Summary: Bickslow didn't know he had become such an integral part of Wendy's life until she needed him most.

Wendy couldn't stop crying. Her tears weren't just for her breakup from six weeks ago, but the breakup sex that had resulted in this. She and Sting hadn't wanted to break up but he wouldn't join Fairy Tail (couldn't if the Magic Council had their way) and Wendy wouldn't leave Fairy Tail even if it brought Grandeeney back. It had been six weeks since Wendy had interacted with another human, not for lack of them trying. Carla took pity on the girl and would go out to bring back groceries or take away so Wendy didn't starve but she was at her wits end.

Wendy cast the spell for the 156th time. Her abdomen glowed purple and she started crying again.

"Child, please, tell me what's wrong so I can help you," Carla pleaded with Wendy but Wendy slammed the door to her bedroom shut and wouldn't let Carla in. The agony Carla was feeling in not being able to help the girl she viewed as a daughter/sister almost had Carla start crying. She had no idea what the spell was but knew it must have told Wendy something awful. Deciding to do the only thing she could do, Carla made herself a cup of tea. As the leaves swirled in the hot water, Carla fell into a trance.

"Wendy? Open up it's Bickslow!" The pounding on the door increased as a curious looking Wendy wandered to the door. Had Lucy tried to get Bickslow to talk to her? She had almost opened up to Lucy before realizing Lucy wouldn't understand her feelings.

"No. Whatever you have to say, you can say it on the other side of the door," Wendy yelled back. Why were people trying to get her to talk! Couldn't they just leave her alone?

"Well I could but the 5 pounds of chocolate I brought with me might melt." Bickslow's sing-songy voice irked Wendy but she was craving chocolate fiercely and Carla had stopped buying it from the store. Carla claimed ice cream was the cure for a breakup but Wendy was so put off by the concept of frozen sugary milk she had thrown up. That had been the end of sweets in the apartment.

"Fine, but only you and chocolate!"

The vision ended and Carla shook her head. Sipping her tea, Carla wondered if what Wendy needed wasn't a sister, but a big brother. Making her decision. Carla abandoned the tea dregs and flew off to Bickslow and Lucy's house. The mess of pink that awaited the Exceed was disturbing to her senses but Bickslow and Lucy were over the moon with their daughters so Carla wouldn't comment on how tacky and cliche it was to dress them in matching pink dresses.

"Eh-hem," Carla cleared her throat to bring Lucy and Bickslow's attentions to her. This had the domino effect of causing the two little girls, a baby and a toddler, to try to grab her tail. Carla gave them a dirty look and flew higher. Why couldn't human children be born with advanced brain functions like Exceeds, Carla thought to herself snootily. Lucy held in her amusement and Bickslow was about to snap at the white cat when Carla told them everything.

She told them about Sting and Wendy's break up, Wendy using a weird spell on herself, her own vision and how lost she was in dealing with Wendy. Lucy suspected what the spell was but didn't speak and let Carla explain what she wanted from them. When Carla told them she wanted Bickslow to go buy 5 pounds of chocolate to bring to Wendy, Lucy was not convinced it would work.

The next day, Lucy ate her words (and did much more than that with Bickslow in Mira's precious store room) when she saw Bickslow and Wendy in the guildhall with Porlyusica. After Porlyusica left, Wendy dragged Lucy, Levy, Erza, Cana and Mira off. Everyone pestered Bickslow what that was about but he wouldn't say. Wendy saw him like an older brother and he would be damned if his baby sister was gossiped about. As for the girls, they were comforting and full of tips on what to expect and how to handle it and filled with righteous anger about what Sting had done. That's when Lucy got an idea.

"Oh my god, I completely forgot! Bickslow and I were supposed to go on a trip to visit my parents' graves and tell them about Bianca!" Lucy privately congratulated herself on telling such a convincing lie. The others knew she and Bickslow had gone to her parents' graves after Aurora's birth but they had been so busy dealing with the two that they hadn't left Magnolia since Bianca was born.

"Oh Lucy, you and Bickslow should go! I can try to watch them. I should get the practice in. Afterall, I'll have two and be on my own soon enough," Wendy tried to sound cheerful and optimistic but Lucy knew she was faking it in the hopes of manifesting it. Mira offered to help Wendy with the girls and Lucy informed Bickslow they were going to Acalypha. In actuality, Lucy and Bickslow caught the train to the town with Sabertooth. Bickslow beat Sting to a pulp and Lucy informed him he was going to be a father.

Lucy and Bickslow got to visit her parents' graves and tell them all about Bianca while Sting was busy groveling at Wendy's feet and trying to get her to marry him. Wendy aquiessed as soon as Bickslow and Lucy returned home. The wedding was rushed but Wendy made the most beautiful bride, with Bickslow giving her away. After that, things went back to normal. Yukino stepped in as temporary Guild Master while Sting took a year's paternity leave to help Wendy with her pregnancy and the first few months with the babies. Lucy and Bickslow discovered that the storage room incident had resulted in Baby #3 and Wendy scolded them for having three babies in as many years.

Two months after Silas and Wren Eucliffe were born, Castor Heartfilia made his way screaming and wailing into the world.
