Ginny's POV
I woke up with my mother frantically yelling. I roll over and see my wall clock read 9:30. Oh my gosh we are so late. The train leaves at 11:00am and we live an hour away from Kings cross station. Thankfully I just need to get dressed but I can't say the same for my brothers. Once we are all ready its nearly 10:00am and we are pulling out of our driveway. Thankfully with some magic and luck on our side we arrive at Kings Cross Station at 10:48. We are rushing inside with our trollies practically running over muggles. It was not supper busy so we all rush through the platform entrance. I barley have time to say goodbye to mum and dad when Ron and the twins are placing me on the train. I find and open window and wave goodbye to my parents awaiting my adventure.
Once the train had been moving for a few minutes I start walking around the train looking for a compartment. I did not want to sit with my brothers because I wanted to make so friends of my own. As I'm exploring someone bumps into me.
"We must stop meeting lime this little red." I here in a similar voice
I look up to see Draco smirking at me
"Draco, good to see you again." Merlin, he looks so cute in his green and silver robes
"You looking for a place to sit?" he asked.
"I'm just wandering around." I say looking around the train
"Well how about wondering with my friends." He says as he extends his hand for me to take. I'm hesitant
"What, don't you trust me little red." I smile and take his hand.
He leads be to the back of the train where we are at a door with the snake emblem on it and I freeze.
"What's wrong?" he asks
"its just, I'm a Weasley, aka the most Gryffindor family in all of Hogwarts history, aka Slytherins sworn enemy, ill get murdered if I go in there." I say fearful
"As long as you stick with me, no one will touch you." He says giving me a genuine smile. Again, I decide to trust Draco, I can't explain why I trust him and he trusts me, but we do. We walk in and all eyes are on me and all conversations stop. Draco takes my hand and we walk to the back of the compartment.
"Hi mates, this is Ginny, Ginny this is Blaise, Theo, Pansy, Crabbe, and Goyle." He says pointing to everyone. I smile and nod and sit next to Pansy and Draco sits next to me.
"Finally, a girl, hey your weaslebees sister right." She says.
"Yes, I am, am I really that obvious." I ask
"Well, your flaming hair give your entire family away, plus your robes as well." Theo says
"Yes, well when you have seven children then come talk to my mother about finance."
"Holy shit seven kids, how did your poor mother do it?" Blaise exclaims.
"Well with father around and a cozy bed at home, she got used to it, I'm guessing after Percy was born." I say.
"wait at home?!" Blaise says.
"Well yes, my mother believe that women stay home and tend to the many children we will have while the men work. With my father's job at the ministry, my eldest brother Bill is currently in Egypt as an ancient curse breaker for tombs and Charlie works with dragons in Romania. Percy is probably going to get a ministry job, but the twins, Ron and I aren't sure yet." I say and they all look at me like I'm crazy.
"Wow that's some family." Pansy says. They all start talking about their lives and give me advice about Hogwarts and classes. We talk for the entire train ride.
"Oh crap, ginny you need to get changed.' Pansy says panicked
"Oh that's ok" I flick my wrist and I'm surrender my green smoke and I'm changed. This causes everyone to stare at me with wide eyes.
"Don't ask, I'll explain after the grand feast." I say and all they can do is nod.
I meat up with the rest of the first years and Professor McGonagall does her first-year speech. We all walk in and I pass all my siblings at the Gryffendor table and I smile and wave at them. McGonagall calls a few names before me; all the houses have been called so far. She says my name and I walk up expecting this to take three seconds, but I was wrong. I sit on the stool and it begins
"AH another Weasley, oh-oh wait, you are very different than your siblings. I see great potential in you young witch with powers unlike any other, you will face many trails and obstacles so you will need the right guides and tools to help you unleash your full potential, ah I know where you will be at your best….. SLYTHERIN." The hat claims
I freeze and so does everyone in the entire great hall, even Dumbledore himself is speechless. I slowly get up and look at my brothers, Ron looks angry, Percy looks at me with shame, the twins smile at me and mouth to meet them later. I slowly walk to the table and make eye contact with Draco who smiles at me and pats next to him. Once I'm seated pansy hugs me and Blaise, Theo, Crabbe and Goyle all high five me. Oh Merlin, what a first day.
