Episode 6: Dog Eat Dog (24/12/2021)
Mike is looking outside at Hector's nursing home. Everything seems so silent, so dead. Then he sees Gus leaving. Gus wonders if informing Lalo that Nacho poisoned Hector was in his best interests; he felt he acted impulsively. Only viable option now is to immediately execute plan B.
Mike asks him to reconsider, give it more time… But to Gus, Lalo represents a far too important threat.
Back to Hector's room, Nacho doesn't say a word. He is too scared of Lalo's reaction. Lalo smiles: 'What are you waiting for? We need to leave.' Nacho doesn't feel safe, but he has no choice.
Mike calls Jimmy. This is urgent and if he follows the instructions, he has nothing to worry about. He needs Domingo (Krazy-8) to inform the DEA that he can provide them with the location of Eduardo Salamanca. Jimmy and Kim are shocked: What? Lalo is still alive!? Jimmy does not have the time to think it through; he follows the instruction.
Lalo and Nacho arrive at their hideout. One of Gus's men notifies Mike (which means that they managed to pinpoint Lalo's hideout using the location of Lyle's phone in the prior episode).
Lalo ties up Nacho and starts torturing his father with a taser in front of him. Nacho lied to him in the eyes twice; now he wants the truth, all the truth.
Then Nacho cracks and admits he poisoned Hector but falsely claims that this was under the threats of Gus to protect his father. Eye for an eye. Lalo tells him that he will incapacitate his father as he did for Hector. Nacho is begging him; he will do whatever he wants. But Lalo doesn't care anymore. Papa Varga passes out.
Domingo meets with Hank and Gomez. They are wondering what all this fuss is about. He tells them that his former boss, Lalo is back in town and gives them his address. He mentions that he is armed and that he plans to change his location soon (a lie to force the DEA to intervene quickly).
Hank convinces his boss to launch the operation.
Early in the morning, the squad arrives at Lalo's hideout, ready to intervene. They don't have much time.
Lalo and his men hear a weird sound outside. And then smoke grenades are thrown. The squad forces the entry, an alarm starts beeping. Lalo is surprised. Is this Gus again or the police? No time to think.
He points his gun at Nacho and then, without notice, shoots Nacho's father! Eye for an eye. He manages to escape again, leaving a devastated Nacho alone. There are gunfights between Lalo's men and the DEA. Nacho is arrested.
Mike watches from a distance the scene and sees Lalo escaping. What? Not again… Victor comes to pick him and they start searching for Lalo. They know they do not have much time, before police backup arrives.
Lalo is hiding in a parked car. He sees that someone is patrolling, but doesn't know who. He takes a big breath and just speeds up. Mike looks at the rear-view mirror: a car is driving in the opposite direction. Lalo?
Mike and Victor start following the car, but Lalo is speeding too much… Victor presses the gear pedal…
End of Season 6 Part 1.
TL; DR: After learning that Nacho tried to kill Hector, Lalo tortures Nacho's father. Gus has to resort to his plan B: Jimmy asks Domingo (Krazy-8) to inform the DEA about Lalo's location thanks to Lyle's phone's location. The DEA launches a raid, but Lalo manages to escape. Again.
