Chapter 15

~Still Ianite's POV~

A whole week passed but Lucky hasn't woken up yet... that started to worry me.

"Is she ever going to wake up? Is she even alive?"

"Don't worry so much Ianite. She's just fine. She's alive. She's a fighter, she will get through this.", Sparklez said. I looked at Lucky, not helping but to worry. Then 2 weeks passed and Lucky finally woke up.

~Normal POV~

As I woke up, I felt sore all over.

"Lucky! You're awake, oh thank goodness!" I looked over to my right and saw Ianite.

"Hey my lady." I tried to sit up, but my shoulder made it painful. My face must have clued Ianite in to that because she helped me gently. I leaned back against the back of the staircase. Wait, I'm in Sparky's bed? She then knelt by the side of the bed and took my hand.

"My champion, how are you feeling? Other than the pain in your shoulder."

"Confused. Why am I in Sparky's bed and not my own?"

"They wouldn't have been able to bring to yours. You were seriously hurt, they needed to fix you up fast. Do you remember what happened to you?" I thought back. I don't even know how long I was out. I was held prisoner by the Darkness, Wot, the guys all came to rescue me, Wot then solidified the smoke... oh...

"I remember..." I looked at my arms and legs. They're wrapped in bandages. I tried to unwrap one on my arm, to see what my wounds look like, but Ianite stopped me from doing so, shaking her head.

"Leave them be Lucky. Let them heal." I heard the door open and everyone came over to me. Tom, Karl, Sparky, Dianite, Dec, Orion, Hermod, and... Mianite?!

"Mianite... go..."

"Lucky no, he's freed from the Darkness. We healed him while you were still out.", Dec said.

"Wait, really? ~everyone nodded~ Oh... wait, so it was successful? See Ianite, nothing to worry about." She smiled gently.

"Yes, nothing to worry about."

"So, how long was I out?"

"2 weeks.", Tom answered.

"That long? ~everyone nodded~ What happened in those 2 weeks?"

"Ianite never left your side. She was so worried about you. ~slight chuckle~ She even wanted to take down Wot herself for harming you.", Sparky said.

"The wrath of Ianite huh? Remind me to never anger you, not that I ever want to." Ianite giggled and I grinned. The guys all chuckled.

"I also expanded the tower, Ianite moved her throne back to where it was and the normal size it was before she moved it, so she has a pretty cool outside porch area type deal with a roof above her so she stays dry in case it rains. I also built Dine at Nite, a very small restaurant diner type thing. When you're well enough, I'd bet you'd love to see it."

"Well duh, but dude, I feel well enough now." I tried to get off the bed, but they all stopped me.

"Don't get up quite yet... I mean, your shoulder.", Orion said.

"I'm fine. It ain't my feet that's been put a hole through. I can walk." I tried again, Ianite then let go of my hand and stood, and everyone just watched with bated breath. I successfully got up, but it felt weird being on my feet again. The wounds on my legs also felt weird having weight put on them. "Guys I'm fine." They breathed easier. I took a few careful steps. Yeah, I could walk, it was just weird steps. Ianite came over and put right my arm around her shoulders and held onto my hand with her right hand and she put her arm around mine, being careful with my injured shoulder.

"Let me help. You look like a newborn deer trying to walk." The guys found that comment amusing, even Ianite grinned. I sighed.

"If you wish my lady." We all went outside, and it felt good to be outside. We went to the edge of the island, there were 3 boats. 4 of us will have to Elytra over.

"I'll lead the Elytra gang.", Dianite said. Tom and Karl both optioned to Elytra. Dec then was the 4th. So they all went over and the rest of us got in boats. Ianite helped me down, then got in the front to follow Sparky. As we approached the island with Dine at Nite,

"Whoa. Did you build this yourself Sparky?"

"Yes, I did. Glad you like it. Wait till you see the inside looking out at the ocean though." When we reached the shore of the island, Ianite again helped me. She helped me walk to the diner and we saw Dianite at the lectern, Dec was in the kitchen, Karl was at the armor stand, and Tom was in front of the counter separating the kitchen from the dining room. "Welcome to Dine at Nite. Leave your items in the chest and on the armor stand, don't worry, the chest is safe. I'll make sure nothing gets messed with. This is to celebrate Lucky's awakening.", Dianite said, looking pointedly at Tom. Tom raised his hands.

"Hey, I'm here to celebrate too, I promise I won't touch anything." He's telling the truth. I can also feel that really is his true intention, to celebrate. I relayed this to the others, and they trust my word.

"Now, do you all wish to sit together, or separate seats?" We all looked at each other.

"As much as I'd like to sit with just Ianite, let's all sit together. Like Dianite said, this is to celebrate me waking up after 2 weeks. Ianite and I could always come here another time by ourselves."

"Sounds good, then I'll show you all to your seats and your waiter will be right with you." Those of us who had tools and armor gave them all to Karl and he put them all in the chest and on the armor stand. We all were sat at the back so that we had a great view. When we were all seated, Tom came right over and handed us menus.

"Welcome to Dine at Nite, what would you all like to drink?"

"Water please.", every single one of us said, except Hermod. He predictably said 'mead'.

"Alrighty then, I'll get your drinks right to you." He left for the counter and told Dec our drink orders. We looked at the menu.

"I know exactly what I want.", I said.

"That was fast.", Sparky commented.

"Well, I'm a simple person." Tom came back with our waters and mead.

"Do you all need a minute more or do you know what you'd like?"

"Well, I know what I want. Anyone else?" They all took a few seconds, then affirmed that they know what they want. We all gave our orders and then Tom took our orders to Dec, who got to work right away. I got Dianite sushi and Mianite pizza. We all talked as the food was being made, Tom came over and asked if we needed a refill on our drinks, a few of us did, so he did that for us, then the food was brought over.

"This all looks and smells delicious.", I said. Everyone agreed and even the workers got food with us. Man, this place is packed. We all chatted while we ate. Well, it was a little tough trying to move and eat with bandages all down my arms, but with help from Ianite, I was able to eat.

"You two are actually really cute together...", Sparky said. I could feel the sadness and hurt behind his words. Hmm... I might need to have a talk with him later. After dinner, it was starting to get dark and we all went our separate ways, after everyone but Ianite and Sparky hugged me gently, saying that they're happy I woke up.

"Ianite, could Sparky and I have a moment alone? I need to talk with him."

"Of course. I'll be exploring the other side of the island. Let me know when you're done." I nodded and she went off in the other direction. I motioned for Sparky to come back in the diner and we sat at the table at the front.

"Sparky, do you like me like I like Ianite?"

"Wow, cutting right to the chase are we? ~I look at him pointedly and he sighed~ Yes... ever since I rescued you from the ocean."

"That's a long time. How come you never told me?"

"Because the same day you met Ianite, and I know you liked her since you first saw and met her. I didn't want there to be this weird 'I like you but you like someone else' thing between us."

"I see. Well... how are you going to handle this?"

"I'll just keep being friendly and helpful like I've always been. I just need to remember that my fellow teammate/friend and my goddess are together. I'll get over it, I'm sure."

"Well, will it help if you knew that I'm not really into guys period?"

"Wait, really? ~I nodded~ So no guy would have a chance at all, I wouldn't be the only one to be turned down. Well, I mean... huh, I don't know how that makes me feel."

"Personally, I would feel relief that I wouldn't be the only one turned down, but that's just me."

"Yeah, because your personality makes you not really care about things as much. You don't take things to heart usually. I do sometimes.", he said, miffed.

"Because you're a kind soul. You're a gentle soul. You care about others."

"Yeah... sometimes it comes at a cost..."

"Don't focus on that. Sure, people come and go. Sure, you might fall for someone and they don't return the feelings, but don't linger on that too much. It's ok to move on. Maybe you and that person could stay friends? It will only be awkward if you make it awkward. I'm sure you would know the person well enough not to make it awkward. So, for us, I would love to stay friends, if you wish us to."

"Yeah, I don't want to stop being friends."

"Great. Now, I don't mind hugs at all. I've gotten used to them being here, so if there's a hug moment, then let it happen. Now, living situation... will you be ok with me staying in the tower, or do you want to have it to yourself again?"

"Good question... well, but where will you live if you don't stay in my tower?"

"Another good question... well I could take my bed and sleep on another island." Ianite then appeared, it seems we're taking a long time to discuss things.

"Lucky, your bandages need to be changed."

"Ok, go for it."

"Um... we need to go back to the tower. One, the supplies are there, two, you shoulder wound is... well, the bandages aren't just on your shoulder." Ok, I got what she's saying.

"Oh... well, let's go then."

"To comment on you taking your bed to another island and sleeping there, I don't think that's a good idea.", Sparky said as we went to the boats.

"What's this about?", Ianite asked. Sparky explained everything. "I see. Well, if you're not comfortable having her living in the tower, she can stay with me."

"Ok. Well, if that's gonna happen, I would like if you came to visit whenever I'm around. That way we aren't completely shut off from each other. Like I said, I do still want to be friends." I nodded.

"Of course I would come visit. ~I was sat on Sparky's bed~ Um, actually, who changed my bandages as I was out?"

"Dianite and Dec. I helped hold you up so they could change your shoulder bandage. Dianite and Dec should be here any second."

"How about right now?". Dianite said. Dec, Sparky, and I chuckled and Ianite just grinned.

"So you two have first aid/medical training or something?", I asked as Dianite and Dec as they worked on cleaning the wounds on my legs and rebandaging them. They look not that bad, then again, they had 2 weeks to heal. They're still a fair size though.

"Yeah, I mean, I've lived for 1,000 years, so I would have picked something up along the way.", Dianite answered.

"I'm 200, but I felt it would be wise for me to get some sort of medical training, just in case. Good thing I did, huh?"

"Yeah, really. What about you Ianite?"

"No medical training for me. I just do what Dianite and Dec tell me to." I nodded, fair enough. They guys then moved onto the wounds on my arms. "You're not squeamish looking at those?", Ianite asked.

"Not really. I'm tough." The scratches on my hands and face are completely healed, but scarred by the way.

"Yeah, you are." The guys finished the wounds, now onto my shoulder... that's not going to be fun. Remember, literal hole. That's going to take forever to heal completely. It felt so weird having it be cleaned... then after it was bandaged,

"Thanks Dec, Dianite. I appreciate it." They smiled and nodded.

"I'm heading out. Good night Lucky.", Dec said.

"Good night Dec." He then left.

"Ianite, I heard you offer Lucky housing with you? ~Ianite nodded~ You've been watching us on how we clean and bandage her wounds, right? ~again, she nodded~ Do you think you could do it in the morning when she wakes up and at night before bed? Dec and I can do it during the day."

"I think I could."

"Alright then. I'll give you some supplies." Dianite then went into the chest next to the bed and gave Ianite some supplies.

"Thank you." Dianite inclined his head in response.

"Well, I'm off too. Good night all." We wished him a good night and he left. The three of us went up to my floor and I grabbed all my stuff from my floor so I could move it with me to Ianite's.

"Well, we're off now. Good night Sparky. I'll be seeing you again at some point. Thanks so much for the shelter and the help."

"Of course. I'll be seeing you. Good night." Ianite disappeared, then I was teleported to her. We're at her secret space. So this is her home too? Huh.

"Where do I place my stuff?"

"Anywhere. This is your place now too." I looked around, I found good places out of the way to place my stuff.

"Um, where to put my bed? Can we make like, an additional bedroom?"

"I could. Give me a second." Very fast, she created a fair sized bedroom for me. After putting the door down, "And there we go. A bedroom fit for you." I went in and then set my bed down.

"Awesome, now I'm officially moved in. Thank you Ianite. I should probably get to sleep now before it gets any later."

"You're very welcome Lucky. Yes, we should get to bed, I agree. Good night Lucky." We hugged each other good night and she went to her room. I got into my bed and I was out like a light.
