This might contain slight spoilers from my main story Nothing Wrong with Loving Mischief despite it being an alternative universe one shot. You don't have to read my other story to enjoy this one and for those who have, this might be an interesting way to take my original character of Astrid. This takes place in the same realm as 'What if Thor was an only child?' It might be a cheesy rom-com like story; but that was what the episode was like to. Hope you enjoy.

Frode Trygveson is dead. Egil Trygveson is dead. Both men fought over Tove Runedotter's heart on the wastelands of Jotunheim in a brutal fight. Frode's magic and Egil's strength were a sight to behold since love was on the line. Tragically, both men lost their lives for the woman they loved the most, neither wanting the other to have Tove. She grieved for both men; though mourned heavily for Frode than her husband since Frode was the father of her child. In this universe, Tove never went to Asgard and instead with her sister raised her daughter Astrid in Vanaheim. Astrid didn't grow up with Thor and Loki and instead was a student and lover of magic itself like her aunt and mother. This made her disciplined in magic, scholarly in her endeavors, and was primed to become part of the council in Vanaheim. Her heart heard of the pain her mother went through in her romantic life and vowed not to be the same. She didn't want to humor or allowed men to court her, and saw disdain in allowing her heart to connect to others romantically. Her own her frozen to the idea of love since her own mother was a victim of it.

In this time as well, Odin had given back Laufey his frost runt prince that was Loki as a sign of peace and thus, Thor didn't have a brother to help challenge him and help him grow. Astrid was forbidden by her people and her mother to venture to Jotunheim; the land her father cared so much for as much as their home. It hurt her that she couldn't see or experience what her father had seen. There was more to the land of frost giants than being the land where her father and uncle fought and lost their lives. The giants intrigued her as much as it did her father and truly, she was like her father deep down in seeing the good in all races. Fate would grant her a chance to open her mind and to see the good in one very special jotun.

Astrid was on her way to Asgard on request by Frigga to give Thor lessons in magic and to teach him the history of Vanaheim. Her head was already hurting since teaching Thor was almost like teaching a wall. Actually in some ways, a wall would be better since it understood its purpose while all Thor wanted was parties. Astrid was baffled and horrified that Thor shirks off his responsibilities and doens't fully comprehend that he would one day be the All-Father. By Norns she prayed Thor would be better or at least be willing to learn this time.

"Mother, Aunt Thyra; I'm heading off to Asgard." Astrid called as she made her way downstairs, her pink hair bouncing as she ran.

Tove glanced at her daughter once she was on the bottom stair and shook her head.

"You're not wearing that to teach Thor."

Astrid looked at her outfit in confusion. She was wearing a very modest purple dress, her silver horned headpiece of magical mastery, and comfortable shoes. Tove went up to Astrid and trailed her fingers to Astrid's exposed neck and her nose cringed. She was similar with Frode and...well here's Astrid she thought with a sigh. She didn't want Thor to have her daughter and he lacked control with women.

"Thor is an Asgardian pig that can't have any freedom to imagine lust filled fantasies with any skin exposed; you know this. You're there to teach him, not to seduce." Tove expressed.

Astrid rolled her eyes and expressed,

"Frigga gave me permission to and I quote 'Use almost any means to have Thor focus if his thoughts grow lewd and vulgar to return to his studies'. Frankly I planned to do just that. Mother, you're making me dress equally to a Midgardian nun and you know I have no passions or desire for Thor, prince or not. He's not what I want and you know this. Plus there's really no man that would steal me away; I have too much in my future to focus on."

Tove sighed and nodded. She was like herself at this age; not thinking of romance but she knew anyone could change. Tove had a loveless marriage with a warrior and fell hard for his sorcerer brother and had an affair that produced Astrid. Love is strong but it can cause pain, a pain she didn't want Astrid to experience.

"Least wear a necklace…though it might give him a thrill or thought to rip it off to claim you with his teeth. He might even try ripping the necklace with his teeth as he pins you to his bed with his brute strength."

"Mother!" Astrid groaned in horror.

Her mother wasn't such a prude and it did make Astrid wonder just how her mother...Nope, she shouldn't think about her mother's exploits in sex! Still, Thor gets anywhere near her; his ass and face will be blasted.

Tove stiffened a chuckle and simply said,

"Go see your aunt before we meet Frigga for the solstice."

Astrid nodded and went to her aunt's study. She cracked a light smile as she entered the room and Thyra chuckled at her footsteps. Thyra turned to face Astrid and she lingered on Astrid's exposed neck. Astrid was annoyed since she wasn't dressed like a Migardian hooker.

"Mother already gave me the 'I should be more modest' talk."

"Oh I know, but we raised you better than any maiden…even if you do try to sneak off now and again. I was like you once; didn't think any man would catch my eye but a few have along my many years. Just don't let your mother's heartaches and despair keep you from being happy. Your father would want you happy and to know how love can make you stronger, not weaker."

Astrid sighed and shook her head. There was no one that could change her mind. She needed to be leveled headed and have no distractions if she's to serve the council. Most if not all weren't married so she needed to be the same if she were to go that path. Though with some thought, despite their positions most seemed unhappy and always stressed. It was just something Astrid would need to improve once she's a council member.

"It's not in my cards."

Thyra patted her niece's cheek and expressed,

"Cards can always be shuffled. One moment you have nothing, but the next you have many opportunities for a perfect hand."

Since when did her aunt become a romantic; alas she was keeping her aunt and mother so she needed to get going.

"Enjoy your solstice, I'm off to teach Thor. Pray that I don't get arrested for murder or lose any brain cells."

Thyra laughed and smiled softly.

"Goodbye Astrid."

Astrid used her magic to teleport herself to the Asgardian library but of course, Thor wasn't there. She scoffed angrily since he was wasting her time. After spending an hour searching the grounds; Thor was nowhere to be seen.

"Okay; if I was trying to have a party, a wild intergalactic one at that, where would I go to make sure Heimdall won't bother looking."

It took Astrid less than a minute for her to answer,

"Midgard, of course."

She found the pathway Thor used to travel to Midgard and it didn't take her long to find Thor and his little gang drinking and dancing on a city street.

"Thor Odinson!" she yelled.

Thor looked and cracked a very huge smile.

"Astrid! You're here. Come to party with me? That's a first but a welcomed first."

Astrid glared at him and the aliens around him. Had he no respect for other planets and who knows how this would impact relations with Midgard. He never thinks, just does.

"No Thor; I was in Asgard waiting to teach you...but you weren't there...again. This time you've gone too far as to why you're neglecting your studies; studies your mother wanted."

Thor could see Astrid's aura engulfing her to a fever pitched red and he knew that was never goood.

"Shit. Astrid look I'm sorry. But when am I ever going to get this opportunity again. My father might go to sleep after this for another century and I want to live it up!"

Astrid chuckled bitterly and crossed her arms. Odinsleep, of course he would take advantage of that in the worst way.

"Didn't your mother say to study the Nine Realms? Did you also forget I was coming to Asgard to teach you about Vanaheim? Clearly you took this opportunity to throw a disturbance in this galaxy. Massive and varied crowd aside, you shouldn't be doing this and none of us should be here." Astrid expressed with gritted teeth.

Thor mistook her gritted teeth for a smile and chuckled warmly.

"It's not a disturbance, but a party. Come on Astrid, don't be such a party pooper and partake in it with me. Maybe you can catch yourself some action since you need it. You might be looser with a lot of drinks and a man in between your delicate and smooth thighs."

Astrid used her magic to spill the drinks in Thor's hands at what Thor was implying. He had all the class of an ass and mindset of a hormone crazed dog.

"You're really trying to tell me to get wasted and have a one night stand; how dare you! By the way; if I were to lay with a man, it wouldn't be anyone that's here thank you. Now I clearly need to go get Frigga since you can't be responsible."

Thor knew Frigga would punish him severely and he went to Astrid, holding his hands together.

"Come now, please don't do this. You might be able to learn something here. Please stay."

Astrid shook her head.

"No and you really need to end this. Midgard is not keen on moments like these and this is something they will put an end to if not I nor Frigga."

Thor chuckled as he flexed his hammer.

"The party is not over until I say it's over. Now come on, please stay and enjoy yourself."

Astrid looked into Thor's blue eyes and sighed.

"I'm getting Frigga this instant."

Thor's face drained of color and Sif couldn't help but sigh.

"You do that, I will tell everyone what you did while we went out for drinks that one time." Sif expressed with a devilish smirk.

Astrid's eyes widened. Not only did she did go for drinks with Sif, but there was something she regret doing. She'd trusted Sif to keep that in confidence but now it was blackmail.

"You wouldn't dare Siffles would you?"

Sif chuckled and spoke,

"Give Thor 24 hours and if you come down here and there's a party, do as you wish. But I don't think you want it to spill while you were pissed out drunk that you were...how we should say very vulgar."

Astrid face drained of color and she conceded,

"Fine okay fine! Thor 24 hours this party must be over or I will be getting Frigga."

Astrid used her magic to disappear and Thor couldn't help but sigh in relief.

"Thank you so much Sif, I owe you one."

Sif smiled as she got herself a beer for Thor and herself.

"Don't thank me yet, you need some way for her not to go to Frigga in 24 hours. I just bought you some time."

Her and Thor got cozy on a couch some raccoon stole and Thor sighed.

"Astrid is such a stick in the mud and immune to all my charms. She's all about duty, magic, and responsibility. Doesn't she have some kink or wild side that will make her less of a hard ass. She doesn't even flirt or try to charm others, but she uses what she has to intimidate and scare." Thor expressed.

Sif thought for a moment and she did recall something very juicy that might help.

"I wasn't lying, you know; Astrid and I went out for drinks once. She'd lost a bet with me so it was a good way to get her loose and have her share some secrets."

Thor chuckled and downed his beer in one gulp.

"Let's hear something that Miss 'Perfect Vanir' wouldn't tell anyone sober or keep hidden."

Sif wondered if it would be a good idea to break some unspoken girl code to help Thor. Then again, she and Astrid never got along and this was payback for always using magic to beat her ass in spars.

"Okay mind you she was very pissed out drunk, which in itself wasn't easy since she's a priss and didn't want to drink the stuff. However there is one race in the nine realms that I swear intrigues her so much that she might just drop her panties for based on her gross intrigue. Seriously the way she talked about not being able to see one up close or forbidden to see, it makes me think she has a fetish or something. Though again, she was drunk and did mention a lot about their giant blue bulbus cocks...Oops I was going to have you guess but now...you know."

Thor bust out laughing since it was easy to figure out based on the words giant and blue what race Astrid wanted to get 'up close' to.

"Frost giants, seriously. Astrid, the delicate, sweet, prim, and proper Vanir is aroused by frost giants. She wants a frost giant to fuck her? Wow no wonder I wasn't doing it for her. To think you know someone but clearly Astrid likes things freaky and intense. Frost giants are wild in sex and Astrid wants them badly by how you tell me."

Sif rolled her eyes as she sipped her beer.

"Well kind of? Her father helped them so much and she's never allowed to see them because of her father and uncle killing each other over her mother there. Knowing her typical boring self, it's probably just diplomacy and research, but maybe it's a wish fulfillment to her. Don't know if she would really do all the sexual stuff with a Jotun since the drinks were making Astrid very mischievous and horny. Though you know, alcohol makes a mighty truth serum so…maybe Astrid is deep down repressing so major fantasies. Seriously though it was like I was talking to you on what Astrid would love for a frost giant to do and what she would do to them. Very perverted and very deceiving from her proper demeanor."

So Astrid was hiding a mischievous and somewhat perverse side…He knew just the Jotun to swoon her and maybe connect in other ways. Plus the jotun he knew could be diplomatic, caring, and is adept with magic so he might just have more wild times yet if he comes.

"Thanks Sif, I really owe you for this. It does upset me that Astrid can't let loose. Wish we grew up together so she wouldn't be so…unhappy I guess."

Sif chuckled,

"Oh trust me, she's not. She's no better than we are. She sneaks to the other realms to slack off at times too. Only she's 'smarter' I guess and makes it a dual purpose to learn and to get into things. The glory of alcohol that can make a perfectionist maiden like Astrid loose and naughty."

Thor raised an eyebrow.

"What was the thing you threatened to tell people about by the way for Astrid to give us time?"

Sif smirked and chuckled.

"She may or may not have used her magic to shapeshift into a man and really got handsy with her engorged bit in between her legs. Afterwards, she went to a Midgardian strip club, and was very intimate with a steel stripper pole."

Thor's eyes widened at the words Sif shared since no way Astrid would be that wild or reckless. She even used her magic for a foolish means…definitely not responsible at all.

"Get out, there's no way that happened." Thor asked while laughing hysterically.

"Oh yea it happened alright. Gave me a whole performance too...such a tease and incredible dancer. She stripped herself down to her underwear and mind you she was still shifted as a man. The alcohol made her pass out before she could become stark nude and while passed out, she pissed herself. I had to drag her back to Asgard in secret to tend to her hangover and make sure no one in Vanaheim found out, including her mother. That was truly the wildest night I had with her."

Thor grinned.

"Great to know in case I need to get my way with her. Still I don't think I would always rely on that once I set her up with a very attractive Jotun."

-Next Day, Paris-

Thor was waiting in high spirits as he took photos with other alien species. He noticed Sif coming with Fandral and she had an enjoyable smirk on her face.

"Thor; he's here." she spoke.

Perfect Thor thought and no sooner was he was going to ask where he was Thor heard,

"Oi, Where's that son of a witch Thor Odinson!"

Thor chuckled as he saw a small group of frost giants approach him, led by the Jotun crowned prince himself.

"What are you saying to me now you overgrown popsicle stick?" Thor joked.

The prince chuckled and bent down to greet Thor, sticking out his pinky so Thor could embrace it with his arm.

"I'm so glad you could make it Loki."

"No problems at all Thor; you are a brother from another mother after all, I mean it. Brothers forever." Loki spoke warmly.

Thor chuckled and motioned Loki to follow him. He was curious since Thor would normally be one for partying but he was stalling and wanting a talk.

"So what is it that you need Thor?" Loki asked.

Thor grinned slightly but soon sighed.

"We have a problem. There's a know it all, stick in the mud Vanir that wants to break this party up…"

"Say no more, you want me to beat them to a pulp so we can party?" Loki asked.

Thor shook his head and smirked lightly.

"Actually…it's a female Vanir. Think she knows so much and thinks fun is beneath her. But Sif told me she's very into frost giants and perhaps you can distract her, show her a good time and all that for the party to continue."

Loki chuckled.

"Setting me up again Thor, you're a sly dog. Tell me about this Vanir beauty since it's rather odd and rare for a Vanir maiden to want to meet with frost giants. What's she like?"

"Kind of tall for a maiden, sort of a pinkish pale complexion that goes well with her rose pink hair."

Rose pink hair Loki thought. He had heard tales from his father about a Vanir man with pink hair helping to restore Jotunhiem's snow and helping them so much with fertility and conception of frost giants. It was that Vainir's work that saved his species and made him a very huge frost giant despite being born a runt.

He wondered if this woman was his daughter, someone his father would have loved for him to meet.

"This maiden…does she have golden eyes?"

Thor seemed stunned Loki knew what Astrid looked like already. This might go better than he thought.

"Golden amber yes….why have you met her already?"

Loki shook his head but sighed.

"My father knew hers. I know why she hasn't stepped foot on Jotunheim; her mother and her people blame us for her lover's death, meanwhile it was her husband and her lover who fought and killed each other. Her father was a hero to my people and I always wanted to meet her; my father actually wanted me to find her as it would be what he and hers would have wanted. Tell me…is she beautiful?"

Thor chuckled.

"Very beautiful, but she's such a stick in the mud and doesn't let anyone in her heart. However Sif told me she has a softness for frost giants and perhaps you can swoon her, charm her, you know unlock the maiden she can be." Thor expressed.

"And by that you mean make her fun, awaken her real self, and maybe sleep with her if I get that far and lucky?"

Loki deep down had always imagined meeting Frode's daughter since Laufey spoke highly of his friendship with Frode. To Loki, Astrid wasn't just a maiden he wanted to sleep with; but he wanted to know the kind of woman Astrid was and hoped she was like her loving and caring father.

"Oh yes please do. Maybe fill her up with some booze and maybe show her your Jotun bits and really stimulate her. She may look prudent but she can be a wild freak if you take care of her well…least that's my hope."

Loki chuckled but noticed Thor's friend approaching in a panic.

"Thor, trouble's here! Astrid's coming!" Fandral yelled.

Thor gulped and he made his way to find Astrid. She truly wasn't amused that they were partying and that it was becoming worldwide on this planet.

"Hey you came back…right on time too." Thor spoke warmly.

Astrid wasn't moved and her eyes were piercing into his like cold daggers.

"So instead of ending it, you progressed it to more parts of this planet. Do you not listen or are you stupid?" Astrid spoke coldly.

Thor grinned and looked over Astrid's body. Astrid had a killer rack behind the soft dress, a delectable ass, smooth flawless skin, and she was an exotic looking maiden. Oh yes, Loki would love her.

"Neither, in fact a little bird told me in fact you would just love to meet with frost giants."

Astrid's heart skipped a beat but she stood her ground. She would need to beat up Sif later for spreading that information to Thor.

"That bird must have been lying since why would I want to meet with them?"

Thor called her bluff and licked his teeth playfully. He saw the twinkle in Astrid's eyes and he knew she liked the race.

"Because I know you have a certain fondness for them….perhaps you find them erotic."

Astrid rolled her eyes at Thor and got her magic ready to strike him.

"If I find any interest in frost giants; it's in their culture, their ways, their home, and not having one rut me like an animal."

"Well come with me if you're so kind since I have someone I want you to meet, a really charming frost giant. He's been looking forward to meeting with you." Thor encouraged, holding his hand out kindly.

Astrid sighed and allowed her magic to die down.

"I swear by the Norns you better not be lying to me." Astrid spoke in defeat.

Thor and her walked for a while and what or rather who she saw next made her eyes widened. Thor wasn't kidding that frost giants were here; but the person he wanted her to meet was the Jotun prince himself. Astrid felt her cheeks warming up as she looked over the giant and he stood out among his people with flowing black hair and an ice crown with horns on it. Her eyes locked on to the prince's ruby ones and she cracked a very small smile.

"Loki this is Astrid…Astrid; meet Loki."

Astrid was at a loss for words and she found that very odd and horrifying. Loki bent down to look at her and smiled softly. She truly did look like a very beautiful maiden and his heart was smiling that he was meeting her.

"Hello Astrid. It's an honor to meet with you at last." Loki spoke with elegance.

Astrid blushed tenderly and saw Loki hold out his hand. She was anxious to touch him and cast a frost burn protection spell to touch his hand with her fingertips. With the spell, all she felt was a tender coolness and smoothness when touching Loki's hand. Something in her quivered and Astrid bit her lip nervously as she gazed onto him.

"The honor should be mine to see you, your majesty."

"Now now, don't be formal. Loki will suffice. Now let's get away and have a chat shall we?" Loki asked.

Oh the Norns Astrid thought and she couldn't help but be taken with Loki. Sure he was...well massive, but he had softness and grace in his vocal tones. Astrid knew she wouldn't have this chance again so she would most certainly take up his offer. She looked at Thor and he grinned lightly back at her.

"Didn't your mother wish you not to mingle with frost giants?" Thor teased.

Astrid snapped her fingers and a small ember was on Thor's boot. It grew in heat and Thor put it out with a beer. Loki chuckled at Astrid's magic and it showed him she could be fun to be with. Still he knew her joining him would be against her mother's wishes, but that made this even more enjoyable for him.

"Ah so you would be a naughty girl joining me. Wouldn't you love a rush and join me to ask me anything, Lady Astrid?"

Astrid smiled softly at Loki and nodded. She looked to Thor and simply said,

"I won't tell your mother if you don't speak with my mother."

Thor grinned and chuckled at that. He could party a lot more and maybe spend more time with a beautiful Midgard woman he slept with the night before.

"Sounds like a deal, Astrid. Now go on and get all freaky." Thor playfully spoke.

Astrid stiffened a chuckle and said,

"Grow up Thor."

She and Loki walked along the Paris streets and Astrid was having a bit of trouble keeping up with Loki's strides. He noticed this and smiled softly.

"Would you like to ride on my shoulder? It's much more comfortable than it looks?"

Astrid nodded shyly and he helped to place Astrid gently on his shoulder. They made small talk and took in the Eiffel Tower from afar. Astrid's eyes filled with light as Loki shared his tales of Jotunheim.

"I had no idea frost giants are capable of magic…though seeing your crown it should have been clear."

Loki smiled softly since she enjoyed magic. Sure magic existed on his land, but not many used it to the degree he did.

"You wouldn't be wrong; but I developed a love of it…because of your father. He did so much with magic that my father was welcomed to the idea of myself and others learning. Truly a gift."

Astrid smiled but grew solemn soon after. She didn't have the same sheer amount of loss that her mother did, but she still missed the father she never knew. Loki saw her father brought her pain so he decided to change the subject.

"Is it true that only the most talented of Vanirs have amber eyes?" Loki flirted.

Astrid saw through his ruse and of all things smirked. Call her strange, but she truly found Loki handsome. Frost giants weren't nearly as horrid looking as portrayed in her libraries of Vanaheim; but Loki was still an outlier among his people.

"Depends, do the most suave and charming frost giants have luscious dark locks?"

Loki chuckled and ran his fingers in his hair.

"Normally we're supposed to shave our heads if it gets too long, but I think it makes me look more pronounced and regal with it. What do you think? Do I look more princely with it"

Astrid laughed softly and stroked his hair. It was very silky smooth and very luxurious to touch. She could run her fingers in his hair all night.

"I think you're very regal, dashing, and alluring with it Loki. Truly a sapphire with ebony locks and precious ruby eyes. Any woman would make you a proud man and prince in their company."

He had been told Astrid wasn't a flirt, but her tongue was very loose with pleasantries for him. Loki couldn't help but be taken with her already and it was only their first date of sorts. His heart raced and fluttered in his chest as he felt desire for her; desire he hadn't felt with another.

"What is it about our kind that you like?" he asked.

Astrid blushed heavily and stammered,

"W-Well…ahem, you've been a mystery to me so I guess that is part of it. The ruby eyes are also a stand out since most races don't have them at all. My people saw its blood red, but now I clearly see they are precious like rubies."

Loki noticed Astrid's eyes were stealing glances at his sculpted chest and his covered lower regions and suppressed a chuckle. She was a bit vain like Vanirs tend to be, but to think she found him attractive in this form really touched him.

"You know, when I put on a mortal disguise…I don emerald green eyes. They go with my pale complexion and dark hair when I do take on a smaller and mortal form…"

"To not intimidate races if you need to speak to them?"

Loki smirked since she understood things, almost as she was studying diplomacy herself and perhaps she was. Truly a wonderful mind as well as beauty; the complete package.

"But of course. We're not the monsters people tell stories about. Despite the peace we have with the other realms; we're painted as monsters like the fire giants are. Truly we are misunderstood beings."

Astrid cuddled a bit into his neck with her whole body. She was very warm and tender, and felt a connection with Loki. Maybe it did stem from the fact their fathers were friendly; but she wanted to be friendly with Loki on her own terms.

"Indeed you are; one I hope I can learn so much about and to know about you."

Loki cracked a small smile but he knew Astrid was out of character in some ways in the small glimpses Thor told him. She was still guarded, holding her heart close, her frozen heart….how ironic he thought as he was the one to thaw her.

"I hope to continue what our fathers had, wonderful relations. Maybe we can grab some dinner to discuss just how you'll go to Jotunheim. It is safe to assume you'll want to be a part of your council and you'd be a shoe in if you're the one wanting to work with us."

Astrid could see the ruse and wasn't stupid. She was being asked out by a frost giant, one very close to Thor and probably had a wild party streak in him. Yet she wanted more than anything to be like the women in those cheesy and sappy romantic comedies she mocked in her studies here.

"Dinner's good…just no snails unless you want me to hurl."

"Noted." Loki spoke softly.

Loki and her stopped by a lovely bistro. He demonstrated some of his magic by shrinking his body to be slightly a head taller than her so they could dine properly. Astrid and Loki, trailed their fingertips towards each other as they enjoyed their meals. They shared exchanges from their childhood; both similar yet different in some ways. Loki chuckled as he felt Astrid's foot reach for his; her actual foot.

"Did you slip out of your shoe to touch my tender toes?" Loki grinned.

Astrid chuckled but she did also blush and retract her foot.

"S-Sorry...just wanted to see if you had the same number of toes like other races did. You know how cruel people can be in their depictions."

Loki chuckled softly but nodded at her answer. He swished his hand to summon a dagger and changed the dagger into a rose to give to Astrid. She took the rose and sniffed it, making her calm at the floral scent. Not to be out staged, she showed Loki how to make fireworks in her hand. He marveled at the display and playfully stroked her free hand. His spine had pleasant shivers watching Astrid with her magic; and felt like her kindred spirit.

"I love a woman who can woo me with magic. Simply sublime." he whispered in a husk.

Astrid chuckled and replied,

"I love a man or giant that can stimulate me, in magic and the mind."

Loki and her showed off to each other in magical abilities and Astrid was amazed with what Loki could do; illusions, ice conjuring, shape shifting, and so much more. The illusions intrigued her the most since he could make copies of himself and unless you touch, no one would know. Loki saw the glint in Astrid's eyes as he ate his steak and grinned.

"I can teach you how to cast an illusion…maybe it would be a useful tool for you to sneak out."

"How dare you think I'm that type of woman. I know better." Astrid joked with a slight wily smile.

"Oh excuse me; but weren't you supposed to be teaching Thor and not be on a date with me. Yet you seem to follow your heart's deepest wants versus duty."

"Well it is my duty to know all the races and Vanaheim has become so closed off to Jotunheim. That should change shouldn't it?"

Loki smiled and kissed Astrid's hand tenderly. His lips were soft, tender, and Astrid couldn't help but feel warm at his kiss.

"That should change, yes…it would be nice to get to see you…more of you."

Astrid smiled and gazed into his eyes. Her heart raced and she started to get a bit frightened by how much she wanted him. She was becoming no better than the women Thor slept with and she retracted her hand. This was wrong...wasn't it? She had plans and this Jotun was derailing them and derailing them hard.

"This should be a business dinner…not whatever is going on. This isn't right, not right at all." Astrid backtracked and stammered.

Loki sighed and he cupped his hands together, looking carefully at Astrid. She might look to be a woman, but in romance she was still just a girl. Her mother had discouraged her from a man's love and touch; which did sadden Loki.

"You like me don't you…like genuinely right? I do care for you and I thought you maybe were feeling the same sparks I truly feel. You having this date with me isn't just fulfilling some freaky giant fetish is it? I get it, I do, just be honest."

Astrid gulped and shook her head.

"N-No it's not like that. Our fathers knew each other but that doesn't mean I belong to you right? I do care for you more than just your body...it's just...this is just...not..."

"Not what you intended? Love or romance isn't scripted; it can just happen. It's hard for you I know and I know you clearly care for my people despite the tragedies we might be connected to. I know why you never once bothered to sneak to Jotunheim despite your intrigue and thirst…you still hold resentment towards us do you?"

Astrid shook her head and averted his gaze. She didn't see them as monsters; they didn't take her father away. Their land was the battlefield, they didn't kill Egil or Frode.

"My mother…made mistakes in love. She married my uncle when she should have married my father. She loved too much; hated my uncle and her husband and sought love and companionship with Frode."

"Right and she had an affair with Frode while married. She angered both men and both men wanted her and died in a duel. Frode got your mother pregnant and he was a very powerful and revered sorcerer and your uncle a somewhat dubious war hero. Your mother's heart got broken because she wasn't strong enough to make the right choices in love. If anything, your mother should have trusted her heart more and not lead on two men. She should have left her loveless marriage or not married Egil at all and instead marry the man she loved. She was all duty and commitment but that left her hollow. Don't be like her Astrid. Don't let her forbid you from making your own romantic choices and never go on conquests for 'the one', it would leave you longing and unhappy."

When spoken that…Loki did have some points. She looked back on her life and she truly didn't have strong bonds aside from her family. In order to be the best and to focus on her future; she closed her heart off. Loki was doing all her could to break her and thaw her...and it was slowly working despite her internal protests.

"I just…I just want to know if we are going to be more than…just this date and maybe sex. I-I…I've never done this before…like dating in general; let alone feel such strong emotions for someone. It scares me that this could break me if this is just a fling."

Loki stroked Astrid's cheek and caught a loose tear that was falling.

"You won't know until you start living. Don't live in regrets or what ifs…take the chance. I was worried too."

Astrid seemed shocked at that statement and Loki mused lightly.

"In the very few I heard about you…you seemed to be a frigid little Vanir, kind of heartless, sharp tongue, a know it all…and maybe a wild perverse drunk…I'm glad I ignored them since you know what I see? I see a maiden with a frozen heart of gold who wants someone to connect to, to have love, to have intimacy and a life with another. It may be too early to tell how long our courtship or romance will be…but I know that in this instant….you're truly a gorgeous maiden in mind, magic, and in looks."

Astrid chuckled softly and took her hand in his.

"And you, Prince Loki…truly are a frost giant above frost giants. And I'm not just saying that because I might…like you."

Loki grinned and replied,

"Oh that's exactly why you said that. But I am flattered."

Astrid's smile faltered a bit and sighed.

"What do I want Loki? I thought I knew but...do I really want where my life is heading?" she asked.

Loki raised an eyebrow.

"You mean like joining your council? I heard it's pretty dedicated but it does seem to drain all life out of the members...except Volund but he clearly dabbles in something to be so spry and carefree in nature."

Astrid nodded.

"It's what I worked for but...was it really my dream or am I living up to what my mother and maybe father wanted."

"Well Astrid...what do you wish for now? We have the night so what will it be?" Loki grinned softly.

Astrid didn't want to go home; she didn't even want to think about her distant future; right now she just wanted to connect more with Loki no matter what her mother would say.

"I want us to resume our date; that much I know." Astrid spoke softly.

"Then let's get out here and dance…you can dance right?"

Astrid laughed and smirked back at him, trailing her fingertips across his bicep.

"I may or may not have won a small handful of Dance Dance Revolution contests when down here so…take that what you will."

"You mean those fun yet kind of wild dance games….wow just who is Astrid Frodedotter and is this truly who you are? A secretive, fun seeking, mischievous Vanir…oh baby we're a match." Loki exclaimed with soft glee.

"Keep telling yourself that since I don't want to make any promises yet, it hurts to have what we can't keep."

Loki smiled and took her hand. She used her magic to bring them to a club to dance. Loki kept up with her pace, speed, and tempo with her steps and she couldn't help but feel like on fire with the giant of ice. She could feel Loki's hands on her hips and she grazed her rear at his covered groin. Loki moaned slightly and started to stroke more of her thighs, trailing up his hands to her chest. He cupped them and tenderly stroked her nipples through her dress as she continued to dance close to his body.

"Such a very erotic dancer you are…you're tempting me pretty badly and I don't like a tease." Loki purred in her ear.

Astrid smiled and faced Loki. There was desire and hunger in his eyes; but she found it very seductive and hot. She pressed her body close to his to truly feel his strength. She trailed her fingers on Loki's chest and felt his groin expand to a great size against her. Massive she thought and she felt aroused.

"And you're clearly getting worked up if you seem very happy with my moves."

Astrid blushed and pulled away. This shouldn't be how it goes and sex on a first date was very taboo for her family…yet she was very aroused and taken with Loki. She hadn't felt this way with anyone and she didn't want to live without what ifs like Loki told her. Loki can sense her nerves and hold her softly.

"Astrid…what do you want? Never mind what you were taught or how you think you should be…what do you want?"

Astrid carefully looked in his eyes and whispered,

"You. I want you….but I know that frost giants rut and they usually are very good at getting women pregnant."

Loki chuckled.

"Ah yet another way Vanirs try to demonize and animalize us. We can have sex without a need to bear children, though it is hard to do if we truly connect with our partners and I feel this strong connection with you. I do know of charms and have an object that will prevent conception if you were to lay with me. I'll even use what Midgardians call a condom if it makes you feel better. Though with my size...don't think it can contain what I have." he spoke with a soft yet cocky grin.

Astrid blushed and just held on to Loki in a tender hug.

"All I want is to end this night with no regrets. If tonight is all we have, I want us to experience all it can be."

Loki cracked a smile and kissed her lips softly. Astrid kissed back and wrapped her arms around his neck. She loved the way his lips tasted; peppermint and plums; a truly intoxicating scent she felt on her lips and tongue and she let out a warm yet needing moan.

Loki grinned as his hands trailed down Astrid's backside and playfully squeezed Astrid's delicate yet plump ass.

"Loki." she moaned.

He used his magic to take them into a private room in a hotel. Loki looked at Astrid softly once he pulled away and couldn't help but be proud she wanted him.

"Do you want 'mortal' Loki or the real deal?" Loki asked.

Astrid smiled and mused,

"We can probably go a few rounds right?"

Loki chuckled. For a virgin, she was very frisky and had such a drive. Still, perhaps she wanted all parts of him; his true self frost giant and perhaps an Aesir looking man.

"We can and I will treat you well every time."

Loki stroked Astrid's lower lip playfully and gazed on her neck. He smirked as he kissed it and nibbled on it. Astrid's thoughts went blank as she hung her head back. When she finally regained some composure she felt something else around her neck. Loki pulled away so Astrid could see the gift he gave her, a violet snow crystal necklace.

"With this…we don't have to worry about any little babies just yet." he explained.

Astrid blushed a dark scarlet that Loki took notice of. His smirk softened to a smile and kissed her forehead.

"We don't have to do this Astrid…"

Astrid pecked his lips and brought him to the bed. She rested her back on the bed and looked up at Loki. Her heart was on fire and only Loki could sate her.

"No. If I am caught and if I never see you after tonight, I want no regrets." Astrid affirmed.

Loki chuckled and shifted his appearance with his magic to show himself as a man with pale skin, deep green eyes, and a very lanky yet still muscular chest. He looked softly into Astrid's amber eyes and smiled warmly as he cupped her breasts.

"I'll take care of you; you don't need to fear me in any form. You're not just a random conquest…if we have more than tonight, I would love to show that to you."

Astrid pecked his lips and nuzzled his neck.

"That's all I can ask and hope for."

-Next morning-

Astrid eyes slowly opened up and felt a slight shivering sensation. She soon felt a pleasant embrace around her hips and smiled softly once she recalled what happened the night before. Gazing behind her, she saw Loki cuddled at her backside and in his true frost giant looks. He was snoring soundly and was stroking Astrid's hips in his sleep. Astrid giggled tenderly at his touches and shifted her body to face him. The movement caused Loki to stir and open his eyes to see Astrid looking softly at him. He grinned softly at his maiden and loved that she was here for the morning after.

"Good morning my darling." Loki purred softly.

Astrid smiled and pecked his lips.

"Good morning to you, too handsome." Astrid seductively spoke back.

Loki chuckled as he stroked Astrid's face. Her face was one he would love to keep waking up to but he wondered if this would sadly be a one time thing.

"For a maiden who had never laid with a man nor giant before; you were sublime Astrid. You sure Thor saying you were a prude wasn't a lie?" Loki wondered.

Thor should really butt out and not spread rumors or truths against her discretion. Still without Thor, she wouldn't have met Loki so he gets a pass this time.

"I may or may not have read several erotica novels and biology texts in my long life...for research."

Loki smirked at that since Astrid truly had her secret indulgences.

"Such naughty research you partook in and all that was worth it. You were able to ride me so well and take in passions with grace, warmth, and instincts. Truly you're something very special."

Astrid smiled but she had a small pit in her stomach. She truly enjoyed Loki; but would they have another moment like this. Her mother would have a spell; Frigga was going to be royally pissed for shirking her duties, and the council might look down on her that she compromised herself by being Prince Loki's maiden for this night. Still despite all of that...she was still rather enamored with the frost giant and loved their passionate night.

"As you are my prince...I just hope in my deepest of hopes we can have a next time."

She laced one of her hands in his while stroking Loki's chest with the other. Loki kissed her forward, sighing in a mix of pleasure but sadness.

"As do I...you've made it difficult for any woman to capture my heart as you took it."

"You have a tongue of silver Loki, but it is charming and truly touches me to my inner cores."

Loki watched as Astrid got herself dressed in a cobalt dress he ordered for her. Astrid's form was breathtaking and wondered if there would be a future with her. He was a dreamer and wondered if this would develop into a romance of the ages. They enjoyed a lovely brunch together, looking over the Paris cityscape from their balcony. Both knew they were stalling so they wouldn't have to leave each other. Astrid sighed as she finished her honey tea and glanced at Loki with sorrow in her eyes.

"Don't let others dictate your life...make it one for yourself. If you ever set foot onto my soil...shoot up fireworks so I can come for you."

Astrid smiled weakly and nodded in agreement.

"I promise to do so, Loki. I hope we have more than Paris."

Astrid left the hotel and found a passageway through the Eiffel Tower closed off to humans to travel back to Vanaheim. At the entrance to the lands; she was greeted by her mother and Queen Frigga. Both women had their arms crossed and had disapproving stares.

They brought Astrid to her home to hear what Astrid had to say for herself. Astrid shuffled in her seat as the queen and her mother wondered what was going through her head. Tove looked very coldly to Astrid since she had sex with a frost giant. Not even a man, but a frost giant and that was a bit sickening to her.

"Why didn't you stop my son's party down at Midgard and why didn't you come to me when he wouldn't do the right thing. You didn't bother to try and exert your power and teach him. Care to explain?" Frigga questioned.

Astrid couldn't say a word. What could she say; she was blackmailed by Sif and then was romanced and was making love with Loki of Jotunheim. Astrid tried to open her mouth but Frigga shook her head.

"You don't need to tell me; I already know what happened. I am very surprised if not disappointed. Your mother reeled at the news that you went on a date and slept with the prince of Jotunheim."

Astrid looked away, feeling equal parts shame but oddly unapologetic. She truly enjoyed her time with Loki and enjoyed the intimacy that came with connecting with him in a romantic manner.

"Do you have any idea what you've done Astrid? You've slept with the Prince of Jotunheim, not even a man but a prince of frost giants. You compromised yourself by sleeping with him and how can you be an impartial diplomat to the other realms when you gave yourself to a giant; a monster no less." Tove scolded.

Astrid shook her head, glaring at her mother.

"Frode saw humanity in frost giants. They aren't always the monsters people portrayed them in books. I wanted to get to know them from an actual first hand source...Yes it was from the prince and yes...things escalated quickly but...I'm happy they did." Astrid expressed.

"And what of you wanting to be part of the council? Not even the high councilman can ignore you sleeping with the prince. You might have cost yourself your future with them." Tove expressed with a frown.

Astrid sighed.

"Was it my future or would I be picking up from my father? I care for him for bringing me life but he would want me to follow my own path wouldn't he? Maybe being a part of the council isn't my dream; maybe never was mine to begin with. Maybe I still want to know what I want to do...but I know last night with Loki was a truly wonderful night even if you don't approve."

Tove sighed since her daughter wasn't a young girl anymore, but a woman and a woman clearly love struck. She couldn't blame the giants for Frode and Egil killing each other but she was still a bit unsettled that her daughter made love to a frost giant.

Frigga cracked the smallest of smiles. Clearly she saw something forming between the two; one that might produce a better future for Vanaheim and Jotunheim with their coupling.

"This is the first in a long while I've seen you happy. Did Prince Loki treat well?"

"Extremely." Astrid expressed without going into the very personal and intimate details.

Frigga looked over at Astrid and smiled.

"While I am not amused that you neglected your duties to teach my son…I am glad you made contact with the prince of Jotunheim…even if it became personal rather than business."

Astrid tilted her head in bewilderment since this is not how she had imagined this lecture to go.

"What are you saying?"

Tove didn't look angry anymore, but she wasn't pleased either. Tove wonders how Astrid would just give herself to a Jotun on the first night. Then again; Tove knew what love was like and perhaps she couldn't stop her daughter from exploring love in her own way. It would be wrong of her to teach morals to Astrid when clearly she wasn't loyal to her husband and had Astrid from an affair with another man while still married to said husband. Tove just hoped Astrid would be better than she ever was with romance.

"What her Majesty is saying…you are more than old enough to make your own choices. While I might not be too keen on you pursuing a romantic relationship with the prince…I can't really stop you either. Plus…thinking in the long term…if it is serious; you would be Jotunheim's next Queen if this love is true like you think it can be. If that's so; then peace with Vanaheim could be achieved for a long, long time."

Astrid was speechless and Frigga stiffened a chuckle.

"A Vanir queen in Jotunheim would be a first…but first let's see if there will be a second date with them first Tove."

Tove sighed in defeat and looked to Astrid. Clearly there was a want in her daughter's eyes and Tove couldn't stop her.

"Loki should be back in Jotunheim by now...dress warmly and send word if you...get sidetracked. Use the waterfall near the Wellspring clearing...there's a way to Jotunheim there." Tove told Astrid.

Astrid smiled tenderly as she went up to her room to change. Tove sighed and looked at Frigga.

"What do you see, my Queen; I'm asking you as the goddess of marriage."

Frigga smiled warmly and said,

"If their love is tender and true...they would be a wonderful couple. The matter of children might be ways away but they will work it out if this love is beyond physical raw passion like Astrid hopes it is."

Astrid was dressed in a very warm dress, coat, boots, and scarf and used her magic to warp to Wellspring and found a passage under the falls. She was warped to Jotunheim and it was a frozen wonderland as she was at the entrance to the palace city. Astrid smiled softly as she backed away from the palace and waved her fingers in the air to shoot fireworks. With bated breath she waited and waited until a familiar hulking giant met her at the entrance. He smiled softly and used his magic to change his size to be just slightly taller.

"No matter what my future holds...I know I want you to be in it...If you still want me?" Astrid asked poetically.

Loki smiled at Astrid's words and held her in a tender embrace. A woman with a heart of frost, truly thawed with him and she was truly a woman he wanted in his life.

"Oh I would love to have you. I'm glad you're not the one that got away but the one who loved and came back to me. My father would love to meet the daughter of Frode; this was a day we've all waited for."

Astrid blushes tenderly and nuzzles into Loki's neck.

"And you've been what I've been waiting for; someone to show me love, open my eyes, and unfreeze my frozen heart. With you Loki, I hope to continue our romance and experience everything our love can be."

And so; even with this alternative universe; Astrid Frodedotter found love with Loki Laufeyson. Though she hadn't grown up with him and Thor; she still had a connection to the crowned prince of frost giants and truly wants to love him with her heart. Soulmates even in this reality; their love can only grow more and more. Loki knows in his heart of hearts he's found his Queen and future mother of his children and heirs and Astrid found something more precious than power and magic; a pure connection that awakened her mind and thawed her heart.
