"Congratulations on getting second place!" Izuku said to Ochako as the four of them sat on the roof eating their lunch, the others also congratulating the brunette as she blushed and rubbed the back of her head.

"It was nothing," she laughed, "I just figured out that the balls bounced around a lot more if they were weightless. It's not like I had control of them."

"You still managed to get me," Izuku chuckled, the girl gasping and apologising, "It's okay, it was a clever use of your quirk!"

Izuku checked the stream on his phone, looking at the list for the next round. Ochako, Tsuyu and himself had all gotten through, as well as Kirishima, Mina, Sero and Kaminari from class A. Todoroki had proceeded as well, along with Yaoyorozu and surprisingly Hagakure. There were also a couple of kids from class B, a girl named Shiozaki Ibara and a boy called Sen Kaibara respectively, and a girl from the Support department, Mei Hatsume. The last name on the list almost made Izuku double over in laughter. Katsuki Bakugo, the blonde having made it to the next round by only a single point over the next person in the list.

"What's so amusing, Midoriya?" Iida asked, still seeming a little down that he hadn't made it through.

"Nothing," Izuku shook his head as he quickly returned to eating, his food tasting a little more bland than usual.

The door to the roof almost slammed open, a familiar head of red and white hair walking stiffly through as the group looked up at the noise. Todoroki glanced over at them, seemingly surprised that there were other people on the roof, before turning away.

"What's he doing here?" Ochako asked, watching the other teen with suspicion, "Do you think he's looking for another fight?"

"No," Izuku shook his head as Todoroki walked away from them, moving to stand at the far end of the roof, "I think he's having a panic attack."

"A panic attack?" Tsuyu asked, "How can you tell, kero?"

"I've had my fair share," Izuku muttered as he quickly finished his food, "Come on, let's leave him alone for now. We need to return the bowls to the cafeteria anyway."

"Ah, there you are," Yaoyorozu said as she quickly approached the four teens, "Uraraka, Asui, you need to come change."

"Change?" the two girls blinked in confusion, looking at Izuku.

"Yes," Yaoyorozu nodded, "Apparently Aizawa-sensei wants us to wear cheerleader outfits before the finals, something about team building? I need to take your measurements to make sure they fit."

"Wait," Izuku said, "You're making the uniforms yourself? Wouldn't the school be able to provide them?"

"And who told you this?" Iida hummed, pulling out his phone.

"Oh? Kaminari and…Mineta," she said slowly, as if realising something, "You don't think…"

"I think this may be a trick. Of course, the easiest way to find out is to ask the apparent source," Iida nodded, "Thankfully, I have Aizawa-sensei's phone number. One moment, please."

The four students watched as Iida talked animatedly for a moment, before nodding curtly and hanging up.

"It would seem that he gave no such instructions to Kaminari and Mineta," Iida said, "As suspected, it is likely a trick. He has also said that he will reprimand the two of them appropriately for their actions."

"Ah," the black-haired girl muttered, her cheeks flushing, "I can't believe I fell for that. I should have been more suspicious with the way they were acting."

"It's okay," Ochako comforted the girl, patting her on the shoulder.

"Yeah," Izuku chuckled quietly, "Honestly, I probably would have been unable to look at any of you in cheerleader outfits. It would be too cute."

"Midoriya," Iida barked, immediately beginning to scold the boy, "That's inappropriate!"

The three girls looked at the two of them as Tsuyu leaned over and quietly whispered in Yaoyorozu's ear.

"Maybe you could make a couple of those uniforms anyway, kero."

"Before we get to the final event, I've got good news for all those out of the running!" Mic shouted, "This is still a sports festival, so we've prepared a recreational activity for all participants!"

"A recreational activity?" "Whatever." "It's not like we can do much else." some of the other students muttered.

"Once that's done," Mic continued, "We'll get onto the final event! A series of one-on-one battles!"

"But before all that," Midnight chuckled as she stepped up to the sixteen students that had made it through holding a small box, "We need to draw lots to decide the matchups! First up, Hitoshi Shinsou!"

The crowd watched as the purple-haired boy slouched up, reaching into the box, and pulling out a coloured ball, hiding it in his palm as he walked away. Izuku's ears twitched as he heard the quiet muttering coming from behind him.

"Bastard." "He ruined my chances." "What even is his quirk?" "I bet it's messed up."

The green-haired teen shivered slightly at the vicious chatter, trying to ignore it as he watched the next few people be called up. Then he was called, walking up nervously, and reaching into the box, pulling out a ball with the number one on it. He hadn't seen anyone else get its partner yet, so he didn't know who he was fighting first. Walking back, he stood beside Ochako and Tsuyu as the rest of the students drew their lots, the final table finally appearing on the massive screen.

Izuku blinked as he saw who his opponent was, looking over to the purple-haired boy who just shrugged and walked off. He quickly scanned the rest of the list, looking for Katsuki's match. He cringed slightly as he saw the explosive blonde's opponent, looking over to Tsuyu as she ribbited quietly, Ochako smiling slightly as she waved to her opponent, Yaoyorozu.

"Good luck, kero," Tsuyu hummed, leaning closer to him, "And be careful. We don't actually know what his quirk is."

"Yeah," Izuku muttered as he watched the other boy walk off, "But you be careful too, Kacchan is…"

"Vicious? Foul-mouthed? An ass-hat? Kero?" the girl croaked, making Izuku choke as he looked at her in shock, a slight smile on her face, "I promise I'll be careful, but I'm not that weak that I can't handle myself, kero."

"R-right, of course!" Izuku chuckled as Ochako rejoined them, the three heading back to the waiting room.

"Ah! There you are!" the muscular blonde laughed as he approached the figure from behind, pausing for a moment as the flames flared across his costume, "Now now, Endeavor, I just wanted to talk!"

"Talk about what, All Might?" the man growled, "I have nothing to say to you."

"Oh," All Might muttered, before perking up again, "Yes, well, I was sent to investigate something!"

"Investigate?" Endeavor spat back, "You?"

"More like 'we' were sent to investigate," the refined voice hummed from behind the towering blonde, the cloaked figure stepping out from behind All Might, "We have video evidence of you conversing with one Shoto Todoroki during the lunch period."

"Huh? Who are you?" Endeavor muttered, "Ectoplasm? No, you don't have that creepy mask."

"Who I am doesn't matter," the man replied curtly, "What does matter is that young Todoroki was observed potentially colluding with a licensed Hero just before a tournament. That could very easily have him disqualified from the competition."

"WHAT?!" Endeavor roared, his flames bursting up, almost reaching the high ceiling, making even All Might flinch back slightly, "You have no right to disqualify my Shoto for that!"

"Then what were you doing with him?" the figure asked calmly, seemingly unfazed by the display of power.

"I WAS…I was encouraging him," the Pro growled, "He is my son after all. Can I not give him some support?"

"Of course!" All Might said loudly, "However, you did so in an area closed off to the public!"

"What does that matter?" the flaming man growled.

"While you are a Hero," the cloaked figure hummed, "While at this event, you are also technically a member of the public. While we are prepared to overlook the earlier incident, if you attempt to enter a restricted area again, we will be forced to ask you to leave."

"Leave? Who the hell even are you?" Endeavor huffed, stomping forwards as the cloaked figure didn't move.

The Pro reached for the hood of the cloak, his hand stopping just shy of the hem as the vice like grip closed on his wrist. There was a moment of quiet, then Endeavor tried to pull his hand back, staggering as it remained tightly gripped in the mysterious man's hand.

"I am a new teacher at UA," the cloaked figure replied, "That is all you need to know. Now, leave."

Endeavor's eyes glazed over, his flames going out as he turned lazily around and walked off.

"Is that a good idea?" All Might asked, deflating as the other Pro vanished around the corner, "He will be angry when he comes to."

"I have faced foes far more, for lack of a better word, intimidating, than Endeavor before, Yagi-san," the man hummed in reply, walking away casually as he flicked his cloak, "Now, I believe I need to go check on some of our students."

Izuku sighed as he sipped on the bag of blood, looking around the empty waiting room as he drank. The sound of the door handle rattling startled him, making him down the last few mouthfuls of blood quickly before shoving the plastic bag behind his back.

"Young One?" Sire asked as he opened the door, nodding to Izuku as the teen visibly relaxed, "I hope I did not startle you."

"N-no, Sire," the teen shook his head, dropping the empty bag back into the cooler box with the remaining two, "I just…I'm a bit nervous about all this. What if I…if I lose control?"

"Then I shall step I to restrain you," the man replied immediately, "Should you show any signs of placing the lives of the other students at risk, I shall stop you."

"Oh," Izuku blinked, "That…that actually makes me feel a lot better. Thanks, Sire."

"Of course, Young One," the man nodded, "Now, what is it that is truly troubling you?"

"Huh? Oh! Uhm…I'm not sure if it's my place to say," Izuku muttered, Sire simply placing a hand on the teen's shoulder comfortingly, "I just…I'm worried about Todoroki-kun. He…he was having a panic attack earlier and…well, I didn't help him and-."

"You cannot help everyone, Young One," Sire cut him off, "Trust me, I have tried, but there are always those that are out of your reach. "

"Oh," Izuku sighed quietly, looking away.

"But that is what you have companions for, so that they can help save those that you cannot," Sire continued, smiling at the teen as he looked back up at him, "You are strong, Young One, but not invincible. Rely on your companions and classmates to help you whenever necessary."

"B-but…" Izuku muttered, "What if I have to fight Todoroki-kun? What should I do then?"

"Then you shall help him as bets you can afterwards," Sire shrugged, "Or during. I have found that the exchange fo blows can be quite liberating and therapeutic for those under great stress."

"Help him…during the fight?" Izuku blinked, "But how?"

"I do not know," Sire chuckled as the speakers announced the start of the first round, "Come, it is time for you to show the world your power. Good luck."

"I…thank you, Sire," Izuku nodded as he let the older man lead him out towards the field.

"Found you," the raspy voice said as the owner ran a finger across the crackling screen, the image of the green-haired teen walking out of the tunnel flickering on it.
