Edit'd as best as I could, usual crap of me not owning anything other than the idea for this story, yadda yadda yadda, here's another chapter just for you!
A few days later, I woke up to the sound of whining made me roll over and put an arm around Aoife, she lifted her head a little and licked my shoulder.
The whining didn't stop though. I lifted my head and my heart dropped when I saw Tori's face through my laptop screen, scrunched up with tears on her cheeks.
"Vega," I said, loud enough that she'd hopefully hear. "It's okay babe. I'm right here."
Her face softened a little and I glanced at the time on the corner of my screen. It was a little after four, and I know that once I'm awake, I won't have much of a chance of falling back asleep.
Tori sleepily reached out, her hand resting on her laptop. "Jade?" She murmured sleeping, causing my heart to clench.
"I'm here, it's okay. Sleep, baby. It's okay."
"Can you sing to me?" She whispered, her eyes flickering open and shut a few times.
"Sing?" I asked, sitting up a little, smiling as Aoife moved closer to my side as I pulled my laptop onto my lap and stroked my fingers through Aoife's fur.
"Please?"
"Sure, Vega. What song?"
"You choose, please?"
"I used to sing this song to Riley to help him fall asleep, uh, give me a minute, I have the instrumental somewhere on my phone."
She nodded and I reached for my phone, searching through my music for the song I wanted before pressing play, the soft sound of the guitar filling my room.
"Goodnight big moon, sweet dreams baby, if I could have one wish tonight, it would be that, you'd always keep, keep the starlight in your eyes," I sang, watching as Tori snuggled back down into her bed.
My fingers itched to be running through her hair, but I clenched them around my blanket and kept singing.
"One day you'll grow up, one day you'll walk out, in this big world on your own. And there will be days when, your heart'll break and, swear that all your strength is gone. But then you'll find a way to carry on."
Her eyelids shut a few times heavily, and I smiled softly.
"Heaven knows that it's a crazy ride, it's never perfect all the time, it'll pull you down and send you flying, so baby hold on tight, on this crazy ride. So don't be scared when you're in the darkness, the sun is swallowed by the ground, you think it's gone but it's hanging on, it's just on the other side of town. Even when it's lost, it can be found."
I shifted a little in my bed, laying back down as I finished the song off, not minding that tori had already started to snore lightly.
"Heaven knows that it's a crazy ride, it's never perfect all the time, it'll pull you down and send you flying, so baby hold on tight, on this crazy ride.
Heaven knows that it's a crazy ride, It's never perfect all the time. You know it's just a crazy ride, it's never perfect all the time. It'll pull you down and send you flying, so baby hold on tight, on this crazy ride. Goodnight big moon, Sweet dreams, baby."
"I love you," Tori murmured in her sleep before snoring once more.
My heart sped up, making my smile widen. "I love you too, Vega."

By the time Tori actually woke up, it was just after ten in the morning. I'd already been up and had three coffee's, eaten breakfast with Riley and my mum and finished two assigned homework booklets.
I looked up as I heard the shuffling over the call and smiled as Tori stretched and groaned.
"Good morning, Vega," I said, taking a sip of my fourth coffee.
"Mmm, nope," she groaned, rolling away from her laptop. "Too early."
"Early? Well, I guess you don't want to come to the movies with me for the opening of the new Harley Quinn movie?"
"Oh?" She glanced over her shoulder.
"Yeah, a ticket before they actually open. My father won it at work and gave it to me."
"When?"
"Today, do you want to come with me?"
"You askin' me on a date?" Tori asked playfully.
I rolled my eyes as I smiled and sighed, pretending to be annoyed.
"Tori, my sweet sweet wife and love of my life… Would you like to go on a date with me today?" I asked, causing her to roll and face the laptop properly.
"Jade, I would love to. What time?"
I glanced at the clock on the wall above the coffee maker and then back at Tori. "Two hours, I'll come pick you up and we can go out before to get some snacks and some lunch?"
Nodding, Tori sat up, running a hand through her hair. "Okay baby. I'd love to, do you want to stay on the call?"
"I should probably go get ready also, I'll text you when I'm out of the shower though."
"Okay Jade, I love you. See you soon, baby. Drive safe."
"See you soon, Vega."

Sitting in the middle of the theatre, I rested the drink in the cup holder on the armrest between us as Tori reclined her seat, the popcorn bucket resting between her legs as she put a hand on the armrest.
"You okay?" I asked, and Tori nodded as stage lights slowly dimmed. I rested my hand on hers, feeling the way she flipped her hand over and slipped her fingers between the gaps of mine.
I leaned over, pressing a kiss to her cheek as the advertisements started.

When the movie was over, Tori and I walked out of the theatre, she stopped at the sight of the arcade.
"Wanna play?" I asked, and she looked at me.
"Do we have time?"
"Yeah, Vega. We have time, all the time in the world when we're together, babe."
"Jade," she whispered, tossing the empty popcorn bucket in the closest trash can. "That's gay."
I rolled my eyes, shaking my head with a smile, handing her the drink. "I'm just going to the bathroom, I'll be right back, okay?"
"But… I need to go too," she said, pouting.
Keeping our hands together, we walked towards the bathrooms.
"You go first," I said, reaching for the drink again after she took a sip of it.
She handed me the drink and her bag before stepping into one of the stalls.
I leaned against the wall across from the stall Tori was occupying, pulling my phone from my pocket as I sipped on the drink.
My stomach rolled uneasily as I got a notification on The Slap. Tori and I hadn't really used the school's social app that much since we were outed so abruptly, but when I saw we were both tagged, I had to click.
A picture of Tori and I kissing in the car popped up on my screen and I frowned before I scrolled and saw a picture of her and I headed into the bathroom just now.
' Tori Vega, fatter from guilt of stealing Beck's girlfriend? '
Whoever wrote this caption needs a pair of scissors through the eyeball.
"You okay?"
I lifted my head, nodding as I saw Tori washing her heads.
"Yeah, Vega. I'm good."
"Crinkle," she said, tapping my forehead between my eyebrows.
"Stupid crinkle," I murmured, handing her the bag, my phone and our drink before going into the stall she'd vacated.
"Your phone is buzzing wildly, babe."
"Can you just turn it off, please? I don't care. Whoever needs me that badly can call you."
I flushed the toilet and adjusted my clothing before coming out of the stall, washing my hands and looking at Tori as she frowned at her phone.
"You saw it."
"The Slap? Yeah, I saw it. Why didn't you say something?"
"It's - I don't know, I'm sorry. It's creepy, I think we should talk to your father tonight."
"Do you think I'm fat?" Tori asked, looking down at her stomach that was barely showing through the hoodie she'd stolen from my car.
"You? Fat? Are you insane? You're so beautiful, Tori!" I grabbed her hand, leading her out of the bathrooms, shaking my head. "If I see whoever is posting these photos, I'm going to destroy them."
Tori grinned and wrapped her arms around me as we stepped out of everyone's way, nestled behind a beam so no one could run into us.
"I love you, Jade."
"I love you too, Tori. You're not fat, please don't ever think that. For one, you're growing a child, and second, you are so insanely beautiful. I fall more and more in love with you every single day. You make my mornings better when I wake beside you, or even when we're on call. As long as I wake with you there in some way, and sleep by you… You make everything better."
Tori's eyes shined lightly in the bright drop lights as a few tears sprung up and rested there, waiting to be shed.
I pulled her into a tighter hug, stroking my fingers through her hair. "I am lucky to have you in my life, Vega. Please don't think you have too much weight on your body. Cause truthfully, as long as you're happy with the way you look, I'm happy too."
"Is that another way of calling me big?" Tori asked softly.
"No, baby. You're not fat. Stop that."
Tori nodded, resting her face in the crook of my neck.
"Come on, love. Do you still want to go to the arcade or have you changed your mind?"
I felt Tori nod against my neck, but she made no attempt to move from the embrace, so I held her until she pulled herself away.
"It's hard to hug you when I have the cast, I don't like not being able to hold you closer without hurting you," I said and Tori nodded, tapping her finger against the last available space on my cast before pulling a pen from her purse.
"What're you doing, Vega?" I asked, watching the way she moved so she was hunched over my cast so I wouldn't be able to see whatever she was doing.
"Wait."
I chuckled. "I am waiting, I was just asking a question."
"Shhhhh. It's a surprise," Tori said in a conspiratory voice.
Smiling, I leaned against the pole and waited. "Whatever you say, Vega."
A few people looked over at us as they walked past, going to or from the bathrooms, but I just kept a watchful gaze on the surrounding people.
The fact that we keep getting random photos of us in private moments posted to The Slap is annoying me.
"Okay!" Tori stood, putting the pen into her bag once more, keeping one hand over whatever she'd added to my cast.
I grabbed her free hand with mine and brought it up to my lips, pressing a soft kiss to her knuckles. "Done being a dork?" I asked teasingly.
"Nope, never. I have a contract that says as long as we are together, I get to be as dorky as I want."
My heart burst at her grin. "Okay, you can stop being adorably-cute now, Vega. Even though I know it's impossible for you," I said, smiling as I leaned in and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
"Now, just know that I only had that pen and a very rough surface to draw on, okay?"
"Alright, what've you done?"
Tori slipped her hand off my cast and tried to pull her other hand away also, but I kept a light grip on it to let her know I didn't want her to let go. I kept my eyes on hers. "Whatever it is, you don't need to pull away. Unless you've drawn a dick, cause then you're going to need to run."
Tori smirked and shook her head. "Not a dick, I promise. I'm not in the mood to run."
Dropping my gaze, I looked at the fresh ink on the cast and smiled, my heart thudding before I looked up to Tori who was holding out a ring-pop.
"Wanna spend our life together? I mean, I know it's not exactly a promise ring- Cause we're too young for an engagement ring and I-"
I pulled Tori into a kiss, effectively shutting her up.
"You will never be able to get rid of me, Tori." I kissed her once more, smiling as I felt her lips tug into their own smile.
