The confusion

'So I see you've made your choice. I am very proud of you Persephone'

Her daughter couldn't be more confused. What was her mother proud of? But she couldn't say anything after all she didn't remember what she or better said what her other form said to her mother.

'...Yes...' said almost shy Persephone

'You don't need to worry daughter, he is after all my brother and out of the three of them he is the one I trust most. He will at least try to help you...I know we never really spoke about this but I know Persephone' her mother put her arms gently around Persephone

'You know?' she couldn't be more confused

'I know, my daughter, something is calling you, a part of Earth that I cannot reach. The prophecy...I don't know what it truly means but whatever it is you have to be prepared!' she looked serious in her eyes 'Persephone, don't forget you are my daughter and a powerful Goddess and nothing and nobody can take that from you'

Persephone didn't understand what happened but it was exactly what she needed to hear. For such a long time she felt out of place and was afraid to tell anyone about it. She felt something was waiting for her but she had no idea her mother knew as well.

'Mom, thank you...' Persephone hugged her mother and tears started rolling on her face but soon she felt smoke surrounding both of them and out of it came a very handsome and unknown to her God

'Ughhh...sorry about that, been a while since I've been to surface. I had to make an entry' he was smiling sheepishly

'Charon! What a surprise! Don't get this wrong but...' Demeter didn't manage to finish her sentence

'You expected Hades. I know. I am not going to lie to you Demeter but as you and I are both aware there was a party in the heavens last night and Ares had fun with the drinks' Charon smiled

'Ah...out of the three of them I trust him the most, but he is still a brother to them. Don't forget that Persephone' her mother looked at her 'So be it...Persephone, since the King himself has a bit of a hangover, Charon will accompany you to the Underworld. Don't worry about your belongings. I know it was short notice and I will send Hermes tomorrow with all you belongings'

Persephone felt like she hit a wall. What was happening? She was grateful her mother noticed that something was off with her but the solution was to send her in the Underworld? What was her mother thinking?

'You know..I expected more...pink...in her outfit' Charon was looking at Persephone

'She is my daughter not Aphrodite's daughter! And you and Hades better keep that in mind!'

Charon kept the smug on his face saying loud 'Don't worry, she is safe with me' and in a whisper voice to Persephone 'but I can't guarantee for my king as well'

Demeter rolled her eyes at Charon and hugged her daughter one more time

'You learn as much as possible to control your powers there. I will try to find as much as I can here, on the surface. I will go among mortals for a while and I will visit you as soon as I can' she kissed her daughter's forehead and Charon lend his hand towards Persephone.

Persephone took his hand and in an instant was covered by the same smoke she felt earlier. She started to get dizzy but only for a moment. When she opened her eyes she couldn't see the sun she was used to anymore and right in front of her were two huge gates that opened to reveal an enormous land full of what seemed to be nymphs and people, dead ones Persephone realized, and right ahead a huge palace that was waiting for her

'Welcome to the Underworld, Persephone!' Charon said in a proud voice
