Snakes in the Trap
Hiroki and Johnny are running through the park along with Hiroki's Oshawott. "Why are we running through the park?" Johnny asks. "We need to get there early to see all the Snake Pokemon," Hiroki said. "But why snakes? Can we look at Normal types?" "No. Snake Pokemon like Arbok, Seviper, and Serperior." Johnny gulps. The boys cross over to the woods and see different types of Pokemon. "I see Pichu, Seedot, Snivy, and no snake Pokemon," Johnny said. "I thought we would see some by now," Hioki said with a mundane tone. Oshawott runs ahead. "Where are you going?" Hiroki calls out. Oshawott runs and then disappears. "Oshawott!" Hiroki calls out. "Oshawott!" Johnny calls. They walk around and hear hissing. "Did you hear that?" Johnny asks. "Yeah, but we need to find Oshawott first," Hiroki said.
Back on campus, Yumi finishes her homework as she looks at Ash and Ulrich's battle. "Ulrich and Absol are in sync. So are Ash and Sirfetch'd." As the battle progresses, Absol and Sirfetch'd are evenly matched. "Use, Fury Attack," Ash commands. "Use Night Slash," Ulrich commands. "I knew that Ash was a competitor but Ulrich? He is with sports and on Lyoko but sees this side of him. I like it." Jeremy is reading a book while Odd asks Jeremy his homework answers. "Odd, can you at least try," Jeremy grumbles. "I did, but after two-part question f, I am lost," Odd whines. Jeremy rolls his eyes. "Why don't I help you?" "Or you can give me the answers?" "No!" Allison and Dawn show Aelita some contest combinations with their Pokemon as the two bicker. "Piplup use Bubble. Togikiss use Fairy Wind!" Dawn commands. Bubbles glide in the air, and the Fairy Wind creates a sparkle of light and mini snowglobes in the sky. "Wow. Look at the bubbles," Aelita said. "Raichu use Electro Ball. Vileplume use Petal Dance," Allison commands. Raichu creates serval Electro Balls, and petals surround each one. The petals glow and create mini lights in the air. The Eletro Flower Balls create a big rose in the air. "It feels like I am at the Macy's flower show," Aelita said. "Thank you," Dawn and Allison said. "Maybe I can get Squirtle to do one with Plusle." "Plusle," Plusle agrees but Squirtle hides in her shell. "Come out. Don't you want to make one of those moves?" "Squirtle," Squirtle said. Plusle goes to talk to Squirtle, and she comes out of her shell. "Okay. Let's talk about it," Aelita said. The trio plans something. Brock walks by and sees all of the commotions. "What is going on?" "Ulrich and Ash are battling, Jeremy and Odd are arguing, and Dawn and Allison are trying to help Aelita bond with Squirtle," Yumi said. "I see. I think watching Aelita and Squirtle is the exciting part." "Me too." Aelita is about to start her performance. "Squirtle, use Ice Beam. Plusle, use Helping Hand." Squirtle uses Ice Beam, and when Plusle uses Helping Hand, Squirtle gets a boost. "Plusle, use Spark." Plusle uses Spark to make the ice sculpture glow; however, pieces of the ice fall off and hit both Sirfetch'd and Absol, which causes them to attack their trainers. Then Absol's Shadow Ball heads towards Sirfetch'd but uses Leaf Blade to hit it back; however, Shadow Ball hits Plusle, and she crashes into Squirtle, who uses Rapid Spin, and the whole sculpture crashes down. "Plusle! Squirtle!" Aelita cries out. Plusle laughs. She thinks this was the funniest thing ever. Squirtle shoots water at Aelita and hides in her shell. "Hey, this is not my fault. Multiple things happening simultaneously can cause mishaps," Aelita stated. Ulrich and Ash apologize. "It's our fault. The Shadow Ball came from Absol," Ulrich said. "And Sirfetch'd used Leaf Blade to hit it," Ash said. Absol and Sirfetch'd apologized as well. "Well, some of the Ice Beam when to the battle," Aelita said. "Hey, princess. It is not your fault. Besides, I agree with Plusle. The whole thing was funny," Odd said. Squirtle uses Water Gun on Odd, and Houndoom comes out of his Poke Ball and growls at Squirtle. They have a staredown, and everyone tries to defuse the situation. Yumi decides to call her brother.
Hiroki and Johnny look for Oshawott and hears hissing sounds. "What could it be?" Hiroki asks. "A Seperior," Johnny said. "What!" Hiroki shouts as the Pokemon uses Leaf Storm. The boys run through the woods and see more Serperior uses Leaf Storm. Soon, Johnny and Hiroki are separated. "Now I lost Johnny too," Hiroki sighs. He walks through the woods and sees a place where Pokemon used to be. "What is happening?" Hiroki hears something. "Hiroki!" "Oshawott!" "I'm coming!" Hiroki follows the cries to an area of the woods but sees nothing. He looked around, and there was a blast! Hiroki falls down a hole and is knocked out. However, Johnny and Oshawott are there as well. "I hope Johnny wakes up because we have company," Johnny said as a group of Arbok stared at them. Below their feet, Hiroki's phone rings.
"Hiroki! Pick up!" Yumi complains. When she looks up, she sees that Squirtle has fainted. "Houndoom didn't have to be mean," Aelita said. "He was defended himself and me. Squirtle should not have attacked him," Odd said. "So, Hiroki is not picking up, and his phone pinged in the woods. Which is weird becasue he said that he is going to the park," Yumi said. "Are you going to look for him?" Jeremy asks. "Yeah, Johnny is not picking up either." "I'll help. I think Houndoom and I need a break!" Odd declares. "Excuse me?" Aelita said. "I'll go too. It was my idea to do this," Dawn said. "Us too," Jeremy and Ash said. "It was my Sirfetch'd that sent the Shadow Ball flying." Sirfetch'd agreed. "Okay," Yumi said. So the five of them left for the woods while Plusle tried to wake up Squirtle. The group heads for the woods. "I heard that this area is known for snake Pokemon," Jeremy said. "Like Sevperior," Ash said. "Why would they be here?" Yumi asks herself. "Yumi!" Hiroki calls out. "Hiroki!" Yumi runs to the voice but comes face to face with three people. "More punks," Maxie shouts. "You three look like the ones our friends beat at the raid," Odd shouts. "Yeah. I mean, they got lucky. Leave!" Luca said. "No. I am looking for my brother," Yumi states. "The boy with the Oshawott and the friend with the bandage. Cute, but they were in our way," Shawn said. "Where are they?" Dawn asks. "You don't need to know. Yumi growls and calls out her Vivillon. "Yumi has a Meadow Form Vivillon. Allison has a Polar Form," Ash said. "Cute. A little butterfly is going to scare me. I have a Sandcobra," Luca taunts. "Tell me where my brother is," Yumi said. "No." "Come on. Did her brother do something to you all?" Jeremy asks. Minun is angry. "Is your little cheering friend mad?" Maxie teases. Sandcobra attacks Vivillion with a Skull Bash. "Hey, we weren't having a battle," Yumi said. "Well, now we are," Luca said. Dawn taps Yumi. "We'll find Hiroki, Johnny, and Oshawott. Beat this SOB." "Vivillion use Stun Spore," Yumi commands. "Dig," Luca commands.
Dawn, Odd, Ash, and Jeremy locate the boys and are shocked to see a group of Arbok surround the boys. "Help. Is my sister there?" Hiroki asks. "No. She is dealing with a jerk," Odd said. "William?" "No. A man named Luca." "Luca pushed me here," Johnny said. "He did?" Jeremy asks."Yeah. I found Oshawott here, and then Hiroki was blasted here." "We need to get them out," Odd said. "I have a Servine. She can use Vine Whip," Ash said. When Servine does, Arbok attacks using Poison Sting, and Servine uses Leafe Storm. "We need to block the Arbok," Dawn said. "Okay, Minun, use Thunder," Jeremy commands. The group of Arbok is hit but is still surrounding the boys. "Can anyone use Charm?" Odd asks. Minun uses it, but nothing works. "They're girls. Maybe they're mommies," Dawn said. "Servine can use Charm. We need to get the boys to safety," Ash said. When Servine tries, the group of Arbok uses Acid Spray. "Servine!" Ash cries out. "We need a new plan," Jeremy said. "Houndoom, use Smog," Odd said. One Arbok tries to gran Houndoom. Oshawott uses Razor Shell to knock it off. "Thanks," Odd said. "You're welcome," Hiroki said. "I got an idea. Attack them again," Dawn said. Odd and Jeremy have Houndoom and Minun attack the group, and while the Arboks are distracted, Togikiss uses Sweet Kiss, and the group is confused. Servine can use Vine Whip and get the boys out. Meanwhile, Vivillion is losing to Sandcorbra. "Had enough?" Luca taunts. "Not even close," Yumi said. "Vivillion, use Draining Kiss!" Draining Kiss lowers Sandcorbra's energy. "Bitch! Sandcobra, use Sand Attack." "Gust!" While Sandcobra is trapped in the Sand Attack that turned into a Sand Storm, Vivillion uses Solar Beam. With one hit, Luca is down. "You stupid bitch!" Luca shouts. He calls back Sandcobra and runs away. Meanwhile, Hiroki runs up to Yumi. "Thank you." "You're welcome. What happened?" "Sandcobra took Oshawott and pushed Johnny into a hole with some Arboks. Then Hiroko was knocked out and thrown into the hole," Odd said. "We had to think outside the box to save them," Ash said. "But you took care of Luca. You made him pay for what he did," Dawn said. "Thanks," Yumi said.
Odd and Aelita made up on campus, and Squirtle apologized to Houndoom. But she still squirted Aelita with water. The group trades stories in the rec room. "I think that Maxie, Luca, and Shawn are up to something," Aelita said. "I think so too. They remembered you," Jeremy said. "That can't be good," Allison said. "We need to keep our guard up. We told Mr. Delmas, but we should be careful," Brock said. Meanwhile, Shawn works on some devices. "I know that Butch and Cassie were on this project back in the day, but I changed it. These headbands will force a Pokemon to obey you." "You know, they give me Team Rocket vibes," Dawn said. "I thought so too. But Team Rocket is in jail. I called my mom and asked," Ash said. "What did she say when you called?" Ulrich asks. "She wasn't worried. She said that there have been different activities going around." "Wow, without XANA, we see so much going on," Yumi said. "That means more trouble looming," Odd said. Shawn smiles and sees the picture of Ash and Pikachu. "Pikachu is strong. He will be a great asset!"
What is going on? A new threat with an old plot. Snake Pokemon on the attack? This story is taking a turn. Maybe it is time for deep pockets to find the solution.
