Travelling

Cody shifted slightly as consciousness began to return to him. He frowned, as two things registered to his brain. First was that he felt warm, unusually so, and that it was centralized between his legs. Second was that he could hear a wet sound. He willed his eyes open and looked down, raising an eyebrow as Jessie looked up at him from where she had her lips wrapped around his shaft, smiling even as she continued to bob her head.

"Dammit," he sighed heavily, disguising what would otherwise be a groan. "And here I was hoping to wake up holding you, but you had to go and ruin it with your disgusting perversion."

Jessie rolled her eyes, then sunk down until he slid into her throat, her lips pressing to his shaved pelvis. He groaned and she smiled, beginning to bob her head while keeping her head low. He fisted his hands in the sheets as he felt pressure beginning to build quickly. Her tongue squirmed along the underside of his shaft, wrapping around the sides as she bobbed her head, and she began to hum, the vibrations ricocheting through Cody's nerve endings and rapidly driving him off the edge. He groaned, not even having enough time to warn her before he snapped, erupting into her mouth. However, without missing a beat, she sank down fully once again, getting him into her throat and swallowing every drop. Once he'd finished emptying himself, she bobbed her head a few times, her tongue swirling around his member to clean him off before she released him with a pop, swallowing whatever was left and smiling.

"I'd kiss you good morning, but-"

She squeaked in surprise as he pulled her into a heated kiss, holding her tightly as their tongues fought for dominance, Cody completely ignoring his lingering taste in her mouth. After a few seconds, she pulled back, pulling his mask up for him before raising her hips, lining him up with her dripping entrance.

"Don't you want me to do you?" Cody asked

Jessie smiled, winking. "You're about to."

She moaned as she sank onto him, his groan joining it. As soon as he was fully seated inside of her, she trailed her hands along his forearms starting from his elbows, making him raise his arms before lacing their fingers together. Then, she began to bounce, moaning as she used his arms for leverage. He groaned loudly, eyes hungrily drinking in her nude form. She smiled, beginning to speed up, her moans growing more frequent quickly. However, thanks to her having just made him cum once, he felt his rope beginning to fray quickly. He squeezed her hands to warn her, and she moaned even louder, speeding up. Then, just as his hips bucked up into her and he began to fill her again, her body jerked and clenched as she cried out in pleasure, their combined juices flooding out of her. After a few moments, her rigid muscles unlocked and she lay on his chest, panting and smiling, Cody wrapping his arms around her and pressed his mask into the top of her head for a second.

"Keep that up and I'll get you pregnant," Cody said.

She smiled, squeezing him. "Would that be bad?"

He smiled as his whole body warmed, squeezing her back. "Eventually no, but for now it's probably better if we don't."

She nodded, resting on top of him for a few more minutes before getting up and pulling him into the shower with her. They spent a few minutes fused at the lips, but decided against going another round. After they'd gotten cleaned up and ready for the day, Cody carefully took apart her sword's hilt, swapping the blade for the one he bought for her, then inspecting the firing mechanism. He could modify it to use materia, but he'd need a magazine modified to do it first, which he was pretty sure he could get from Barret, since his magazines were about the size of the sword's hilt, maybe a little bigger.

"How much longer until we leave?" Jessie asked, wrapping her arms around him from behind.

"Probably not long," Cody said, passing her the sword, which she resealed into its materia.

She sighed and nodded, shifting around to sit in his lap, Cody smiling and wrapping his arms around her. They stayed like that for almost an hour before someone knocked on their door.

"Cody, Jessie, it's time to go," Tifa said.

"Coming!" Jessie called back, standing and glancing around to make sure they had everything.

Then, they walked out of the inn, joining the others as they headed east, for lack of a better idea, deciding to head through the Mythril Mines and go to the Junon region.

Cody sighed as they reached the small farm where there was a large pen with chocobos walking around inside of it. Jessie squealed instantly, running over to the pen and reaching out to a chocobo, who lowered its head for her to pet it. Cloud chuckled and summoned his baby chocobo, who streaked over and landed on Jessie's shoulder, rubbing his whole body against her neck. Jessie laughed and reached up to stroke his feathers while the baby chocobo chatted with the larger one. Cloud walked over to stand with her, also reaching out and stroking the larger chocobo's feathers, as Cloud and Barret headed into the farm's house, Tifa and Aerith going to pet a different chocobo.

"You might want to pull your collar a little higher," Cody said. "A couple of your hickeys are showing."

Jessie shrugged. "Let them. I'm not ashamed."

Cody smiled, pressing the front of his mask to her cheek and she turned her head, kissing it. He chuckled, then hopped up to sit on the fence. However, just as he did, his baby chocobo tweeted quickly and the larger one let out a "Wark!"and grabbed him by the back of the collar, pulling him backward so that he fell into the pen. he grunted as he landed on his back, then sighed, glaring up at the baby chocobo.

"Very funny," Cody said, pushing himself to his feet and stroking the chocobo's feathers for a moment before hopping over the fence again.

He reached back to check his suit for rips, but it was fine. He sighed, reaching up and stroking the baby chocobo's feathers just as the others all walked over.

"So, the old man who owns the farm says that we'll need chocobos to make it to the Mythril Mines safely," Cloud said. "Apparently there's a monster called the Midgar Zolom in the marshlands between us and the mine. From the way he described it, it sounded like some kind of snake."

Cody nodded. "I'm guessing there's a complication."

"He says they don't have any to sell us so we'll have to catch our own," Barret said.

"That's easy enough," Cody said, looking at his baby chocobo. "How about it little guy? Think you can get us a ride?"

The baby chocobo trilled happily and flew up to mess up Cody's hair before flying away quickly. Cody chuckled, quickly brushing his hair back into place before petting the adult chocobo one last time, then followed the baby chocobo with the others.

"I never thought to ask, but did you ever name him?" Jessie asked.

"No," Cody said. "Cissnei rejected all the ones I came up with, and she never got around to choosing one."

"What kinds of names did you choose?" Cloud asked.

"Let's see..." Cody said, trying to remember some of the better ones. "Drumstick, Nugget, or Midgar Fried Chocobo, MFC for short."

Everyone groaned, except Jessie, who laughed.

"Cody!" Aerith scolded. "That's awful!"

"No wonder you weren't allowed to name him," Jessie said.

"Why are they all food?" Tifa asked.

"Well what else do you expect me to name a borderline pet chocobo?"

Just then, the baby Chocobo flew back to them, once again messing up Cody's hair before flying over to Jessie and landing on her shoulder, trilling happily again.

"How about Choco?" Jessie asked. "It's short, easy to remember, and has nothing to do with food."

"Whatever you want it to be," Cody smiled.

Jessie smiled. "How about it sweetie?" She scooped him off her shoulder and held her in front of herself. "Do you want to be named Choco?"

Choco cried out happily, hopping on her hand excitedly for a moment before flying forward and bumping his face into her lips before settling on her shoulder. Jessie laughed.

"Look out Cody," Jessie smiled. "Seems like you have some competition."

Cody laughed. "Well, I guess I'll just have to lose his summoning materia."

Choco cheeped indignantly at him as several adult chocobos ran over to them and slowed to a stop. Choco tweeted several times and one of them reached down, using its beak to mess up Cody's hair again. Everyone laughed and Cody rolled his eyes, fixing his hair before hopping up onto that chocobo.

"Come on, then," Cody said, holding his hand out to Jessie.

There were four Chocobos, so two of them would have to partner up with someone else. Jessie climbed up in front of Cody instantly, Cody wrapping his arms around her and pressing the front of his mask to her shoulder before resting his chin on her unoccupied one. Barret, Tifa, and Aerith all climbed on the other three and Cody grinned, watching Cloud curiously. Aerith and Tifa both exchanged knowing looks before holding their hands out. Cloud groaned, holding a hand to his face.

"Sometime today, Cloud," Cody said.

Cloud glared at him before walking over to Tifa and jumping up behind her. Aerith pouted at him but he rolled his eyes.

"Don't start," Cloud said. "Your spells and staff have more reach than her arms and legs. If we get attacked, this will be the better arrangement."

"Fair enough," Aerith smiled. "It's alright. You can make it up to me next time."

Cloud rolled his eyes. "Don't hold your breath."

"Cloud!" Aerith said. "So rude!"

"You're mean," Tifa agreed.

"What?" Cloud asked, everyone laughing. "You know what, forget it. Let's just go."

Again everyone laughed, but they all set off, the Chocobos running almost as fast as they had ridden their motorbikes on the way to meet Jessie's mother. It wasn't anywhere near what a motorbike could reach, but by Cody's estimation is was about forty miles per hour. Fast for a chocobo, since most were able to run about thirty or so. Choco had found excellent choices of rides.

"Good job, little guy," Cody smiled, stroking the top of Choco's head, smoothing the unruly feathers there, only for them to stand up again, looking something like Cloud's hair, when Cody actually thought about it. "I'm proud of you."

Choco trilled happily, and Cody reached forward, stroking the feathers of their ride's neck, the chocobo cooing appreciatively. After a few more minutes, they reached the marshland and Cody summoned his gunblade, Cloud drawing his own sword as Aerith pulled her staff off of the magnet harness Cody had kept from when they had been heading through Sector Seven to Shinra HQ and had given to her, and Barret readied his Gatling Gun. Cody looked around in silence, but there was no sign of the Midgar Zolom, whatever it was. After several minutes, they finally spotted the edge of the marshland. mountains ran along the edge for a ways before there was a section of more solid ground in a small area where the mountains bent around it. At the far end would be the mine.

"I think we made it!" Barret said. "And just in time. I was about to get sick from smelling all this swamp mud."

Just then, a massive hooded cobra about as big around as big around as they were tall suddenly exploded up from the swamp water before them, hissing angrily as it rose to tower over them thirty feet high. it had dark grey scales along its back, yellow along its underside, and its tail split into three ends at the last four feet or so, two of the ends hanging slightly limply as the snake held its tail up, the third end shaking and letting out a rattling sound. Cody groaned.

"You jinxed us Barret!" Cody snapped. "Again!"

"My bad," Barret said. "I'll take credit for that one."

Cody sighed, glancing down at his and Jessie's chocobo, then at the snake, which was beginning to lean back in preparation to strike. "No choice now."

He summoned one of his spare pairs of pants from his gunblade's sealing materia and held one pantleg while slinging it in front of the chocobo, who caught it in his mouth obediently. Jessie took the pantlegs of the impromptu reins instantly and Cody tapped his heels against the Chocobo's sides, holding Jessie tightly with his left arm. The Chocobo surged forward instantly, the other three scattering just as the Midgar Zolom lunged, missing by a foot and receiving a gash from Cody's gunblade on the way past. The chocobo began to turn in a wide arc, running even faster than before, actually leaning into the turn and streaking around rapidly. Jessie cheered and Cody glanced at the chocobo's eyes, seeing them watching the snake with an alertness that Cody would expect from a SOLDIER who was facing his rival. Unless that SOLDIER was Zack or Roche. Zack would have an excited, cocky look, even if he was being careful, and Roche would look psychotic.

The Chocobo streaked forward, throwing itself to its left just as the serpent lunged at him again, avoiding the bite and allowing Cody's gunblade to begin splitting the serpent's side open. It shrieked and shot backward just as Cloud and Tifa's chocobo leapt into the air past it, bearing the same look in its eyes that Cody's did. Cloud jumped off, his sword shining red as he spun, splitting the serpent across the back once, then the left side before Tifa pulled him back onto the chocobo, who had Cloud's magnet harness through its mouth as reins. As Cloud's chocobo landed at a sprint, Barret and Aerith both began to attack, Barret spraying its head and the hooded section of its body with bullets and Aerith swiping and spinning her staff, sending small blasts of shining white-blue magic at it, the blasts exploding against it and making it hiss and spit in pain. Finally, Cody's chocobo got behind the serpent and sprinted at it, Cody leaning to the side and beginning to split the serpent up the back. Barret and Aerith stopped firing just ahead of them, and the chocobo leapt off the serpent's head, Cody sitting upright again as the chocobo began to flap its wings rapidly, slowing its decent. The Serpent shrieked angrily and lunged, but Cody held his gunblade behind himself and pulled the trigger. The explosion engulfed the snake's face and open mouth, making it shriek and hiss in anger and pain, rearing back as Cody and Jessie's chocobo shot forward, holding its wings out to the sides to catch lift as they flew through the air. As they began to slow and near the ground, it flapped rapidly again before touching down lightly and taking off at a sprint again. He smiled. This chocobo was amazing, and he was hard-pressed to believe it wasn't a mercenary's trained battle partner.

Choco flew into the air suddenly, beginning to rapidly spit out balls of fire, ice spikes, and lightning bolts, peppering the serpent with the spells as it flew around and around. The snake hissed and spat angrily, lunging at him and missing just before Cloud and Cody both moved to pass the serpent, Cody's chocobo jumping and placing a foot against the serpents body, then leapt off to continue, allowing Cloud and Tifa to pass under them, Cloud slashing the snake as he passed as Jessie summoned her own sword and slashed the snake, Cody slashing it just above her wound. She sealed it away again and caught the pantlegs just before they landed and took off again, escaping the snake just before its jaws snapped closed behind them, grabbing a half-rotten stump. A second later, one of Choco's fireballs hit the trunk and exploded, the snake shrieking angrily. Then, it suddenly began to tremble, its yellow eyes glowing as the ground began to shine red below Cody and Jessie's chocobo. Cody's eyes widened and he swore, sending a blast backward and sending his chocobo streaking away from the light, which couldn't keep up. They escaped the spell just as flames exploded from the ground, starting in a massive circle about twenty feet wide before spiraling inward in about a second, exploding into a spiraling column of flames that shot ten feet into the air before fanning outward again, mirroring the flames on the ground before fading, filling the air above them with thick black smoke.

"The hell was that!?" Barret shouted over the roar of the flames, his gun, and the snake's hissing and shrieking.

"Beta!" Cody shouted back. "The fucking thing can use magic!"

"Watch out!" Aerith warned suddenly.

Cody looked up just as the snake's tail swiped down at them. The chocobo put on an extra burst of speed, narrowly escaping the tail, and it shattered the ground behind them, the chocobo leaping off of a chunk of stone before continuing to run. The flames finally died out after about ten seconds and Cody growled.

"Get me to its back," he ordered the chocobo.

It turned, streaking toward the snake as the snake lunged at Cloud's chocobo, narrowly missing. Just as Cody's chocobo got behind the serpent, Cody nodded to Choco, who trilled before flashing. Small balls of energy appeared around the snake before shooting inward, all impacting on the front of its body just below its head before exploding. The serpent shrieked in pain and rage, rocking backward from the Flare, badly burned this time, in addition to the countless other burns, stab wounds, and gashes it had suffered from their attacks. However, it still wasn't dead. It hissed and spat angrily, turning on Choco, only for Cody to leap from his chocobo onto the snake's back, then jump upward, sending a blast out of his gunblade and launching himself at the back of the snake's hooded section. He slashed upward just as his momentum died out level with his target. His blade split its back open for the second time before he pulled it back down and drove it hilt-deep into the snake's body, feeing the blade beginning to vibrate and twitch rapidly as the snake's heart beat frantically around the blade now stabbed into it. Then, Cody squeezed the trigger again, blowing a gaping hole through the snake's body, severing its body's main section completely as he launched himself backward. His chocobo slowed to a stop under him, allowing him to land on its back as the snake's body above the hole fell forward, the sections of its hood still connecting its upper and lower body tearing and separating its body.

"Hell yeah!" Barret cheered.

"We won!" Aerith cheered.

"Good work," Cloud said as the others all rode over to Cody's chocobo.

"Let's get to the mine before we meet another one of them," Cody said. "I doubt that species of serpent is restricted to only one of them."

The others all nodded in agreement and they turned, continuing toward the mine, all four chocobos moving slower now to conserve what energy they could. After a few minutes, they reached the edge of the marsh, only to slow their chocobos to a stop, staring at a second Midgar Zolom, except that this one was impaled on a broken tree through the heart, dried blood running from the wound down both the tree and the serpent's body, and no other wound anywhere in its body. Cody gaped at it. There was definitely only a single person who could have killed that snake so easily. And yet, considering the trouble they'd all had fighting one together to see that Sephiroth could kill one alone so easily was beyond frightening.

"Was this...Sephiroth?" Cloud asked as they all stared at the serpent.

"I don't know anyone else with the kind of power required to kill something like that as easily as this," Cody said.

"Easy?" Barret scoffed. "How the hell do you know it was easy for him?"

"Look at the snake," Cody said, gesturing to it. "What do you see?"

"A big ass snake," Barret said.

"The only wound on its body is the one the tree made," Cloud said. "Which means that whoever killed this think did it in one strike without even needing to use their weapon. You're right. I don't know anyone besides Sephiroth that can do something like that."

"He must be a monster," Jessie said.

"No," Cody said. "This is a monster. Sephiroth is so much worse than a monster."

Cloud nodded in agreement and they all spurred their chocobos onward, passing the snake's corpse.

"At least now we know why that other one was in the way," Aerith said. "It was probably inspecting its dead friend."

"Probably," Cody agreed.

"Though, I doubt that they were friends," Cloud added.

Aerith shrugged as they reached the mine. They all dropped off the chocobos and three of them took off, however, Cody's nuzzled him in the chest, warbling softly.

"I think he wants to come with us," Jessie smiled.

"Is that right?" Cody asked, the chocobo crying and flapping its wings. Cody chuckled and nodded. "Alright, sure. But first we'll need to give you a name. How about Drumstick?"

Everyone else groaned, rolling their eyes, and the chocobo stared at him for a moment before pecking him in the forehead.

"Yeah!" Jessie laughed. "You tell him! That's what you get!"

"That's fair," Cody said. "Alright, Jessie. You name him."

"Boco," Jessie said, the chocobo letting out a happy "Wark!" and wrapping his neck over one of her shoulders like a hug.

"Fine," Cody sighed. "But the next chocobo we get is going to be named Drumstick."

Choco flew over and pecked him in the forehead before messing up his hair. Then, he trilled happily, and flew to Jessie, rubbing himself against her cheek for a moment before doing the same to Tifa, then Aerith. Then, the same spherical seal that he appeared in when summoned appeared before fading, taking him with it.

"Aw," Jessie said. "How long until we can summon him again? I like having him around."

"About twenty four hours," Cody said. "It tires him out to be summoned several times a day."

"Alright," Jessie smiled. "So, shall we?"

The others all nodded and headed into the cave, Boco following after them.
