ONE MONTH AFTER VANELTINES DAY. TWO MONTHS AFTER BATTLEWORLD
Remember when Tommy talked about how he was told he had powers from his mother in the original timeline?
Yeah, it was pretty embarrassing.
Luckily, Peter, Frost and Caitlin came up with an alternative to that...accidentally turning off the dampeners five years earlier.
Tommy Snow-Parker sighed as he walked into his home with his twin sister Tina right behind him as they both felt completely tired from their long day at school.
He and his sister were the same height and shared the same light blue and green mixed colored eyes, light brown hair with a streak of white across the front of their hair. For Tommy, it was right across his head, but for Tina it was a strand from the top of the left side of her head and down to her shoulder length hair and a pair of reading glasses on her face, which she's told makes her look like her father when he wore glasses.
"Long day?" Frost asked her half-kids as she strolled past and saw the two drop down onto the chairs at the table.
"Eh, we haven't been feeling well." Tina explains as Frost starts to feel wrong at the pit of her stomach.
"I'm gonna go lie down. Your Mom and Dad are still out." Frost tells the two and strolled to the couch.
Out would be a loose term as Peter was currently being held up by Donald Callahan the Squid whilst Flash was fighting Laura Fortune.
Donny got caught up in a bad crowd and got involved with street gangs as a young man. Donny and his girlfriend Laura Fortune had an opportunity to receive superhuman powers from a criminal organization. They both agreed to the process and became Squid and Ms. Fortune.
Yeah, they're not surprised at the strange villains at this point.
Barry sped around and tangled him up with Squid and entrapped him and causing him to drop Peter. "This is seriously the most ridiculous fight we've had."
"Really?" Peter asked as he flipped and kicked Ms. Fortune in the back of the head. "We fought aliens alongside ponies to save the multiverse. And this is strange to you?"
"I'm sorry, what?" Fortune asked in shock.
"It was a lot more heroic than it sounds." Barry promises as he kept a tight hold on Squid and all of his arms.
Peter then shot a giant web-net to catch Ms. Fortune and smacked her against the wall. "And at the same time, it's as stupid as it sounds."
"HA!" Squid laughs at them. "You fools! This was only a distraction! In a few minutes, the EMP will go off and destroy all nuclear powered facilities in Central City!"
That caused both Peter and Barry to turn to Squid in complete confusion.
"What?" Barry asked, thinking he misheard him.
"You heard me! Soon, this city will burn and shrivel!" Squid promised.
"Uh...Central City doesn't have a nuclear power plant." Peter broke to him.
That causes Squid to freeze and becomes very confused. "There isn't?"
"No!" Both heroes cried out.
"Literally all you're gonna roast are a few household appliances." Peter stated.
"Huh...whoops." Squid commented as the heroes rubbed their heads/eyes in annoyance of this guy. "I guess I should've done my research."
"Where is it?" Barry asked, his tone filled with annoyance.
Just then, they felt a blast of EMP energy flow through their bodies and suits and sent flying through the city.
"Over there." Squid answered, a little too late.
The EMP barley did any damage throughout the whole city as it just sparked a few electronics here and there.
Until it reached the Snow-Parker-Frost household.
Th wave of energy passed through everything in their home but went unnoticed by the twins as they strolled through the household and saw their aunt was sleeping on the couch.
"Aunt Frost, you okay?" Tina asked as she leaned over on the top of the couch down to her.
"Yeah...just not feeling alright, honey." Frost tells her. "I might have a cold."
"You're always cold." Tommy commented as he came back with a cup in-hand of milk.
"Ha. You've got your fathers sense of humor." Frost said sarcastically.
The two kids chuckle, not looking down to realize that Tina's power dampening necklace has been flashing alerting the power has stopped working, along with Tommy's shirt neck's has also been flashing.
Barry sped himself and Peter back to STAR labs and were both worn out from the stupidity these villains keep getting.
"And I thought that King Shark would be the strongest villain we fought." Caitlin commented from her seat next to cisco as Miles was sitting on the computer table.
"Really? On my list, Cicada was our weirdest. Or at least stupidest." Peter commented as he removed his mask. "How's Frost doing?"
"She's gonna come in later, I wasn't even aware she could get sick." Caitlin commented.
"Well, welcome to the world post Battleworld." Cisco commented as he leaned on his seat. "Which I have to say, I'm proud to have titled the Crisis."
"You're naming our crisis'?" Barry questioned.
"Well, they'd all blur together if I didn't." Cisco informed him. "I call our first one Crisis on Infinite What If's."
"Why?" Frankie asked as she strolled in, no idea why he would call it that.
"Because all of those other realities are basically What If's." Cisco explains to her.
"Touché." Frankie guesses.
"And then for our biggest one, I've been throwing around some ideas with that Ms. Marvel girl on Earth-616, we've thought of calling it Battleworld! Under the file of a Secret War." Cisco said, proud of the name.
"A Secret War?" Peter asks, a little confused. "You expecting another coming up?"
"No, but Director Parker does. He believes the Batman Who Laughs might've been just a pawn in a bigger game." Cisco explains to him. "Except the Avengers think he might just be paranoid."
"Well, he's the head of a multimillion dollar company in charge of protecting the planet from alien invasions." Frost supposed as she strolled into the room. "I think he has a reason to be paranoid."
"Oh, hey, Frost, you're here." Caitlin said, happy to see her here already. "Where are the twins?"
"Meh, they must've caught my bug, they felt ill apparently and went to take a nap. So I came over here." Frost said. "How'd it go against the Squid an Ms. Fortune?"
"The idiots tried to blow up a fictional nuclear power plant." Barry answered as he took off his cowl.
Peter smiled and walked up to Frost and pecker her head. "You sure you should be walking around?"
"Meh, I'm fine." Frost shrugged. "But you know how Caity is. She gets worked up over a small boo-boo when the twins get a cut."
Peter chuckled and let Caitlin take Frost away to the medical wing. "I might go check on the twins, make sure they're doing okay."
"Oh, come on, they're fine. Let them rest." Frost tells him as she was lead into the med wing.
Peter sighed and looked to the suit holders and had a small sad look when he saw Ralph's suit. It's been a strange month since Ralph actually left the city a short while after Valentine's day when he met a woman, Sue Dearbon. And then he just left the city. But he wasn't the only one Lucius Fox also surprised them with his retirement after Battleworld.
The labs have been feeling more and more empty with their absence, but they always stop by every once in a while.
Peter then strolled out of the labs, wanting to keep the kids safe no matter what, even if they just might be tired.
Caitlin did a few tests on Frost and deduced she definitely didn't have a fever. She didn't have a temperature, or anything that would have indicated it, so there might actually be something wrong with her.
It took some time to do the tests, and a lot of complaining from Frost, but they finally got the results from Caitlin's tests.
"Let's take a look." Caitlin whispers as she took the tablet in her hand and began to look over them, Frost saw as a good sign when she had no visible reaction to the results...until Caitlin became very shocked. "Oh my god."
"What?" Frost asked in fear of what the news is.
"Crystal...you haven't been feeling well for the past few days, right?" Caitlin asked her with a brow raised.
"Now that I think about it, yeah." Frost suddenly realized. "Just thought it was a cold."
"Well...how about strange cravings?" Caitlin asks.
"No. Unless you count the strong amount of chocolate and pickles I've been eating." Frost guesses when she begins to catch onto what Caitlin was saying. "Oh my god, please don't say-"
"You're pregnant." Caitlin squeaked out as she backed away.
"What?!" Frost cried as she stood in fear.
"For about a month." Caitlin whispered.
Frost had no idea what to say or even how this was possible when it finally hit her. "Oh, Valentine's day."
"That could have been it." Caitlin said with a tiny smile.
"Oh, god!" Frost cried in agony.
"We've gotta tell Peter." Caitlin tells her.
"Yeah, we should, but not today. He's already tired enough as it is." Frost sighed as she tried to pull herself together as it is.
Meanwhile, back at the household, the twins were in their separate rooms and were not really having a good night.
Tommy was asleep, but his body began to boil as his powers began to become less and less suppressed and began to embed into their DNA forever. His powers were beginning to give him his powers from his father as his hands began to grow hairs so he can stick to surfaces, as well as the rest of his body.
Across the hall, Tina was freezing as she was trying to warm herself up, when she let out a breath of air and a puff of smoke appear in front of her face.
The next morning, Tommy was the first one to wake up and began to get dressed when he noticed that his clothes seemed to have shrank in the night.
'That's weird. My pants shrank.' Tommy thought to himself and wondered why this happened. "I think I hit puberty!"
Tina was passing her brother's room at the exact same time and froze in disgust when she heard what her brother said.
Tommy somehow even senses his sister outside and froze. That wasn't with his yet to be discovered powers, it was more of a twin intuition thing.
"Should have kept that to myself..." Tommy whispered to himself.
Tina's morning was much stranger when she somehow woke up on the floor of her room. But what was more surprising to her was when she looked around the room and see a small layer of frost was covering her wood floor.
"What the heck?" Tina asked as she got up and looked around the room. She then got off the floor and tried her best not to slip on the ice and reached for her glasses and read a message from her mom.
Wait.
Tina looked shocked as she was actually able to read the message with ease without her glasses. Then she looked up and saw herself in the mirror and saw she somehow gained abs in her sleep.
Then her head started to hurt as she turned to face her alarm just as it went off. Tina was suddenly annoyed by the noise as she held her hands over her ears it became so loud.
Getting over to the alarm, she started growing anger at it and went to slam it off, and when she did, she was shocked to see a cloud of mist coming off her hand and ended up freezing the alarm solid and shattering it.
And the day got weirder passing her brother's door.
Tommy rubbed his eyes, trying to get over the strange morning and goes to the bathroom and grabs the toothpaste, but when he pinched it, toothpaste was sent flying out and hitting the mirror.
Getting really confused, he just wiped a bit off the mirror and went to turn the faucet but was met with the whole thing coming off and spraying water everywhere.
Tommy worked fast and quickly threw a towel over it, completely confused as to what's happening.
Peter woke up, feeling as if there was something wrong with the day. Something he just couldn't put a finger on.
But what was really confusing to him was when he made it into the living room and was met with Caitlin and Crystal siting at the table with the twins nowhere to be found.
"What...are...you two doing?" Peter asked them in worry.
"You should take a seat, honey." Caitlin tells him and Peter becomes very afraid as he does as they ask.
"Where are the twins?" Peter asked as he hasn't seen them all morning.
"They left early." Frost answered. "But...we have news you should hear."
"What is it?" Peter asked as he sat down.
Caitlin looked down to Frost who really didn't want to do this. "Frost has something that she wants to tell you."
Crystal groaned as she really didn't want to do this. She reached onto her pocket and showed him the pregnancy test.
Peter just suddenly became limp as he reached out as best he could before turning it over and seeing the result. "Wait...you're...you're..."
"Pregnant, sexy." Frost finally broke to him.
"No..." Peter whispered, thinking it was a joke.
"Yes." Caitlin broke to him.
"How?" Peter asked.
"You already have twins; I think you know how." Frost joked.
"But...oh my god!" Peter cried as he stood up. "Well, what does this mean?"
"It means we're having another kid." Caitlin broke to him.
"Ah!" Peter cried as he ran around the living room before placing his hands on the kitchen counter.
"He's taking it better than I was expecting." Frost joked.
"Okay, I'm calm." Peter said as he took a few deep breaths and walked over to them. "I'm sorry, you took me by surprise."
"Sounds like you almost had a heart attack." Frost informed him.
"Well, yeah!" Peter stated as if that was obvious. "You just said that we've got another one on the way. How is this even possible? I thought you said you had it covered!" He informed Frost about what she said on Valentine's Day.
"Dude, I couldn't even walk right for a week." Frost defended. "I thought that my powers would stop it anyways."
"What?" Peter asked and turned to Caitlin. "You couldn't have talked to her about this?"
"About what? She stated she wanted to be more careful after she kinda-sorted helped us with making the twins." Caitlin stated, no idea what she could've done.
Peter then grabbed onto the chair for support, no idea what to even say. "Okay...okay...so we're going to have another kid. That isn't scary. Not frightening. It's not like we didn't even know if we were making the right choice with the twins, who are a mix of the three of us, and are now throwing a child who is 50% Crystal and 50% me. No offense, Crystal."
"None taken." Crystal promised.
"Guys, I know this is scary, but this time around, we know what to expect." Caitlin promises.
"No, we actually don't." Peter retaliated. "We knew what to expect with a half normal person and a half-whatever-the-heck Frost is."
"Okay, a little offended now." Crystal commented.
"This is a new level of pregnancy. When Cecile was pregnant, she gained the ability to read minds. And she wasn't a metahuman!" Peter screamed as he grabbed his hair to try and calm down a little.
"Okay, so we'll keep doing it the same we've always done it." Caitlin tried to calm him down and got him to sit and held his hand. "We'll push through it together."
"I hate how you're the voice of reason in this relationship sometimes." Peter confesses.
Meanwhile at school, Tommy was walking around and trying to do so in his pants that were now too small for him.
'I gotta get new pants.' Tommy thought to himself as he strolled through the halls. 'Wait, why is my inner voice so loud?'
Just then, his head buzzed, and his entire body moved almost on autopilot as he quickly dodged getting hit by a basketball that was sent flying through the halls.
"That's weird." Tommy whispered in confusion.
Tina wasn't much better as she was in the bathroom and washing her face.
"Okay, something's definitely wrong." Tina whispered to herself as she looked over herself in the mirror. "I should call mom. And tell her what? Your body's changing? She'll tell you it's puberty. And I do not want that talk!" Just then, her head buzzed, causing her to flinch and throw her handout, and she ended up punching a fly and shattering the mirror.
Quickly looking around, she saw nobody saw her and quickly hide it out of the bathroom and was even more surprised to see she wasn't even hurt from the glass.
Don't ask how he ended up this way, but Tommy was currently hanging from the ceiling and was trying to pry himself free.
"Stop sticking!" Tommy cried as he got free, but it was his feet first and he was sent swinging like a pendulum and then freed himself as he was sent flying out the window and sticking to the wall. "Keep sticking!"
Tina was going through a similar conundrum...except a little smaller.
She was walking to a water fountain and then began to drink from it when it began to freeze over on her, causing her to move her lips away before they froze to the stream.
"Okay...time to call mom." Tina could clearly see.
"I thought this wasn't supposed to happen for another five years." Caitlin commented as he looked at Tina and Tommy struggling with their powers in the med lab. They got a call from Tina that there was something wrong, and when they finally discovered the two of them, they saw their powers have manifested.
"Something must've happened to short off their power dampeners." Peter said as Cisco was looking into it now.
"Nothing went wrong with them, but they just short circuited." Cisco deduced as he finished looking them over. "But...I think I learned what went wrong."
"What?" Peter asked.
"The EMP that Squid set off...it might be done something to the dampeners to shut them off." Cisco explained.
"That would've explained their sudden illness last night." Frost commented as she was downing ice cream in the second office chair.
"Think it's time?" Peter asked Caitlin.
"We don't really have a choice, do we?" Caitlin stated. "Think we should tell them about their upcoming sibling during this?"
"Their worlds already gonna be turned upside down. Might as well." Peter guessed and walked into the med lab with Caitlin close behind, leaving Frost and Cisco.
"So...thinking of any names?" Cisco asked Frost.
Frost turned and looked to him with a unamused look. "You really wanna talk about that?"
"Not really, but I fear if I mess with you, you might become emotional and freeze me." Cisco explains.
"Don't tempt me." Frost warned him.
