I decided to do a fun alternate POV like i've seen some people do!

It was so exciting that I got to go to the parade! A few people got chosen specifically since they were especially rich or famous or whatever, but a few spots were chosen by lottery every year and this time I got one! I was going to get to see the Tributes all up close!
Dionysus was okay. He didn't seem to take the interview very seriously. People like that either win easily or die really early. Allure was awesome though! She was so pretty and also knew exactly what she was going to do in the Games.
Nailah didn't seem to like being interviewed very much. She always had a good answer for Marcelene but I had the feeling she liked doing things more than talking. Nero was very... what's the word for talking really good? Sounds like "elephant'? I wasn't sure I understood everything he was saying but to be honest I'm really not the smartest.
I didn't like Preji. I didn't think anyone did. He kept going on about something like "everyone's out to get me, it's so unfair I'm stuck here, you have no idea what this is like". Interviews are supposed to be HAPPY. Cheyanne was much more likable. She was sad about going into the Games but she wasn't going to give up and she hoped maybe we would help her. Maybe I WILL!
Anthony was SO CUTE! Maybe I'll sponsor HIM! Or maybe I'll sponsor Cheyanne until she dies and then Anthony. He was definitely flirting with the audience, but I wasn't mad! Ceto was kind of scary. She was pretty but in a really cold way, like a black leopard. She'd probably get lots of sponsors but I didn't think I'd sponsor her.
Connor's interview was SOOO ROMANTIC! He proposed to his girlfriend right on stage! We didn't know how she answered but Marcelene said someone was going to interview her right away and she'd tell us as soon as she found out. I hope she said yes! When Gigi came on she said she couldn't really follow that act so she'd just tell a few jokes and do her best.
RJ said something about ancient Rome and how eventually they fell? Marcelene said they were out of time but it didn't seem like it had been that long. Marcelene asked where Porsche's family was from since she was just the right shade to be from anywhere. Porsche said she didn't know either but that it was somewhere with really pretty people, obviously.
Martin looked like he wanted to be anywhere other than onstage. He seemed really embarrassed about something and kept fumbling his answers. Des was much more natural. She kept flirting with Marcelene, which was funny.
Archibald got really embarrassed when Marcelene announced him and said everyone just calls him Pell. She asked how a young Tribute like him would win and he said it would have to be by hiding and staying away from everyone. Boring but true. Kjole didn't talk much but we could all tell she was really strong. Her outfit showed off her muscles and she was like twice as tall as Marcelene.
There are so many people I have to sponsor! Oberon has a sister back home and he takes care of her. She's too little to be all alone! Then Maizie told the funniest joke. She said "How did the snowman get to work? By icicle!" I was going to tell all my friends that.
Omar was very well-spoken. He talked about how the Games were very dangerous but they were also a new chance to do something he never would have done otherwise. He was worried about the danger but he was excited, too. Bess said she was going to be the strongest in the Arena and she proved it by flexing so hard her shirt ripped. She could probably lift me up like one of those gym weights!
Culter talked a little about his girlfriend but it fell kind of flat since Connor had stolen his thunder. I think they were already engaged so he couldn't propose. Marcelene joked about Soleil trying to ride the parade horses and Soleil talked about horses for a while. Then she brought up her fiancee, which was so romantic, and I was pretty sure she'd get lots of sponsors too.
Morty seemed very sad. He talked about how hard life had been for him and how he knew he wasn't going to win the Games because he was going to k- and then Marcelene broke in and kept asking him other questions until time ran out. It was really upsetting to see Samantha. She was clearly insane and I didn't think it was right for the Capitol to send someone like that to the Games. She needed to go to a hospital instead.
I was all abuzz with everything I'd seen as I rode the bus back home after the interviews and afterparty. There were so many amazing Tributes and I wanted them ALL to win! I was going to have to save up all my allowance and not buy any bubble tea until the Games were over so I could sponsor a lot of people.
