The thing in front of him let out a guttural growl.
Izuku returned it in kind, instincts surging inside him. The person in front of him the same as him. They were invading his territory. Was going to steal his prey. Maybe hurt his Brides. His eyes darted to the two girls, who'd stopped their fights and were staring at him, the rest of the class turning to look at the two monsters as their growls turned into loud snarls. Right now, Izuku had only one thought. The thing in front of him was dangerous, and it had to be stopped.
The sound of his own wrist being crushed filled the air, quickly drowned out by the starved wail of the other Vampire, lunging forwards as it gripped his arm. It hadn't fed for a long time, if ever. Its Hunger had overtaken its mind. It was going Feral. It was going to kill him.
It had to die.
Izuku's fist slammed into the solid wall of crimson crystal, shattering it in an instant as he grabbed at the monster in front of him. There was shouting around them, but they ignored it, the more important matter in front of them. Their free hand closed over the other Vampire's neck, squeezing tightly, holding it back as it struggled through the roiling blood that surrounded them. The blood hardened again, both shattering the red crystal as they slashed at each other, a clawed hand raking across the Monster's face, cutting deep into their flesh.
"Midoriya! Monoma! Stop!" the shout barely registered as the Monster returned the favour, plunging a knifed hand into the other monster's shoulder, making it cry out in pain.
They opened their mouth, lunging forwards, intent on draining the invader dry, biting down on soft flesh as a slightly pained gasp reached their ears. A familiar taste touched their tongue, the familiar scent filling his nose, his head clearing as he bit into Ochako's arm. He blinked, looking up at the brunette as she pulled him back, cooing gently to him as she pressed his head into her chest. He could see Monoma still struggling wildly in the blood red crystal, more forming over the blonde even as it cracked.
"What's going on?" "Why'd they go crazy?" "Isn't this just supposed to be sparring?"
Izuku could hear the confused and worried shouts of the other students now, his mind almost clear. He pulled back from Ochako's arm, calling out.
"What's his quirk?"
"Copy! He can copy other people's quirks by touching them!" the red head from 1-B called out, Izuku nodding.
"Give him blood!" he shouted, "My quirk needs blood!"
"What?" Vlad King shouted, "But what about when it wears off?"
"He's too dangerous right now!" Izuku shouted back, pulling himself out of Ochako's grasp and moving to be between Monoma and the rest of the class, "Just give him the blood!"
A wave of crimson washed over Monoma's head, flowing into his mouth as the teen greedily swallowed, the sound too loud to be natural. Several of the other students balked, turning away, or looking green as the blonde started to calm. The moment he was distracted, Izuku shot forwards, chopping him on the neck, knocking him out. The two classes watched in silence as Izuku stood over the unconscious teen, waiting. After a few seconds, it was clear that the blonde was indeed unconscious, Izuku stepping back to allow Vlad King to release his hardened blood and carry Monoma from the room.
"What happened?" the red head from before asked as she stepped forwards, looking at Izuku in shock as the green-haired teen fell back to the floor, Ochako and Tsuyu immediately moving to check on him, "Monoma's a little strange, but he's not usually that…vicious."
"I'm a Vampire," Izuku muttered as he let the two girls worry over him, ignoring the strange looks from the rest of the students, "We're territorial. Apparently."
"What does that mean?" the red head asked.
"His quirk makes him like a Vampire," Yaoyorozu explained as she approached, "According to legend they are typically solitary mons- sorry, creatures, that feed on the blood of others to empower themselves."
"Woah, I mean we knew that already, but that was some real Bram Stoker type shit, Midoriya," Kaminari laughed as he strolled up, "So like, your Vampire instincts went wild, right? Is that why Uraraka and Asui are so into you? You building a Vampire harem or something?"
"NO!" Izuku shrieked as he jumped up, staring at the grinning blond in shock, "N-no! I'm not making anyone into a harem! I swear!"
He looked around at the staring students, his cheeks flushing at the suspicious glares of most of the girls.
"I'm not doing it on purpose! I promise!"
"Midoriya."
Izuku flinched slightly at the voice, turning slowly to look at Vlad King as the sliver-haired man looked down at him, his arms crossed over his muscular chest. The sparring had been cancelled; the students all told to go home early today while they sorted out what had happened. Izuku was still on campus as he had his first session with Hound Dog today.
"Yes, Kan-sensei?"
"Could I talk to you for a moment?"
Izuku just nodded, swallowing nervously as they started to walk towards Hound Dog's office.
"You're supposed to be having your first counselling session today, correct?" the teacher asked, Izuku nodding again, "That's good to hear. But I wonder if that's all the support you need."
"What?" Izuku blinked, looking up at the man, "What do you mean, Sensei?"
"I mean, I run a support group, no, not that kind of Support, after school. It's a support groupd for people with blood related quirks," the man continued, "I was wondering if maybe you'd like to join us for a meeting or two, see if it helps. Of course, you're welcome to stay with the group if it does help."
"Oh," Izuku muttered, looking down, "Are…are you sure it's okay? I mean, my quirk is kind of weird and-."
"No weirder than mine," Vlad King interrupted, "But you want to use it to be a Hero, right?"
Izuku nodded vigorously.
"Then there shouldn't be a problem. We're having a meeting today, come join us after your session with Hound Dog," the teacher smiled friendlily at the teen, patting him on the shoulder, "I'm sure the other BQS members will welcome you with open arms."
"B-Q-S?"
"Blood Quirk Support group," Vlad King chuckled as they reached the Counsellor's Office, patting Izuku on the back again, "Well, good luck. See you later."
"Uhm…yeah, see you later, Sensei," Izuku nodded as he knocked on the door.
Ochako sighed as she lay on her bed in the small apartment her parents had managed to organise for her. They had worked out a deal with the company that had built it, doing some work on the site to help finish it up for a discount on the rent. Ochako really owed her parents so much, she just really hoped she could be a good enough Hero to make them proud and be able to support them in the future. The slight pain made her wince as she rolled over.
She looked at her arm, the two small holes in her skin still not having fully closed. It was strange, usually there was no sign of Izuku drinking from her, not even a scar, but this bite still ached slightly. Was it because he wasn't paying attention? She had shoved her arm in his mouth when he tried to bite the other boy. Had Izuku been intending to hurt him? Was that why the wounds still hadn't closed?
"I should have gone to Recovery Girl," she muttered, knowing that the school nurse's quirk would have healed the bite in seconds, probably not even leaving a noticeable scar. Now it would probably leave a pair of small spots on her arm.
The thought sent a delighted shiver up her spine, looking at the two small wounds again. Maybe it wasn't so bad, it had come from Izuku, after all. It was like he'd marked her. Made it clear that she was his. She paused.
Why did that thought make her feel so…happy? She knew she liked Izuku, he'd saved her in the Entrance Exam, but the idea of being marked as his? It made her feel…complete in a way. Her mind wavered slightly, the brunette shaking her head as she pulled out her phone, opening the cheap device and accessing the web function.
"Vampire," she muttered as she typed into the search bar, "In love with a Vampire."
"Alrrright," the animalistic man said as Izuku sat in the chair opposite him, "So you alrrready know about Kan's support group?"
"Yeah, Kan-sensei told me about it on the way here," the teen nodded, "I…I'm not sure if I should go or not."
"I think it's a good idea," Hound Dog hummed, checking the notes he'd been making throughout their session, "The morrre supporrrt you have, the betterrr."
"Oh," Izuku replied, swallowing slightly as he watched the man slip the papers into a folder, "Uhm…"
"Yes?" Hound Dog asked.
"I know that you're not really supposed to talk about it, but…I wanted to ask about Kacchan…" Izuku trailed off as he looked away, an embarrassed look on his face, "How…how is he?"
"As you said, I can't tell you anything about ourrr sessions," Hound Dog sighed, "Just that he's attending them."
"R-right, of course," Izuku nodded, "Sorry for bothering you."
"Not at all," Hound Dog chuckled, "I underrrstand you being concerrrned forrr yourrr frrriend."
"Kacchan isn't really my friend," Izuku sighed, making the Counsellor raise an eyebrow.
"Do continue," the man hummed.
"He, uhm… he used to bully me…before I got my quirk," Izuku stammered through the words, forcing himself to say them, "He's not my friend anymore."
"I see," Hound Dog muttered, scrawling something else down on the notes, "I had my suspicions, as did Aizawa, but having at least one of you confirrrm it makes things easierrr."
"It does?"
"Yes," Hound Dog nodded, "Now, that's the end of ourrr time for today. Do you know wherrre Kan's grrroup is, orrr would you like me to show you?"
"I…I'd appreciate that, Sensei."
Neito groaned as he cracked his eyes open slowly, staring at the off-white ceiling in confusion.
"Finally awake?" the elderly voice called from the other side of the room as the blonde tried to sit up, blinking as he looked down at the manacles around his wrists, "Sorry about those, but we have to take certain precautions."
"Precautions?" Neito asked slowly, staring at Recovery Girl, "Why?"
"You copied a very dangerous quirk," the elderly nurse hummed, hopping off her chair and walking over to him, "One of your classmates came to see you earlier, told me to scold you for copying a quirk you knew nothing about. The red headed girl."
"What? The quirk?"
"Is something wrong?" Recovery Girl asked, concern crossing her wizened face, "Have you forgotten what happened?"
"No, I…" Monoma cleared his throat as he sat up a little straighter, smiling widely at Recovery Girl, "I am perfectly fine. I remember everything clearly, no problems whatsoever."
"Right," Recovery Girl sighed, taking out a syringe, "Well, I still need to take some blood from you to run a few tests. You've been excused from all practical classes for the next week or so if you don't feel up to them. You feel even the slightest bit off, you come tell me immediately, alright dearie?"
"Of course, Ma'am," Monoma nodded as he got out of the bed, stretching slightly to hide the fact that he almost stumbled, "I'll be sure to do that."
"Off with you then, it's gotten quite late, and you wouldn't want to worry your parents," the nurse huffed, ushering him out of the room as soon as she had the blood sample.
"Of course," the blonde nodded as he left, walking casually away as he smiled widely.
The moment the door shut behind him, he scowled, lifting a hand, and looking at it. He did remember something. Something horrible. His stomach clenched again as he walked, making the blonde stumble slightly as he winced. He could feel it still, even now with the quirk gone, he could feel the ravenous Hunger that burnt through his mind and body as soon as he'd activated it.
"Izuku Midoriya," he growled, "Whatever you are, this is your fault."
