The Lyoko Warriors are en route to the Volcano Replika. "It is located deep into the digital sea," Aelota says as she drives the Skid. "We haven't been to this part of the sea before, right?" Yumi asks. "No. It is new." "Once we're there, will we destroy the corresponding supercomputer?" Dawn asks. "Not yet," Jeremy said. "We want to explore the place first. We need to see if we can get information on XANA so Aelita and I can alter the MAS and destroy XANA once and for all." "I wonder how Tyron and his spy found out about this place?" William asks. "Tyron might have found it as we did," Brock said. The "ocean" turns red, and sharks start to swim toward the group. "The seafood express," Ulrich said. "With the catch of the day," Odd chimes in. "Ulrich and odd! The jokes," Allison laughs. "(Chuckling) Navskis away," Aelita said. Brock comes face to face with a shark, and he shoots a laser at it. "Brock, there is one more behind you," Jeremy said. "Where?" Brock asks. "Behind you." Brock turns on the camera in his Navskid and sees nothing. "Focus, Brock," he said to himself. Brock places his hand on the marker and instantly hears everything around him. Ulrich has triplicated himself and is taking down a shark while Yumi chases another. Brock listens out for the shark and hears it. "Bullseye!" Brock shoots the shark down. "Nice one," Jeremy compliments. William is dodging buildings as he is shaking the shark. "I wish I could super-smoke my way around. Wait! I can!" William places his hand on the hand marker, and off he goes. He catches up to the shark and bam! The shark is gone. The "ocean" is blue again. "Alright, let's go!" Aelita said.
The "ocean" around the Volcano Replika is tense. There are high rip currents around, and "rocks" float back and forth around the area. "It looks creepy," Allison said. "It does," Ulrich said. "Breaks!" Aelita commands. "Why are we stopping?" Yumi asks. "There is a shield that Jeremy has to break." "With a special program that tricks the Replika into letting you in," Jeremy said. Jeremy launches the program, the shield is gone, and the Lyoko Warriors enter the Replika. It is a volcanic "continent" consisting of volcanoes, lava rivers, and pits. There are many obstacles and lava flows throughout this area. "It looks like a volcano amusement park," Odd said. "Amusement park of Horror," Yumi adds. "Be careful. The ground is tricky. You can only go on foot," Jeremy said. The Warriors leave the Skid and look around the Replika. "Is it active all the time?" Ash asks. "I think so. We should go slowly and head for a tower," Aelita said. "Which one?" Brock asks. "Maybe the one in the center," Dawn points out. "I think so too. All of the lava flows in and out of the central crater," William said. The group moves slowly and sees the bubbling lava shoot over their heads. "Force Field!" Allison commands, and she protects the group. "Is there a way to track the eruptions?" "There is," Jeremy said. As the group wanders around, Jeremy notifies them of two more eruptions, and they hide behind rocks. The Warriors enter the tower area, and Aelita steps into the tower. "Inside the tower is red," Aelita said. "It should be," Jeremy said. Aelita starts digging around and sees a log of every attack ever that XANA has done. "Every attack. Milly's teddy bear, the fog, the wolves, the first possession, everything. "Even me?" William asks. "Even you. Why?" "I am getting flashbacks about the explosion." "We're sorry for not telling you," Ash said. "I understand we have to move forward, but I lost months of my life. I should know everything in between," William said. "True. However, XANA didn't cause the Pokemon attacks at the soccer game. There is nothing there," Aelita said. "So, was it bait? To make sure we come back to Lyoko?" Yumi asks. "I thought so." "Why?" "It missed trying to kill us," Ulrich said. "I didn't!" Dawn said. Aelita forwards some data to Jeremy about XANA's upgrades. Allison turns around and sees Volcanoids. They have lava surging through their veins. They can blow lava out of their heads and mouths. They have two legs, a large Eye of XANA on their foreheads, and a turtle-like shell. "Guys?" "What about the krab attacks?" Yumi asks. "Which one?" William asks. "Or the time Mr. Delmas was possessed and kidnapped Yumi and me," Odd said. "Guys! Shut up and look!" Allison screams. They all turn around and see the monsters. "What the fuck?" Ash said. "Do you think they shoot lava?" Odd asks. One of the monsters shoots lava chucks at the ground, and they all run in opposite directions. "Aelita, hurry up!" Dawn shouts.
"What is going on?" Aelita asks from the tower. "XANA has sent new monsters out," Jeremy said. "Should I go out there?" "Not yet. They can handle it. We are almost done." On the ground, the Warriors hide in a cave as the Volcanoids circle the cave. "We need a plan. There are three walking volcanos out there," Odd said. "They look like Golem," Ash points out. "Too bad nobody has any water-based abilities; it could have helped," Brock said. "Maybe?" William questions. "What?" Allison asks. "If we can get them to one point, we can push them into lava." "We can try. If not, we need to find a weak point," Yumi said. Yumi goes out; first, she throws one of her fans at one of the Volcanoids, but it burns it. Jeremy quickly gives her another one. "The target is on its back, but we can't get to it," Yumi explains. "Then, we will go on the defense," Ulrich said. He allows one of the Volcanoids to chase him, and Dawn follows. Ulrich uses his katana to cut boulders down to redirect the Volcanoid. The monster stops and shoots out lava, but Dawn uses her Poi Stick to send it back, which causes the beast to lose balance, and Ulrich cuts another boulder which sends the monster to its doom. At the same time, Odd climbs on top of a boulder and waits for his cue. Allison and Brock try to distract the monster so Odd can shoot it in the center. "We need it to "empty" its lava so Odd can shoot it," Brock said. "I can do that," Allison said. She flies up and shoots plasma beams at the monster. The monster shoots upward at Allison, but she flies back down, using her force field as protection. Brock shoots two arrows to stun the beast. "Kowabunga!" Odd shouts as he hits three laser arrows and destroys the monster. "Nice; I have to see if there is a way to temporarily remove the lava from the Volcanoids to increase the chances of success," Jeremy said. Yumi, William, and Ash are defending the way tower from the third Volcanoid. "Jeremy, the monster is trying to hit the tower," William said. "I see that. If the tower dies, all of the data that Aelita has collected will be gone," Jeremy said. "What happens to Aelita if she is inside the tower?" Ash asks. "I will get painful shocks and get de-virtualized," Aelita said. "I heard that we need to attack second," Yumi said. "Yes. That seems to be the most effective way to defeat the monster," Jeremy said. "Here it comes," Ash said. "We need to protect the tower," William said. "I know. Yum, can you bring a boulder over here? I will bring one too so we can protect the tower," Ash said. "Sure," Yumi said. When the boulders are set, the Volcanoid strikes and hits the boulders. William uses Super Smoke to get close to the monster. Is this the way to treat your second home? William freezes but hears Dawn's voice. "Do it," Dawn calls out. William stabs the monster in the eye. The replika shakes, and lava starts to flow everywhere. "We need to head back to the skid," Ulrich states. Aelita exits the tower as lava begins to surround it. Aelita activates her wings and flies back to the Skid, and the Lyoko Warriors take off.
"We have found new data to create an upgraded MAS to defeat XANA," Jeremy said. "When will it be ready?" William asks. "In a few days. We first have to sever the ties between XANA and the Cortex." "So that means we need to talk to Tyron?" Ash asks. "Yeah. If we explain that XANA is a threat, he may understand," Aelita said. "Doesn't it matter that he knows XANA is dangerous and wanted to control it or make a copycat," Odd said. "If we appeal to the fact that XANA will interfere with his work, he might reconsider," Dawn said. "I hope so." The next day, the Warriors head for class when Allison gets a phone call from her mother. At the same time, Laura approaches the group. "Isn't it lovely?" "Are you okay?" Yumi asks. "Yeah. I think all is right with the world, and we will win." "Who are we?" Laura stops herself. She is at her "high state" and needs to cover her intentions. "I mean the youth of France. We will conquer the world." "I think that is weird," Ash said. "Well, it is not like there are volcano monsters out that shoot lava." "Well, Magmar came from a volcano but other than that," Brock said. "I meant something else," Laura said. Laura skips away, and Yumi, Brock, and Ash look confused. "She is up to something," Ash said. "Or her ass is high as a kite," Yumi said. "Mom! Slow down! What is going on?" Allison asks. "I don't have time to explain. If someone from L.T. Industries tries to contact you or your brother or your cousins, let me know," Daphne said. "Why?" "The reason is that a woman who claims to be Anthea called me a few times from a burner phone." "What!" "It sounds like her, and she is in distress. She thinks Aelita has lived with us for years." "But-" "Look, I don't have all the answers, but please listen to me." "Okay, love you." "Love you too." "Allison, what was that?" Jeremy asks. "Anthea has contacted my mom," Allison said. "My mother?" Aelita startles. "Yeah. She thought you were sent to live with my family after she was kidnapped, which didn't happen." "What else?" "She is in danger, and L.T. Industries is a threat to society." Everyone looks tense. Laura calls Professor Tyron. "They went back, now, they can deal with XANA, and that leaves an opening for us." "Of course. Drug her!" Professor Tyron commands. "Is that Aelita's mother?" "Yes. She is a bitch and can't follow directions." "What a shame. At least her daughter doesn't know about her." "Change of plans. Some of us will head for the Cortex to talk to Tyron. The rest are going to track down the spy," Jeremy said as everyone nodded in agreement.
Whoa! The Volcano Replika is the home of XANA. Also, what a twist! Daphne warns her daughter about Tyron, and Aelita knows that her mother is trying to contact someone for help. Plus, Laura knows about Anthea, and Tyron is torturing her! What a game-changer!
