Hello to everyone, my name is Onyx White and I hope you enjoy my Hiro x Anna fanfiction
Just to be clear, the story takes place after Big hero 6 the movie, and begins at the first episode of the series. But it's not the entire episode, you'll see what I mean once you read it.
Let's begin!
Chapter 1
A half-Japanese, half-Caucasian fourteen-year-old boy with jet-black tousled hair, and almond brown eyes was getting himself ready for the first day of college. His attire was a red shirt under a blue hoodie jacket with the university logo on the center, dark beige cargo capris shorts, and converse.
His name was Hiro Hamada.
One would thing that a boy his age should be in high school like any other adolescents, but he was a teen genius that skipped a lot of grades that were easy for him to pass and manage to graduate by the time he turned thirteen.
Hiro sat down on his bed and grabbed his cellphone from the desk, after giving a few taps he plays a video and watched it with a faint smile. The video was of himself learning how to ride a bike for the first time with the help of his big brother, Tadashi Hamada.
When Hiro was only 3 years old, he and his big brother lost their parents in an accident. They were taken in by their Aunt Cassandra after the death of her sister and brother-in-law, and up till now did her best to raise the two boys. But now she's raising one, the older brother Tadashi died in a fire 2 months ago. Hiro paused the video and gave a sad smile "Well Tadashi this is it" he says in a sad tone "First day of nerd school. All because of you"
The teen genius got up from his bed and then grabs the backpack, when he zips it close, he hurt his index finger "Ow!" Hiro's eyes went directly at a red charger that was connected to a wall, he looks at it expecting to see a big marshmallow to appear, but it didn't which only made the him feel sadder.
Suddenly a ringtone was heard that came from his cellphone indicating that he got a new text message. Hiro checks the screen and smiles at seeing the name of the person who sent it.
The message read;
A: Hey Hiro, wanted to tell you to have a great day at college, which is exciting because obviously it's your first day at college which is cool! But also scary since you're the only young teen genius at the place full of young adults but you'll be fine since you have Wasabi, Gogo, Honey Lemon and Fred with you. So, there's nothing to worry about, unless something happens that could cause worry but I'm sure everything will turn out great.
Another text came in
A: Oops, I'm rambling again. Sorry hehe
Hiro gave a small laugh and texted back
H: It's okay, thanks for the text. I really needed it
He waited for a reply and it came in seconds
A: You're welcome. And it's the least I can do, after all-
"Hiro! You ready?"
Hiro knew that it was his Aunt Cass calling from downstairs and answered back loudly "Coming!" He gaze back at his phone and sent a reply
H: Gotta go. Wanna hang out later at my place?
A: Definitely. I'll bring over some snacks, and it won't have peanuts in them ;)
H: Cool, can't wait
A: Have a great day Hiro
H: Thanks. You too
Hiro placed his phone inside his pocket, placed the backpack over his shoulder and made his way downstairs.
A girl no older than seventeen smiled as she read the last message from the teen boy. She had strawberry blonde hair that was in two pig tails, but the right braid had a white streak that one would think it was dye but was actually a birthmark hair. Her face was heart shape with dusted freckles and eyes as clear as the blue sky. She was wearing a dark green long sleeves shirt, that was under a black dress that reach 3 inch above her knees, black leggings and her shoes were brown ankle boots.
Her name was Anna Kalberg.
Suddenly a bell was heard that came from a door, indicating that someone has entered, this made Anna to turn her attention to an older woman that approach before her with the only thing between them was a glass counter.
She puts the cellphone away and gave the best smile "Welcome to Lambert's Chocolate and Cupcake shop"
The Lambert's Chocolate and Cupcake shop is exactly how you guess it, a shop full of delicious chocolate and cupcake that were handmade with beautiful unique design and taste. This shop was also the only chocolatier shop in all of San Fransokyo, which makes it the most unique and well-known shop in all the city.
After a few minutes of explaining the types of sweets they had, Anna sold two boxes of chocolate to the older woman and wave "Thank you, come again soon!"
"Anna!"
Anna looks to the person that called her, she was a woman in her early twenties with blonde hair in a massy bun and brown eyes. She was wearing a light pink shirt with sleeves that reach above her elbow, blue jeans and black and white checkered shoes.
Her name was Karen Lambert.
"Hey Karen" smiled Anna.
"So is today's the day when that little genius friend of yours goes to college?" Karen asked as she began placing a tray of fresh cupcakes in the display window.
"Yep" replied Anna.
"Man, I felt nervous on my first day" said Karen switching the trays "It's impressive someone as young as him is starting college"
"I know" said Anna as she ate a chocolate from a box that she managed to sneak for herself "But I'm relive that Tadashi's friends are with him. So it makes me less worried about him"
"If he was able to get out from bot fighting. I'm sure he can handle one day at class"
Anna gave a small laugh "I suppose so"
"Alright girls that's enough chit, chat out of you! It's time to work so get to it!" Yelled out a older man's voices from behind the shop.
"Whatever you say Uncle!" Karen yelled and went to the back of the shop.
Anna rolled her eyes but still enjoys eating more sweet chocolates.
"And that box your eating is coming out of your paycheck miss princess!"
The teen girl choked on the chocolate for being caught but manage to swallow it, as her mind wonders how the man found out, if he was at the back of the store. 'How does he do that?'
The sound of a bell was heard again which meant that another costumer came in, Anna quickly hid the chocolate box and put on another smile.
The afternoon came and Anna just finished her shift at her part-time job, as soon as she took off her red velvet apron, she quickly ran to a trolley and got on it just in time.
After a few minutes she jumps off then began walking down the sidewalk and soon spotted a blue building up ahead.
It was the Lucky Cat Café and above it was an apartment where a certain fourteen-year-old genius lived. The teen girl entered through the door making the bell ring and saw that the place was pack with customers, which does not surprise Anna since the food here was delicious.
The Lucky Cat Café could be one of Anna's favorite places to be, next to the chocolate and cupcake shop of course. She then saw a woman going left and right bringing food to the customers with impressive speed. The woman was slender with short brown hair that was frizzy, she wore a short sleeve black shirt with faded blue jeans and orange flats. She was also wearing silver necklace with a jade stone that matched with her eyes.
Her name was Cassandra, but everyone calls her Cass, and she was Hiro's Aunt and the owner of the Café. The woman notices the twin pigtail girl and gives a big smile "Anna!" Aunt Cass greeted as she gave the teen girl a hug "Welcome back!"
"Glad to be back" said Anna returning the hug. She then pulled out a box from her purse "I brought chocolate"
Aunt Cass eyes widen with excitement "Dark cherry?"
Anna nodded "You're favorite"
Aunt Cass gave a small squeal then took the box from her, when it was opened she took a bite of the small square shape treat, and gave a small moan for how smooth and juicy it taste.
"Gilbert is truly the best at making chocolate" praised Aunt Cass still feeling the taste in her tongue "I can't get enough of them"
"You, me and everyone in San Fransyokyo can agree on that" Anna commented.
The older woman swallows the sweet treat then pointed her thumb up to the apartment upstairs "If you're wondering about Hiro, he's up in his room. The moment he got back from college he immediately went upstairs, said he was working on something"
"I see. Mind if I go up and check on him?" She asks.
"Not at all sweety, in fact…" Cass went to the kitchen and brought back a plate of food "Can you bring his dinner for me, knowing him he hasn't eaten anything yet"
"No problem" said Anna as she grabs the plate "And do you think I-"
"No need sweetie" Aunt Cass made a wink already knowing what the girl was going to say "I have three chicken pot pies in the oven and one of them has your name in it"
"Thanks Aunt Cass" said Anna as made her way up to the apartment.
The teen girl walks by the living room and the kitchen and continued up to the stairs leading to the attic. As she arrives at the attic that was turn into a bedroom, Anna sees the teen genius at his desk focusing really hard on something. He was on his inventor mode and won't stop until finishes his plans to built it. Suddenly Anna felt something soft on her legs and sees that it was Mochi, the calico cat.
Anna looks back to Hiro who hasn't even realize her presence which gave her the idea to give him a nice little surprise from behind. She carefully walks towards him making sure not to drop the tray and was about to shout 'boo' right at his ear, but then caught sight of the papers on the desk, and immediately recognizes what the drawings were "Baymax?" She voiced.
Hiro gave a startle yelp and so did Anna, who forgot about her sneak attack, and almost spilled the plate over but luckily manage to keep it from falling.
"Anna?" Hiro voiced trying to catch his breath from suddenly seeing her.
"H-Hey Hiro" said Anna with a nervous smile and hands over the plate to him "I was uh, I was bringing you your food. Aunt Cass asked me to bring it to you, so uh here".
"Uh thanks" said Hiro placing the plate on the desk "So uh w-what brings you here?"
Anna gave a smug look and crosses her arms "As I recall, from your text this morning, you invited me to hang out, and haven't texted me or answered any of my calls"
Hiro wince for forgetting about it "O-Oh yeah. Sorry Anna"
"It's okay. So… It's that Baymax?" She asked pointing at the drawing, and he answer her with a nod "Are you building another Baymax?"
"Yes... No… Well kind of" replied Hiro scratching his head with his hand.
Anna made a confuse look "What do you mean kind of?"
Hiro gave a sigh and figure it was better to tell her everything, he went through his pocket and showed her the chip. Anna's eyes widen from recognizing the green chip since it has the name 'Tadashi' written on it, her hand reaches out to grab it but stops wondering if it's alright. The Japanese boy notice her hesitation and gladly hands over the chip, and the she looks at it as if it were a treasure.
"Is this?" Anna looked at him for the answer.
"It's Tadashi's chip" replied Hiro with a smile "It's the chip that makes Baymax, Baymax"
"But how?"
"It was in the armor glove that I had left after the portal got destroyed" Hiro take back and chip and looks at it with resolve "Once I'm done drawing the parts that I need, I'll be able to build him"
"So, we'll have Baymax back?" asked Anna, her eyes shining with hope.
Hiro nodded "Yeah. We will"
Anna's smile grew wider and made a little jump of joy "I can't wait to tell everyone!"
"No, you can't tell anyone!" Hiro exclaimed.
"Wait? What?"
"I want it to be a surprise when they see him again" replied Hiro "Especially Aunt Cass"
Anna nodded as she understood his reason "Alright. Don't worry I'll keep it a secret"
Hiro gave a half smile "That's what I'm worried about"
Anna's eye become narrow then placed her hands on her hips "Oh you think I can't keep a secret"
Hiro stood up from his chair and was about to say something but when he took a step forward, he accidentally stepped on Mochi's tail causing the cat to screech loudly. That made both teens to jump away in surprise, but it caused Hiro's foot to slip and fall down with a loud thud.
Anna wince then leaned down with a worried look "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm good. Ahh!" said Hiro, rubbing the back of his head to sew the pain.
"On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your pain?"
Hiro was caught off guard when he heard that and looks up at Anna who had a playful smile on her face "If I have to guess... I say 1" he says with a half-smile.
"I don't know, it looked more like a 5 to me" Anna says as she pokes his forehead.
Hiro rolled his eyes but played along with her "Oh your right nurse Anna. I guess I hurt my head so hard that I couldn't tell the difference"
"Good boy" She pulls out a small box from her purse "Here, have a box of Chocolate"
Hiro burst out laughing since he was expecting a lollipop but still takes the box "Thanks!"
Anna then moves over to the other side and got down on the floor then lay herself next to the teen boy and turns her head and smiles.
Hiro rolled his eyes for her silliness "Thanks for the Chocolate".
"You're welcome" Anna says "But you should thank my boss, he knew I was going to see you and made two boxes for you and Aunt Cass"
"He really knows his customers"
"Especially the ones who are allergic to peanuts" She pointed out with a wink "So, how was first day of college?"
"It was pretty good. Everyone gave me a tour of the place which I didn't realize how big the campus actually is, but it was still awesome" replied Hiro "And my new Dynamics professor is a real hard case. Like really hard case"
"So, she's like Olivia?"
Hiro made a gesture with his hand "More or less, she's tough but fair".
"Sounds like another Olivia to me" Anna commented.
Hiro shrugged his shoulder and asked, "So how was work today?"
"The usual, though there was a little accident with the cupcake tower display involving two brothers running around the place" told Anna as she remembered the funny scene "The boss was not happy at all, I think the boys were more scared of him than their mother"
Hiro laughs "I don't blame them, even I'm scared of him"
"I would be surprised if you weren't"
They both kept talking trivial stuff about their day and talked about other topics as well. Eventually they stopped talking and the room became quiet, and they just stared at each other, brown locking with blue in total silence, if it were anyone else, they would feel awkward but neither Hiro nor Anna mind at all.
"So… You think I can't keep a secret?" She asked.
Hiro gave a smirk "Does Aunt Cass's surprise party ring any bells?"
Anna made a small groan before rolling her eyes "That was only one time okay. ONE time"
"And when you spoiled the big plot twist of that movie for me" he added.
"In my defense, I didn't think you were interested in that kind of movie"
"True" Hiro then sat right up and place his arm on his knee "But… You have managed to keep one secret"
Anna's lips spread into a smile knowing what secret he meant and sat right up "And what secret is that?"
"You know… That y-you and-"
"Hiro! Anna!"
The voice belonged to Aunt Cass who came walking up the stairs and arrives to see her nephew on the computer working on something and the twin pigtail girl sitting on the floor, while petting Mochi on her lap. "Hiro why didn't you offer Anna a seat?" She asked with a disapproval look.
"I don't mind Aunt Cass" said Anna letting go of Mochi and got herself up from the floor.
"Well, I do" Cass then notices the plate of food that hasn't been touch and was already cold "Hiro you still haven't eaten?"
"S-Sorry Aunt Cass. I just really been working to finish this for class tomorrow" said Hiro with a nervous laugh.
Cass sighed before grabbing the plate to bring another fresh one for him "By the way Anna, I got a call from you know who, and she said to have your pie to go, and that she will pick you up in a few minutes"
Anna did her best to hide her disappointment with a smile "I see. Thanks Aunt Cass"
"Honestly that woman needs to be less pushy" muttered Aunt Cass "I'll call you when it's done" and with that said she walks down the stairs.
After making sure they were completely alone Hiro let out a big sigh of relief and turns to Anna who sat down on the edge of the bed with a sad expression on her face. He got up from his chair and sat right next to her and the two were quiet for a moment. After another moment of silence Anna broke it by giving a small jab at Hiro's arm with her elbow "That was close" she says trying to light the mood.
"Tell me about it" spoke Hiro as he looks at the stairs with cautious "We really need to be more careful. Aunt Cass would be shocked if she finds out that you and I are-"
"Boyfriend and girlfriend"
Hiro nodded "Yeah. No telling what could happened"
A unbelievable as it sounds, Hiro and Anna are actually dating each other and they are keeping their relationship a secret from their friends and families. They have only started dating about a week ago, and the only thing they have done as a couple so far was call and text each other on their cell phones. Granted they try not to act like a couple when they get the get together around everyone else or in the public, and obviously the reason for why they can't tell anyone is the fact that they are 3 years apart from each other. Hiro knew that if his friends and Aunt Cass found out, they'll say that he's too young and too immature to be in a relationship with someone who's older than him. And Anna's caretaker Olivia would not approve of it either and will do anything to have them break up the second she even hears about it.
"You know besides the age difference between us" said Anna as she gave a playful smile "We're not exactly doing anything bad by dating"
"Well dating is not illegal. Dating someone 18 or older than your own age that's, that's illegal" said Hiro rubbing his neck nervously "B-But not so bad"
"Though technically I'm seventeen" stated Anna.
"Then technically speaking, we are totally legal to date" Hiro says with a confident look.
"Until next year when I'm eighteen"
Hiro looked down in defeat after hearing that "Don't remind me"
Anna made a small giggle but then heard her cell's ringtone and sees a text message. When she read it, she made a sigh "Guess I have to go"
Hiro didn't want her to go but knew that it was inevitable when her caretaker calls "Want me to call you or text you later?"
"Sure, that is if you don't get wrap up on rebuild Baymax and forget again" She said poking his head playfully.
"Sorry" He says.
"It's okay. I want to see him too" said Anna giving him a sweet smile "And if there's anyone who can build him and bring him back, it's you Hiro"
Hiro felt his chest become warm from her words and smiles back "Thanks Anna"
"Anna! Your food is ready!"
"Coming!" Anna got up from the bed then without warning gives a kiss on Hiro's cheek, making the teen boy blush crazy from the sudden action "See ya Hiro".
He didn't say anything as he watched his girlfriend leave down the wooden stairs, the second he could no longer hear her footsteps his body falls back on the bed. Hiro knew that his face was still red from just remembering that small kiss, he touches his right cheek and couldn't help but give a goofy smile.
And that's it, I know it was short but I wasn't planning on writing the entire episode, but depending on how the story goes I might write it longer.
The word "Koi" is another word that means "affection" or "love" in Japanese.
And the surname "Kalberg" is a unique Norway surname meaning cold mountains.
Just to be clear
Anna is 17 yrs old (Her BD is on March 19)
Hiro is 14 yrs old (His BD is on February 7)
They are 3 years apart from each other.
Before you all judge me, understand that THIS IS A FANFICTION, you can write about anything you want and ship anyone you want, and just to be clear nothing EXTREME is going to happen, this is all PG SWEET FLUFF. And it will stay that way until Hiro turns 18, which is going to be a LONG TIME until we reach those chapters.
And if your still judging me on the age difference, how do I know that some of you haven't read M rated stories of Disney/DreamWorks/etc. that contain hardcore stuff and some that even contain the (I) word , cause if so then what I'm doing is nothing more than a bedtime story.
Also my inspiration for making this fanfic is from a manga called "Dear mine" by Takao Shigeru, you should read it is VERY CUTE and FLUFFY
