AFTER CRISIS:
It has been a few weeks since the crisis started, and a few less weeks since the Sinister Six came from across the multiverse and tried to kill him. Luckily Peter had help from his fellow Spider-Men across the multiverse to fight their villains.
Peter walked into the apartment he's sharing with his best friend Ned, girlfriend Michelle, and sister Ava while they're attending S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. Which is a school Peter attended when he was five, just sort of behind the scenes.
But if they wanna attend S.H.I.E.L.D., this is the best school for them. Even if they didn't wanna join the organization, this school would help them get the job they wanted.
Walking into the apartment, Peter and MJ had just gotten back from a dinner date, whist Ned was getting acquainted with Fitz-Simmons, who immediately fell for Peter's friend.
"Well, I think Ned found a new trio to be a part of." MJ commented as they dropped their belongings on the table.
"I honestly knew that'd happen." Peter admitted just when his senses went off. Looking around the room, Peter noticed there were a few anomalies in their apartment.
The first one being that they didn't leave the light on over the stove. They definitely didn't leave the window open on a cold winter night. And they definitely didn't leave a bunch of boxes of macaroni and cheese over the counter.
Peter then sensed another presence in the place and shot a web at whoever it was, only for them to raise a pot and shield their face.
"Peter Parker-Coulson?" The person asked in a strong Russian accent. Peter and MJ looked at one another before back to the girl, wondering who she is. "Hi." She greeted as she moves the pot out of her face, revealing some blonde wearing casual clothing. "I made macaroni if either of you want any."
"What?" MJ asked, not sure how to react at this stranger who broke into their place.
"Well, I was starving and you two were taking forever." She defended and showed off the bowl. "So, I wanted to make food. If I knew you guys were on a date at the time, I would've eaten sooner."
She then placed down the pot on their table and Peter was starting to sense this isn't a dangerous person. Okay, he could sense she was dangerous, but not dangerous to them.
"Who are you?" Peter asked.
"Oh, right, sorry, where are my manners?" She asked as she made her way to their kitchen. "My names Yelena." She then reached and took a few forks from their drawers. "Yelena Belova."
That name immediately meant something to Peter as he looked shocked. "Yelena? As in Natasha's sister?"
"Natasha has a sister?" MJ was shocked to hear.
"Yeah, it's a long story." Peter whispered and Yelena returned to the table. "She was raised alongside Natasha for a few years before being taken to the Red Room."
"That is correct." Yelena confirmed. "You guys really not hungry?"
"We just had dinner." MJ informed her.
"Come on, with that metabolism of yours, I doubt you're not hungry." Yelena sighed as she gestured to Peter. "Yes, Natasha talks about you a lot. Come on, if I wanted to hurt you, I-"
"Would have done it when we first came in." Peter understood.
"Like, you couldn't have been closed the door." Yelena confirmed.
"Does Natasha know you're here?" Peter wondered.
"No, because you see, I was part of the half of the universe that was dusted. Just like the two of you." Yelena explained to them. "And I've been looking for my sister, but she's become a bit more difficult to find. So, I thought I would go for the person she cares about most."
"Cares about most?" Peter asked.
"Come on, like you didn't know you were Natasha's favorite." Yelena stated, noticing he actually didn't know. "Wow, you didn't."
"Natasha's not one to talk about her feelings often." Peter explains.
"Yep, no, she doesn't." Yelena confirmed. "I mean, she cared about you most. But hey, when every secret organization is gunning for you, I'd care about them most, too."
"Wait, what?" Peter was getting seriously lost. "HYDRA was the only organization gunning for me."
"You don't actually believe that, do you?" Yelena asked as she took some macaroni. Then she saw his face again. "Wow, and I thought you were this super smart genius. Or maybe some information being held from you. Or maybe even they didn't know to share it."
"What are you talking about?" MJ asked.
"Everyone was gunning for you." Yelena explained. "HYDRA, the Red Room, Alchemax, and many, many more. You were the perfect person to build an army of super soldiers. One drop of blood, and that gave birth to the Green Goblin. Then it created Centipede soldiers."
"Yeah, I don't need a recap of my own life." Peter stated. "Can we go back to why you're here?"
"Right, because I'm looking for Natasha. And I know she wouldn't leave you without having a way to contact her."
"You're looking for her phone number." Peter put together.
"Basically." Yelena shrugged.
"Could've just said so." Peter stated and walked over to a portion of the wall to open a vault in the wall and pulled out a burner phone. "Nat? Hey, we've got Yelena. Yeah, she broke in through the window. Thanks." He then hung up and walked over to them. "Nat's stuck in Washington to bring her back to life. Because you know she technically died for a few months."
"How long is she gonna be?" Yelena wondered.
"She said she'll be back by the end of the week. You're welcome to stay here, as long as you learn to use a door." Peter said as he gestured back to the window. "No need to keep breaking the window."
"Seems like a fine deal." Yelena guesses.
"This should be fun." MJ sighed, feeling their place was getting a little crowded, but it's not like she's going to stick around.
