it's a bit longer than my previous two chapters of 'Tohru is Kyo's Muse', but not by much, though... not enough to really matter, that is.
disclamation: I do not own Fruits Basket in any way, shape, or form. all rights of ownership in the anime go to the folks down at the Funimation Anime Company in the US and to the staff of TV Tokyo in Japan. all of the manga's ownership rights go directly over to Natsuki Takaya-sensei.
the only thing that I truly own from Fruits Basket is this fanfiction and any other 'Fruits Basket' fanfiction I should write up in the future.
Finally, the weekend arrived & Tohru went to visit Kyo's house. But, when she got there she learned he was not home. She met only Kyo's adoptive father, Kazuma, and Kunimitsu Tomoda, one of the man's students.
Kazuma Sohma: Hello there, little girl. What brings you here?
Tohru Honda: I saw a little boy's paintings on T.V. that had my face on them and I wanted to know why that was since I'd never even met him. I was hoping to find him at his house so I could find out why all his paintings were of me.
She finished.
Kazuma Sohma: I'm sorry, but, my adoptive son, Kyo Sohma, isn't home right now. He's out on one of his walks, at the moment. But I'm sure he'll be back soon.
Kunimitsu Tomoda: Hey, sensei, who's the little girl?
Kazuma Sohma: Oh, Kunimitsu, this is_ This is_
He paused right there. Tohru had not yet told him her name.
Kazuma Sohma: Um, what's your name, young lady?
Tohru Honda: Haven't I told you, yet?
Kazuma Sohma: No, you haven't. You only told me your reason for coming here. Of course, that was all I asked you. So, what's your name?
Tohru Honda: My name? Oh, right, my name is Tohru Honda.
Kazuma Sohma: Well, then, welcome to my home, Tohru Honda-san. You're welcome to come inside. I'll let you know when my adoptive son, Kyo, is home. Considering how long ago he left, it shouldn't be too much longer.
