolish these zombies."

"Just be careful, we don't need someone demonetizing on this mission."

"I'm always careful." I sliced through yet another. We all just went through all these zombies, of course we got hurt, there were too many, but we still beat all of them. I actually had a blast. We went further but this time quietly. I'm really tense. I don't know what we're going to find and I don't like it. We finally approached some houses.

"Whoa, this was a village?", Tom asked.

"I guess so. Hey Lucky, maybe you did come from here. You said this island felt familiar and this island has a village.", Karl said. I make my way to the front of the guys and looked at the village. I explored all the houses, then the 7th one, there are 10 houses, I swear it looks familiar. As soon as I go upstairs and into one of the rooms, it hits me. I remember, no wonder why this island is familiar. Sparky and Karl were right. This is where I came from.

"Guys... this is my childhood home... this was my room."

"Whoa. So, you remember everything now?", Sparky asked.

"Yes... it's very tragic. We weren't really prepared for anything bad. Our village has never gotten attacked before, so everyone just got lulled into a false sense of security and never bothered to put any precautions up or into place to prevent any bad things happening. The zombies we just bulldozed through must have been mostly the villagers. My parents, brother, and sister must have been in there. ~sighs~ It's whatever, there's nothing we could have done. It is what it is. Now I really am alone in the world. Whatever. I don't need anyone.

"Ok, listen Sparky, I'm not sticking around. This revelation of my life is making me need to go off by myself to think. Thank you for saving me, for giving me a place to stay while I recover from getting dazed by my fall into the ocean, and for introducing me to everyone. Everyone's been nice so far, well, with some minor teasing, but hey, my dad used to tease sometimes, so I know you guys are friendly. It was really nice meeting Ianite, but I just need to be on my own. ~gives Sparky the Sword of Ianite~ Take it, keep it close, protect it with your life, just as I would do. Make sure it's safe. May I take one of the boats? I rode on my own here, so I know you won't be lacking for one."

"Sure, you may take one. Will you come visit us at least, whenever you feel up to it?", Sparky asked.

"Maybe. Don't be surprised if you never see me again though. Or we could bump into each other on one of your missions later down the line. Who knows, but I'm off. I may see you, I may not." I give the smallest of waves and go to the opposite of where we came, then place a boat on the water, board it, and I'm off into the distance.

~Sparky's POV~

We watch her leave for a bit, a little sad for her. I mean, she just found out she lost her village and her family, and then to find out they were a significant part of the zombies we, as she put it, bulldozed through. Yeah, if that happened to me, I'd probably need some time alone to think too. We then go back to Dec.

"Where's Lucky?" We explained everything that just happened. "Wow, that really sucks. I feel bad for her."

"Yeah, hopefully we'll see her again.", I said. Everyone else agreed, then we went back to our islands, our mission having been completed.

A/N: I know there's a way to make villagers come back to being villagers. I have done so myself, my character just didn't give them time to explain that there was a way they could have saved them if they didn't just demolish them all right away.
