A/N: this chapter is based off of episode 77 and 78 of CaptainSparklez's Mianitian Isles video. Of course as this is a fanfic, it's going to differ from the video.

Chapter 48

In the morning after breakfast, we met with the others at the Isle of Gathering and I told them of my potions advancements. They were just as surprised as Dec, but they were also impressed. After that, nothing eventful really happened. We all just continued preparing for the war and for the Olympics. A month passed and the ring I bought from the jeweller in Grandpa's and Grandma's village was ready. I asked Ianite to teleport me there. She was curious, but teleported me. I went from Grandma and Grandpa's house to the jeweller and picked up the ring. He also made the wedding bands that we'd need. I paid him the amount, which is just as ridiculous as the cost of the engagement ring. I went to Grandma's and Grandpa's house to show them. I knocked on the door and waited. Grandma opened the door today.

"Phoenix! What a surprise. Where are Ianite and Gandus?"

"They're back home. I had to come pick up the engagement ring and wedding bands."

"Ooohh, I see, I see! Come in, I'm sure Ernest would love to see them." I smiled and followed Grandma to the living room. "Ernest, Phoenix is here. She's just picked up her engagement ring and wedding bands."

"Oh, let me see." I showed the both of them the ring and bands. They were excited and happy. They loved the ring, thought it was very pretty. It really is. It's everything I imagined it would look like. After I showed them and caught up with them, telling them of my potions exploits and whatnot, I put the ring and bands in the ender chest in their guest room and communicated to Ianite to bring me back. I hugged Grandma and Grandpa goodbye and was teleported. Another couple months went by and I'm sure this is the time when the Olympics will be. This is about the timeline Aianite said it would be. After breakfast, we all met up at the Isle of Gathering. We talked about strategies for the war and how we will work together. As the morning went on, I felt power. I stood, having a serious look on my face.

"You feel that too, Nix?" Ianite asked, standing as well. I nodded. The others stood and once the last of us stood, we saw what looked to be like floating crystals, surrounded by some protective layer. I looked on in awe. I looked over to Tom's base.

"Orb of Wisdom." I looked over to Karl's base. "Orb of Courage." Finally, I looked over to Sparky's base. "Orb of Love." I gave a small chuckle. "Fitting." The others chuckled as well.

"Phoenix, how do you know all this?" Mianite asked.

"I'm psychic, plus, I'm also the High Priestess. I also have powers, I'm almost on the same level as you gods." Mianite watched me for a bit with a slight look, then looked back to the Champions. "Your task as Champions, as well as Dec's and mine, is to defend these Orbs. I can feel a mighty force approaching. Darkness is coming, his army at full force. I cannot use my fire powers, sadly. He'll have prepared for that and given his troops fire resistance potions. All I can do is use potions myself, use my soul magic, and use weapons. Let's armor up. We'll need it." We all armored up and the gods disappeared and hovered well above us, keeping an eye on everything below them.

We got out our most powerful weapons and got ready to defend. Dec is helping Karl, as Karl is the only Mianitee. As the troops came closer, a powerful wave of presences overwhelmed me, almost knocking me off my feet. There's so many! We fought as hard as we could. We came up with the plan of once the soldiers get knocked out, one of us ties them up while the other continues fighting to cover the one's back. It was a long, hard battle, and even the foxes joined in eventually, and we were able to win this battle. I felt Darkness' presence. He was not happy at all. He managed to teleport every one of his soldiers away. I growled.

"Dammit! He took them away!"

"It's no matter. If they return, we'll be able to defeat them again," Sparky reassured. I sighed.

"We will, but they'll also be stronger. We gotta keep training, keep up with the Darkness' troops. After the Olympics, though. We've protected these Orbs, we did our job. Now... now I think we've reached Olympics time." I felt Aianite's presence.

"You would be correct, Nix. All of you will soon be teleported to Asgard, where the Olympics will be held. Everyone who will be attending to watch is travelling there now. You all will be able to look around Asgard until the start of the Olympics."

"I can't wait!" Tom proclaimed. I nodded. Asgard, huh? One by one, I could feel each of my friends' presences disappear as they were teleported. I was last. We were teleported to a campsite, just outside of Asgard's gates. We were to stay the night here, as it was getting late. That battle took a very long time, not surprisingly. Darkness had a lot of troops. The Dianitees and Ianitees shared tents and Karl roomed with Dec. The gods had their own tents. As I settled into my sleeping bag,

"Hey, just like old times, eh? When we roomed together when I first joined your group." Sparky gave a small chuckle.

"Yup, just like old times. This time, though we've got an extra Champion. Speaking of, I'd normally worry about someone rooming with Tom, but Gandus is different. She'll totally give back what Tom does, maybe two-fold." I snickered.

"Oh, I'm sure. But I think Tom is smart enough not to mess with Gandus, given that she used to be our enemy."

"I wouldn't underestimate Tom's prankster side." After that, we heard a surprised yelp from Tom. Jordan and I laughed.

"I think Gandus got to him first." Sparky nodded.

"Oi, you two! Bed! You too Jordan, Phoenix!" Dianite scolded. Sparky and I snickered, at least we're not the only ones getting in trouble. I felt Mianite's smugness because his Champion is being well behaved. Eventually, we all settled down and got to sleep. In the morning, I got up before everyone, unsurprisingly. I made my way out of the tent quietly, making sure not to wake Sparky up. I used my presence sensing to check on Ianite. She seems to be sleeping peacefully. I don't feel any panic. I sighed of relief.

I went around, seeing if there was food for me to make for everyone. I finally found the food chest. I also found some logs and stone to make a campfire. I brought them over to the shoreline and set up a soulfire campfire. I started making a big breakfast. We need the nutrition and energy for today's events. Sausage, eggs, pancakes, and toast. As I cooked, Sparky and Ianite came over to me.

"Morning Nix," they greeted.

"Mornin'. Got a big breakfast cookin' up for all of us. We need it."

"I'll say. Breakfast fit for Champions," Sparky quipped. I chuckled.

"And gods. Even Ianite can have this. Except for the sausage."

"I'm sure I won't eat a lot though. That's a sizable breakfast you're making."

"I know the guys will eat the majority. You don't need to worry about that, love. Plus, I know you're not able to eat a lot." We continued the chatter as I cooked, and the others started coming over. I finished making breakfast and had Gandus and Karl set up the table and Sparky help me put everything on the table.

"Wow, what a spread!" Tom exclaimed. After Sparky and I got everything set and Gandus and Karl finished setting up the table,

"Alright everyone, dig in," I ordered. We all grabbed what we wanted and wasted no time tucking in. Unsurprisingly, the food was all eaten. Us Champions ate most of it, while the gods and Dec ate a fair portion. Tom cleaned off the table as Dec did up the dishes, Mianite drying and putting away. I went over to Ianite. "You doing ok, babe?"

"Yeah, I'm doing alright. Once Mianite and Dec are done with the dishes, us gods have to go to the Colosseum. You guys can take your time making it there, but also don't dilly-dally too long." I nodded. Tom, Karl, and Sparky all were messing around now. Ianite and I watched, amused. "Oh right, Nix, you 4 need to give us gods the Stones before we go. That way, we can award the winner after the Olympics are done."

I nodded, makes sense. Ianite set an ender chest down and I took out my Fire stone and gave it to her. She put it back in the ender chest, but now it's in her personal ender chest. Sparky noticed and came over.

"What's up?" I told Sparky what Ianite told me. He nodded and took out his Earth stone and gave it to Ianite. She put that in her ender chest as well. Karl and Tom came over. I reiterated what was said and they took out their stones. Mianite and Dianite came over. Karl gave the Water stone at the same time Tom gave his Air stone to Dianite. The two put the stones in the ender chest. I'm really glad that ender chests have the power that they do.

"Ok, now that we're all ready, we three will be off to the Colosseum. Gandus, Sparklez, Tom, Karl, as I told Nix, you all may look around Asgard, but do not dilly-dally too long. We need to get these games going." They nodded. With that, the gods disappeared and I led the group, Dec close behind me.

"Do you know where you're going, Phoenix?" Dec asked.

"No, but I can feel presences, remember. I'm just following the direction that I feel the gods' presences."

"Right..." He seemed a bit embarrassed that he forgot about my presence sensing.

~Sparklez's POV~

Karl, Tom, Gandus, and I are enough behind Phoenix that she won't be able to hear us talking to one another in low voices.

"Is it me, or is Phoenix really taking leadership recently? And not just because she's High Priestess." I asked.

"Maybe dating Ianite is really stepping up her desire to be a leader?" Karl guessed.

"Dunno, could be any reason, really," Tom said. Karl, Gandus, and I nodded.

"Also, did you hear her comment to Mianite about being almost on the same level of him and the other two?" Gandus asked, a little concerned. We nodded.

"That was weird, for sure," I said.

"We all know Phoenix, I'm sure that was an innocent mention," Karl said. We stayed silent after that comment.

~Normal POV~

We got through the gates and now we see the village that's settled before the Colosseum. We all were wowed by the sights. We stopped by a few places. The art museum, the ice cream shop, the coffee shop, and the restaurant. We didn't buy anything from the food places, of course. We just had a big breakfast. After we had our fun looking around, we headed off to the Colosseum. As we approached, we were stunned by its size and majesty.

When we entered through the archway, we were greeted by cheers of everyone here. I swear, everyone in this world is here, obviously except Darkness and his army. I felt every single one of these people's presences, and boy was it overwhelming... well... now I have to learn to tone down my presence sensing, but not until after I recover from my splitting headache from feeling everyone's presences at once, and after having been literally knocked off my feet this time.
