A boy with red hair and glasses looks for firewood for his family. "Don't go too far," the boy's father said. "I won't." The boy gathers wood with his Pokemon partner, Squirtle. "Squirtle!" "Let's go." The boy's mother calls him on the phone. "Hi, Patate Douce. Do you need me to send your eldest sister? You haven't come back yet." "No, mommy. I'll be fine. I have Squirtle." The boy and his family are on vacation in a cabin by the lake, and the boy looks at the stream nearby. "Sometimes, I feel like I am the invisible child. My older siblings are the brightest, and my younger siblings are the cutest." Squirtle snuggles next to his trainer. "Squirtle." "Thanks." The boy and Squirtle walk back to the cabin when they see something. "What is that?" The pair follow the mysterious creature to a waterfall. "Look, it is a shiny Celebi," The boy exclaims. The pair tries to get close to the Pokemon when Squirtle steps on a twig. Crunch! The shiny Celebi turns around and spots the pair. "Run!" The boy says. The pair runs but Celebi chases them. Celebi uses Magical Leaf to block the path of the pair. "Squirtle!" "We can't attack the Guardian of the Forest," the boy said. The shiny Celebi flies over to the pair and touches them. Plop! "Ouch! What happened?" They look around and notice students running around with their Pokemon. "How did I end up at school?" The boy looks closer at the school and notices the date. "That can't be right. According to the date, it looks like I am in the past." The boy hides behind some trees and listens. "For a week, we are getting exchange students and fresh meat to date," Nicholas says. "Such a pig," Herve said. "Nicholas and Herve? Wait, my parents went to this school. Maybe they can help me get back to my time period," the boy said.

"Cut!" Albert Biker shouts. "We need to roll it again!" His assistant, Clark Slint, walks by. "You heard him; make it work!" The cast and crew get back the work. Meanwhile, the Lyoko Warriors wait on a hillside as the film finishes. "Wait, did I get that time wrong?" Allison asks. "No. I can see that they are behind schedule," Jeremy says. "Great. Now we have time to go over the plan. Which is?" Odd asks. "My father sent Jeremy a delayed message sometime before he lost his life on Lyoko. the message was about locating some lost files from Project Carthage," Aelita says. "What is that again?" Dawn asks. "It was a project described to create a weapon of mass destruction, a system designed to "disrupt enemy communications," Yumi says. "Franz Hopper realized it was dangerous and wanted to destroy it. When he couldn't, he left," Ulrich says. "With Aelita's mother, Anthea?" Brock asks. "Yes. Years later, the Men In Black (not the ones in the movie) came and took Anthea." "I'm not sure, but I think the goal was to lure my father, but everything was so fast and traumatic. I don't even remember it," Aelita says. Allison hugs Aelita and speaks to her. "It's okay. You don't have to talk about it." "Thanks." "Anyway, Franz Hopper wanted us to retrieve the files and keep them safe," Jeremy says. "Why not destroy it?" Odd asks. "Becasue, I haven't heard anything about Project Catharage or Green Hornet (not the superhero) being canceled. So, they may still be out there. So, we need the files to end it all," Ash says. "So XANA is not dealt with?" "XANA is dead, but everything surrounding it is not. But, all we have to do is get the files and make sure that it is out of sight from anyone," Jeremy says. Moments later, a crew member starts to move equipment up the hill, the group hides. "Okay, we are clearing out for the day," Clark shouts. After the film crew leaves, the Lyoko Warriors get to work. They dig around the area for about two hours and find nothing. "Are you sure it is here?" Brock asks. "Hopper said that the flies are in a box around here," Jeremy said. Clank! "I hit something," Yumi says. She lifts it and opens it. "It's a box with a note." My flies are located in my home lab. The secret is to find the right box. "What the fuck?" Odd exclaims. "I guess if someone else finds the files, he left a note instead," Ash says. "Is the home office at the Hermitage?" Allison asks. "Yeah. But we have to get back to school. Maybe we can regroup in a few days," Ulrich says. The group leaves, and Albert looks on. "Why were those kids digging around?" "Maybe they were looking for the files," Clark says. "No way, none of them were born." "However, one of them looks like Anthea Hopper Blake." "Right, the MIB took her as a hostage so her husband can turn himself over. But Waldo left like a little girl. I guess they had a child, but who knows. We should watch them." Albert chuckles.

The next morning, the boy wakes up in a single dorm room. He looks at his Poke Ball and sighs. He remembers pretending to be an exchange student to be enrolled here for the week. "Gerald Patata Douce, you have to survive with people from the past. No pressure!" Gerald looks in the closet and finds toiletries for him. He goes to the shower and hears Odd and Ulrich talking. "You know, I have so much free time; I scored two dates today," Odd says. "Be careful, good buddy. You don't have Lyoko to hide this time," Ulrich says. "Ha, ha. I could say the same for you about Yumi." Ulrich places Odd in a headlock as Ash, Brock, and Jeremy enter. "It feels good to sleep," Jeremy says. "You do sleep," Brock teases. "Ha, I'll remember that," Jeremy says. "Jeremy slept so well, I had to wake him," Ash says. "By body slamming me," Jeremy says. The boys laugh. Gerald walks out and bumps into Jeremy. "Excuse me," Jeremy says. Gerald is timid of the older students. Some boys threw his Poke Ball in a used toilet the night before. "I'm sorry!" Gerald said with his head down. "No need. I'm Jeremy." Gerald looks up and sees that Jeremy is nice. "Thank you," and he runs off. "Weird!" Jeremy says. Later in the morning, Gerald walks to the Principal's office and waits for his guide. "Hello," Allison says. Gerald turns around and hides. "It's okay. I heard that some boys were assholes to you. I don't bite." "Okay," Gerald says. As they walk around, Gerald points out some buildings. "Your parents went here. That's amazing," Allison says. "Yeah. Sometimes I feel like I am second fiddle to my parents' expectations," Gerald says. "Yeah, we all do. I can introduce you to some of my friends before bringing you to your class." "Sure." Allison introduces Gerald to Dawn, Yumi, and Aelita. Gerald is in awe when he sees the girls. "Nice to meet you," they tell him. "Thank you," Gerald said as he hugged his backpack. "Hey, it's okay. Being in a new place is hard," Aelita says as she places her hand on Gerald's shoulder. Gerald blushes. "Sure. Okay! Can I get to class?" "Sure. Let's go," Allison says. The two go off as the girls talk. "Gerald's nice," Yumi says. "He looks familiar," Dawn says. "He is so sweet," Aelita says. "Who is?" Jeremy asks. "Gerald. the exchange student Allison is giving a tour to." "I meet him in the showers. He seems nice but started on the wrong foot." "Yeah. I would like to meet the punks who did that to him," Odd says. "Me too. It was gross," Ulrich says. "I might check on him later," Jeremy says. "Me too," Aelita says. "He seems to like Aelita, so it might be a good idea to check on him," Dawn says. "When Allison gets back, we should head for class. We all had time to study for Ms. Hertz's quiz," Ash says. "What!" I'm Lesteria, and this is my older twin, Leya," Lesteria says. "Gerald." "Cool. Our older cousin has a baby and plans to name him Gerald," Leya said. Gerald nods. Gerald flinches when he sees Hiroki and Johnny as the three walks to class. "Hey. You're Gerald?" Hiroki asks. "Yeah," Gerald answers nervously. "Cool. I'm Hiroki and this Johnny." Gerald looks at the boys and nods. They take their seats. "Hiroki? I guess he was a normal kid. Johnny? Whoa! In the flesh!" Gerald thinks.

For the past few days, Gerald has adjusted to life at Kadic. During his free time, he looks for the Shiny Celebi. "I want to go home!" Gerald cries. Odd finds him and tries to speak to him. "Hey, do you need to talk?" "No!" Gerald screams and runs off. "Hey!" Odd says as he chases after him. "Squirtle," Gerald shouts. "Use Water Gun!" "Not so fast. Houndoom, use Flamethrower," Odd shouts. The two moves create smoke, but Gerald and Houndoom leave. Clark is nearby and witnesses this. "That redhead is looking for a shiny Celebi. That might be a handle tool!" Clark calls Albert. "I found out that a student at Kadic Academy is from a different time period." "The pink hair girl?" Albert asks. "Nope. A redhead boy. He was looking for a shiny Celebi to take him home. Once Celebi realizes that the boy needs to go home, it will look for him. We can use it to go back in time and take over Project Catharage." "If our plan doesn't work. Celebi is Plan B," Albert says with a smile. At the Library, Gerald calls Squirtle to his Poke Ball and looks for Jeremy and Aelita. "I feel safe with them. He sees them, but a group of tenth grades blocks him. "How was fishing?" Mike asks. "Leave me alone," Gerald says. "Want to cry? We heard you," Louis says. "Screw you," Gerald says. The boys picked him up but felt shocked. "Plusle, Thunder," Aelita says. Plusle shocks the boys, and they drop Gerald. "Thanks, return," Aelita says. "Plusle!" Jeremy helps Gerald. "Thanks," Gerald says. "You're welcome," Jeremy says. "Are those the losers that pranked you?" "Yeah." "Don't listen to them. They're assholes," Aelita says. "Thanks. I was too scared to use my Squirtle," Gerald says. "Is Squirtle your first Pokemon?" "Yeah. My mom has a Blastoise, so I wanted a Squirtle." "Cool. As you saw, I have only a Plusle. I would love to catch another Pokemon." Gerald looks at Aelita confusedly. "And I have two Pokemon, but I only have my Minun. My other Pokemon, well, needs special training," Jeremy says. Gerald nods. "My dad told me that he and his Dragonite had to work together on a special challenge to bond. Maybe your Pokemon will bond with you soon." Jeremy thinks, "Sure, my Dragonite will take over instead of me being a trainer." Throughout the day, Gerald gets overwhelmed by the scenery at Kadic and will often seek out Aelita and Jeremy. As night fell, he looked for them but ran into Dawn and Allison. "Excuse me, have you seen Aelita and Jeremy?" "They are in their rooms doing homework. You might catch them before bed. Can we help you?" Dawn asks. "No." "Are you sure? We heard that the bullies were bothering you at the Library," Allison says. "Who told you?!" Gerald screams. "Whoa. Temper. Aelita told us," Dawn says. Gerald calms down. "Sorry!" Moments later, the others, minus Jeremy and Aelita, walk by. "Gerald, can I talk to you?" Odd asks. Gerald tries to leave, but Odd grabs him. "Why did you attack me?" "Let me go," Gerald says. "You attacked Odd; why?" Yumi asks. "I want to go back to my room, please?" "Gerald. I want to know. I'm sorry if I was too bold for you earlier, but I wanted to check on you," Odd says. "No!" Gerald says. Boom! Two Mienshao uses Mega Punch on a tree. "What the fuck?" Ulrich shouts. One of the Pokemon charges at Gerald, but Yumi calls out her Hitmontop. "Use Triple Kick," Yumi shouts. Hitmontop uses it on one Mienshao. The other one uses Force Palm on some of the others. Then it starts to walk towards Gerald, who is too timid to call out Squirtle. Ulrich gets up. "Gardevior, use Moon Blast," he commands. Moon Blast knocks Mienshao down. "Whoa!" Gerald says. "Yep. Gardevior has the type advantage," Ulrich says. "And Hitmontop is also a fighting type," Yumi says. Gerald nods. "Both Mienshao uses Drain Punch. "Use, Agility," Yumi commands. "Use, Double Team," Ulrich commands. "Why don't they fight head-on. They both have the upper hand?" Gerald asks. "Because, sometimes the best defense of the best offense," Ash says. Gerald looks confused but is shocked when both Miensnhaos are tired. "Can't keep up?" Ulrich mocks. "I guess not," Yumi says. "Look carefully," Brock says to Gerald. "Hitmontop, use Counter!" Yumi says. "Gardevior, use Draining Kiss," Ulrich says. Draining Kiss sucks whatever energy the Mienshaos had left, and Counter sends them flying. "Goodbye!" Yumi shouts. "Don't come back," Ulrich says. "That was great!" Allison says. "Thanks," Yumi says. Ash looks around and notices that Gerald has left. "Where did he go?" "Maybe since the danger was gone, he went back to the dorms," Odd asks. "It was weird that the Pokemon went after him," Dawn asks. "The weakest link?" "Maybe. We can check on him tomorrow," Allison says. Later, Clark curses. "Those motherfuckers. I thought Pokemon wasn't allowed on campus." "I think the rule is they have to stay in their Poke Balls," Albert says. "Worry not. Tomorrow, we will try and film in the Hermitage, the last know home of Waldo. He changed his name to Franz Hopper and moved there. the files might be there."

The next day, Albert and Clark visited Kadic Academy. "The directors of Remember Me 2!" The students cheer. "Can I be in the movie?" A student asks. "I want to be an extra?" Another asks. "We might be able to do something. But we need to ask you something," Albert says. Ash and Brock were drinking pineapple juice and talking about last night and this morning. "It's a good thing there were cameras, or Mr. Delmas wouldn't have believed us," Ash says. "Right. I mean, I still have a bruise on my stomach," Brock says. Albert walks up to the group. "Hello." "Whoa, you're directing the movie Remember Me 2," Ash says. "I am. I want to ask the students a question about the area since they are familiar with it." "The Lookout Point is a great place for love scenes," Brock says. "Thanks. I am asking about The Hermitage ." Ash and Brock grip their cups, and Alberts notices. "What are students saying about that?" Ash asks. "That it is an abandoned house." "Right. the floors are old, and the spiders bite a lot," Brock says. "Sure-spiders?" Albert asks. "Yeah. Large spiders. The floor also caves in. A death trap," Ash said. Albert nods. "Thanks." Ash and Brock gulp. Alberts walks over to Allison and Dawn and asks the same question, and the girls take a deep breath. At the vending machine, Delta Company talks about Albert. "He asks as well. Why is he focusing on the Hermitage?" Yumi asks. "I wonder if he saw us the other day on the hillside," Odd says. "Well, he might think we were fans," Ulrich asks. "Not really. I think we need to set a trap at the Hermitage so they won't film there. He was too eager. Also, we can't look for the files if the film crew is there," Jeremy says. "What files?" William asks. The group is quiet. "Hey, the director Albert Biker was asking about the Hermitage to everyone." "No." William and Ulrich have a standoff. Dawn notices that Clark Slint has two Mienshaos. "Look what he has." "Were those the Pokemon from last night?" Jeremy asks. "Yeah," Brock says. "They went after Gerald." "I see." "Gerald, the exchange student?" William asks. "Nothing. We have to go to class!" Jeremy says. William stops the group. "Hey. You can trust me. I made sure I told students to make the Hermitage a dull place. What the hell is going on?" "Look, we don't know. But if we need you, we'll call," Odd says. The group leaves, and William fumes. After class, Hiroki and Johnny ask Leya and Lesteria if they want to go to the Hermitage. "No. I heard that the romance film crew might be there," Leya says. "Yeah. We will get a backstage pass to the film," Johnny says. "Then we should invite be careful," Lesteria says. "I would say invite Gerald, but he is studying," Johnny says. "We can call him in a few minutes," Lesteria says. William listens. "I might need to spy on them," William says.

Later in the day, Gerald walks down the dormitory hallway and looks for Jeremy or Aelita. "I feel close to home when I am around them. I do hope the shiny Celebi finds me. I miss my mom and dad and my siblings." Allison was about to open her door when she overheard Gerald. "Poor kid misses his family. Wait, Celebi? Is he not from this time period?" Later, Gerald knocks on Ulrich and Odd's door and finds the whole group there. "Hey, come in," Odd says. Gerald sits on the bed. "Dog food?" "Yeah. I have a dog. Don't tell anyone." "Where is he?" "My brother and his friends have him. Kiwi needed to get out for a while," Yumi says. Hiroki, Johnny, Leya, and Lesteria play with Kiwi in the Hermitage. "I guess they aren't here. Oh, well, we can still play catch with Kiwi," Lesteria says. "Hello, bitches," Clark shouts. "That is mean!" Johnny says. "Looks like we need bait!" Excuse me!" Hiroki says. Clark leaves, and Albert walks in with his Malamar. "Let's play! Malamar, use Wrap!" Wrap grabs the children and Kiwi. Hiroki manages to call Oshawott. "Oshawott, use Razor Shell!" Razor Shell breaks the Wrap. "Little boy, here's a move: Use, Payback!" "Use, Fury Cutter." Fury Cutter is no match for Payback as Oshawott is sent flying. "As I was saying!" Albert states as the children gulp in fear. Jeremy looks at his computer, "All of the movie locations are related to places involving Project Carthage." "Now, they want the Hermitage. They want something," Aelita says. "How do you feel?" Odd asks. Gerald ignores him. "Gerald, Odd asked you a question," Dawn says. Gerald ignores them. "Listen. I understand that Aelita and Jeremy are your safe buddies, but we saved your life," Urich said. "Thank you," Gerald said. "We found something about Project Carthage," Jeremy says but notices Gerald is there. Gerald shrugs his shoulders. "You're not asking questions." "No. I heard about it before." "From where?" Gerald realizes he should have given a different answer. "What do you know about it?" Brock asks. Gerald hugged himself tightly. Back at the Hermitage, Oshawott is hurt as Albert laughs. "Use, Psybeam," William commands his Orbeetle. Malamar takes a hit. "Stay back," William says. "My sister picked Ulrich," Hiroki said. William sighs. "This is asking for trouble." "Trouble, Use Night Slash!" Albert says. "Psybeam!" William commands. The two moves are neck and neck. "Orbeetle, use Confuse Ray," William commands. Confuse Ray makes a direct hit, but Malamar is fine. "What! It was a direct hit," Johnny says. "Look, it used Light Screen. The Confuse Ray didn't work!" Leya shouts. "Right, little bitches!" Albert shouts. "Use Psycho Cut, Malamar!" "Coming from a psycho, that seems fitting!" Lesteria says. "I don't know anything. I heard my parents talk about it," Gerald said. "How?" Dawn asks. "I only came to ask Aelita and Jeremy questions about my math homework." "Well, Allison is the person to ask. She can explain it easily," Aelita says. At that moment, Allison enters the room. Back at the Hermitage, Orbeetle has taken a lot of damage. "Can you keep fighting?" William asks. "Orbeetle!" Orbeetle is ready. "Good. Use, Struggle Bug!" Struggle Bug damages Malamar. "Stubborn! I thought with the ban on Pokemon Training and Traveling, fuckers would be weak," Albert shouts. "One: watch your language! Two: not even. I never went on a journey, but I had time to train!" William states. "Fine. Let me put you in your place! Malamar, use Night Slash!" There was a bite! Kiwi bites Malamar, and Night Slash sends him flying. "Kiwi!" Leya cries out. She and Lesteria run after him. Meanwhile, Clark has his two Mienshaos grab Hiroki and Johnny as Orbeetle is sent flying into William's arms. "Orbeetle!" William cries out. "William! Johnny and Hiroki are gone!" Lesteria cries out. "What!" William looks around and sees the boys are missing. "We know that these little fuckers are friends with the exchange student Gerald. Bring him to me, or Johnny and Hiroki will suffer!" Albert states.

"I-I-" Gerald is flustered. "Look, we are not trying to hurt you, but between the Remember Me 2 crew buzzing around and that attack last night, is there something you need to tell us," Allison states. "Allison, he is a kid," Aelita states. "Which you two seem to bond with, but if he is in danger, we need to know," Brock says. Gerald is about to speak when William knocks on the door. "We need to talk!" Allison opens the door and Odd rushes to Kiwi's side. "What happened?" Odd asks. "Well, I want to know more about Project Catharage!" "Excuse me?" Aelita asks. "It was crazy. We wanted to get a sneak peek of the movie set, but then Albert Biker attacks us with his Malamar!" Leys exclaims. "Hiroki tried to stop him, but he was no match, but William showed us and saved us," Lesteria exclaims. "Why were you spying, and what happened to Kiwi?" Ulrich asks. "Since you all won't trust me, I had to use my observations skills," William says. "Kiwi?" Dawn asks as she cleans Kiwi's injury as Odd cries. "He bit Malamar, and Night Slash sent him flying," William said. "Where are Johnny and Hiroki?" Gerald asks. "That's what we want to know, Gerald!" Lesteria shouts. "Calm down!" Ash says. "No. They were taken, and we have to trade them for Gerald!" Gerald is shocked. "This is all my fault!" Gerald cries out. "Why?" Yumi asks. Because, if I weren't chasing after the shiny Celebi, I wouldn't be here." Squirtle comes out of his Poke Ball and hugs his trainer. "What do you mean?" Jeremy asks. "I'm from the future," Gerald calmly said. Everyone gasps. "That makes sense why they want Gerald," Aelita said. "Why?" Yumi asks. "They know that Celebi will come back for Gerald to bring him back to his time, and they want Celebi." "Why?" Leya asks. "Project Carthage was supposed to be a weapon for destroying enemy communication, but it was dangerous," Dawn said. William whispers, "Your father was part of this?" Aelita nods. "Which is why XANA was created to destroy it, but XANA was a bigger threat," Aelita whispers back. "I don't understand," Odd says. "Albert and Clark might have been a part of the original project," Brock said. "They want to use Celebi to go back in time," Ulrich said. "Why?" William asks. "To revive Project Carthage and take it over," Allison said. "And thus, cause mass destruction globally," Jeremy claims. The room is silent, and Gerald shares a tear, but Aelita hugs him. "Don't worry! We won't let them get anywhere near you!" Gerald smiles.
