Hours later, Vince was in the gorilla position getting runs to the show along with Caroline Orton. RAW opens with a video looking at John Cena is going to denials of love and care from wife and father in law. We end on John's promise to be in the ring. The normal intro happens next and then a live shot inside the Richmond Coliseum as the pyro goes off. Michael Cole welcomes the fans who are watching at home on the USA Network. JBL and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler join him. Right to the ring, we go as promised, John Cena's music hits!
The crowd goes wild as out he goes with WWE Championship in his hand. He raises the title and makes his way to the ring, and enters the ring. He raises the title again to a huge pop.
"It looks like we're going to have John Cena vs. Curtis Axel!" Michael exclaimed.
Curtis Axel's music hits and out he comes with Paul Heyman beside his side. The crowd is firmly behind John Cena as Axel takes his time to enter the ring. The bell ring and John attacks him and kicks him in the gut and into the corner. John unloads with some big right hands to Axel. The referee Charles Robinson breaks it up, but John pushes and stomps Axel a bit the corner. Referee Charles Robinson tries to hold him off again, but John hits a suplex and then covers for him for a one. John works over Axel as Vince McMahon's music hits! John has a side headlock on Axel while staring at Vince the entire time. Vince walks down the ramp and around the ring.
John whips Axel into the ropes and Axel hits a shoulder blocks then, are tossed over the top ropes as if it was nothing. Vince goes over to the timekeeper area, rings the bell and then tells Justin Roberts something and then he says, "That the match is drawn."
Vince power walks backs up the ramp, completely ignoring, yelling of John. Heyman is giggles in the corner. John leaves the ring and wants the match restart. He gets back in the ring, and they lock up, to start, into another side headlock, as McMahon powerwalks down the ramp yet again. John hits the ropes and shoulder tackles as Axel heads to the corner. The crowd chants "you suck," as McMahon ring bell yet again, then has Roberts announces that the match ended in a double Disqualifications.
John leaves the ring again, and asks Roberts yet again, to restart, the match… as a 60 minutes Iron match. He gets back into the ring before the official match can start, Vince comes staggering back out heading back to ringside and over to Roberts again. John stares him down, as Vince tells Curtis to leaves to the ring. He leaves the ring, as Vince grabs the bell and tells Roberts to get another mic, and the timekeeper to get another bell. He walks away with bell and mic as RAW goes to commercial break.
We are back from break, and John with Stephanie and his is not happy. She tries to calm him down. John says, "He crossed the line and that is so embarrassing. I am the WWE Champion." Stephanie agrees but pleas for John not to hurt him. He is not getting any younger.
She says, "She wants John to remember yesterday with Vince in the pool playing with their kids."
John says, "If he talks to him, it is not going to the pretty baby. So you should talk to him."
Sophia says, "Daddy is mad at grandpa."
Yes, he is," Khloe, said as they watched Kane take on Dean Ambrose.
Toward the ends of the match, they saw their uncle Randy help save Kane. Back to commercial and then back from the break and a backstage segment Kane and Randy argue with Daniel Bryan. Vickie Guerrero comes in and makes Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns in a WWE Tag Team Title match at Payback. Kane isn't happy about this. Vickie grants Kane a US Title shot for Payback.
"Khloe, I don't like him," JJ said.
"Me either JJ," she said.
Back to the ring and as Miz come out and RAW goes back to commercial. Back from the break and the match is underway with WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett is on commentary... Khloe, JJ, and Sophia watch the match. They saw Miz get the win over Cody Rhodes. After the match, Miz celebrate the win, Barrett enters the ring and Paul Heyman interrupts. He says, "Vickie Guerrero has allowed Curtis Axel to take Fandango's spot at Payback. Axel comes out and cuts a promo about he will be the next Intercontinental Champion.
Cole leads the fans to a promo about Mark Henry's return next week. The Hall of Pain is returning. Chris Jericho is walking backstage as we go to commercial. Back from the break and we get a looks at how RAW opened with Vince McMahon and John Cena.
To the back go, we go and see Stephanie in the office with Vince and he has his back to her.
Stephanie says, "I know you are upset and knows he is just trying to protect John but what he did was embarrassing and Vince can relate to how proud John is."
Vince says, "He heard what John and Stephanie said I'm not getting any younger."
He goes on and says, "John made her cry, and he is angry about it."
Stephanie says, "No, Vince. You are the one who made me cry. Vince doesn't care about John's pride, he puts the WWE first."
Vince says, "He doesn't care about John pride. That family or not, business, comes first."
Stephanie says, "Yeah, how I know the business always come first."
Vince says, "I do what is best for business every single time. I know that you Steph care WWE too. It is best that Stephanie keeps John away from him."
She asks for an attempt from Vince, but he says, "That if he did John would not like what he said to how said it and excuse himself."
Stephanie has left with her thought. Back to the ring for Chris Jericho promo that leads to World heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler with AJ Lee and Big E Langston to comes out. Ziggler cut a promo and Jericho suggests a warm-up match for tonight.
Ziggler says, "Jericho can face Big E Langston" and that match is up next after the commercial. Back from the break and the match is underway and there was action throughout and Jericho hits the codebreaker for the win. After the match, we go backstage again to see Stephanie talks with Randy Orton.
"It's always business first with him, not family. The family should come before anything includes business."
"Stephanie please relaxes, and I understand where you are coming from," Randy said.
"This is why I want John spent the weekend at home with the kids so that they do not feel like I did when I was growing up; he was gone half the time. He really doesn't know me as my mom does."
"I know Steph. However, you know as well I do that both Vince and John can be stubborn at time. Let them work out their problems."
RAW goes back commercials. Back from the break to Vickie Guerrero is backstage with Brad Maddox. Vickie is downing a big Hardee cheeseburger. Vince appears and tells Vickie to breathe and swallow. Vickie licks her fingers and goes to shakes Vince's hand. Vince is clearly in a bad mood tonight.
Vince says, "Isn't sure about the Ryback and John Cena face off tonight."
Maddox suggests they have the Payback lumberjacks come out to the ring tonight. Vince says, "That's a good idea and Vickie should share her burger with Brad."
We go back to the ring and out first goes Randy Orton. Daniel Bryan come out and waits with Orton as we go back to commercial. Back from the break and outcomes WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Backstage Caroline watched the match with her sister in law and brother. They watched the match and there was lots of action throughout the match, Orton nails the second rope draping DDT. Rollins comes in and Orton tries to DDT him but Reigns makes the save and pulls him out. Bryan comes in and leaps out onto Reigns and Rollins, taking them down on the floor.
They continue to watch as Bryan took on Seth Rollins and he got the win. They saw how RAW opened with John Cena and Vince McMahon tonight. Still, to come, Cena and Ryback will face off with the lumberjack at ringside. RAW goes back to commercial. Back from the break and an in-ring segment happens and then back to commercial RAW goes. Back from the break and another single match happens and after the single match, Sheamus comes out to the stage and cut a promo on his opponent Damien Sandow.
After the promo, Stephanie McMahon Cena tells a crewmember to go find Vince and have him meet her in their office because it's urgent and it's about business. She then tells another crewmember to find John Cena, tells him to get there because it's urgent and it's personal. Back to commercial we go.
Back from the break and a video vignette for Ryback's rage. We go to the ring as Vickie Guerrero leads the lumberjacks out and they surround the ring. Before another commercial break, more video shows. Back from the break and Vince is talking to Stephanie when John shows up and an argument breaks out. Stephanie screams at them and says, "I don't need this kind of stress."
They both look at her, and she says, "You two have forgotten that I am pregnant with my fifth child for Christ sake."
She storms off leaving them there until John says, "I have to face off with Ryback." He walks off. Stephanie comes back in and asks, "Where is my husband"
"John walks off because he has a faceoff with Ryback."
Back to the ring, we go, and it is surrounding by WWE Superstars and out first comes WWE Champion John Cena. An ambulance pulls up to the stage and outcome Ryback. Ryback heads to the stage instead of going to the ring where everyone is. Cena reminds Ryback that face to face means he needs to waddle his ass to the ring and face the WWE Champion.
Cena cuts Ryback off and talks about the Three Stages of Hell match at Payback.
Ryback says, "He could tear through any of the Lumberjacks, Cena or any of the fans."
He says, "He deserves to be WWE Champion."
They go back and forth on the mic.
Ryback says, "He got too good, too fast and became a threat to Cena. He became so popular so Cena went to damage control."
He goes on and says, "When the going got tough, Cena left him high and dry."
Cena tells Ryback to shot up. Cena puts Ryback over but says, "He spends all his time bitching and crying."
Cena says, "On Sunday, he's walking into hell but he's walking out saying the champ is here."
Ryback says, "His eyes are wide open now, he can see Cena and he's full of crap."
He says, "The legend of John Cena ends on Sunday."
Ryback goes on and says, "Cena has an un-athletic body."
He says, "He will become WWE Champion at Payback."
Ryback says, "He will take Cena's spot and then watch as Stephanie struggle with being a single parent."
Cena takes off his shirt and readies to go after Ryback. Cena runs out of the ring but the Lumberjack stops him. Cena looks at Ryback and he tries to go another way but they stop him again. Ryback runs down but Cena ducks and sends him over the top into the lumberjack who tosses him back into the ring.
Cena unloads on him for his comments about Stephanie. The lumberjack enters to try to break them apart. Cena breaks free but they have separated again, Randy help holds his brother in law. Raw goes off the air with Cena and Ryback being held back by the lumberjack. Half of the lumberjack got Ryback out of the ring and up the ramp, John breaks free and try to go after Ryback again, but the lumberjack stops him.
"Son of a bitch!" Stephanie snapped, getting to her feet and making her out.
Wait!" Caroline shouted after her sister in law who is already stormed out to the stage. Quickly she and Triple H followed after her as she made her way to the stage. Superstars tried to calm John Cena down, while the crowd still booed quite upset that they didn't get to see Cena beats up Ryback. Cena trying to break free to get to Ryback until Stephanie moved in his path, stopping him dead in his track when he saw his wife, sister and Triple H.
"Sorry, sweetheart, but that is enough." She warned him, and thankfully that the RAW had gone off the air after he and Ryback were separate again. The WWE Universe in the arena would witness this moment, even if they couldn't hear what is being said.
Cena gaze was full by rage and rush of adrenaline. Caroline attempts to pull her back, but she stops her. "I got this sis!" She snapped while standing in the path of her husband. "Calm down, baby," she said softly, as the WWE Universe began chanting her name. "Calm down, now," she added stepping closer to him.
"Steph, you shouldn't be out here," he said.
Yes, I shouldn't be, but my husband decides to go berserk." She said, pressed a kiss to his lips before he hugs her.
He whispers "Thank you, baby."
"You are welcome," she said softly. The WWE Universe cheered for them as they head to back.
