The dance is in full swing, and the donations are pouring in. As Odd looks at Dawn, who is talking to Johanne., he recalls his conversation with Sam, who is staring at Odd. Odd met Sam by the library a few days ago. She hugs him. "How are you doing?" Sam asks. "Fine. How are you?" Odd asks in return. "Fine. What brings you by?" "You said that you wanted to talk about our relationship." "I do. I feel like we are not in sync." "We're not. I mean, we're not twelve anymore. We're different." "Are you still mad that I didn't give you that message from Ulrich?" "No. Everything worked out in the end. Why do you ask?" "Your friends are a tight group. I have a feeling that-" "They don't influence me. I think we have grown apart. I don't have those feelings for you anymore." "Excuse me? After everything between us!" Sam gets up, and Odd follows her. "Look. You said that you were hurt when I cut all ties with you. I said I will work hard to rekindle something, but it's gone." "Says who?" "Me. I had to walk with my tail between my legs to work on a relationship with you. What the fuck did you do?" Sam walks up to Odd. "Don't curse at me!" "No," Odd said as he walked off. Odd shakes his head and runs into Brock. "Hey, how is the sale?" "Great. The digital frames the film club made sold out," Brock said. "Sold out?" "Yeah. I was able to buy one for my mom. She has a ton of photos she wants to put on it." "Good. Where's your date?" "Cressila? She is talking to Ash and Ash J. It turns out that both boys had battles with her father before. He is a specialist in Rock-type Pokemon." "Cool. Have you seen Yumi? I have some money for her." "She is talking to some students about the tsunami. Put the money in the back. Jim has a lock for it." Odd nods and walks past Ulrich, Jeremy, and Aelita. Aelita plays a set from her new music while Ulrich and Jeremy convenience more students to donate money. "So far, we raised 200 euros. Yumi can rebuild the whole town at this rate," Jeremy jokes. "Yeah, I saw that both the digital frames and the keychains are sold out," Ulrich notes. Aelita takes off her headphones and breaths. "I have a few more songs; another DJ will take over." Yumi finishes her conversation with a few students about the tsunami in Jhoto. "I'm sorry. I hope our contributions are going to help," Theo said. "It will. My mother and I will send the money as a money order in two days," Yumi said. "Why two days?" Laura asks with suspicion. "We must count the money; everyone will be tired after the dance." "I can see that. Plus, you have spent three days planning this dance on such short notice," Mary said. Laura rolls her eyes. Allison meets up with Dawn and Johanne. "How are you doing?" Allison asks. "What? I lost my hearing an hour ago," Dawn said. "I wonder where is the Kadic News?" Johanne asks. "Jim gave the middle school a curfew. Milly and Tamiya were not happy," Allison said. "Well, what can we say? More food for me." Dawn giggles as Ash walk by Allison and kiss her on the cheek. "Missed me?" "No. I didn't notice," Allison teases. "Really?" Ash gives her a more significant kiss. "Now?" "Maybe?" "This is our cue to leave," Dawn said. "Right. I need to look for Haru. He is a fish out of the water," Johanne said.

Later, Jeremy gets some punch for himself and Aelita when Laura walks by. "Hi, where is your lovely lady?" "She is cleaning up the DJ stand for the next one," Jeremy said. "I see. Can I keep you company?" "No. I am going to meet her." Laura places her hand on Jeremy's shoulder, and Jeremy gulps. "The crowd will cause you to spill the drunk. It is best to stay here." "Or, I can help?" William asks. "You can. You can carry Aelita's drink, and I can carry the spring rolls. Thanks for the offer, though," Jeremy said. The boys leave as Laura smiles. "Awe. They have no idea that I know their secret." As Aelita, William, and Jeremy eat spring rolls; Paul walks up to the kissing couple. "You can lose brain cells like that," he teases. "Hello, Paul," Ash said. "My rival. The one who made me eat my words." "Do you need something?" Allison asks. "Yeah. I want to say that I like the keychains." Paul holds up a metallic blue keychain with a picture of a Manaphy on it. "Our school's mascot," Ash points out. "Yep. My brother likes these things, so I bought him one." "That's nice," Allison said. "Yep. I heard that you made it. Which makes it extra special," Paul said as he walked away. Ash growls, but Allison kisses him. "Be nice. It is for charity." "Okay," Ash said. "I want food." Allison chuckles as she takes Ash to get some food. Odd finally drops off the money box and plops himself next to Dawn, Brock, and Cressila. "I need food," Odd said. "You're in luck," Cressila said. "We have spring rolls, dumplings, and chicken wings." "My stomach thanks you," Odd said. Brock and Dawn laugh. "As you can see, Cressila, Odd is the walking stomach," Dawn teases. "I'm hungry," Odd said. Cressila laughs. Yumi sits down and fans herself when Ulrich sits beside her and gives her some water. "Cucumber and sparkly water. I need this," Yumi said as she drank. "I knew you would," Ulrich said. He kisses Yumi on the forehead as he rubs her legs. Ms. Hertz was managing the caterers. The caterers wore white lab coats and handled the food and ice buckets. "We need a refill over there," Ms. Hertz said. William looks over at Laura as Rocky walks by. "Eyeing Laura?" Rocky asks. "No way! However, she was eyeing Jeremy," William said. "Jeremy He is crazy for Aelita. Anyone with a heart can sense that." "I know. I sense that she is trouble." Moxie and Ash J request a song as one of the caterers serves bottles of club soda. "Excitation! I heard that it is made in Switzerland. The creator is a wealthy scientist," Moxie said. "It tastes the same, but the bottle is fancy," Ash J said. Laura passes on the club soda. "I'll stick to water," she said. The female caterer smiled at her.

Ash hugs Allison as they enjoy some food. "Now, I have the energy to dance," Allison said. "I'm still eating," Ash said. Allison whispers something as she tickles Ash's crotch. Ash blushes and says, "Who needs food." They kiss, and each takes a bottle of Excitation! Aelita and Jeremy slow dance together as a caterer hands them two bottles. They notice Sam sitting alone. "Odd told me that he ended things with Sam," Jeremy said. "Really? I heard that he liked her," Aelita said. "Yeah, but some people change. Odd did." Aelita nods. William looks around and sees Laura on the phone with someone. "I should go see,' he said but was stopped by a girl named Sarah Bélle. "Wanna dance?" "Well, I want to check something out," William said. "Are you sure?" Sarah asks as she blows William a kiss. "Let's dance," he said. Brock chats with Cressila about their similar families when Leona walks by. "Who is this?" she asks. "Hello, are you a friend of Brock's?" Cressila asks. "No. I'm his ex. I thought he would save a dance for me." "Leona, please leave," Brock said. "Why? I want to get to know your friend," Leona teases. Cressila gets up and takes Brock's hand. "I can see that this girl is bothering you. I have an annoying ex at my school. If they don't leave us alone, they can reap in their woes." "I agree," Brock said as he led Cressila to the dance floor. Odd sees Dawn cleaning up some food on a table and taps her shoulder. "Hey, Odd," Dawn gleefully says. "Hey. Remember I ask you to save me a dance?" "Yeah. I said I'll save you as many dances as you want." "Well then," Odd said as he extended his hand. "I'll like the first one." Dawn gives a slight blush and takes Odd's hand.

When The Weeknd sings the words "my faith," the students also sing it. Sissi is dancing with a soccer player while Alice is playing matchmaker with her roommate a classmate.

Now we see Yumi and Ulrich dancing together; Allison and Ash dance "close together" while Brock and Cressila dance sweetly. Aelita and Jeremy dance together, as do Odd and Dawn. Next, we see Ash J embracing Moxie and Rocky dancing with another student. Then we see students dancing with scarves, flags, or sheets. When the word "gasoline" is heard, the students raise their club soda bottles and start to drink them.

Allison and Ash dance "close together." Jeremy spins Aelita around and dances with her. Odd holds Dawn as they dance other as Brock dances "close" with Cressila. Yumi kisses Ulrich on the cheek as they dance together.

A man is lying cold on a table. He is covered in a sheet. Then someone pours gasoline over his body and sets him on fire. Then a woman wheels the burned body, now placed in a black body bag away. Then it appears it is one of the ice trays at the dance, and there are quite a few of those ice trays.

The students dance while nothing.

Sissi grabs water from the recently brought-out ice tray. "I need to hydrate," she says as she guzzles down some water. William sits down and drinks another bottle of Excitation! He looks around and notices that he is on cloud nine. "You know, daddy. I like donating to a good cause," Sissi tells her father. "Good. I'm glad that the dance is drama-free," Mr. Delmas said. Moments later, Allisonlaughsg with Ash bumps into the table, causing it to fall and Sissi to get splashed with ice water. "Allison, you clumsy bitch," Sissi roars. "Now, Elizabeth. Watch your language. ut was an accident," Mr. Delmas said. "I'm so sorry," Allison pleads. "Look at me!" Sissi screams. Everyone looks at the scene. Allison and Ash begin to pick things up when Allison discovers something. "That looks like a hand and a leg." More things fall off the ice tray and a toe tag is visible. The gym gasps and Sissi faints.

Now the scene shifts to Ash and Brock's room. "Okay, what the fuck just happened?" William asks, "There was a body in one of the ice trays," Dawn said. Allison holds her head. "This is straight out of Pretty Little Liars." "It is? I don't watch chick flicks," Jeremy said. "One, it is a tv show," Aelita said. "Two: watch with the whole 'chick flick' comment," Yumi said. "Basically, Jeremy. There was a Halloween party and a body in an ice bucket when someone knocked it over," Ash said. "I see. I wonder why? Why our school," Jeremy said. Sissi knocks on the door. "Hey, is Allison there?" "I'm here," Allison said. "I'm sorry. I overreacted." "It's okay. It was ice water." Sissi nods. "Are you okay?" "Yeah. Why?" "Well, I heard that you don't like dead bodies." "I'm okay. Thanks." Allison closes the door and sighs. "My head hurts." "Let's talk about something else. Maybe about the emails," Odd states. "What emails?" William asks. "We all got random emails from Spotify about song recommendations," Yumi said. "Well, let me see the songs," Allison said. As Allison looks at the song list, Ulrich thinks. "Someone is sending a message. I wonder who?" Ash J knocks on the door. Dawn opens it and sees Ash J, Moxie, and Jimmy. "Hey. Is Allison okay?" Jimmy asks. "Why is everyone asking about Allison?" William exclaims. "She gets freaked out with dead bodies, cemeteries, funerals," Ash said. "How bad can it be?" "How would you feel if you walked into a cemetery?" "I mean who does that?" "I'm fine," Allison said. "Look. I brought some club soda to cheer you up," Moxie says. Allison is about to take it when she smells it. "It smells like hemp." "Hemp?" Odd asks. "Weed," William said. "No way," Moxie said. Jimmy smells the bottle. "I think she is right. It smells like it. A lot of it," Ash J said. "I think we should tell the principal," Moxie said. After that conversation, Allisonreturnsk to work to see if there was a connection between the songs. "We are missing something," Yumi said. Everyone looks at her. "Who is Jack Slate?" William asks. Before they can answer, Ash J knocks on the door again. "Sorry to come back." "That's okay. What's wrong?" Ash asks. "The body has a name. Jack Slate." Everyone looks horrified. "Wasn't that the name of that man who died of second degree growing in December?" Moxie asks. "Yeah. It was weird," Jimmy said. "Thanks for telling us," Ash said as he closed the door. "Jack Slate was a XANA victim. XANA caused a city-wide flood and he didn't make it before the RTTP," Brock said. William gulps. "I'm guessing it was under my time as XANA's slave," he said. Laura calls Professor Tyron. "What a move! I think they got the hint!" "They did. And they have no idea we have proof of XANA's power," Professor Tyron said. "We worked as hard and fast as possible," Aelita said. "So the emails are from someone who knows Jack Slate?" Yumi asks. "Yeah. And the email I got was the song that was playing when someone must have brought the body into the gym," Allison said. "Okay!" Ulrich said. "We need a break! We're high and anxious and fucked up."

In the night's final moments, Jeremy sits in his room and looks at his computer. "I wished this was XANA's doing but I feared it is way worse." "Jeremy, do you think it could be someone from my father's past?" Aelita asks. "Maybe. It could also relate to the creator of the Cortex." Odd visit Dawn in her room. "Odd, do you need something?" "Yeah." Odd holds Dawn's hand. "I had a great time tonight." "Me too." "Also, I ended things with Sam a few days ago." "You did. Why did you ask me for advice?" "See if I did it wrong, but I didn't." "Okay. What else?" "I like you. And I would like to go on a real date?" "But Odd. It is too soon." "Sam and I weren't a couple. Plus, we grew apart. I told her that." Dawn doesn't know what to say until Odd kisses her. "Allison will be back in ten," she said as she kissed Odd back. Flash! Odd closes the door in case Sam walks by. Jeremy takes off his glasses. "I feel like the other shoe is going to drop." Jeremy received an email from Spotify. "They won't know what hit 'em," Laura said. "What does it say?" Aelita asks. "My Song Knows What You Did in the Dark. We have the proof," Jeremy reads.
