"Come on!" Keith yelled as he tried to wedge the barnacle off of the rock pillars. Crying out as he was propelled backward onto the ground. Huffing his bangs out of his eyes, Keith let out a sigh and tossed the barnacle into the basket on the ground beside him. "One."

Meanwhile, a ways away, a merman glanced around to make sure no one was around before bursting into song. He had tanned skin, short brown hair, and brown eyes. His tail was orange with light yellow fins.

"Live, from the Catfish Club, it's Hunk!" the mermaid announced, before playing around with the coral tubes. Hunk continued to beatbox as he swam around, obviously not noticing Keith struggling to pull off another barnacle.

As Hunk played with the coral tubes once more, Keith froze upon hearing the noise. However, after not heating it again he continued trying to yank the barnacle off the rock. However, he froze once more as Hunk swam by, still oblivious to the young prince, and continued placing with the coral tubes.

"Hey," Keith said making Hunk jump and cry out in surprise. "Was that, what I think it was?"

"Uh, nope, defiantly not," Hunk said pulling his hands off the coral tubes, only to jump as the sound escaped the tubes. "Oops."

"That," Keith said pointing to the tubes.

"What?" Hunk asked.

"He's talking about the sound genius," a small dolphin said as she swam up behind Keith. Keith watched as the dolphin changed in the blink of an eye to a mermaid. She had shoulder-length light brown hair and brown eyes hidden behind a pair of glasses. Her tail was with dark teal tail with green fins, she wore a matching teal top. It was obvious to Keith she was a shifter but chose not to comment on it.

"Oh that sound," Hunk said looking anywhere but the two with him. "I was just cleaning out the coral tubes and then you scared me and then they-"

"Can you, do it again?" Keith asked softly. Yes, music was banned in Altea, but they were far enough from the castle that no one would hear them.

"HALT!" two swordfishes yelled as they appeared behind Hunk. Hunk cried out and turned around, bumping into Keith and Hunk.

"You're in violation of King Shiro."

"Everyone knows that all music is forbidden in the kingdom."

"This is not good," Hunk said shifting into his fish form, an orange fish with yellow fins.

"Way to go Hunk," the mermaid said with a roll of her eyes, changing into her dolphin form.

"Swim for it!" Hunk yelled grabbing onto Keith's wrist and dragging the Prince away, the dolphin swimming after them.

"Get back here!" one swordfish yelled, the pair dashing after the trio.

"This way!" the dolphin yelled leading the pair behind her to the coral forest.

"Corkscrew!" Hunk yelled, twisting and turning throughout the coral branches. Keith followed his path, just as the swordfish burst through the coral branches.

"Now where?" Keith yelled as he could see the guards getting closer. His father was really going to kill him this time.

"Torpedo Tube!" Hunk yelled diving down into the drop-off. The speed of going down really fast propelled Hunk right into the exit hole, however, he got stuck. Pidge had exited first and was trying to find a way to get Hunk out. Keith was trying to push Hunk out of the hole when he heard the guards.

"There they are!" one of the guards yell. Keith backed up and took one look at his tail and then back at Hunk before pushing his tail into the back of Hunk.

"Fish Launch!" Keith yelled, pushing Hunk out of the hole before heading out of the larger hold above.

"Nice one," the dolphin commented before the trio took off again.

"Thanks."

"That's it, we're going to jail," Hunk said before turning to the pair beside him. "Well, if we do going to be slammer buddies, my name is Hunk and that's Pidge."

"I'm Keith," Keith said with a smile. However, that smile was short-lived when he saw Slav. The prince tried to stop but Pidge and Hunk ended up bumping into him and the trio collapsed on the ground in front of the king's advisor.

"Prince Keith," Slav said eyeing the Prince. "What is the meaning of this?"

"Prince?" Pidge and Hunk asked, shifting back into their mermaid/merman forms.

"Uh yeah," Keith said with a shrug of his shoulder as he got off the ground. "Slav, um, we weren't doing anything."

"Very convincing," Pidge said with a roll of her eyes.

"Shhhhh," Keith said giving the mermaid a soft glare.

"Doing nothing huh?" Slav asked, just as the swordfish swam up on either side of the trio. "Then why are those two here?"

"Cause they were chasing us…" Hunk said trailing off.

"Pidge!" a voice called out from behind Slav. A merman a little older than Keith's sister Ezor swam up. He was almost identical to Pidge, except his tail was dark olive green with light olive fins. "There you are."

"This is your sister Matthew?" Slav asked to which the mermaid nodded.

"I've been looking everywhere for you, where have you been?"

"Oh relax Matt, I was just….out."

"We caught them playing music Sir," one of the guards said.

"MUSIC!? THE PRINCE WAS MAKING MUSIC!?"

"His Highness wasn't playing music," the other guard said.

"These two were."

"I mean technically I wasn't playing music, he was," Pidge said pointing to Hunk.

"Hey!" Hunk said turning to Pidge with a hurt look on his face.

"Pidge," Matt said giving his sister a soft glare. "Stop."

"Music is forbidden, take those two to the dungeon!" Slav announced making Hunk, Pidge, Matt, and Keith freeze.

"No! I won't be able to survive in the slammer!" Hunk cried out hiding behind Keith. Matt opened his mouth to say something but was stopped when Keith spoke up instead.

"Wait!" Keith yelled making the guards and Slav turn their attention to the Prince. "Slav, this is a misunderstanding."

"Hold off," Slav said making the guards back up.

"You'll laugh when I tell you why," Keith said. "Which I'm about to do."

"Clock is ticking Your Highness," Slav said with a soft sigh of annoyance. He really was getting too old for this.

"Right, uh," Keith said with a nod of his head. "My father tasked me with cleaning the coral tubes, and my new friends here were helping me."

"That's right!" Hunk said catching onto the plan. "Best friends, making it happen."

"But not making music," Keith said with a shake of his head. "You know how the coral tubes are."

"Is that what happened Pidge?" Matt asked eyeing his sister, begging her with his eyes to play along.

"Yep, we seen him cleaning the coral tubes and decided to help with getting the job done faster," Pidge said with a nod. "After all, jobs get done faster when everyone works together."

"Guards," Slav said giving the prince a look. "Escort Prince Keith back to the palace."

"But Slav-"

"And you two," Slav said pointing his claw towards Hunk and Pidge who both flinched. "Consider this your first and your only warning."

"Uh, right," the pair said in unison, nodding their heads.

"Matthew, I trust you can take your sister from here?"

"Yes sir," Matt said with a nod of his head, grabbing Pidge's arm he dragged his sister back to their home. Hunk let out a sigh of relief, swimming off before Slav changed his mind.

Keith let out a sigh before heading back to the palace, one guard in front of him and one behind him.

Keith slumped onto the window sill beside his bed with a sigh, his bangs fluffing in front of his eyes. Meanwhile, his sisters were all getting ready for bed.

"Don't look now but dinner kind of exploded on your face," Ezor said as Hira got ready to wipe the facemask she had on off her face. "And it's a mess."

"This is better, it's plankton extract and sea salt," Hira replied with a soft sigh as she brushed through her hair.

"Pretty," Ezor replied with a roll of her eyes.

"It rejuvenates the skin and it won't clog your pores."

"Oh whatever," Ezor said with a sigh, swimming away to help Shay with her hair.

"Uh, is that my mask?" Axca asked Narti who swam past her and collapsed on her bed, a seaweed sleeping mask covering her eyes.

"No," Narti replied only to gasp as Axca swiped it off her eyes.

"It's got my initial on it," Axca said pointing to the gold A on the left side of the mask.

"It does?"

"Oh just give it back and stop arguing," Allura said with a roll of her yes, brushing through her hair.

"My brush?" Axca asked as she dug through the trunk beside Narti's bed.

"Yeah, I couldn't find mine and just borrowed yours."

"My lucky seashells?"

"They're not that lucky and they're an ugly colour."

Keith sighed and rolled his eyes. He was sort of thankful he wasn't born a girl, then he would be fighting for everything like his sisters were at the moment.

"You took Mr. Fuzifinkles!?" Axca asked pulling her stuffed sea horse out of the trunk.

"Yeah, I did because he likes me, look."

"You took my pillow to?"

"Yeah because that's for Mr. Fuzifinkles," Narti said with a roll of her eyes as she pulled the pillow out of Axca's hands.

"Nice try," Axca said with a huff, ripping the pillow away from Narti.

"Give it back!"

"Narti, enough, you always do this, it's my stuff."

"Finally some entertainment," Ezor said as the girls watched the two sisters play out.

"Tell me about it," Hira said as she tossed the towel she used to wipe her facemask off in the laundry bin.

"Hey!" Shay announced hearing someone approach. "He's coming."

The girls froze and everyone went to stand by their bed, Axca ripping the pillow out of Narti's hands with a glare. Narti rolled her eyes and fixed her hair, just as their father walked in.

"Good evening everyone," Shiro said with a smile.

"Father."

"Sleep well," Shiro said glancing around at his daughters, before his eyes landed on Keith, still slumped on the window sill.

"Goodnight Father."

Allura sent a soft glare towards Keith before sending a sympathetic smile to her father.

"Keith?" the girls turned to Keith, silently hoping he would get over his moody mood and wish their father goodnight. Keith just rolled his eyes and glanced back out the window.

"Good night," Keith said with a small huff. He could hear his sisters gasp softly and murmur amongst each other before his father let out a soft sigh.

"Yes, goodnight," he said before exiting the bedroom. Once he was gone, Allura turned to Keith with a soft glare.

"Why did you do that?" she asked as the other girls got into bed. "He's our father."

Keith stared at his sisters who avoided his eyes as they got into bed before sighing and turning his back to the bedroom.

"You can sit there pouting as long as you want Keith," Allura said pulling her blanket over her shoulder. "Nothing is ever going to change."

As his sisters fell asleep, Keith plucked one of the flowers above the window and letting it fall slowly to the ground. However, as he did, he noticed Hunk and Pidge swim out of one of the bushes in front of the palace.

"Huh?" Keith asked softly as he watched the pair swim to the back gate of the kingdom. Keith spared a look into the bedroom, seeing that his sisters were fast asleep, he turned and swim out the window.

Keith followed a few feet behind Hunk and Pidge, making sure he wouldn't be found out. He watched as the pair swam to the edge of the kelp forest. As they did, Keith hid behind a rock ducking down as the pair glanced around to make sure they weren't followed.

"Can I do it this time?" Hunk asked Pidge to which the girl nodded.

"Go ahead, I did it last time."

"Yes!" Hunk cheered before turning back to the kelp forest and whistling a tune, Keith's eyes widened as the forest parted and allowed the pair to swim in. As the entrance began to close back up, Keith glanced nervously back to the palace before taking a deep breath and swimming towards the forest. He barely made it through before the forest closed back up.

"Close one," Keith muttered softly with a sigh as he slowed down and caught his breath. He turned hearing Hunk and Pidge talking and saw the pair swimming along the ground. Luckily, the kelp allowed the Prince space to hide from the pair as he followed them. "Where are they going?"

The pair eventually reached a rock wall. Pidge swam up to the wall but was stopped by Hunk.

"You said I could do it this time," Hunk whined with a pout.

"You wanted to do to the whistle, so I get to do this part."

"Fine but next time I'm doing it."

"Whatever."

"Just hurry before someone catches us," Hunk said as he nervously glanced around. Pidge rolled her eyes before swimming the rest of the way to the wall and knocking a pattern of knocks. The next thing Keith knew, an entrance opened up and the pair swam in. The hidden entrance slamming shut after them.

"Too far in to stop now," Keith said with a sigh and swam up to the wall once he was sure that the pair weren't coming back out. Keith then repeated the same sequence he heard Pidge do and the entrance opened back up. Keith swam in and flinched as the entrance slammed shut behind him. In the wall a large cave was carved out, it was dimly lit by glowing algae growing on the side of the walls.

The further Keith went, he eventually caught up to Hunk and Pidge as they turned a corner. Peeking out from behind, Keith watched as they swam up to another entrance, this one made out of a giant seashell.

"Flippity-flop and slide to the side," Hunk said.

"The joint is jumping," a voice from inside called out.

"It's time to glide," Pidge said. There was a few moments of nothing before the door rolled open and then closed as the pair entered. It was clear that there was a secret message to get in. After a few minutes, Keith started to swim up to the door but froze as he heard it open, quickly he hid back behind the corner as he saw a fish get tossed out and the door slam shut behind him.

"I was just here yesterday!" the fish growled with a glare to the door before he sighed and started to swim away. "Oh well, better luck tomorrow."

As the fish swam by, Keith tried to make himself one with the wall so he wouldn't be found out. However, what he wasn't expecting was the "wall" behind him to engulf him and send him tumbling down a tunnel. Keith cried out as he landed on the ground before he sat up.

"Who's ready for the main event?" a voice called out, Keith's eyes widened as he heard cheering and music start playing. He had somehow ended up in some sort of club, probably when he fell through the wall.

A bubble curtain was pulled up by the stage to reveal 4 sea creatures on the stage, each playing different instruments. One was a indigo octopus playing the piano, another was a green manta ray playing the bass, another was a brown turtle playing the drums, and the fourth was an orange fish playing the saxophone. As they started to play and sing, the crowd started dancing.

"Shake, shake, shake, Senora

As Keith looked around, he could see everyone was lively and having fun. While there weren't any merpeople, there were plenty of sea creatures.

"Work, work, work, Senora

Eventually, Keith ended up finding Hunk and Pidge amongst the crowd and a smile grew on his face.

"Hunk! Pidge!" he called out making the pair freeze.

"Is that Keith?" Pidge asked as she turned around with wide eyes.

"Quiznak!" Hunk cried out as the pair swam towards him and went to pull him down.

"Keith you need to hide, like now," Pidge said glancing nervously towards the stage.

"Hide? Why would I need to hide?" Keith asked as he fought to pull his arms free from Hunk and Pidge.

"If he sees him, he literally might kill us this time," Hunk said nervously to Pidge who nodded in agreement.

"If who sees me?" Keith asked as he finally pulled his arms free and stood back up. "And why didn't you tell me about-"

Suddenly, a spotlight shined towards the top of the stairs as another curtain was pulled up. Keith's eyes widened at who slid down to the stage and ducked down with Hunk and Pidge.

"Slav!" Keith exclaimed as Slav started to sing and dance with the band.

"My girl's name is Senora

I tell you, friends, I adore her"

"Wait, Slav?" Keith asked turning to the pair in confusion.

"When she dances, oh, brother

She's a hurricane in all kinds of weather

OK, I believe you"

"Yeah, this whole club was Slav's idea," Pidge said with a chuckle.

"He opened it a year or two after King Adam died," Hunk said turning back to Slav who had grabbed a pair of maracas and started to dance with them as he sang. "He's kind of famous around here."

"Which is why we tried to hide you," Pidge added. "If he found out you were here, he'd probably skin us alive."

"Jump in the line

Oh! Oh! Oh!

Shake, shake, shake, Senora"

Keith watched as Slav sang and danced around the stage. The last person he'd expect to go against his father's rule of no music was Slav.

"Shake your body line

Work, work, work, Senora"

"Does Matt know about this place to?" Keith asked turning to Pidge who shook her head softly.

"No, I never told him about it."

"Work it all the time

Jump in the line

Rock your body in time"

Confetti then exploded into the room as the song started to come to a close. Keith took this opportunity to swim up to the stage. Unfortunately, before Hunk or Pidge could stop him.

"Keith!" the pair called out before swimming after him.

"Jump in the line

Rock your body in time

Rock your body, child!

Jump in the line

Rock your body in-"

As Slav turned back to the crowd he cried out seeing the Prince in the front row leaning against the stage. The music stopped and everyone froze, they knew who the Prince was.

"Why didn't you tell me you had an underground club?" Keith asked.

"It's the Prince!" someone called out from the crowd. As everyone started panicking, the indigo octopus who had been playing the piano swam up and squirted black ink as she swam around. The crowd fleeing and hiding where they were supposed to in case of situations like this.

"Wait!" Keith called out as the room grew silent. "I won't tell! Hang on!"

Apologies for taking so long to update this story. University has been kicking my ass and keeping me busy since my classes are still online. I've also been reading over my older stories that I've already written and been updating them with new details I thought of and such. Mostly changing dialogue that I think would fit the characters better than the original script of the movies the AU's are based on. So keep an eye out for when those get updated and such.

I've already gotten started on the next chapter for this story, so I'm hoping to have that finished soon and have it uploaded.
