Aurasoul: Hello ladies and gentlemen! Today I shall bring up chapter 2 which means Yami's duel against Fire!
Fire: Though it won't be much of a duel with us still in Duelist Kingdom rules.
Aurasoul: Sadly I know this so I hope you call can bare with me here. I dont own Yugioh both the show and the card game only my OCs and OC cards so I hope you all enjoy enjoy the first chapter of the story!
Chapter 2
I can't believe we're doing this. Karen groaned, as Fire stepped up.
Oh come on this is our chance to finally duel against the king, you can't honestly tell me you're not a little excited. Fire thought to her with a grin.
Karen was silent making Fire snicker as she pouted. This is not funny! Karen yelled.
Fire only smiled as she watched Yami set down his deck. The Spirit of the Millennium Puzzle, the same Item that was with my Bracelet. Could he be the one I have been searching for? She thought.
Are you sure about this Mou Hitori No Boku? Yugi asked worriedly.
It's obvious both Karen and this Fire don't seem to have any hostility towards each other like Bakura and the spirit of the Millennium Ring not only that but even Karen's father and Rebecca know of the Spirit which means she does not come off as dangerous. Yami thought, looking at Fire who gave a grin and a wave. So it can be safe to assume this is safe.
"All set here, ready when you are." Fire called.
"Same here." Yami nodded. "Let's begin."
"DUEL!"
"I'll go first, draw!" Fire voiced. (Fire's hand: 6 cards Yami's hand: 5 cards. Yami's LP: 2000. Fire's hand: 6 cards. Fire's LP: 2000.)
"I Summon Fire Lotus Celtic Maiden." Fire said. And to appear on her field was a brown haired green eyed woman with cream skin, wearing an off shoulder fire red dress the top part rose pink with a lotus pattern, opera white gloves, a red gem gold circlet, and efish ears. (Fire Lotus Celtic Maiden, Attribute: LIGHT, Level: 4, Type: Spellcaster/Effect, ATK/DEF: 1300/1400. Fire's hand: 5 cards Yami's hand: 5 cards. Yami's LP: 2000. Fire's hand: 6 cards. Fire's LP: 2000.)
"Celtic Maiden's effect. When she's Summoned, I can add a Spell card from my Deck or GY to my hand." Fire said, looking through her Deck before getting out a card. "I add Celestial Lotus Bow. I then place a card face-down and end my turn." (Fire's hand: 5 cards. Yami's hand: 5 cards. Yami's LP: 2000. Fire's LP: 2000.)
"My move. Draw!" Yami declared. (Fire's hand: 5 cards Yami's hand: 6 cards. Yami's LP: 2000. Fire's LP: 2000.) Yami looked at Fire's set card, then her monster.
"I'm not sure what you're planning, but I'll Summon this. Celtic Guardian." Yami spoke. An elf clad in armor appeared. (Celtic Guardian, Level 4 EARTH Warrior-type monster, ATK/DEF: 1400/1200. Fire's hand: 5 cards. Yami's hand: 5 cards. Yami's LP: 2000. Fire's LP: 2000.)
"Nice! Yugi can take down her monster easily with Celtic Guardian." Jonouchi grinned.
"Celtic Guardian, attack her Fire Lotus Celtic Maiden!" Yami declared. Celtic Maiden cried out after being slashed by Celtic Guardian. (Fire's LP: 2000 - 100 = 1900. Fire's hand: 5 cards. Yami's hand: 5 cards. Yami's LP: 2000. Fire's LP: 1900.)
"Heh figured you would go for the attack." Fire smiled. "Trap activate! Fire Petal Storm! When a Fire Lotus monster is destroyed you take 200 points of damage times the destroyed monster's Level!"
"So that means I take 800 damage." Yami frowned. (Yami's LP: 2000 - 800 = 1200. Fire's hand: 5 cards. Yami's hand: 5 cards. Yami's LP: 1200. Fire's LP: 1900.) Yami grabbed 1 card from his hand and set it. "I end my turn with a face-down." (Fire's hand: 5 cards. Yami's hand: 4 cards. Yami's LP: 1200. Fire's LP: 1900.)
"My turn draw!" Fire yelled. (Fire's hand: 6 cards. Yami's hand: 4 cards. Yami's LP: 1200. Fire's LP: 1900.)
"I activate the Spell card, Monster Reborn to bring back my Celtic Maiden." Fire said, as her Maiden reappeared on the field. "Next I activate the Equip Spell, Celestial Lotus Bow and equip it to Celtic Maiden." A lotus petaled bow appeared in her Maiden's hand.
"It can only be equipped by a LIGHT attribute monster and the monster gains 400 ATK." Fire continued. (Fire Lotus Celtic Maiden, ATK: 1300 - 1700.)
"Go Celtic Maiden, attack Celtic Guardian!" Fire yelled, as Celtic Maiden formed an arrow and aimed with her bow before firing it. It pierced Celtic Guardian's armor before he shattered. (Yami's LP: 1200 - 300 = 900. Fire's hand: 4 cards. Yami's hand: 4 cards. Yami's LP: 900. Fire's LP: 1900.)
"The second effect of the equip spell. When the equipped monster deals damage I draw a card." Fire said, drawing her card. "I place a card face-down and end my turn." (Fire's hand: 4 cards. Yami's hand: 4 cards. Yami's LP: 900. Fire's LP: 1900.)
"Come on Duelist King. You can do better than this." Fire grinned.
"Of course I can." Yami smirked. "Draw!" (Fire's hand: 4 cards. Yami's hand: 5 cards. Yami's LP: 900. Fire's LP: 1900.)
"My, my. I never expected she would be this good." Sugoroku remarked with an impressed smile.
"Of course! You're looking at the one who can pass as Duelist Queen." Rebecca smiled proudly. "She's won her fair share of tournaments and her skills are well known."
"Enough Rebecca. You're gonna make Karen blush." Fire smirked, amused.
"She's that good?!" Jounochi gaped.
"To be called Duelist Queen." Anzu gaped, stunned.
"The opponents exaggerate." Fire chuckled.
"I'll be the judge of that." Yami remarked. "Now I Summon Dark Magician!" The mighty spellcaster appeared onto the field standing proudly. (Dark Magician, Attribute: DARK, Level: 7, Type: Spellcaster/Normal, ATK/DEF: 2500/2100. Fire's hand: 4 cards. Yami's hand: 4 cards. Yami's LP: 900. Fire's LP: 1900.)
"And there it is your ace monster, the famous Dark Magician." Fire grinned.
"That's right." Yami nodded. Fire grinned as Yami watched her.
True to her word nothing is of the ordinary not even our Millennium Items are reacting and by the looks of her face… She seems to be having fun. He thought.
"Well then?" Fire spoke. "Will you attack or not?"
"Of course I'm going to attack." Yami retorted as he grabbed a card from his hand. "But before I do, I activate the Equip Spell, Magic Formula. This increases Dark Magician's ATK by 500."
"Which means your Magician's ATK will become 3000." Fire remarked.
"That's right." Yami nodded before he thrusted his right hand forward. "Now Dark Magician, attack! Dark Magic Attack!" Dark Magician cried out as she was struck by the magic attack before being destroyed. (Fire's LP: 1900 - 1300 = 600. Fire's hand: 4 cards. Yami's hand: 3 cards. Yami's LP: 900. Fire's LP: 600.)
"I end my turn." Yami concluded.
"Nice move Yugi!" Honda grinned.
"No way she can get a monster to beat Dark Magician now!" Jonouchi added.
"My turn, draw!" Fire yelled. (Fire's hand: 5 cards. Yami's hand: 3 cards. Yami's LP: 900. Fire's LP: 600.)
"Now that was an excellent move on your part Yami. Glad to see you're meeting my expectations." Fire grinned.
"Then let's see what you can do." Yami retorted.
"Of course. Since you showed your ace monster." Fire smiled, holding up a card. "It only seems fitting I do the same. For this monster shall bloom and burn this field to ashes. I Summon Fire Lotus Blazing Phoenix!" And to appear in a burning screech was a vermillion phoenix, its wings cloaked in gold flames, long tail feathers that end in black-blue, gold beak, and piercing green eyes. (Fire Lotus Blazing Phoenix, Attribute: FIRE, Level: 8, Type: Winged-Beast/Effect, ATK/DEF: 2600/2800. Fire's hand: 4 cards. Yami's hand: 3 cards. Yami's LP: 900. Fire's LP: 600.)
"There it is! Her ace monster, Blazing Phoenix!" Rebecca cheered.
"Next I activate my face-down, Call of the Haunted to once again bring back Celtic Maiden." Fire continued, as her maiden reappeared onto the field. "Now Phoenix attack Dark Magician!"
"Eh?! She's attacking when her monster has lower ATK?!" Jonouchi gaped.
"Phoenix's effect! When she battles, she gains an additional 300 ATK for every Fire Lotus monster on the field! I have a total of 2, so she gains 600 ATK!" Fire yelled, Phoenix burning in flames as her attack power rose. (Fire Lotus Blazing Phoenix ATK: 2600 - 3200)
"With 3200 ATK, it's powerful enough to destroy Dark Magician." Sugoroku remarked stunned.
"Calling upon power with its fellow members." Arthur remarked.
"You triggered my trap!" Yami revealed. "Go Destruction Ring!" The set card flipped up to reveal a ring with small bombs on it that attached to Dark Magician. "Normally I wouldn't do this, but considering I don't have that many strong monsters that could handle your Phoenix, this'll have to do. By Tributing Dark Magician, we both take 1000 damage!"
"What?!" Fire gasped.
"But wait then that means!" Jonouchi gaped.
"This duel becomes a tie." Iemitsu replied. The bombs on the ring then exploded, destroying both Dark Magician and Phoenix in an explosion as both Fire and Yami shielded their eyes from the explosion. Fire's LP: 600 -1000 = 0. Yami's LP: 900 - 1000 = 0.)
"It's a tie." Anzu spoke stunned.
"That's a first." Honda blinked shocked.
He caused a tie. Karen remarked.
It was the best option he had if he didn't have anything to destroy Phoenix yet he managed to take down his opponent with him as well. Fire thought, before smiling. He had made the right call. He might just be the one I've been looking for.
Are you alright Mou Hitori No Boku? Yugi asked worriedly.
Yes I'm alright Aibou. Yami assured, looking across to Fire gave a light smile before going down. The 2 walked to meet the other Fire putting her hand out to Yami.
"I thank you for the duel Yami. It was exactly what I hoped for." She smiled before she smirked. "But next time I plan to win."
"We'll see about that." Yami smirked back, shaking her hand.
"Now that's what I like to hear." Fire grinned. "Though I think it's time we let our lighter sides return."
"Fine by me." Yami nodded.
Their Millennium Items glowed before Yugi and Karen returned and Karen bowed. "Thank you for the duel and thank you for putting up with Fire's request." She thanked politely.
"You're welcome." Yugi smiled.
"Man that was some duel!" The others ran over to the 2, Jonouchi looking at Karen as she flushed shyly. "I can't believe you actually got Yugi on the ropes too." He added.
"W-Well I…" Karen stuttered.
"Oi! Back off you brute!" Rebecca scowled, shielding Karen. "Don't you know how to properly talk to a lady!"
"What?!" Jonouchi gaped.
"Rebecca." Karen spoke with a strained smile.
"Back off a little Jonouchi, you're obviously making her nervous." Anzu frowned.
Jonouchi slumped in defeat as Anzu stepped forward. "It's nice to meet you Karen, my name is Anzu Mazaki." She smiled.
"Pleasure." Karen smiled shyly.
"I'm Hiroto Honda and you already know Jonouchi here." Honda said, jerking his thumb at Jonouchi.
"Karen if it's alright with you. May I see your Deck?" Sugoroku asked.
"Oh sure." Karen nodded, holding out her Deck. Sugoroku took the Deck to look through the cards with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"Is something wrong Grandpa?" Yugi asked.
"Karen, where did you get this Deck? I have never seen these cards before." Sugoroku spoke in wonder, holding the Deck out. Karen took back the Deck holding it close.
"It was given to me." She replied.
"Given to you?" Sugoroku spoke surprised.
"Yes. By Pegasus-san." Karen nodded.
"Ehhh?! Pegasus?!" Yugi gaped.
"It seems you all have a lot to talk about." Iemitsu hummed, motioning to Arthur and Sugoroku. "Why don't we adults leave you kids to talk."
"Dad." Karen frowned.
"You wanted to talk to Yugi-san for a while Karen and I'm sure he has questions for you too. Have fun." Iemitsu smiled, looking at his senior archaeologists. "And why not we get something to eat."
"That sounds very good. Hospital food is very bland." Sugoroku chuckled.
"Sounds like a plan then." Arthur smiled. The 3 walked off as the others looked at Karen surprised as she sighed.
"Guess there's no point." She mumbled.
