Gold Rush
Following the events of the previous attack, Jeremy has suspended all missions to Lyoko. What about XANA? XANA is not thrilled. There are no attacks, and Tyron can't access the files without activity at the Supercomputer. Such a shame. So now everyone is in limbo. Odd and Dawn have put the quest on finding out who tampered with his film for now. As for their relationship status: it isn't straightforward. Or, as Leona is explaining it at the pool, it's Dawn's karma. "I mean moving in on someone's boyfriend, and she called me a sluts," Leona said. "I never called you that!" Dawn shouts. "I said it was wrong for you to do that, and I can't support your actions." "Whatever, Dee-Dee," Destiny said. "Dee-Dee?" Jeremy asks. He jumps into the pool and splashes Leona. "Fuck! I'm wet!" Leona shouts. "Sorry that you got wet in the pool," Jeremy said. "What is Dee-Dee?" Lila asks. "Oh," Destiny said. "Well-" Dawn splashes Destiny with water. "I'm sorry. there is a break in the connection!" "You, bitch!" "What's wrong, Dee-Dee?" Leona shouts. Dawn dunks her into the water. Meanwhile, Allison and Nicholas are working on a history report. "By tomorrow, we will get the bricks for our report," Allison said. "Do you think it will work?" Nicholas asks. "It is not supposed to work, which is why we made a model." Ash walks by and listens and greets them. "Hello," Ash said. "Hello," Nicholas said. "Hi," Allison said, followed by a kiss. "What are you two talking about?" "We are reporting on a historic neighborhood. A woman named Charolette Dépree had a gold mine, and she would give gold to her neighbors and help the economy," Allison starts. "Then, one night, as she gave birth to her daughter, a group called Escouade gourmande stole most of her gold. Someone kept some safe while the rest were gone. However, nobody left the neighborhood at all," Nicholas said. "Charlotte was heartbroken, but she was about to create these bricks that protect the people in their homes. We are studying the science behind the bricks," Allison said. "I see. Hey!" Ash gets splashed by Leona. "Okay, what is going on?" "Leona the bitch," Allison said. She picks up a beach ball and throws it to Dawn, knowing Leona will get hit. "Motherfucker!" Leona shouts. "Sorry, I thought Dawn would want to play water polo." "What the fuck is that? Is it made up game," Destiny said. "No," Odd said as he jumped into the pool. "It is basically pool volleyball." "Oh." "Okay, pick your teams," Jim said. As the students split into teams, Leona teases Dawn. "Your boyfriend will help you serve in more ways than one." "At least I have one and know how to hang on to them," Dawn shoots back, causing Leona to growl. Brock enters the pool and smiles. "Still feisty as ever," he teased. "Really?" Leona flirts. "How is Cressila?" Ash asks. Leona's face falls. "Great. She is coming back to visit soon," Brock said. "And Brock moved on," Dawn states as Leona screams.
Elsewhere in the pool, Laura is talking to Professor Tyron. "It seems like everything has stopped! They have not gone to the Cortex in a while," Tyron said. "Yeah, you scared him, but I had no idea it would affect us," Laura said. "And XANA. It wants to draw those fuckers onto Lyoko, but even it knows they mean business." Laura thinks but hears a sound. "Get off!" Anthea shouts as she is dragged. "Who was that?" Laura asks. "Nobody. My backup plan is to get and control the program used for XANAt. I have data from its attacks, but I need more." "Well, if they won't go to Lyoko, XANA is not attacking. It is like XANA knows what we want." "Waldo couldn't handle it, but I will!" Laura smiles and doesn't see Aelita standing over her. "Hi," Aelita said. Laura jumps and drops her tablet. "Sorry," Laura said. Aelita goes to pick it up, and Laura swiftly grabs it. "Thanks, but I got it." "You know that it will get wet from the water." "My risk to take." "Is everything okay?" "Yeah." There is a tense stand-off until, "Ouch! You didn't have to strike me!" Destiny shouts. "Be faster next time!" Jeremy exclaims. "I have never seen Jeremy so active before. It must be hot," Laura said. "Stop it," Aelita calmly says. "You don't like him. You want to annoy me." "Do I?" "Yeah. You have flirted with him in front of me many times and even snuggled with him when we had to take our top five photos. At the same time, you growled when Jeremy became number one and mentioned how Einstien crashed and burned. That sounds poetic yet a promise you want to fulfill." Laura stands up. "Look. I don't like your boy nerd but don't get it twisted!" "Or what?" Before Laura can respond, Yumi and Ulrich arrive as William drags Aelita away. "It seems you are done," Yumi points out. "What is this? The wolf pack!" Laura shouts. "Excuse me," Allison calls from the pool. "I already claimed that insult!" Laura rolls her eyes. "I think you made your point; let's play water polo," Ulrich said. Laura growls and leaves the pool for a while. William sits Aelita down. "What was that?" he asks. "Laura was weird and a bitch!" Aelita said. "Hopefully, she lays off. I think she is up to something." "A mean girl who wants everything but is selling her soul." "How so?" "She was talking to someone, and it was a man. Not her father becasue he came to school. This man was old and distressed." William thinks. "We better stay out of her way. You know, always the quiet ones, right." Aelita chuckles. "How cute?" Laura said. "Is this why you said that Jeremy better watches out," Laura teases. "What are you talking about?" William asks. Laura catches herself and jumps into the pool. Aelita waves her hands. "She had a weird smell, like cat litter." Laura wipes her face and sees a small about of powder on her hand and wipes it off.
Hmm... Was that Anthea's voice? What happened between her and Daphne during the phone call? Daphne is relaxing in a tranquil tub in her house while drinking a cold glass of Rosé. "What a day! I'm glad I still have those husband coupons, and I got the day off." Daphne's phone rings, and she answers it. "Hello, good afternoon!" "Daphne! You answered again!" Anthea says excitedly. Daphne sits up and is flabbergasted. "Who is this?" "Daphne! It's me. Our conversation was cut short because of my boss." "Boss?" "Listen. I still remember that your friend Shaggy calls my husband, or late husband Waldo, Walnut." Daphne gasps. "That doesn't mean anything." "The fact that all of your little mystery friends referred to my wedding with Waldo as Anthea's European Boyfriend, as a shotgun wedding, still rings in my head is a sign that I am your sister." "I don't understand." "I want to check in with Aelita. Can I talk to her?" "She's not here. The kids all go away to school. I a command thing for teenagers here." "I see. I'm glad you got my letter, and Waldo sent Aelita to you when I was taken away." Daphne is confused. "What?" Before Daphne and ask a question, the line went dead. "Anthea?" Daphne tried to call the number again, but it was a blocked number. "Daphne, are you ready for that massage?" Fred flirtatiously says. "Sure," Daphne said as she laid back in the tub and held her head.
The next day, Allison and Nicholas presented their history report to the class. Charlotte "Charlie" Dépree-Johnson, the original Charlotte's great-great-great-granddaughter, and Don Stoned, a member of L.T industries. Yumi and William sit in the back to support their friends as Rocky speaks with Jeremy. "I remembered last year, Yumi and Christopher presented their topic." "They did?" Jeremy asks. "Right. You were on bed rest at that time." Jeremy is puzzled but nods. "Right. Yumi told me about it." William listens and then hears Odd speaking to Brock. "Remember last year. Yumi had to hold it together when Jeremy was in a coma," Odd said. "Yeah. His XANA-induced coma," Brock said. William does a double-take. "What the fuck? XANA-induced coma? Since when?" Then William hears another voice. At least you didn't cause that one. William holds his head. "Are you okay?" Yumi asks. "Yeah," William said. Nicholas and Allison start their presentation. Mr. Furmet and Ms. Hertz both graded the project. As the pair talks, Don takes notes on the presentation, which Dawn and Ash find that strange. "Now, we are going to demonstrate a theory," Allison said. She and Nicholas put on PPE and opened all the windows. Charlie looks at the bricks on the table and is puzzled. Don sees the Trisodium Phosphate on the table and screams. "That's enough!" "Excuse me?" Mr. Furmet asks. "These children have taken a historical period and have made it into Shit Busters!" "Myth Busters?" Nicholas corrects. "I think we should end this!" Don Stoned shouts as he leaves. Ms. Hertz dismisses the class and tries to call Don back to apologize to Allison and Nicholas. "Allison, please don't let yourself or Nicholas get discouraged," Mr. Furmet said. "It was excellent. Plus, you have started to speak up, Allison." "Thank you," Allison and Nicholas said. Moments later, Allison reflects. "We did all this fucking work, and a random ass man had an adult tantrum and shut this down!" "I know. It took us five fucking hours to make the solution from scratch," Nicholas said. "How did you make it?" Ulrich asks. "One of my parents' college friends has a lab here, and he let us use it to make it. He thought it would help boost our science grade," Allison said. "And heaven knows I need it," Nicholas said. "Well, I still want to see the result," Charlie said. "Okay," Nicholas said. The pair demonstrate pouring the solution into a cup and using a brush to scrub the brick until, "Gold!" Odd shouts. "We studied a theory that the gold was in the fireplaces in the old houses, but still," Nicholas said. "Didn't mom and dad tell us a similar story?" Ash J said. "They did. The same person had the same idea, but the only difference is that a monster was involved," Allison said. "So, the gold was coved in pounds of fireplace ash all this time," Ash said. "I guess so," Charlie said. Then Charlie gets a call. "An explosion?" "A what?" Aelita said. "I think we should head over there," Charlie said. "Yeah. Wait, who are we?" Nicholas asks. "You could get Sissi and Herve as well. They would hate to miss this," Allison said. Nicholas nods.
The group went to the old neighborhood and saw that several homes had been blown up. Charlie brings the police up to speed, and the police use the solution and discover, "Gold!" William exclaims. "Like the Headless Snowman in Winter Hollow," Officer Jenny said. Brock picks up some bricks and sees Don Stoned talking on a tablet. The man on the tablet has a Swiss accent and looks disheveled. "I found the right gold. It was in the old houses," Don said. "How?" professor Tyron asks. "One of those fuckers. She and a classmate were presenting in the neighborhood and were trying to prove the brick theory. I caused a scene to stop it and started the plan." "Wow! even when they don't go to Lyoko, they are a pain!" Brock gasps and runs back. William talks to odd. "A year ago, Jeremy was in a now we are a part of history." "Yeah. XANA did a number on Jeremy. It happened during an RTTP, and Allison found him. Thank goodness that Jeremy used the RTTP to change that. But we still have to live with it,' Odd said. William nods. "I wonder if we can keep a bar or three?" "Right! I need to save up for adult life," Odd chuckles. Allison is still upset that Don acted like an SOB. Allison picks up a gold brick and overhears Charlie telling the neighborhood president that she will ensure everyone gets their fair share. Then Charlie talks to Allison and Nicholas. "Thanks for being curious," Charlie said. "Thanks for letting us finish," Nicholas said. "Thank you as well. Also, where does Don Stoned work? I want to avoid future internships at his office," Allison asks. "Oh, L.T. industries," Charlie said. 'What is that?" Nicholas asks. "It is in Switzerland. Many people at Lowell Tyron Industries are into historical mysteries, and Don heard about your report." Allison gulps and walks to the group. "Guys," Brock said. "That guy works for Tyron." "I can confirm. He came because he heard about the presentation," Allison said. "Why?" Dawn asks. William sees something shiny in the gold bar that Allison holds. "What are those codes?" Jeremy takes a picture of them. "The program that Franz Hopper created to keep XANA in line." "But he never used it because of the Men in Black," Aelita said. Don enters a limo and sees Laura. "You keep doing your job, and things will work out," Don said. "Thank you. They didn't even know that Waldo hid important data in his gold stash and hid them among the Dépree's gold." "Soon, the world will be ours," Don said. "So, Tyron wants to control XANA or make his version," Ulrich said. "Give us a day, then we are returning to Lyoko," Aelita said. "It takes two to tango and a third to burn," Dawn said.
The program to control XANA in gold, how about that? Plus, will the Lyoko Warriors be able to beat both Tyron and XANA? Also, what about Laura? She needs to be stopped. Only time will tell. Oh, what's this? A room? Cute, wait, it is taken over the narration! Help!
