Chapter 16

In the morning, Ianite came into my room with the bandages and other stuff. I was just waking up.

"Good morning my hero. Ready for your bandage change?"

"Yeah." I tried getting up, but still had a hard time doing so. Ianite then helped me and I sat back against the wall. She started working on the wounds on my legs. She did pretty well. Her watching Dianite and Dec helped her to be able to take care of my wounds very well. As she was cleaning my arms, I went to try and touch one of the wounds and she lightly smacked my hand away, giving me a stern look.

"Don't touch. It won't help your wounds heal." I grinned sheepishly which made her smile and shake her head. When it came to my shoulder, she hesitated a little bit.

"What's up my lady?"

"Just... it's... a hole in your shoulder... kind of squeeing me out a little." I chuckled.

"Want me to do it?"

"I can do it. Just... give me a second." She definitely needed a little time to psych herself up, but she finally was able to do it. After my shoulder was all wrapped up, she went out to the kitchen and washed up. I went out and sat at the table.

"So, do I need to practice my powers even though I have all but 1?"

"Dianite did say to perfect your abilities, so I'd say yes."

"Alright, then I'll do that today. Can we stay here in this area?"

"Of course. Actually, I'll give you a tour before you get started."

"Alright, great." We went out of the house and this place is beautiful. She's got a flower garden with a small pond and a waterfall, quite a few trees, the hill we sat on as we watched the sunset a while back, and a good size field where I can practice my powers. That's where she showed me last.

"Wow. Did you find this place or did you build it all?"

"I built it all. I take it you like it?"

"Like it? I love it! It's so beautiful, just like the one who built it.", I said, taking her hands.

"I didn't know you could be so cheesy.", Ianite said amused. I chuckled.

"There's lots of things you don't know about me."

"Like?"

"Well... the fact I like flowers, I prefer cats over dogs, and, despite my tough exterior, I'm actually a real softie inside, but only for one specific person."

"And that one person is me, isn't it?"

"Well duh.", I said, grinning and she chuckled. "Well, how about I get practicing huh? I wanna be High Priestess as soon as I can."

"Alright, this field is perfect for that. Here, lemme put down another campfire pit so that you can fire read." We let go of each other's hands and she put down another campfire pit. She stood back and I used my magic to light the fire. We both sat down in front of it, Ianite took my hand, and I focused.

'What can I look for... what in the future can I see? Maybe I can see how long my shoulder will be like this. Yeah.', I thought to myself. I focused on my shoulder healing. The fire grew a smaller bit bigger and then I could see myself checking out my shoulder. It's fully healed now and it looks a lot better, but the scarred tissue is weird. It's a significant size. I don't look too much older, so my guess would be less than a year? Maybe a little over a year at most. Fire me said something and fire Ianite came over. She looked at my shoulder, smiled, and nodded. She agreed with me on something, maybe I said 'it healed pretty well' or something along those lines. Well, I have my answer, so I ended the fire reading. I sat back and the fire died.

"So, what did you see?"

"My shoulder being healed. I think between less than a year or a little over a year from now is when it fully heals. You were there. I said something to you, you came over and looked at my shoulder, then you smiled and nodded in agreement. I think I said something along the lines of 'it healed pretty well'."

"Wow. Well that's awesome." I nodded.

"Next, probably feeling presences." I closed my eyes and focused on Ianite's presence. It came to me much faster and it's still more turmoil than peace. I opened my eyes and sighed. Next I wanted to practice lie detecting. I told Ianite this.

"Ok, I have four fox pets." Truth... wait what? How have I never seen them?

"Wait, really?" She giggled.

"Yes, they're very independent though, but they bonded with me and they're very special. They can actually talk. They're around somewhere. You could possibly meet them today."

"I'd be very interested." She smiled, then we got back to it.

"They are red foxes." Lie.

"Lie. So they're Arctic foxes. So cool! I love Arctic foxes, they're so pretty."

"Their names are Snowy, Icefrost, Cloud, and Skye." Lie.

"Lie." She nodded.

"Their actual names are A, B, C, and D." Truth... really?

"Really? Odd..."

"They came up with their names themselves, I don't question it."

"Ok then... A, B, C, and D huh? Well, I still look forward to meeting them." She smiled gently.

"I'm sure they'd be very excited to meet you."

"Really? Are they that friendly?"

"Well, two of them are a little snarky, but usually friendly and two are very friendly, yes."

"I see." A few hours passed as I pracitced my powers. I don't even know how I would practice getting visions of the near future. I guess they just have to happen whenever. "Ianite, do I have to gain my visions of the near future to be able to be sworn in as High Priestess?"

"I'm not sure, you'd have to ask Dianite. He's the one telling you to practice your powers constantly." I nodded. I mean, makes sense.

"I really hope I can be sworn in soon. I really want to prove my worth as High Priestess. I also want to publicly pledge my loyalty to you. I want people to know that you're the only one for me."

"Lookit guys, we got us another simp!", a high pitched voice said.

"Simp? Wait, who said that?"

"It was me, C!" Then I saw 4 Arctic foxes appearing from the cluster of trees.

"Oh my goodness, you guys are so cute!"

"Aw, thanks. I'm B. What's your name?"

"I'm Lucky Fire. So who's A and who's D?" A and D introduced themselves.

"This is my ladyfriend that I told you about 2 nights ago.", Ianite said.

"Oooo! Ladyfriend!", they all said.

"I'm surprised my lady. You swing that way?", D asked.

"I didn't think I did, but Lucky here is someone special. I mean, I like guys too, but I think Lucky here would be the only one that I would fall for of the same gender as me."

"If you say so my lady.", C said.

"Well I do, and you should at least show me a little respect sometimes. Lucky here showed me respect as soon as she met me and she was just as snarky as you, silly C."

"Was?"

"Yeah, she's calmed down over time, but sometimes she can be a little snarky, depending. But that's what makes her who she is and I love who she is." I grinned at Ianite, who smiled back at me.

"Yuck... sappy.", C said. I chuckled and Ianite giggled at C's comment.

"I think it's romantic.", A and B said.

"Well, I don't care either way. I just want to see our lady happy, and if this makes her happy, then that's cool with me.", D said, curling up on Ianite's lap. C laid on Ianite's other side, A laid between Ianite and I, and B curled up on my lap, but he was gentle, so that he didn't agitate my bandaged wounds. I smiled gently and pet B while Ianite pet D. Our hands are still joined btw.

After about... 10 minutes I would guess,

"This is so nice... so peaceful. Ianite, you picked the absolute best spot and nailed building this island the way you built it. I could totally live here forever and be perfectly happy with it."

"I'm glad you feel that way Lucky. Thank you for your compliments." I smiled at her in response and I'm sure the foxes actually fell asleep. That sounds like a good plan actually. Today feels just like that one day in Karl's garden. I gently laid back, one, to not wake B, and two, my shoulder. Ianite laid back gently as well, but only to not wake D. We kept our hands joined though. We both closed our eyes and listened to the waterfall. It was very soothing and within minutes we both had fallen asleep. Probably about 20 minutes had passed and I heard a commotion. I woke up and looked to my left. The foxes had woken up and are now playing. I smiled, they're too cute!

"Those foxes sure are energetic after their nap.", Ianite said. I looked over to her and she was smiling as well and was propped up on her elbow.

"They sure are. Could you help me sit up?" She nodded and sat up fully, then she helped me sit up then we faced the foxes and watched them play. Ianite leaned gently against me, her hand resting behind me. We watched the foxes for 30 minutes, then Ianite got up.

"Let's go to the main islands. Pretty soon we'll need to change your bandages and Dianite said he and Dec would do it during the day." She held out a hand and helped me stand as soon as I took it. "Little foxes, Lucky and I are heading to the main islands. Are you coming with us?" They shook their heads 'no' and resumed playing. Ianite nodded, then disappeared and I was teleported to her. We were on Sparky's island.

"Sparky's not here today, but I prefer coming to his island."

"I can see why. It's a really nice island. Plus, he's also your follower." She nodded. We sat at the beach that we have used to talk about my problems in the past and we just stared out at the ocean. A few minutes passed and I spaced out, then I finally had a vision. I could see the guys and me in the Nether. We might be looking for the Fire stone. Dianite said my visions would be of the near future, so this is my guess. I also still have my bandages. So it must be really soon. Vision me dove into the lava and looked around. Vision me could see a room with an iron door, then swam, for lack of a better word, over to it. Vision me pressed the button to open it then went in and found a chest. Then the vision ended.

"Lucky? Lucky, you ok, what happened?"

"I just had my first vision." Then I told her what happened in it.

"Whoa. Did your bandages burn up?"

"I'm not sure... I didn't pay attention to those. I was more focused on the surroundings. I didn't recognize anything, but I know we were in the Nether."

"I see."

"So, you had your vision? Have you been practicing your other abilities?", Dianite asked.

"Yes, I just practiced this morning."

"Good. Lucky, if we get you to swear in as High Priestess next week, will you promise to continue practicing your powers? Dec and I were discussing and we feel you should become High Priestess as soon as possible."

"I will absolutely continue practicing."

"Good to hear. Now, let's get those bandages changed." We went into Sparky's tower and we actually went upstairs to Ianite's throne. She said she'd let us use her throne to change my bandages. After I sat and Dianite and Dec started changing my bandages, Ianite took my hand as we watched the guys change the bandages.

"I can't wait till these ones come off... I wanna be able to move normally..."

"Should be another couple weeks. These ones are healing nicely.", Dec said.

"Good. Yeah, they look fairly nice. Can they like, not have bandages for a bit though? So they can be exposed to the fresh air. I promise I'll not let them touch anything." Dianite and Dec looked at each other. They stayed quiet for a bit, they must be telepathically communicating to one another. After a bit, they looked at me.

"It should be fine.", Dec said. They unrolled the bandages off my legs, sadly the bandages can't be used again. I felt bad for mentioning something just after they finished my legs. They didn't seem to mind though. Boy the air feels good. They moved on to my arms. They left my arms unwrapped as well, but my shoulder most definitely needs to stay bandaged for now. I agreed with Dec when he said that my shoulder needed to stay wrapped. Now they've finished, they sat on the ground in front of me and Ianite sat on the arm of the throne. Her and I are still holding hands.

"So, what was your first vision about? ~I explained what my vision was~ Huh. So it must be within the week.", Dianite said. I nodded.

"I hope so, I want to find that Fire stone.", I said.

"I understand you want to get things done, but it takes time.", Dianite said.

"I know... I just want things to be balanced again. I especially want to feel more peace in Ianite's presence than turmoil. ~turns to Ianite~ I don't like feeling the turmoil in your presence my lady. It makes me sad." Ianite smiled gently and gently laid a hand on my cheek.

"I know you don't, and I appreciate that you want to help me as much as you do. I know you'll do well despite your injuries. I would prefer you don't go, but you're probably going to insist aren't you? ~I grin and nod~ Of course you are. Well, I ask that you be careful, my champion. Take things easy. Avoid agitating your wounds as much as you can. Especially that shoulder... your shoulder really is what's worrying me." I gently lay my hand on her cheek and smile gently.

"I'll be fine my lady, don't you worry. I'll practice all the precautions I can. I'll bring Regen potions, potions of Instant Health, I don't need to worry about Fire Resist, I have that for the rest of my life. I'll make sure I stay safe, for you."

"That's good, I'll hold you to that my champion. I lost it when I saw you after Sparklez returned with you the way you were after being captured by the Darkness, I don't know what I'd do if you actually unalived."

"You don't have to worry about that. The guys will most likely protect me with their lives after they saw you react the way you did."

"Oh, I don't doubt it."

"Alright you two, sappy can go away while I'm here.", Dianite said. Ianite and I both giggled as we looked at him, taking our hands off each other's cheeks. The 4 of us talked the whole rest of the day. I actually quite like Dianite. He's really cool. Ianite and I went back home after Dec and Dianite left after putting bandages on my legs and arms. I needed to eat. Ianite handed me some chicken. After I ate that, we wished each other good night, hugged, and went to our rooms. I fell asleep pretty quick.
