Chapter 51

In the morning, I made a more relaxed breakfast. Just eggs and toast. As I was cooking, Gandus came over to me.

"Hey, Nix?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm thinking I should probably move out now. You and Ianite are engaged now and I'm more reformed than when I first joined." I smiled.

"You are. You're doing so well, my sister, my Champion. I'm proud of you, you know that, right?" Gandus smiled and nodded. "Well, now the question is, where will you settle your house down?"

"I've been thinking and exploring, and I think I found a great island near Sparklez."

"Ooo, ok. You'll totally have to show me when we get back later this morning."

"For sure." I felt Ianite's presence come closer. I looked behind me and smiled at her before turning back to the cooking.

"Good morning, beautiful."

"Good morning, my love. Good morning Gandus." Ianite hugged me from behind, holding on close, her arms around my waist.

"Mornin' Ianite. So, whenever we have things that need the gods, do you both need to really sleep in different tents?"

"No, just for here we needed to."

"Gotcha." The guys started to come over now as I finished cooking breakfast. Ianite let go of me and sat at the table. We did the same thing we did yesterday. After packing up, Ianite gave me the coords to teleport to through private communication. All 4 of us gods, man that felt weird to say, teleported and then teleported our Champions to us.

"That was weird seeing you teleport alongside the gods, Nix," Sparky and Gandus commented. I nodded.

"It was weird for me too, but we'll get used to it as time goes on." Everyone nodded. "So, show me the island you'd found?" Gandus brought me to the shoreline of the Isle of Gathering and we took a boat. Gandus took us past Sparky's island and went a little further. The island we docked at was a fair size.

"This is what I found. Decent size, enough room for me to build a decent house and have some crops of my own." I nodded.

"It looks very good. I can help you move if you want. I'm sure Ianite and Sparky wouldn't mind helping either, if you've got a lot of stuff."

"I don't have much. I'm sure I can move most of it. Might have a few things I might not be able to carry."

"Alright. I can carry those then." Gandus nodded. I made note of the coordinates and teleported us back to Ianite.

"How was the island?"

"It's really nice. It's also, as she said, not too far from Sparky's island. So if she needs something, she'll have someone not too far from her to go to." Ianite and Gandus nodded.

"I'll teleport you home with me Nix, before teleporting Gandus. I need to give you a list of important coords so that you can teleport like us." I nodded. Ianite teleported us both and wrote down the coords I'll need to remember and handed them to me.

"Thank you." Ianite teleported Gandus now.

"I need to rest now." Ianite went into our room. I watched her, concerned. This great battle can't come any sooner... I helped Gandus pack and teleported us to her island once we got everything. Gandus placed her double chest and put all unneeded items in it. She kept her building materials on her. Seemed like she planned this for a while, because she looks like she's got enough to build a decent house. I put the rest of her things in the double chest.

"I'm gonna go back home, check on Ianite." Gandus nodded.

"I'll be fine here. If I really need anything, I'll let you know." I nodded and teleported back home and walked into my and Ianite's room. I sat on Ianite's side, in front of her, and gently laid a hand on her cheek.

"You doing ok, my love?"

"I'll be fine. I just need to rest. These Olympics took a lot out of me, especially having put some of my power into my stone." I nodded, understandable, but Mianite and Dianite are fine. Though, then again, they aren't being affected by the Darkness' power. Well... I wonder about Dianite. He's changing, he is starting to look more Chaotic. Yeah, he's god of Chaos, but he never looked like that until now. I might have to do some digging, detective work. Oh wait, I can read my soulfire. It might be able to tell me what's happening. Later though. Right now, I need to be here for my girl. I got up and went over to my side of the bed, laying and facing her. She turned over and curled up against me. I held her.

"You're safe, my love. You always will be with me."

"I know. I always feel safe in your arms. Remember what I said that one time? That will never go away or fade." I smiled gently.

"I'm glad you feel that way with me. I never want to do anything you feel uncomfortable with. If I do, let me know and I won't do it again." Ianite nodded and put her head against my chest. She feels so small, so vulnerable right now, in my arms. I kissed the top of her head. We laid like that for quite a bit. Ianite had fallen asleep. I closed my eyes too, yesterday really was exhausting. We woke up a couple hours later. I smiled gently at her as she smiled lovingly at me. I kissed her. "Lunch?"

"In a bit. I wanna stay here with you." I nodded. I laid on my back and she laid half on, half off. Her left leg over me, the inner part of her leg against the outer side of my right, her left arm over me, and her head laying on the front of my shoulder, which probably feels weird against her cheek, because of the scarring. Her face is facing me.

"You're the top one again," I quipped. She giggled.

"Yes, I am, but now we're both equal in status." I nodded.

"Which is still weird to me. I never imagined becoming a demigoddess or full goddess, let alone even winning the games. I was sure Sparky would win. He was best candidate."

"It did seem so, but you also practiced a bunch to get ready. Who knows what could have happened? Other than Aianite. I wonder how she knew?" I shrugged. Her guess is as good as mine. We laid there in silence for a bit. "You're so amazingly gorgeous, Nix. Being a goddess does suit you."

"You really think so?"

"Of course. Especially with the powers you had as a mortal? The previous High Priestess' powers weren't as powerful as yours. Though she did say in her prophecy about you that you'd be even more powerful than her."

"She did. Maybe she knew in the back of her mind I would eventually become a goddess."

"Maybe," Ianite said quietly. I looked at her. She looks like she's thinking. I smiled gently and kissed her.

"Hey, don't dwell on it, ok? I became a goddess regardless. An amazingly gorgeous one, according to you," I winked. She grinned.

"Of course. You also have that goddess look too, now. Regal, powerful, strong, divine."

"Strong only for you though. I need to be, so that you can have peace of mind."

"And I do, now that you've come back. You're just as strong for me as you were back then."

"I'm glad. Any less and I'd have to do some solitary training, and I don't wanna separate from you, ever."

"Good, because being away from you that one time hurt."

"I'll never do that again. I gave my promise on that."

"Which I appreciate. I'm glad we both learned our lesson that time." I nodded, kissing her again. She propped herself up, so we could kiss easier. I paused enough to flip her over, now I hovered over her, both of my legs on each side of her and both my hands are on each of her cheeks.

"I'm glad we did too. Otherwise we'd never be able to love like this." I initiated the make out. She smiled into it. She agreed. After a little of making out, I could feel her desire rising. I paused again. "Do you want to? It's been enough time, I would believe."

"I want to." I nodded and we undressed and resumed our positions before we got undressed. I remembered what she did to me our first time. We made out again and I slowly, lightly ran the tips of my fingers down her side. She lightly moaned and shivered. "Nix..." I chuckled. I got to her forbidden area and lightly teased. "I keep those promises, babe." She gave me a look while smiling. She hovered over me now. She slowly and lightly ran her fingertips down my side. I shivered and gave a light moan. "My lady, what are these words?"

"I picked it up from you. At least you seem to be the type to tease that way."

"I am, but damn. You never seemed that type to me. To me, you seemed to be more on the shier side. Though, you are the goddess of Balance, so... I shouldn't really be surprised."

"Exactly. Balance, meaning I could be shy, or I could be bold. Depending on how I feel, but also, I've been around you so much, and am much more comfortable being like that with you." I nodded, made sense.

"So, how about showers then lunch?"

"Sounds good." We got showers and I made lunch for us. Just a couple sandwiches, nothing big.

"Oh, we can also take down the spare room, now that I sleep with you and Gandus moved out." Ianite nodded. After doing the dishes, we took down the spare room and placed windows where the room was.

"It looks weird being empty now, now that it had been there a while," Ianite commented. I nodded.

"It really does," I agreed.

"How about trying out your powers as a goddess now?" Ianite suggested. I nodded again. We went outside to a clearing and I brought forth my soulfire power. Ho-ly shit. It felt so much more powerful than before. Ianite was even surprised a little, despite knowing it would be more powerful. I used offensive moves, defensive moves, I made shapes and they were much bigger than before.

"Dude! And my soul barrier is much more powerful too, given what it was like when Darkness came raging after I became a goddess. Hmm, I wonder? My soul magic led me to help my village go to the Great Pastures, I wonder if I'll be seeing evil spirits, demons, and the like? I only saw good, lost spirits. With how long I had been able to use my soul magic, surely I would have seen the evil sort before becoming a goddess."

"How about not trying here?" She knows me too well, haha.

"Obviously. I don't wanna ruin our beautiful island with evil spirits." I flew up into the air and looked around. "We're secluded enough to venture out far enough from our island, but not too far. I don't want our location to get out. I respect your desire for privacy, always have. Hmm..." I motioned for Ianite to come up with me. She flew up next to me, I took her hand, flew a fair distance, and landed. "Do you think this is far enough away?" She looked behind us.

"Maybe some more... I appreciate you respecting my desire to keep our island private, but I also don't want the evil spirits finding it." I nodded, that sounded fair. We flew further away, until Ianite felt that we were good. We landed on the new island. I looked around, it kinda seemed a little sketchy. If I could see evil spirits, it feels like here would be the best place. Did Ianite know about this place? How did we just happen to land on this specific island? I looked at her questioningly. She looked back at me with a serious look on her face. Uh oh...
