"Are you certain this is the place?" Mother Miranda had stopped the camper on a road high along one of Romania's many mountains, looking down into a valley nestled between it and its' neighbours.
"According to the Lycans, this is where her trail stopped before they turned back to inform us." Karl stated, studying the factory that looked like it could be twin to his own. Donna clung to Angie on her arm, looking down on the dilapidated buildings down below.
"I see a Lycan." One of Alcina's daughters pointed into the distance, beyond the Dollmaker's sight.
"Swarm." Mother Miranda ordered the three softly. "Look the place over while we get closer. Nothing else, even if you spot your mother. Wait until we get down there too."
"Yes, Mother Miranda." Seven people became four as three evaporated into bug-swarms, diving into the forest between the road and factory.
"Need help?" Karl bend apart the guardrail, holding out his hand to her.
"Yes." She lowered Angie, figuring she'd need both hands to make her way through a forest at night safely. Perhaps she should have looked for some pants before they headed out. At least she was not alone in struggling, as Salvatore also struggled with the forest floor. Their mother floated along beside him, while Angie had already disappeared up ahead. She hoped the doll would also not act until they were all down there.
A few times he lifted her down sharp inclines, holding her like she weighed nothing before he put her down somewhere safe.
"We peeked into a window and while the outside is all factory, they really changed up the inside." Cassandra reported when the triplets rejoined them a bit behind the treeline and the chainlink fence.
"I was afraid of that." Mother Miranda considered the complex. "Alright, here's what we will do... you three, stay outside. Kill anyone trying to escape. Do so quickly, no one is to leave alive." She looked at the three women in front of her.
"But..."
"Alcina will never forgive me if I drag you into danger. Yes, you can turn into bugs, but who knows what kind of weapons they have if they captured her just like that." She reached for the one up front. "Stay safe, my dears. Trust in us to find her." She pressed a gentle kiss to their foreheads. "Make them fear for their lives out here. Devour them alive, if need be."
"Yes, Mother Miranda." Their answer was far more hesitant, but they did obey, dispersing into the gloom.
"I guess we're busting down a door and getting Alcina?" Karl softly wondered, hoisting his hammer onto one shoulder.
"More or less, yes." The priestess turned to her remaining three children and Donna saw her eyes narrow. "Where is Angie?"
"In the vents of this place, looking for Alcina."

His typing was interrupted by the base alarm going off. Someone was attacking!
He slammed the laptop he had been taking his notes on closed, eyes widening when the bright-red alarm-lights started flashing all around him.
Had the BSAA found this place!? Tucking the laptop under his arm, he fled from the room. He was far too close to the outside of the buildings! Perhaps he could hide out in one of the labratories... Surely they would spare a lowly scientist hiding under the table somewhere?
A pity, certainly, that the Subject would most assuredly be killed. It was too obviously infected at this point. Beyond the changes wrought by the initial infection - oh, how he would more the lack of chance to find out exactly what that one had been - there were the changes of the Apodean Nymph that had been implanted.
He came to a sudden stop when realizing of the blunder he was making. A lowly scientist would not have a laptop full of notes of the biggest research of the place. Biting his lip, he realized that he better ditch the laptop before they found him.
Yanking open the door to the stairwell, he started descending two steps at a time. He would leave the laptop with the Subject. Let them think it was just a random note-taking laptop, while he went and played the unfortunate, captured scientist in some other lab far away from the Subject's.
His footsteps echoed, bouncing back from the metal walls as he pulled out the keycard that allowed access to the Subject. He nearly bend it in his hurry to open the door, dashing inside towards the table and slamming down the laptop.
Briefly allowing the grief at losing such an interesting specimen, he looked up at the shape at the far wall. To think that they finally managed to find a working incubator for the Nymphs, only to lose it so soon.
"What... did you do to big sister?" The voice sounded like it came from a speaker of some kind, almost raspy and unused. Wheeling around, he found that someone had already reached this far down in the complex, having left a doll in the door-opening. "What did you do to her?"
Was... was the sound coming from the doll!? Had someone gone to the trouble of placing a speaker in the doll and then leaving it down here!?
"What did you do to her!?" At the high-pitched screech, he realized that it was not nearly that simple, because the doll launched itself at him, murder in its' empty eyes.
He screamed himself, staggering backward.
