Author's Note: To be honest, this story started off very fast paced which I'm not entirely happy with. and my writing wasn't great especially in the first few chapters. But this was the first story I got attached to, so I am going to try to finish it. I contemplated rewriting it to improve the story, but I no longer have the interest in the Flash that I once had since the writers ruined the show. I may write other Flash stories in the future, but they will most likely be one-shots because I don't think I have enough inspiration for another Flash multi-chapter story. I will also try to update Half Mine soon, but I figured New Attractions should be first.
Also, I've noticed quite a few mistakes while reading the story but I'm too lazy to change them. I should let you guys know that my writing style has changed somewhat, you may notice this after the next chapter (I wrote this chapter a while ago so it might not have much of a change). There probably won't be too many chapters, I have worked on an outline, and I anticipate a maximum of 5 more chapters.

Chapter 15: Saving Ashmi
Thea and Roy walk into the room. "Why does everybody look like someone just died?" Thea jokes after seeing their sullen faces. "Because somebody did," Damon replies gloomily. "Wait, where's Ashmi?" Roy asks in a worried tone. Caitlin's eyes shift towards Ashmi's body. Roy and Thea follow her gaze. Roy is frozen in shock and Thea squeezes his hand tightly.
The veins on her wrist become more prominent and Stefan's face begins to change. Damon holds his brother back. "I know you're hungry. Come on." He ushers his brother out. "We'll be back soon." Cisco and Caitlin explain what happened to Roy and Thea. Barry still has not moved from his position on the floor. He is sitting with his head in his hands and sobbing.
Ten minutes later the Salvatore brothers return. "We'll take our sister. She'll be buried in our family crypt in Mystic Falls," Damon says as calmly as possible. "That's it? That's it?" Barry repeats getting louder each time. "All of you have these extraordinary powers that I still don't understand and you're telling me there's nothing we can do for her? There's nothing to bring her back?"
"If there was something, don't you think we would have tried it? Do you know what I'm losing? You can fall in love again, get married, have kids… but that's my little sister and she's gone, and I can never have that back. She was the last real chance for the Salvatores, the rest of our family is dead. My sister is one of the most powerful people in the world, it would take more power than I can gather in time to bring her back. I've thought about everything I can do, and I don't know how to fix this!" Damon shouts back angrily.
"Wait…" Jackson swallows, "What about the Lazarus pits?"
Thea and Jackson tell them about the Lazarus pits without warning them of the consequences of bringing someone back to life.
"Let's go," Barry says, "Now." He picks up Ashmi's body and begins running. The rest of the gang quickly gathers supplies and Cisco opens a portal, and everyone jumps through it (including Jeremy sneakily). Ten minutes later, everyone is on the island of Nanda Parbat. "I couldn't get any closer because of the magic surrounding this place," Cisco explains.
The reach the doors and it is suspiciously quiet. "Why have you come here?" A loud voice booms. The gang turns around to see the Demon King behind them. "We have come to seek your aid," Cisco explains diplomatically. "If you offer up your champion and he or she defeats my warrior then you may seek my aid in exchange of something else, but your champion cannot be as a result of unnatural experiments." He eyes Barry in his Flash costume as well as the other metahumans and supernatural beings. "So, who is your champion?" He asks with an evil smirk. Barry frowns in worry, their possibilities have lessened considerably – It can't be a metahuman, anyone brought back the Lazarus pit or the supernatural beings. Roy is also ruled out because of the Mirakuru serum that had entered his body previously. That leaves the only fully human, decent fighter in their squad being Diggle. While Diggle is amazing, he's no match for the Demon's head. Oliver just managed to beat him. "Who is your champion then?" He asks again with a smug tone.
"I am," Jeremy says, coming out of the shadows. Damon objects immediately. "Look this is my fault, let me fix it. You and Stefan can't fight here, this fighting ring has the same barrier Mystic Falls used to have. Caitlin and Cisco aren't experienced in combat. Both the Flash and Arsenal have had unnatural experiments at some points, I did my research. And Thea and Sara were brought back by the Lazarus Pit so that just leaves me and the other guy. And you know I am the more experienced fighter. I will fight for her, or I will die for her. You know I will."
Damon starts to get angry, but Stefan and Barry stop him. "Let him do it," Barry says, his eyes prickling, "He owes her this."
He enters the fighting ring and after a long hard battle, only one champion remains. They all smile in relief, Jeremy won. They dunk Ashmi into the water and five minutes later she jumps out of the pit with a crazed look in her eye. "W-what's going on?" Damon asks. Ashmi falls to the floor. "She is just sleeping. I have fulfilled my part of the deal, now you must fulfil yours."
"What is it that you want?"
"Your blood."
Everyone looks at him shocked. "I know what you are," He looks Damon in the eyes, "I want a good supply of your blood." He hands him a knife. "You can start by filling up that jug."
Damon and nods and completes his task.
They all return to STAR Labs. Barry places Ashmi on the bed and Caitlin checks her vitals. "She's healthy. She's just sleeping, don't worry," Caitlin reassures the worried visitors at Ashmi's bedside.
Thea and Roy exchange a glance in worry. Stefan notices and eyes them curiously. "What was that?" "N-nothing," Thea replies nervously. "You can tell us of your own free will, or we can compel you to tell us," Damon threatens and narrows his eyes at them.
Roy swallows. "There are consequences to using the Lazarus Pit to bring someone back. They come back with a bloodlust and the bloodlust is only satisfied when they kill the one who killed them."
"You idiots!" Stefan growled, "She sacrificed herself for me. She killed herself, the bloodlust will only be satisfied when she kills herself. How are we supposed to prevent that? As powerful as Damon and I are, as powerful as Barry is, it won't matter. She's stronger than us, smarter than us and older than all of you. She's more experienced in the world of supernatural than almost anyone I know."
"Almost anyone?" Cisco asks.
"Yes," Stefan replies, "Niklaus Mikaelson, he's the original hybrid. He's powerful and lived for many years, if there's anyone that knows how to prevent her from killing herself, it's him."
"So, why can't we ask him?" Roy asks.
"Ashmi hates him. He made her believe Kol was dead for a whole century."
"Who's Kol?" Barry asks.
"Ashmi didn't tell you?" Damon's eyes widen and Barry shakes her head. "He's the love of her life," Damon says and places a hand on Barry's shoulder sympathetically. Barry frowns.
"I'm going to call Klaus… It doesn't matter if she hates him. I'd rather have her alive to hate me than dead.
Stefan re-enters the room a few minutes later. "He says there's a way, but it's a dark magic ritual and some of her power will be sucked from her soul as payment. She won't be as powerful anymore, but she'll be alive."
"Let's do it," Barry says immediately.
"I don't think it's a good idea for you to be involved in this. We'll find someone else… Dark magic, it taints your soul forever. Ashmi would never forgive me if I let you do this."
"Well, it's a good thing you don't let me do anything," Barry says stubbornly, "I'm helping save her. What do you guys need?"
"We have everything we need here minus a few ingredients, but Damon's girlfriend is on the way here with it. We'll meet at Ashmi's apartment in an hour, but only Barry and Jeremy can come."
The others begin to object but Damon fixes them with a glare. "It's for your own safety and to make sure no interferes and screws up. Plus, we don't want any of you pissing off the wrong supernatural and getting killed."
An hour later, Barry and Jeremy enter Ashmi's apartment and place her body on the make-shift altar. "Bonnie," Jeremy greets her curtly. "Jeremy," She offers him a small smile. "What's with you two?"
"We used to date."
"What happened?"
"Things got between us… death mostly," He chuckles darkly, "It's a long, complicated story but who knows Ashmi may just think I'm worthy of forgiveness and I'll tell you all about it over a round of drinks."
Barry nods.
"Okay so I've done all the difficult things, all we have to do now is add the blood. Blood of a traitor," She eyes Jeremy, "Blood of the innocent." Stefan raises his eyebrow when she looks at him. "I know it's not exactly true… That's just the translation into English. It just means the one who her soul was sacrificed for."
"Blood of the brother," She gestures to Damon. Then she turns to Barry, "And finally blood of a lover."
Barry's face turns a shade of red. "We haven't actually uh…" He shifts awkwardly. "Wait, are you trying to say you guys haven't slept together?" Jeremy asks shocked. "Well great, what are we supposed to do now?" Stefan slaps his forehead, "Never thought I'd be wishing that my sister slept with a guy."
Bonnie laughs. "We could ask Kol." Everyone looks at her in shock. "I just heard yesterday through the witch network that his mother brought him back to life about a month ago."
"And you didn't think to mention this?" Damon sighs. "Call Klaus, tell him we need Kol."
Author's Note: Thanks to everyone that stuck with this story. Next chapter they bring back Ashmi. Then there will be a chapter of Mystic Raven/Flash flashbacks, a chapter of Barry Ashmi and then an epilogue to give the story a proper ending and address any questions.
