It was not just a window... of course it would not be just a window. Dramatic irony had to be the most-represented substance in the entire bloody universe!
She did not know how they had managed to get past the defenses that had been erected across the entire valley, nor the giant battle still raging in the distance. All she knew was that they had somehow arrived at her castle despite all that.
"Oh..." She had never considered how it would feel for Donna if one of her dolls got destroyed, but she now learned that it was not good at all. The Dollmaker was trembling, gaze a thousand miles away. Once in a while she would moan or whimper, staggering where she stood.
Alcina swallowed, mouth dry like parchment-paper. Her heart was hammering as she tried to open her window to look outside, down into the small courtyard underneath her rooms. It took her disturbingly long and she felt the organ stop completely when seeing people down there. How had they gotten here!? But no, that did not matter now.
"Angie!" An outcry behind her had her whip around. Her sister fell, collapsing on the ground. Had the intruders reached as far as her main doll already!?
"Up there!" At the same time, below her someone screamed loud enough to be heard over the cacophony of nature. The price of being nearly 3 metres and dressed in white...
Steeling herself, she rushed over to the collapsed woman, lifting her up in one arm. Much like how someone would carry a small child on their hip, she held her trembling sibling. "Shhh..." Donna's arms were vices around her neck, clinging to her. "Where was Angie, Donna? Where is she?"
"Stairs... stairs towards the main hall..." Lady Beneviento trembled. "She's... playing dead."
"The other way then." They would hopefully not completely wreck the doll, if they thought it was over and done with. "Can you walk?"
"No..." The voice against her ear was small and weak. How bad was the backlash from Angie's hurt exactly!? "Am sorry..."
"You tried, soră mai mică." Ducking through the door, she started marching through her castle. She would have to hope they'd find a new spot to hide before those people found them. She hoped that their defenders had not been overrun completely and were hunting these. Donna was being rapidly incapitated, muffling cries of unknown names into her shoulder as more and more of her dolls fell trying to slow down their enemies. As for herself... she couldn't, simply couldn't face them, even had she been at full strength.
Ducking through another door-opening, she hiked up her dress with her free hand as she took the stairs four steps at a time. Perhaps it would not be the best place to be for anyone else, but her towers would allow her transform and flee if it came down to it... She would have to hope she'd manage to change her form long enough to at least get to solid ground elsewhere and wasn't still too weak for it.
Flinching at the sound of shattered wood and collapsing stone, Alcina realized that they were rampaging through her home with no care for even the walls. "Mother..." Tears started forming in her eye-corners as the sound became louder. They were closing in!

It wasn't the battlefield of his reservoir, but he could work somewhat with the rain. At least it would keep him from drying out too much. He had turned into his larger form quickly, needing its' resistance against bullets when it became clear that practically every enemy had guns of some kind.
Some of their enemies he crushed outright under his massive bulk, but most fell to a spray of acid. Still, he was concerned about some of them, who seemed almost not to notice when the caustic liquid burned their skin and liquified their flesh.
At least they still fell with too much damage, but it was concerning how much damage it took. The humans started screaming whenever they were hit, falling to the ground and slapping their flesh as if they were on fire, but these others? Some only collapsed when his bile had eaten even through their bones!
Groaning, he staggered back when something power exploded against his side. The ground shook when he fell, desperately struggling to keep his vulnerable part closed off.
"No!" A series of rapid explosions bloomed between him and his attackers as he staggered up ans away. Mother had moved across the battlefield to cover him... She was here...
He had never seen her like this before, utterly frantic and panicked. His large form scrambled for purchase, not being made for combat on solid ground. Below him, it seemed as if the ground pushed up, helping him find his footing.
Risking a brief glance down, he noticed the ground settling below again. A brief smile formed on his normal face at the realization that someone had indeed helped him get up.
Beside him, the amber form of his elder sister danced still, claws lengthening beyond even what the Dimitrescu Matriarch could manage.
"Salvatore!" Mother Miranda could not afford to look at him, having to keep her attention on the forces opposing them.
"I am fine." He called. "No damage!" Now that was a lie, but adding to her worry now would just end poorly for them. Mother was the strongest of them all, in the end and the most likely to finish this.
He hissed, suppressing the urge to find a large gathering of water to dive into, the feeling of rain stinging on his wounded shoulder. That would have to wait until they were done here.
