The doctor activated and there was no one there. Looking around and came to the shock realization that there was no one there.

The Doctor searched through the blanket on the bio-bed. The doctor stared at the spot where he had left Harry. Where could he have gone, he's two months old he couldn't have crawled off. As an angry look came across his face and finished that thought on his own!

The doctor grabbed his mobile emitter asked the computer "where is Harry Kim?" happy that he had the forethought to put Harry's com-badge in the folds of the blanket he was wrapped in.

The computer came back saying Ensign Harry Kim is in the quarter of Lieutenant Tom Pairs. The doctor hissed angrily as he headed out the door. As he stomped down the hall to the turbo lift in the turbo lift was Tuvok and see the state the doctor was in he asked what was wrong?

Tom Pairs stole Harry from sickbay. Tuvok nodded then said "you should have contacted me, I'm the security office. "That right" the doctor said, "so when we get to Tom's quarters you can shoot him!"

"You mean stun?" Tuvok

The doctor just rolled his eyes.

They both got off on tom floor and Tuvok asks "how do you know Tom has Harry, if you saw him taking him why didn't you stop him in med-bay?"

"I didn't see him take Harry if I did, you would have collected him in med-bay!" the doctor growled.

Then how do you know Tom has Harry?

"I put Harry com badge in the folds of his blankets."

"oh," Tuvok said eyebrow raised.

They had arrived at Tom's door and the Doctor started hitting the chime for the door.

As soon as the door opened the doctor was in before Tuvok could say anything, then out the doctor went with Harry in his arms hissing as he left.

The doctor went down the hall into the turbo lift and back to the med-bay. Once they were back the Doctor placed Harry back on the med-bay bed. Then scanned Harry just to make sure he was all right, not that Doctor thought that Tom or Be'Lanna would hurt Harry on purpose, but babies are fragile, and Tom has had butterfingers.

Two scanners later the doctor was satisfied that Harry was all right.

The doctor picked Harry up and took him into the bathroom filled the small tube with warm water and bubbles. Harry looked at the tube and tried to wiggle away, but a 2mouth old body made getting away hard. The Doctor gave Harry a toy duck he had replicated, he then placed Harry in the tube.

A quick bath, clean onesies, diapers and a clean blanket. Then back into the center of the bio-bed. "there" the doctor smiled "your clean worm and safe!" the doctor pulled up the side rails.

The doctor turned quickly when he heard the door open. There stood Sam and Naomi Wildman along with Neelix.

Naomi bolted from Sam's side grabbing the rail and peered over the top. Neelix had followed her and picked her up. Naomi said, "thank you I can see better now."

Naomi wave her hand a Harry, who just blinked back at her.

Naomi looked at Neelix pointed down at Harry and say's "he doesn't do much, does he?"

Neelix told Naomi Harry is a human baby and they grow slow so they can't do much until they are older.

When Sam and the Doctor came over Sam was apologized for just coming in and Naomi wanted to see Harry! "and I hope this makes up for us just invading you!" hold a gift bag. the doctor took out a teddy bear and a pacifier.

Sam and the doctor looked down at Harry who was squirming around on the bed. Sam was awed when she saw him. Sam adjusted the blanket around Harry saying not all babies like their blankets wrapped so tight.

The doctor stated that he wished that Harry would drink his bottle.

So, Sam took the bottle out of statics and tried giving it to Harry without picking him up, but that didn't work either.

Next Neelix tried he gently pick Harry up and settle Harry down in his arms then managed to get the nipple in Harry's mouth, but he just refused to drink.

Harry had started to wine he didn't want to be treated like a baby. Neelix placed his head on his shoulder and was patting Harry on the back and got a few pats in before the doctor took Harry back.

The doctor took the bottle and tried to get Harry to drink; when it didn't work, he laid Harry down on the bed, frustrated he rub his hand over his face.

The doctor said "he didn't know what he was going to do if he couldn't get some of that bottle into Harry, because he doesn't want to watch Harry starving.

As the adult talked, Naomi picks up the bottle and climbed up on the bed, looking down at Harry Naomi smiled and said, "you got to drink this is good for you!" and placed the nipple of the bottle in Harry's mouth.

Harry who was tired of the bottle gets shoved into his face, so to make Naomi happy he just gave in and drank some of the bottles.

The adult looked over and were both relieved when they saw that Harry was drinking his bottle at last but was also worried because Naomi was the one giving it to him. The doctor picked Harry up when he had drunk about half of his bottle and started gently started to pat his back.

Naomi asked, "why did you take him?"

The doctor told her that Harry need to be burped or he'd be sick later on in the night. After a few pats, Harry did burp. Harry was put back in Naomi's lap and give the rest of his bottle the burped again.

Harry was put down on his side and someone rubbed his back until he went to sleep.

The next day Tom and B'Elanna were in the brig with their backs to each other, when the captain showed up, "what were you thinking?"

B'Elanna said, "that they only wanted a look and she didn't know Tom was going to grab Harry and run off with him!"

Tom "I only wanted to see my best friend and the doctor won't let anyone near, so I did what I had to.

Janeway shook her head and took a long drink of her coffee before telling the two that if they had gone to the doctor after he found out this wasn't contagious he would have let you see him if you were quiet, and not try to take him. A few people have seen him Sam, Neelix, Naomi, Chakotay and Myself, but the doctor has become protective of Harry and is not happy with either of you.

You both of you for punishment "will be doing work in med-bay to free up the doctor of the task he thinks you qualified to do." And you will go after your shift now go!"

After they were out in the hall Tom looked to B'Elanna and asked, "do you think he'll get us to look after Harry?"

B'Elanna asked Tom with wide eyes "are you high, the doctor likely to never let either of us near Harry until he is old enough to join Starfleet again!"
