Darka: So I'm finally back huh?

Aurasoul: Damn right you are and so we can get to the inner heck and by the by as usual I don't own Zexal only my OCs but Antares and Sirius belong to Barian-chan, Shane to Shane Kor, Bakura to 0713MM, and Barian-chan and I share Lyra and also a shout out to MM for helping me with my work so now enjoy the show!

Chapter 25

"V… Vector-sama, what in the world are these?" Heartland gaped.

In front of Heartland was a large machine Vector sat on the throne with a sneer. "Those are Numbers I made. Fake Numbers to put it bluntly." He replied.

"Fake Numbers?" Heartland questioned.

"Correct. And when I scatter them across the Human World…"

Lightning crashed down as Vector spoke his plan to Heartland who was stunned for a moment before grinning. "Oooh! These fake Numbers have such a bravo effect!" He grinned.

"I want you to spread them throughout the Human World." Vector told him. "And also get your hands on the Numbers, Yuma and the rest gave to their little friends."

"Leave it to me! I'll definitely get their Numbers!" Heartland assured.

Vector glared and reached out his hand glowing as he clenched his fist resulting in Heartland gasping and being lifted in the air as if being choked. "Urgh… It hurts!" He choked.

"That's much better." Vector spoke darkly. "Listening? This is your last chance."

"I… I understand, master." Heartland choked. "This time, I'll make sure…"

Vector scoffed and swung his hand sending Heartland flying to the floor releasing his grip on him. "Guess I got no choice. I'm giving you one last chance." Vector told him. "But if you don't screw this up, maybe I'll make you one of the Emperors."

"Me… One of the Seven Emperors?!" Heartland gasped.

"Yeah." Vector sneered.

"I-I thank you for your mercy!" Heartland bowed.

"Even an incomplete buffon like you can win if you use that card now go." Vector spoke.

The Fake Numbers fell from the sky above Heartland City and as the citizens began to pick them up they slowly began to become controlled. Underwater in the submarine the Number Club along with III and IV, Koru, Shane, and Harumi watched on the screen. "The riots started this morning show no signs of stopping." The reporter replied.

"Another riot, huh?" Tetsuo frowned.

"They've been happening all over in the last few days." III replied.

"And they've also been happening here in, Heartland." Takashi remarked.

"But wh-eow all of a sudden?" Cathy questioned.

"It must have something to do with Numbers." III spoke, pressing a button.

"Numbers?" Harumi questioned, as the screen changed.

"Yes I don't know how they got them, but those who have them seem to be the source of the messes." III explained. "And it looks like there's around one million of them…"

"It's impossible." IV replied.

"No doubt this could be Vector's doing." Sirius frowned.

"This looks like his handy work. But to be able to do something this full scale…" Antares frowned.

"At any rate none of us should touch those cards no matter what." Shane replied. "Now would you two explain to us what happened to Yuma and the others?"

"We can't use the Comm systems right now." IV sighed.

III then noticed the monitor. "It looks like V-Niisama has finally returned." He spoke.

They allowed the submarine to submerge to see the aircraft flying above them Kotori and Lizzie looking out the window as they returned to the City.

"The Dimensional Gateway you sent Yuma and the others through closed?" Tetsuo questioned shocked.

The others were speaking with V in the warehouse he and his brothers settled in the others looked shocked. "So then what happened to them?!" Cathy demanded.

"I don't know." V frowned.

"They're not coming back, or not?" Tokunosuke questioned.

"You don't think they could have…!" Cathy began tearfully.

"What were you thinking to leave them behind?!" Harumi demanded frantically.

"To do something like that, or not!" Tokunosuke agreed.

"Stop you guys! V is taking this just as bad as all of us!" Lizzie frowned.

"We just have to have faith in them."

They looked up at Koru who was leaning on the wall on his back arms crossed looking to the side. "No doubt they're fine and no doubt they will get Darka back." He said, his green eyes dark. "After all it's them."

With that Koru walked out the warehouse the others watching them. "You know I think that Koru took Darka's situation the hardest after all he's known her longer than any of us." III frowned sympathetically.

"But he is right Yuma, Astral, Astrana, and the others they'll be fine and no doubt come back to us with Darka-chan." Kotori agreed.

"Kotori-san." Takashi spoke.

"They wouldn't need to go if it weren't for me." Harumi frowned tearfully.

"Harumi you and Blackmist were being controlled it's not your fault." Sirius frowned.

"Speaking of how is Blackmist?" Lyra asked.

Harumi only shook her head taking out Blackmist's card. "No changes whatsoever of his body not even becoming a spirit I really think…" She tearfully held the card, the others watching her sadly.

Koru stepped outside with a sigh running a hand through his brown hair before reaching in his Extra Deck to get out his Numbers but no longer was it Number 14: Betrayed Wild Tiger but instead Greedy Sarameya. Darka… He thought.

Flashback…

Koru walked to the Shinori house after receiving a call from Darka to come over he reached the door and knocked. He didn't have to wait long as the door swung open to show Darka who smiled. "Koru you're here. Come in." She grinned.

"You were the one who asked me to come." He replied, walking in the house.

She only giggled closing the door as they walked to the living room to see Astrana. "Hey Astrana." He voiced.

"Hello Koru I'm glad you could be here." Astrana smiled softly.

"Wait you needed to see me?" He asked surprised.

"Well we both do but mainly Astrana." Darka replied. "It's about your Numbers."

"Do you need it now for the memory?" He asked.

"No we still have time for that but it's more on the Number itself." Darka told him.
"I'm not following." He frowned confused.

"Koru when you found Number 14. Was the card originally blank?" Astrana asked.

He grew wide eyed surprised before getting out the Numbers from his Extra Deck. "Yeah it was I found the card then saw Darka with Yuma and the others and I felt so hurt that was when the card became Wild Tiger." He explained.

"Just like you thought Astrana." Darka hummed.

"Indeed." Astrana nodded.

"Ok girls you're scaring me." Koru sweatdropped.

"Heh sorry Koru it's just the thing is your Numbers isn't in it's true form." Darka smiled.

"Huh?" He questioned shocked.

"The Number was influenced by your emotions and was changed to become Betrayed Wild Tiger but I believe Wild Tiger isn't it's true form." Astrana explained.

"You're kidding…" He gaped.

"Believe me I was surprised myself but the Numbers we found we're the same way." Darka smiled, showing him her Numbers.

He checked them and surprised to see some that were different then he had seen. "Number 45: Crumble Logos the Prophet of Demolition, Number 23: Lancelot, Dark Knight of the Underworld their completely different." He gaped.

"Yeah and it's the same for yours too." Darka nodded, taking back her Extra Deck.

"Then how did you changed them?" He questioned.

"We used our power to do so and we would like to do the same for you." Astrana told him. "Of course we'll still return it to you for it has a connection with you."

He looked at them surprised before he handed them Number 14. "Yeah it's no problem you guys with Yuma and Astral are technically the owners of the Numbers you do what you gotta do." He replied.

"Thanks Koru." Darka smiled, as Astrana took the card. "And I'm really glad you're still sticking by my side despite this whole Numbers War and the Barians."

"Hey we've been best friends since we were babies that's never gonna change." He smirked.

Darka smiled as Number 14 glowed in Astrana's hand before the light died down handing back to Koru. "Here your true Numbers." She smiled.

He took it getting a look. "Number 14: Greedy Sarameya." He spoke.

"Huh Number 14 still guess it's your lucky Number." Darka giggled.

"Haha very funny." He smirked. "But listen Darka no matter what you get yourself into or what you become I always got your back."

Darka looked surprised but smiled and hugged Koru tightly. "Thanks Koru." She smiled.

End of Flashback…

That's right I always supported her and that's why I have faith she'll come back no matter what she will come back. He thought, holding his Numbers tightly.

Suddenly his Number resonated much to his shock before looking above as the others came out to see Heartland. "Bonjour everyone." Heartland smirked.

"Heartland!" Koru gaped.

"I would love to sit and chat about old times, but I don't think you'd enjoy that." Heartland smirked. "Now everyone if you can kindly look over there!"

They all looked up at the sky to see red light charging above them before crashing down as a pillar of light. "Wh-what is that?!" Kotori gasped.

"It's showtime!" Heartland yelled, as the pillar pulsated.

Everyone then gasped all feeling a pressure as if being smothered. "This pressure!" Sirius gasped.

"Body feels heavy." Lyra squeaked.

"There's a change in the Spatial Mass!" Orbital yelled. "That pillar of light is the energy of the Barian World!"

"So that whole pillar is Chaos?!" Shane demanded.

"Could it be… Are you trying to unite our world with the Barians?!" V demanded.

"Bingo!" Heartland grinned maniacally, jumping down. "And your door prize is an eternal trip to the afterlife! And you get a group invitation!"

"But how could you find us?!" IV snapped.

"That's all thanks to the Numbers we've been handing out all over the world." Heartland smirked. "People who are greedier than most can't hide their greed. They're attracted to the hearts of weaklings, you see. And those who have one give off a special frequency."

"Which he used to find us." Antares grunted.

"Then someone here has a Number on them?!" III gasped.

"Hey, you punks! Don't tell me you guys actually have one of those damn things!" IV yelled.

"Hey don't look at me!" Tetsuo yelled.

"Nor me!" Takashi spoke.

"It's ne-ot me!" Cathy added.

Koru gasped quickly looking to Tokunosuke. "Don't tell me Tokunosuke!" He gasped.

Tokunosuke reached in his pocket to pull out the Fake Numbers. "Tch. Idiot." IV scowled.

"Why did you?" Tetsuo began.

"I… I picked it up." Tokunosuke admitted. "I figured if I had this I could be stronger at Dueling and help Yuma, Astral, and Astrana… I'm always so useless, or not. So… So…"

"Tokunosuke-kun." Kotori frowned sadly.

"You wanted to help!" Heartland clapped. "Such good intentions paved the road to Hell, I'm afraid. How splendid! And soon the entire planet will be swallowed up! Into the Barian World! And those with their hands on the Numbers we gave out… Can no longer control their desires and emotions. They'll be turned to dark energy and be absorbed into the pipe connecting this world and the Barian World!"

"No way! Then Tokunosuke!" Takashi began.

Suddenly a howl echoed from around them making them gasp looking up shocked as Greedy Sarameya leaped taking the Fake Numbers from Tokunosuke making him yelp as it ate it. "Wh-What?!" Heartland gasped.

"Don't feel guilty when you only wish to help, Tokunosuke." They looked at Koru who had on his duel disk in which to summon Greedy Sarameya who walked back to him as he glared at Heartland. "You only wanted to help your friends and if that is considered greed then be as greedy as you like." He replied.

"Koru…" Tokunosuke gasped.

"You punk how dare you intervene!" Heartland yelled.

"We cannot allow this world to be consumed by Barian World for it will be the end of us and Astral World." Koru frowned.

"So then that means you'll stop all of you from vanishing?" Heartland mocked.

"Until Yuma and the others come back with Darka I will stand in your way as the safeguard." Koru replied, Sarameya growling in agreement before disappearing. "Come Heartland I'll duel you here and now!"

"Kids like you should learn some manners!" Heartland snapped. "I'll make sure to rip your Number out with my own two hands!"

"Stop right there you scum!" They all gasped hearing a very familiar voice as they looked up.

"That voice!" Harumi gasped. A light shone in the red sky before several colored mists of light flew down swirling around one another before landing in front of Heartland in a massive explosion of light of gold and silver making them gasp stun as the lights died down to show Yuma, Astral, Darka, Astrana, Kaito, Hotaru, Manami, Nyx, and Bakura all of them stunned as Kotori tearfully smiled.

"Yuma, Darka!" She cried.

"Darka-chan you're alive!" Antares cheered.

"Darka!" Harumi cried with tears. Darka faced the others with a bright smile.

"Hey everyone. Sorry we're late." she smiled.

"Nah you're right on time Darka", Koru smirked. Darka laughed and they all smiled hearing the familiar laugh they missed as she looked at them.

Shark and Rio aren't here which means... She thought inwardly frowning. She then faced Heartland and smirked.

"Well guess the others weren't kidding when they told me you were alive Heartland!" She spoke.

"Darka Shinori." Heartland scowled before he smirked.

"This is a surprise. Last I heard you were brutally wounded by Vector-sama to the point you were thought to be dead."

"Well I can assure you that wasn't the case. As you can see I am here and well and ready to take you down like the no good disgusting fly you are", Darka smirked.

"Why you!" Heartland growled.

"Hahaha! This is gonna be good seeing Darkalicia give a beatdown", Nyx grinned.

"Fine then. I'll crush you and take your Numbers!" Heartland smirked.

"Big talk coming from an insect like you." Darka smirked.

"Darka are you sure you're up to duel?" Yuma asked worried.

"Huh?" Darka questioned.

"You only just recovered from your wound after all." Astral frowned.

"He's right; you might strain yourself." Astrana agreed with a worried expression on her face. Darka chuckled.

"Don't worry you three. I'm fine and besides," she smirked, pointing at Heartland. "I've been stuck in that crystal for for too long. And taking out this guy will be an excellent warm up."

"Warm up?!" Heartland yelled angrily.

"But if you insist." Darka said, facing Kaito.

"Kaito mind assisting me to ease the worrywarts?"

"Hey!" Yuma and Astrana voiced, Astral sighing. Kaito's lips formed a smirk.
"Of course I'll help you out against this freak of nature Darka.: Kaito replied. When Kaito said "freak of nature", Heartland knew he was referring to him. His eyes twitched violently.
"Freak of nature?!" Heartland almost shrieked.

Hotaru laughed.

"Nice one Kaito!" She laughed.

"Though Darka you don't have your duel disk and D-Gazer. You lost them at that pocket dimension when you were attacked, remember?" Manami frowned.

"We got her covered." IV spoke with a smirk. IV tossed Darka a suitcase which she caught easily. As she opened it and smirked seeing a rose red D-Gazer with sakura pink trim and green lens along with a duel disk the D-pad silver and crescent shaped with a white trim with the touchpad black diamond shaped.

"We had these made just in case." III smiled.

"You three know me too well." Darka chuckled.

"Well Astrana, Kaito shall we get started beating this fly?" Kaito's smile didn't falter at hearing that.
"You don't have to tell me twice.' Kaito replied. "Go Photon Transformation!"

"Duel disk set"! Darka yelled, throwing the duel disk as she had it on.

"I'll send you both, to hell Darka! Kaito!" Heartland yelled, as he had on his duel disk.

"We'll see about that Heartland D-Gazer set!" Darka said, putting on her D-Gazer. Then suddenly, Darka gasped images flashing in her mind making her touch her head for a moment with a frown.

"Darka?" Astrana spoke worried.

"I'm fine." Darka assured.

"Bakura." At once Bakura was at her side as Darka whispered to him which he grew wide eyed and nodded before he quickly left.

"Is something wrong?" Astrana whispered to her.

"Hard to say." Darka only said, before she smirked.

"Let's get started!"

"Hmph! Already set I see. But we'll be making things interesting." Heartland smirked.

"Since this will be two against one I'll have 8000 LPs while you two have 2000 LPs each."

"Handicapped I see. Hmph. Fine by me. The results will be the same with you squirming like a worm." Darka smirked.

"That's it! I'll send you down to hell first Darka!" Heartland yelled angrily.

"Try it fly." Darka smirked.

"Duel!"

Vector watched the duel in the throne room on a crystal snickering with glee. "Hahaha! Those fools will wish they never came back!" He laughed, before seeing a green light from the distance. "Huh? That light… That's the signal for the Barian Emperors to gather. What's going on here…?"

The pillar of chaos exploded in energy making Darka and Kaito gasp as Kaito winced static covering him in pain.

"It hurts doesn't it Kaito? This world is turning into Barian World in other words the entire planet has the same effect as the Barian's field." Heartland smirked. "Which means it's a duel where you'll feel real pain!"

"What a convenient handicap for you." Darka spoke. They gasped looking at Darka who had her eyes closed the static on her as well. "But sadly for you." She said, opening her eyes.

With a flick of her wrist the static dispelled from herself and Kaito making them gasp. "It won't work." She smirked.

"What?!" Heartland gaped in shock.

"How did she?" V began to question.

"Hmph. Don't underestimate Darkalicia. She's more powerful than you think. This kind of thing is nothing." Nyx smirked.

"Are you alright Astrana, Kaito?" Darka asked the two.

"I'm fine." Astrana nodded. Kaito turned to glanced at Darka and nodded.
"Yeah I'm fine." Kaito told Darka.

"Good." Darka said relieved before smirking at Heartland. "Make your move fly. Unless you're too scared that is." At Darka saying that, Heartland grit his teeth in frustration.
"Oh yeah?!" Heartland snapped. "Well let's see what you think after I go first! I draw!" (Heartland's hand: 6 cards. Darka/Kaito's hand: 5 cards.) Heartland grabbed 2 cards from his hand and revealed them.
"To start my turn off, I activate the effect of Darklord Ixchel from my hand." Heartland began. "Now by discarding her and my Superbia, I can draw two new cards." Heartland discarded them both to draw 2 more cards from his deck.

"Darklords. If I remember right. it's a Dark deck focuses on Summoning the Darklords from the graveyard with their traps and spells, along with their effects." Darka spoke with a frown.
"Well that's not good." Kaito admitted.

"This could be troublesome." Astrana frowned.
"Ha! Well Astrana certainly said the understatement!" Heartland retorted. "Now that my hand is full again, I shall start by activating the continuous Spell, Darklord Hall!" Upon the activation, a massive shadowed hallway outlined the entire area. True it's no field spell, but that did not matter. (Darklord Hall, type: Continuous Spell.)
"Darklord Hall?" Kaito wondered. "What does that do?"
"What does it do?" Heartland repeated Kaito's question in a mocking tone. "Well since you asked so nicely, I'll tell you. See during either of our Main Phases or Battle Phases, I can Special Summon 1 Darklord monster from either my hand or graveyard."

"Either of their Main Phases or Battle Phases?!" Tetsuo questioned; shocked.

"I see so in other words it's similar to Valhalla but benefiting to the Darklords." Darka frowned. Heartland grinned as he pulled a card from his hand and revealed it. It was a Darklord monster.
"And thanks to my Hall, I shall Special Summon this! Come! Darklord Asmodeus!" From one of the many side corridors of the massive hall, a white dressed shadow fairy emerges. Its red eyes flash at Kaito and Darka. (Darklord Asmodeus, Level 8 DARK Fairy-type, ATK/DEF: 3000/2500.)

"Asmodeus. Truly a monster unbefitting to a scum fly like yourself." Darka smirked. Heartland's eyes twitched upon Darka insulting him, but continued with his turn regardless.
"Anyways! I activate Asmodeus's effect!" Heartland declared. "See once per turn I can send 1 Fairy-type monster to my graveyard from my deck. So for this, I choose Darklord Zerato." A card ejected itself from Heartland's deck. He grabbed it, then slid the card into his graveyard.
"Anything else sleazeball?" Kaito asked sharply. Heartland gritted his teeth.
"Enough of this insultery!" Heartland snarled. "Now then, I activate Darklord Contact!" Upon activation, an altar appeared onto the field. "Thanks to this, I can now target 1 Darklord monster in my Graveyard. And if I do that, I can Special Summon that target! So return Darklord Superbia! But wait there's more! Now Darklord Superbia revives my Ixchel!" After saying it, both Darklords rose onto the field in face-up DEF mode. (Darklord Superbia, Level 8 DARK Fairy-type, ATK/DEF: 2900/2400. Darklord Ixchel, Level 10 DARK Fairy-type, ATK/DEF: 2500/2900.)

"He was able to summon 3 high level monsters just like that?!" Takashi swallowed.

"Two level eight monsters." Astrana frowned.

"It's coming." Darka frowned.
"Whatever you're referring to, it'll have to wait! I activate the Spell Darklord Burial! Since there's a DARK monster on the field, I can discard 1 Darklord monster from my hand, then I can send another Darklord monster from my deck to the Graveyard, along with 1 Darklord Spell/Trap card. So the monster I discard is my Darklord Nasten, then I'll send a 2nd Superbia and The Sanctified Darklord from my Deck to the graveyard." Heartland did just that.
"Keep filling your grave all you want scum." Kaito told Heartland. "It won't make a difference." At this, Heartland chuckled darkly.
"Oh really Kaito?" Heartland questioned.
"What?"
"I activate Ixchel's effect! Now by paying 1000 LP, I can activate a Darklord Spell/Trap card effect in my graveyard! After that, said Spell/Trap is shuffled back into my Deck! I choose Darklord Contact!" A ghostly form of the altar appeared, then out came Darklord Zerato. Heartland placed Darklord Contact back on top of his deck, then the deck instantly shuffled. (Heartland's LP: 8000 - 1000 = 7000. Darklord Zerato, Level 8 DARK Fairy-type. ATK/DEF: 2800/2300.)
"Now he has 3 Level 8's." Kaito noted.

"That's right Kaito! Now I Overlay my level 8 Darklord Zerato, Superbia, and Asmodeus to build the Overlay Network!" Heartland smirked as the 3 monsters became purple mists and going in the Overlay Network. "With these 3 monsters I build the Overlay Network! Xyz summon! Appear Number 1! The dark buzzing of the amazing lord of flies echoes fantastically! Infection Baal Zebul!" They all gasped as the insect fly monster appeared on the field.

"I see I kept you waiting." Vector said, walking to the other Emperors.

"What's up? Why the hell did you guys call for an emergency meeting"?

Vector looked at them before looking up to see two figures one sitting on the throne the other standing next to him. "Who's that"? Vector questioned.

"Long time no see Vector", one of them spoke.

Vector grew wide eyed before glaring at the two. "Who the hell are you"?! He demanded.

"You forgot about us? How cruel", the figure spoke.

Vector gasped in realization. "I-it can't be! She's Merag"! Vector said shocked.

"Th-then the other one's"?!

The second figure stood up from the throne next to Merag as Vector gasped. "Na… Nasch! It can't be… You're still alive"?!

Aurasoul: And that's that for this chapter.

Kaito: So we get to put down that fly.

Darka: Oh the pleasure of having the honors.

Astrana: I couldn't agree more.
